My next door neighbor from back in the late '70's co-wrote this book. Never really asked Mr. Duggan for a copy as I was just a teen and didn't really care for politics but I knew he helped write speeches for President Johnson. Looking back now after reading this book, that's pretty cool
Saw this at a used book store and thought to myself, I'll give this a read nearly 45 years after it came out.
Again, not knowing a lot about politics, I began reading and turns out I couldn't put this book down. I was fascinated by the events of this story and being a native Washingtonian, pictured the locations that came up in the book.
I hope Mr. Duggan and Mr. Wattenberg did well with the book. I found it interesting and couldn't put it down.
