Guy Rule: Don’t knock a girl up and disappear for a year.

Weston Davis was a jaded CIA operative who didn’t believe in love at first sight—until the moment he laid eyes on Aspen Kennedy and knew she was meant to be his. With an undercover operation only days away, the timing was horrible. But he didn’t let it get in the way of spending an explosive weekend with her before he has to leave.

Aspen believed Weston when he told her he’d be back. Twelve months, a positive pregnancy test, and countless emails later, she’s given up hope on ever hearing from him again. She’s left alone to raise their baby, a treasured gift from the man who’d stolen her heart and smashed it to pieces.

When Weston comes storming back into her life, he has a new mission: claim his family, find the person who’d almost caused him to lose them, and make them pay.

Warning: If you’re in the mood for a quick & dirty read with an alpha male who’s determined to make up for lost time, this novella is for you!

These are total guilty pleasure reads and this one was pretty par for the course.

OTT alpha.
Possessive caveman mentality (aka real life restraining order)
Very little character/relationship development
Sexy smexy scenes

Perfect for when you are in the mood for that sort of thing.

I’m Yours, Baby is book five in the Yeah, Baby series by Fiona Davenport. I really, really enjoyed this one. In addition to the Hero hotness, this one had the added bit of suspense that set it apart from the others in this series.

Weston Davis is a CIA agent, ready to go deep under cover for an extended amount of time, when he took a weekend to go to Atlanta to visit his sister. While sitting in a bar, he met a woman who, at first sight, just stopped time. He knew right away that she was destined to be his. After talking for an hour, they went to his hotel and spent a weekend together that changed his life. He couldn’t tell her much but gave her an email address where she could contact him. But he never heard from her, not once. Now, a year later, he’s back. And he wants answers. Because like it or not, she is his.

“This girl was everything my dreams were made of. And, somehow I knew, the beauty on the inside would match that of the outside.”

tatooed man with baby:

Aspen Kennedy thought that something special had happened that weekend with Weston. And she sent him many emails but he never answered her. Especially after she realized she was pregnant. She hoped right up to the birth of her son that he would walk through the door, but he didn’t. Now, when her baby boy is three months old, Weston blows back into her life claiming her and acting like it was she that abandoned him!

kisses:

I loved this one. Weston is a tattooed tough guy but oh so soft on the inside. He knows what he wants and it is Aspen. Once he realizes he has a son, he will do whatever it takes to claim his family, and make sure that Aspen gets knocked up again fast so this time, he can be there every single day for her pregnancy and birth. But why didn’t any of the emails go through? There is a bit of added suspense with this one as the mystery unfolds. There is also a little bonus book at the end, Deception, Mafia Ties #1. I am enjoying this series so much and can’t wait to read the next book, Brief Me, Baby.

3.5 stars. This book was the only one I had yet to read in the Yeah, Baby series and I liked it. As for the previous books, this duo once again delivered a short but nevertheless delightful story featuring two likable characters. The smoldering chemistry between Weston and Aspen was palpable and their story was deliciously naughty and entertaining.

Like its predecessors in the series, this book is a great combo of sweet romance, straight-up-smut, insta-everything, an Alpha hero with a filthy mouth and with some little drama thrown in the mix. The epilogue was sweet and nicely done and I was grinning by the end of it.

3.5 HARD TIME BELIEVING IT STARS

I mostly enjoyed this book!

And that cover is sofa king hot! It is totally drool worthy!

However, I must say that the content left a lot to be desired.
As The hero just left her and she just took him back.

And all he had to say is : "Baby, but I did not know" and then "you know all that shit and pain you went thru giving birth to my baby without me, well let's do it again so I can see!?"
He had not even asked her about the birth or the whole pregnancy thing!

Come on, REALLY?
So he is a real mister sensitive, right?

So not cool and having had back to back (or belly to belly) pregnancies myself I can say it's hard on a woman's system and emotional well being.

However, this is a romance book and he is basically a nice guy so I can forgive that but I can't give it 5 stars because As a reader I did not understand how after a weekend together then a whole year of silence, that their relationship merited this level of trust.

