Workaholic Lanie Rogers lives a completely nomadic lifestyle. Her job keeps her on the move, and relationships are a complication she doesn't need. That is, until she meets Mr. Tall, Dark, and Hotness at a pre-wedding party. Complicated? Maybe. But lately, Lanie's life has been missing a little something---and sexy playboy Tyler Norris offers something she definitely can't refuse.
Tyler has always been a little too popular with women for his own good. Ever since he and his buddies vowed to remain bachelors, Tyler figured he was safe from temptation. Lanie and her gorgeous brown eyes are about to prove him so, so wrong. With one kiss, the heat is intense. After one night, it's pure combustion. It was supposed to be a no-strings fling---until these two commitment-phobes each discover the one undeniable exception to their rule.
I absolutely adored the first book in this series so when I saw this one up on NetGalley, I knew that I had to have it. I remember just being completely enamored with every single sentence in that first one. But that is not how things ended up this time.
Everything was off to a great start ... in the beginning there was this one sentence about Lanie being cute when she is mad. My husband tells me the same thing and it always makes me want to simultaneously kick him in the kiwis and give him a big kiss. So I thought that this book and I were going to get along just fine.
I think that it was a culmination of different things that just didn't work for me with this one. I didn't really like the main character, Lanie. That's not a good thing. I didn't feel connected to her at all. And even though I initially kinda started to like her, that quickly changed the more pages that I read. I felt like I wasn't able to get to know her the way that I had with Holly in the previous book. I understood what she was all about but I didn't feel like I actually knew anything about her.
And then Tyler, Lanie's love interest ... I liked him just a tad bit more but it wasn't enough to redeem the book for me. I really enjoyed his conflicting emotions and all of the stuff with his family but again ... not enough. I didn't smile every time his name was on the page and he didn't make me all swoony. Usually I like the dudes that can't make up their minds and then getting to experience reality smacking them in the face.
Then the book itself moved along slowly. If you have kids, you know what it's like to have to drag a tired and ornery little kid out of the store because you didn't time a shopping experience correctly and your little turd missed their nap time. That's what reading this book felt like. I felt like the mom struggling with her suddenly jello-esque child, trying to get them out of the store and into the car so that everyone can go home and nap. I'm not entirely sure what in the world was going on with my reading experience this time. I just loved the first book so much!! Whatever it was, I couldn't fix it. Maybe the next one will be a better fit.

3.5 Stars. This was pretty cute and I enjoyed it. I liked both Tyler and Laine, but never really fell in love with them. I thought the whole non-disclosure stuff with Laine's job was kind of odd and that whole storyline just didn't make a lot of sense to me. My favorite part was probably Tyler hanging out with his younger brother again. This was probably my least favorite book in this series, but it was still worth the read.
This is the second book in the Bachelor Brotherhood series and it comes from a spin off of the Wedding Pact series, which I loved.
This book we have Tyler, who is best friends with Kevin (Book 1) and Matt (Book 3). He is a groomsman in a wedding for one of his work colleagues and good friend, Randy. At a get to know the wedding party event, Tyler meets the lovely Lanie, cousin to the Bride - Brittany. Tyler is a lawyer, who is looking to make partner this year, and has been known to be a player. Lanie is also a workaholic, and has dedicated the last ten years to her job, opening designer boutiques for a large corporation. When these two meet, and spend some time together, they get to do a lot of "firsts" as it is the only relationship they have each had. But when their jobs become more demanding and could take Lanie away from Kansas City, things look doubtful for a HEA. Tyler will need to pull out the big grand gesture and a little fan fare to show Lanie how determined he is.
I am always happy to read a Denise Grover Swank book, and especially her contemporary romance / RomCom's. They have a light and breezy feel to them, and take me to a place of pure indulgence. This wasn't as funny as the others, but it still had the elements I need to escape into a book. I would loved to have read more about the yoga, and if the girls actually attended a lesson, and a little more on Kevin and Holly. I have missed the other characters, and want to know they are all doing great. I am anxiously awaiting Matt's story. I would recommend this book.

I really enjoyed the previous book in this series and was looking forward to reading this one. Based on the synopsis of this book, you would expect it to be a cute, fun and flirty story and you'd be correct to an extent. Tyler, the guy determined to avoid relationships and forever; Lanie, the workaholic with a nomadic lifestyle who has no time in her life for relationships and permanence; throw in some wedding activities, some klutzy moments from both main characters and you have the perfect recipe for a very entertaining and enjoyable romance fit for summer reading.
