This book was ok, but I felt to much of a long drawn out unnecessary story line. Then it w went to a fifty shades way, but very generic. Maybe it gets better with the other books, but I won't be able to judge that as this is the only book I will read in this series
This book is only 37 pages long and after kind of knowing what to expect from Lucia Jordan, it was a big let down. It drags on way too long with useless story, only to go from 0 to 100 in the last few pages. Also, I thought there was absolutely no chemistry between the protagonists.
After reading the short story it’s revealed that this story is a serial of sorts. Thats ok if you’re looking for a longer story broken up into 40ish pages.
The reason for such a low rating is how much time we spend with Lana and her bitchy sisters that by the time the meet cute happens it’s lackluster. Once the couple meet the pace is rocket fast. We go from “I’m hiring you to make an obnoxious amount of floral arrangements to, I’m taking you to dinner, to get in my car so I can make you cum, and even more, you call me sir and do what I tell you, then I’m going to rail you.”
Then out of nowhere her ex shows up at her house the next day.
If this is going to be a longer story why did the fucking need to happen so fast? Why did the D/s (might I add poorly written) need to be smashed into the already disjointed story?
Hot dominating sex scene what Max Winters wants he gets. He wants the florist Lana, who is talented, beautiful, vivacious. Now can he dominate Lana to his obsessives needs. It's a great scene with compassion, lust, control & desire. Now the question happens next with Lana, controlling sister & now that her abusive ex is at her front door. Can Max protect her & not just devour her in lust. But can both of them admit they love each other & this is more than lust. But an emotion connection.
Interesting storyline and cliffhanger ending to this novella. The main character is wonderfully creative and different as demonstrated by her family dynamic. It is close to the truth for a family of sisters and an interesting start to this short series.
Nobody knows Lana. Nobody knows her last boyfriend or her sister's friend. This is a passionate climb into the arms of a paramour who hasn't explained the game, yet...
Lana is a woman who just got out of an abusive relationship with her ex-boyfriend. She is working at her family's flower shop when they get a big order from a wealthy businessman. Lana goes to meet with Mr. Max Winters, after the meeting, she finds she wants more with the mysterious Mr. Winters.
This book was hard to get into at first, and it was very fast paced and hard to keep up with. Don't get me wrong but Mr. Winters was something else. The story was just kind of boring to me.
The more Books I read from this author the more I like her. I really enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to find out what happens in the next book. I like the story line and the characters. Very interesting read. I enjoyed it.
This was a short & quick read. Pretty much in an hour. Thou I'm a quick reader too. But what a tease! Lana is both really lucky & unlucky. I'm not to fond of her sister, Farah. She's cold & selfish. I'm super curious as to what's in store for Lana with Mr. Winters. So far, he comes off as super sexy & smooth, just the right amount to make you curious & desire more. the sight of her ex doesn't make me happy. I'm nervous to see what he's around for. Don’t trust him at all!
Super quick and easy novella to read. Great for a quickie before bed ;) Good writing, overall nice story. Always wishing stories like this are longer, because you an just image how much more the author could give us. But even knowing it was a novella, I knew that it would be short and sweet.
I love this author. I wish I were wealthy so I could just buy all of her books and read them all. She is a gifted writer. Mr Winters' character is something exquisite. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.
Very curious on how this story will play out. And why her sister is acting that way. Only disappointed cause it ended so quickly. Looking forward to learning more about Mr. Winters.