Also, guess he can't use a phone or has any way to give her a message cause there is no possible way he could use a burner phone!?
Cause that would just be crazy.
Come on!
Did he not trust her enough not endanger him or his mission?
But what about this epic bond here they have here!?
What does that mean when he can't even trust her but she has to trust him?

WTF?
She just takes hims back and nothing is said of the pain of child birth no real recriminations on her part because she just keeps the faith!!!!
Ah, I thought he needed to more here to show his regret.
First kids are hard and it's not cool how he did not even get in touch with her at all.

Sorry, but I call that bullshit, and I can't even believe how she just say "it's all good, I understand. We had a bond and I am your lady in waiting!" Or words to this effect.
Oh give me a break here.
She is a modern independent woman right?

So where is her spine?
And the big grovel???
I needed some "I am a complete asshole for not getting in touch with you" moment here.
Sorry for me while it was good, I had to leave my woman card at the door to enjoy all that this book had to offer.
If he had tried at all to communicate with her I would have felt differently maybe. But still a whole year silence and it's true love? I don't care if you are the CIA they know how to do undercover messages to loved ones.
Just expected a little more here.
It was still a very good book but for me not a keeper.

Weston Davis is a tatted up CIA billionaire operative. His life and career choice don't make falling in love easy, and he hasn't had much use for it. That is until he locks eyes on Aspen Kennedy from across a crowded club. Aspen is out for a night on the town with her friend, when she locks eyes with one gorgeous piece of manmeat. One explosive weekend later, Weston is gone without a trace, and Aspen is left with one adorable reminder of the man that crushed her heart...

description
"I was awed at the sight of the perfect little person we’d created. But mostly, I realized I was even more in love with Aspen than the day we’d parted. It consumed me, made me want to wrap the two of them up and take them away. Somewhere safe, where it would be just the three of us."

Surprisingly (because I've been less than impressed with these insta-super short books lately) I really enjoyed the heck out of this one. Was it too short? Yes, I wish we would have gotten a look at how their weekend played out a bit more, but I found it pretty well written. No silly OTT drama (though I figured out the baddie from word go) No juvenile dialogue. An adorable baby. An OK epilogue (would have liked a look farther into the future) Overall, just a nice and quick and sexy read...

One year prior to the story, Aspen and Weston spent one torrid weekend together, and thought it was just the beginning of their journey. Instantly enamored for one another, they wouldn’t let the work absence of Weston on a mission stop them from believing. When that night resulted in an unexpected pregnancy, Aspen was desperate for a contact, a lifeline, but after incessant tries, and a lonely birth, she lost all hope in faith in their future as a couple.

It was finally time for me to accept the reality of my situation and give up the hopes and dreams I’d weaved around him. He was gone, and he wasn’t coming back. I needed to look ahead to my future. I had a precious baby to raise—a treasured gift from the man who’d stolen my heart and smashed it to pieces.

But she wasn’t the only heartbroken one. After waiting and waiting for some sort of contact from his dream girl, Aspen, and getting none, he was going to let that stop him. So, after one year of being undercover, he returns and goes in pursuit of his woman. What he didn’t expect was Aspen having a surprise of her own, in the form of a adorable baby boy.

Of course at this point he has to give explanations (which he doesn’t have himself), and try to find out who made them suffer like that and tried to tear and keep them apart. Who stole some of their most precious family moments. But first of all he has to gain the trust he lost from his love, Aspen. And after the heartbreak that reveals to be not an easy task.

“My beautiful girl held on to her faith for nine goddamn months, all alone during her pregnancy without me to care for her,” he whispered against my lips. “And spent three more raising my son while thinking I didn’t give a damn. It fucking guts me to know I let you down, Aspen.”

Weston certainly has some ingenious ways (wink, wink) to make her see how they belong together, and that there is no other option, because that’s how they’re fated to be.

I couldn’t think of a better solution than to show her how much I truly needed her. To fuse our bodies into one so she would know how deep in my soul the cravings for her went.

I absolutely loved this story! The surprise/unexpected pregnancy theme – when SAFE and both were faithful to their love and the other during separation – is one of my favorite tropes. And come on, who can resist a big and hot, tattooed guy with a baby in his arms?! No one, that’s who!!!