Lanie's job for the last ten years has kept her on the road and unable to plant roots, but between her new boss who's determined to make her job even more difficult and her cousin getting married, she's rethinking her on-the-go lifestyle. For Tyler, his parents' marriage is all the example he needs to know that marriage is not for him, but with his friends getting paired off and his instant attraction to Lanie, he's got food for thought. Plus, with his younger brother following the path he did as a teen into trouble, he realizes that building a relationship with him may be a better idea than staying away.
The first half of the book lived up to my expectations and had some really great moments that left me laughing really hard, but the story slowed down by the halfway mark and it became a struggle to get through. For someone who was looking to connect with others, some of Lanie's choices did not make any sense and for the most part, her responses to conflicts and issues were odd. The half-truths, insistence on keeping her relationship with Tyler secret and the unnecessary conflict that it spawned were really not my thing.
The biggest issue for me was that the characters from the original series this one was spun off from (which I haven't read) were such an integral part of this story that it made it hard for me to enjoy this story while trying to figure out the secondary characters and keep them straight - too much brain work, if you ask me. Also, the unending wedding activities and a bride verging on bridezilla drove me to the brink, too. All of this just made it hard to connect with the characters and really enjoy the book.
On the plus side, there were some very entertaining moments which made the story okay. To be honest, I'm really not sure what to expect from the next book and if I want to read it.
Disclaimer: I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely mine.
There was nothing wrong with this book, the characters were by-and-large engaging and the plot moved along well but it didn't really grab my attention. I think part of my frustration was that I knew that the characters were somehow connected to one of Denise Grover Swank's other series' but I didn't recall how (it kept niggling at me).
Tyler Norris is a hot-shot lawyer and a groomsman at his best friend's imminent wedding. It's one of those weddings that goes on and on and on and, in this case, involves several pre-wedding photo shoots with Holly and Kevin Vandemeer (who are definitely from another book but I can't find out which one! EDIT: Only You).
Lanie Rogers is a workaholic. She works for a chain of fabulous women's clothing shops and is in charge of opening new stores. Each store is kept a well-guarded secret until the day it opens, generating lots of publicity. As a consequence she has spent the last few years living in rented accommodation and travelling around the continental USA. The secrecy surrounding her job means that Lanie can't talk about what she does or why she is in town. Her best friend Brittany is getting married and Lanie is one of the bridesmaids.
Tyler and Lanie meet at a couple's wedding shower for Brittany and Randy when Tyler goes into Randy's garage to get one of his imported beers from the garage fridge and finds Lanie hiding from Brittany and her match-making.
Thrown together time and again because of the extended wedding shenanigans Lanie and Tyler are attracted to each other, but he is a commitment-phobe and she is leaving once her new store opens. Lanie's career is at jeopardy if the store doesn't open on time because she has a new boss who seems determined to make her fail, then one of the other shops in the mall files an injunction to stop them opening. Of course, Tyler's firm is filing the injunction but neither of them knows about the other.
As I say, this was OK but after I had finished the book it just slipped my memory. I have now read the last paragraphs about four times in an attempt to remind me what the book was all about!
I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.
I've never read anything by this author and I was pleasantly surprised with this book. It was a cute, funny and a light hearted read. As much as I enjoyed the story I did have a few minor issues. The relationship between Lanie and Tyler was supposed to be fun and no commitment which I was ok with but then they developed feelings and everything happens 1,2,3 and it was kind of unbelievable. They did have chemistry and the sex was hot but I would have liked to have more time with the couple especially after the drama they went through but the ending was just so abrupt. Their friends were so busy meddling and being nosey, it became a turn off at one point. There's a difference with being concerned and they were just nosey. They are grown adults let them work it out themselves. Despite those minor issues I still enjoyed the story. The writing was good, the plot held my attention and I did enjoy the secondary characters. Without reading the first book I still felt like I was apart of the gang. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series and I picked up the first book!
A quick and sweet addition to the Bachelor Brotherhood series, Until You fits right into the cute rom-com genre. After a crazy ex-girlfriend puts playboy Tyler off from the dating scene he meets workaholic Lanie who just wants a no-strings fling while she's in town. The perfect scenario for the both of them until love decides to complicate things! (/read in a movie announcer voice).
