Bonjour! Je m'appelle Lacey, I like croissants, chocolates and coffee. I'm in the city of love, with the man of my dreams. Except he's not mine.
The next installment sees Lacey in the most romantic city in the world - Paris! Abundantly aware that she is falling for her brother's best friend, the cocky but lovable rogue that is Tristan Keys, will this be finally the moment where they get together?
Maggie Way is the USA Today Bestselling Author who hails from Sydney, Australia. She loves drinking ridiculous amounts of wine, making her own beauty products from scratch, and traveling around the world while munching on cheese and chocolate. She lives with her real-life happily ever after, while fantasizing about all her hot fictional book boyfriends on the side.
She is also mommy to a little Maltese who may or may not be named after a famous vampire lover. In case you were wondering, no, she will never ever not in a million years write a vampire hero. She prefers her men to be true-to-life even when they just live inside her brain and on the pages of her books.
She writes stories with heat, humor, and lots of heart and is more than happy to say what the rest of us are thinking, and sometimes what we’re not.
This second volume is the next three stories about Lacey and Tristan. These three are more heartbreaking than the previous stories. I don't like to tell specifics (read the stories for that) but I so wanted to slap Tristan for what he says to Lacey about their relationship. I don't know if I can take anymore of this heartache, but I am now invested in finding out how it ends. Off to read the next book.
Paris is such a beautiful city in which to further explore the relationship between Lacey and Tristan. I love watching Lacey grow into the strong capable woman in her personal life that she is in her professional one. And the opportunity to see Tristan a little vulnerable is not to be missed. I can't wait to see what happens next, where it takes them. I received a complimentary copy of this book.
Overall this set is 4 stars. This review is for Books 4-6 of the Entangle Me series. This box set should not be read as a standalone and each novella should be read in order. Please note that each of the books are short quick reads. I read these books individually and since they end in cliffhangers, I like that you can go to the next book right away in a set like this. There is one more book published to close out the series. So be sure to read London to see how the story ends and find out if there is a HEA.
The characters and settings are well described in the blurb for each book and the entire set, and I'm not going to recap that in my review. Please read the blurb for more info on Lacey and Tristan. The descriptions of the locations are vivid and make me want to travel to see them. The storyline moves fairly fast. I really enjoyed these novellas and the entire storyline.
Paris. Tristan joins Lacey and her assistant Gabe for a destination wedding in Paris. The descriptions of both Paris and the food are vivid. Hopefully Tristan and Lacey can actually admit, and act on the fact, that they are attracted to each other, I'm ready for them to actually become a couple.
Tokyo. Tristan joins Lacey for a destination wedding in Tokyo. This time the client is Tristan's mother. Lacey is trying therapy to conquer her anxiety over flying and heights. There are surprise and revelations in this book. There is hot and steamy sex so definitely 18+.
Las Vegas. Lacey's brother wants a destination wedding in Las Vegas. While Lacey is trying to move on with a new relationship, Tristan will be her brother's Best Man. Lacey has conquered her anxiety over flying and heights thanks to therapy and has a big decision to make. There are more surprises and revelations in this book.
I have been waiting for this moment since I started reading the first book in this miniseries. From the very beginning I knew that they were going to go through problems before they would end up together and I still believe they will be tested. Lacey has been/seen enough for her to throw Tristan to the curb. Tristan has said some hurtful things and has acted like a fool at times. In this story he showed a different side of himself a side that I liked. Lacey also did something that I didn’t expect and that showed him that she really did care for him. There was one person in this story that showed her true colors and Tristan tried his best but in the end was unsuccessful well I shouldn’t say that because I was finally able to see Lacey and Tristan happy.
Paris was a great read. They were in the city of love and just when Tristan and Lacey were having a good time someone would show up and ruin it for them. I wanted for them to spend more time together go to the Eiffel Tower and just fall madly in love. But I loved the drama in this story it was interesting and it had the perfect amount. I can’t wait to see what is next in the lives of Lacey and Tristan. I know their journey is long from over.
I totally recommend this read, but if you haven’t read the first three books I recommend to start there before reading this book.
This is the 4th book in the Entangle Me series...I must say that this one was my favorite in the series to date! This book just flows and before I knew it I was reading the last page! We see Lacey, Gabe and Tristan in the romantic city of Paris to ensure that a wedding for two loves reconnecting is perfect! In this book we see much more of Tristan...this wedding he is to work with Lacey...both looking forward to this adventure and what it will bring! Enter Victoria and all of her craziness. In this book we see a bolder, more confident Lacey who doesn't mince words! Gabe is just Gabe! Tristan well.. I will not give away any secrets because that will spoil the book for those who have not yet read it! It does end with a bit of a cliffhanger which has me wanting the next book in the series just to see what happens! I was gifted a copy of this book by the author for an honest opinion of the book...I have read each one in the series and have enjoyed each one...Thank you Maggie Way for giving me the opportunity to read this book and this series...I look forward to reading more of your books!