“Isn’t Auntie Jenna silly, Carter?” The sight of such a tatted up badass being sweet and silly with a little baby would have made me laugh if it wasn’t already busy making my ovaries go boom.

Oh, how we understand you, Aspen! She really had no chance against his Alpha charm, bossiness and possessiveness.

“You’re mine, and I’ll do whatever it takes to remind you of it every damn day.”

The scorchingly hot sex scenes and Weston’s very own brand of filthy talk only cemented even more my addiction to Fiona Davenport’s little stories. Her OTT alpha, obsessed, possessive and dirty mouthed Hs are really something else.

“I could live in your pussy, Aspen. So fucking tight. Damn, you’re going to be sore as fuck tomorrow and that makes me so damn hard.”

I’m Yours, Baby, is a insta-love, sweet, super sexy with a hint of drama to spice things up even more, short read, that is sure to get you hooked, so that like me you devour it in one sitting, barely taking your eyes of your e-reader. And now I’m already counting the days until Fiona shares with us her next delicious treat! <3

“You are everything to me, Aspen. Don’t ever doubt how much I love you. You and Carter both.” I grinned. “And all of our other babies.” My cock immediately hardened, as though it knew it had a job to do and there was no rest for the weary.

Though it was short, this packed a punch. I loved how Weston decided Aspen was his no matter what.
"I’d made a decision. Aspen was mine, and I wasn’t letting her go without a fight. No, fuck that. I wasn’t letting her go at all."

He wanted so bad to be a father to their baby and have a family.
"Excitement coursed through me at the thought of every milestone I would witness, at all the things I would teach him. But, I was also determined to get her pregnant again as soon as possible and this time, I wouldn’t miss any of it."

“Oh, beautiful,” he sighed, trailing kisses along my jaw until his lips were against my ear. “Now that I’ve got you back in my arms, there isn’t a chance in hell I’d let you change your mind about us. You’re mine, and I’ll do whatever it takes to remind you of it every damn day.”

And look at that cover...There's nothing hotter than a tattooed guy holding a baby...and a pierced cock doesn't hurt ;)

A nice short smut! I liked Weston and Aspen and their little baby boy! As I said it was a smut so obviously they couldn't keep their hands to each other. And that led to making more babies...

I liked this one better than the last one. Both characters were likable and it was love at first sight.

The story is about Weston and Aspen.

He's working for the CIA and he went undercover overseas for a year but before he left, he met her and they spent the weekend together.

For a year, she thought he pulled a disappearing act on her and abandoned her and their child. And he thought she didn't want to hear from him. But it was all a misunderstanding and someone's responsible for that. He just needs to find out who kept them from him.

It has a nice epilogue.

Faster that you can say Usain Bolt, this couple met,had instant attraction with the best sex ever, then the hero ups and leaves for a secret undercover missionthat lasted a year. And during this year apart, the heroine had his baby unbeknownst to him.Did I mention that our boy here is tatted with pierced junk !
This was the perfect just before you go to bed read though there is the danger of getting the sharpie out and tatting up your significant other ,though I dare not get out the needle to start the piercing!

'Quiero tu nombre en mi piel. Y casi mataría por tener el mío sobre el tuyo'.

I'm yours, Baby de Fiona Davenport serie
Yeah, Baby libro 5

Breakneck Speed

Aspen and Weston's whirlwind romance could've come to a bad end. Thanks to his persistence, things have a chance. There may be a year break between things, but Weston's definitely all about full-speed ahead! 😂😍🔥 Seriously. He moves at a breakneck pace when it comes to her.

Even though Weston is a possessive Neanderthal sometimes, he's also incredibly sweet, loving and protective. I love how he reacts to finding out about Carter, including his vow to knock Aspen up again so he can witness and be part of every moment. 🔥❤️🔥

I’d wanted to rip the blanket away so I could see my little man cuddled up to his mommy, Aspen’s gorgeous breasts giving our son nourishment. It spurred a primitive instinct inside me, pride that I’d bred my woman. A need to claim her and Carter, so everyone knew they were mine.
-- Weston Davis

You really need to read this! There's a lot of heat, a bit of drama, and some suspense that kept me intrigued.

I listened to this on the Read Me Romance podcast (and read along with my own copy). At the time of this review, these older episodes are still available (Episodes 44.1 & 44.2).

The narrators are Anastasia Watley and Jason Carpenter. I really liked both of them. I think they were good choices for these characters.

Ridiculous and tropey but fun nonetheless.

We have your every day tattooed, millionaire bad boy CIA operative who falls in insta-lust with a sweet and apparently parentless heroine. A one weekend stand and he has to leave for "work". Millionaire CIA hunky H gives her a secret email to contact him, but his handler, the pouty Kat, tells him he never received any messages over the past year. Gee, I wonder what could have happened to them?

Back with the heroine, she now has a three month little bad boy mini-me sans the tattoos. The baby sounds pretty darn cute.

Big hunky H storms into town to get his woman. He's not only thrilled to see her and his mini-me aka "the cock-blocker" as he names him, he wants more kids.

For those that demand celibacy of their heroes, never fear. He's so celibate, he...

As crazy as it sounded, it was probably the most romantic gesture I’d ever experienced. “You got your dick pierced just so you could avoid other women while you were gone?”

And they say romance is dead.

Lots of sex and a hint of Alexa Riley without her icky Me sperm. You egg. Make baby. as the H wants her to get pregnant again right away. Side note: OB's says women's bodies should heal at least a year before they get pregnant so this really bothered me.

Drama and danger ensues, but our hunky H knows how to protect his woman and cub.

Story was cute and fast-paced. I was slightly irritated by the Hero coz he never suspected his handler to be reason why he did not receive all the emails from the heroine. He’s supposed to be in the CIA 🙄

Totally perfect installment in this sexy series. Weston was over the top and amazing. I loved his devotion and his bossiness. Aspen couldn't fight what was right in front of her. This amazing man knocked her up..then he knocked down the walls that kept them apart. Every time I open a Fiona Davenport story I know I'm gonna get exactly what I want. Alpha Male perfection, some seriously sexy times and 100% Safe Romance. Throw in suspense and I'm just satisfied all the way.

Fiona Davenport does it again. I love all of the books by this duo so far. Aspen and Weston have a weekend together before he has to go overseas for work. He gives her an email to keep in touch with him because in his eyes Aspen is his. Aspen tries many times to contact him to let him know about a little surprise but gets dead air. For months. She finally gives up and decides to live her life thinking Weston is never coming back. There's a baddy in this book that you guess very quickly which was fine. I liked watching the romance between these two develop. I felt bad for them because they were both hurt by the baddy's actions. Can't wait for the next book by this amazing duo.

Yeah Baby. This series just totally hits the alpha spot every time. Its a great quick, hot insta love series that just always delivers what I want and this one was probably one of the best. But with that all said it is incredibly insta love with a very obvious story line so don't read it if that isn't your thing. Luckily for me it's mine and I fucking loved it.

3 1/2 stars. This was a fun, fast, sweet and hot book. I liked both the hero Weston and the heroine Aspen. Was this book a little predictable, yes but that wasn't in a bad way. This is just one of those fun reads. I will say I did find one error in the book but it wasn't huge. I really like this authors writing, it's very easy to get into and I have really enjoyed every book I have read from her. She writes very possessive heroes with one track mind and whats not to like about that.

This is the third (Yeah, Baby) I have read but it certainly wasn't near as good as the other two.

The word that describes this book best is insincere. It just seemed it was lacking in sincerity and I really didn't care much for it. It also didn't have the loving, sweet hero and seemed to be all about the sex for him and believe me they had plenty of it yet, it was missing the excitement.

It was very easy to figure out who the bad guy/gal was and that portion of the story did not hold my attention or interest.

I cannot recommend. I rated it two stars because there was no cheating. If not for that it would have been a one-star read.

There was OW drama but it was no one who he had ever dated or even had a fleeting relationship with. She was crazy...insane!

Sweet, sexy, steaming hot and an adorable little baby to boot. I can't ask for more than that. Fiona Davenport is hitting the nail on the head for me. I wish it was longer.....and of course I wish for a better epilogue (this one was sweet but it could have been further out IMO) but they are giving me devoted alphas, babies, insta love and HEA's!