I have read each of the book in this series individually and enjoyed each one of them! Each individual book ends with a cliffhanger and the beauty of reading them in a bundle is that you do not have to wait to find out what happens next...with that said who would not...you have Lacey who is a wedding planner and gets to travel the world doing just that! With in this series she works for Tristan and travels all over the world doing what she loves to do and that is to plan weddings that are perfect! Well lets throw into the mix that she has be in love with Tristan Keys for as long she can remember! He is her brother's best friend so you can imagine what she thinks his opinion would be if he knew! This series will have you laughing, gasping, have tears in your eyes and fanning your self! I will not spoil this for anyone by revealing secrets that unfold in the books...you will need to read them to find out what happens! I did receive Advanced Reader Copies of each of the books in the series for my honest review of each book. As I said previously I truly enjoyed this series and hope that you do as well.
CITY OF LIGHTS AND CONQUERING FEARS. Paris is the fourth book in the Entangle Me series. The series centers on Lacey who is a wedding planner based in Sydney, Australia and Tristan. While this can be read as a standalone, the book ends in a cliffhanger and the story continues in the next book and throughout the series.
The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat all of that info here. In this book, Tristan joins Lacey and her assistant Gabe for a destination wedding in Paris. This is a quick predictable read but filled with real emotions including Lacey's anxiety over flying and being up on a high floor at the hotel. The descriptions of Paris and the food are vivid and make me want to travel there. I look forward to reading more of this series. Hopefully Tristan and Lacey can actually admit, and act on the fact, that they are attracted to each other, I'm ready for them to actually become s couple.
While I received a free copy of this book, I chose to leave a review for other readers.
Modern romances that are full of humour. Fast-paced and thoroughly enjoyable. A new writer who is spot-on with her selection of language and description of feelings. This will resonate with so many people today. What more do you need from stories in this genre? When you have believable, strong characters, with lots of romance, exotic locations and good writing - then you've cracked it. Things can get hot anywhere in the world given the right conditions! Whether it's on home ground, or on her travels Lacey has more steamy adventures than seems fair. Lucky girl. I voluntarily received an Advance Reader Copy of the books in this volume.
Lacey has partnered with Tristan for a large wedding in Paris. Never a task too big she and Gabe take over while Tristan gets side tracked. It's mixed signals and poor communication that is really messing with their relationship. Proud to see Lacey display some confidence but I was surprised at Tristan's lack of a back bone. You'll see what I mean, no spoilers here. Heads up, this ends with a bit of a cliffhanger and the previous books should be read in order. My copy was given by the author.
Tristan and Lacey are now heading to Paris now for wedding planning. When things start to look good for Tristan and Lacey, an 'uninvited' player enter the game. She seems to be still have the hots for Tristan and Tristan seems "happy" to accept her dinner invitation. But something happen and Lacey rushed off to save Tristan. Is this it??? When the two finally get together?? Or the "uninvited" will win Tristan away from Lacey???
Paris being one of my favourite cities in the world, naturally I was always going to give this one a try.
It starts off slightly slow, but as it builds and builds I would have never foreseen the direction the book takes. I don't like giving away spoilers so this is all I will say: this series will take you by surprise - the first and second book are cutesy and quirky, but this one takes a much more dramatic turn.
In this book it is Lacey's biggest event yet she is planning a two day wedding event with Tristan. In this book we meet Victoria who appears to be stalking Tristan. We meet the chef who is planning the food and is being stubborn but likes what he sees in Lacey. Events turn nasty after the wedding and Lacey races to save Tristan and goes up high in the hotel. On the flight back Lacey is traveling alone and goes through some rough turbulence and meets Edmund where will things lead?
Moving on from book 3, Tristan and Lacey fly to Paris for a celebrity wedding they were organizing. Both felt that this may be when they hooked up, but fate had other ideas. Traveling back home alone, Lacey has a panic attack, but another passenger helped her overcome it. Talking together made time fly. Lacey feels she's found a friend.
Tristan and Lacey still have life getting in the way of them getting together. Such an engrossing read and I totally got sucked into Maggie's description of Paris. It makes me want to visit even more now, and I can't wait to read the rest of the series. I have found a new author and would pay for the privilege of reading her books if I had not been gifted a copy for an honest review.
Wow! What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Volume 2 is amazing...so much love in each of the three books in this volume. The tRavello g and the wedding...swoon! Moving on is the hardest thing to do, but can you really? And seriously? VEGAS?!?! Love it!!!
Love this series...yes you really need to get this series like this in the boxed set so that you can just keep reading one novella to the next. I love this series and can't wait to read book 7. In this three book series we visit Paris, Tokyo and Los Vegas each novella is well written and ends in a cliff hanger so book 7 is London and not included in this set. Lacey and Tristan's relationship both personal and professional have been up and down and it goes like a rollercoaster in these novellas as well. But ah the fun in the reading of them...especially Vegas!!! Let me leave this review at that and get on to LONDON!
(I read this as a set but have to review as separate in goodreads.)