This was a classic cute comfort read, nothing too utterly surprising or out there, just easy, fluffy, fun. I enjoyed the chemistry between Lanie and Tyler. It was a bit insta-lust at first (all about scratching the itch) but when they finally were more open in their attraction to each other, it was extra sweet. There's of course a few shenanigan-y moments (it's what happens when you try to keep flings/relationships a secret from your best friends/cousin), some drama (that could have been resolved by communication), and maybe a bit surprising, an actual obstacle to their happily ever after that was legit (aka. not just people idiots!),and to top it off a grand gesture, woo!
Tyler definitely won me over. He showed that he was more than a playboy lawyer who wanted a fling. I loved his growth with his family (especially with his teenage brother) and his willingness to work for the relationship. I enjoyed Lanie's sassiness and her ability to keep Tyler on his toes. But she also frustrated me with her lack of faith in Tyler and their relationship at times (thankfully she does set up eventually). The secondary characters were a collection of friends/family from book one (Only You) and new characters, most of which I quite enjoyed. I'm definitely looking forward to Kevin and Tyler's friend Matt's HEA in the next book!
While Until You was fairly predictable, overall it was still fun and flirty, perfect for when you're in the mood for a summery rom-com kinda read.

Another great story from Denise Grover Swank! I love that the characters are interesting, intelligent and though there are communication problems, their issues are not childish, whiny high school-ish situations. There are plenty of laughs when you throw in some silly wedding fun and crazy accidents, too. And who wouldn't love a grand gesture?! 💜💜
** ARC PROVIDED BY THE AUTHOR FOR AN HONEST REVIEW **
Until You by Denise Grover Swank is a funny, happily ever after romance set in Kansas City, MO.
Tyler Norris is a hot attorney, who has sworn himself to bachelorhood after an experience with a psycho girlfriend. Tyler has been roped into being in his best friends wedding, where he runs into a hot woman at the wedding shower.
Lanie Rogers is the hot, some times sassy woman Tyler met at the wedding shower; she is also in the wedding as she is the brides cousin. She sets up new store openings for a company, who is opening a store in the area. She is somewhat of a gypsy, moving from city to city setting up stores. She can't tell people what store she is opening do to a non-disclosure agreement in her contract.
These two have some hilarious laugh out loud moments together. The best is when Lanie hits Tyler in the head with her shoe at a photo shoot for the wedding. Tyler ends up taking Lanie home and they have a secret relationship, mainly because Britt (Lanie's cousin and the bride) likes to play matchmaker. But they end up falling for each other. Until disaster hits: Tyler's law firm is trying to get Lanie's store shut down. Lanie panics and tries to push Tyler away. Afraid that they won't be able to make a long distance relationship last. That is until Tyler and his younger brother pull of a dramatic show of affection at the store opening.
What can go wrong when two confirmed single people for life stumble upon one another? Well we get a sexy entertaining story.
Tyler is the bachelor that was once a womanizer. He now has sworn off women and his friend’s fiance wants to fix him up. But when he goes to hide from the woman he meets one that fascinates him. Lanie.
Lanie is the workaholic who doesn’t let men get in her way. She lives breathes and sleeps her job. She lets everything else go for her job. But her job right now is not giving her fairness. She isn’t being treated well and her boss is a idiot. As Lanie gets more into the wedding stuff for her cousin she sees what she is missing. Friendship, family and love.
Her and Tyler have insane chemistry. At first they just jab at one another but one shoe heel later and we get a secret affair. One that is sexy, sweet and fun. We see Tyler be overtaken with feelings and start to change. He begins to question his life. He starts to spend time with his brother and deal with his past. He also admits to his feelings. He gets frustrated at times with Lanie’s desire to keep him in the closet. And her secrets make him feel he isn’t trusted. But he does let that go due to his trust and faith in her. His love for her.
I hated to see Lanie always pushing Tyler away when it was obvious she had feelings for him. she didn’t want complications and messiness. But her feelings were strong and confusing her. It was hard to see them come to a crossroads and work come between them at one point. But Tyler is a standup guy. He gave up for her and love.
Each character except Celesta who just irritates was adorable. Tyler’s younger brother was so cute with his attitude and wariness.Tyler was sweet, fun and honest. he was kind and caring and he looked inside himself and admitted things that were hard. But he didn’t stop there he went about changing them and accepting that change was needed. Lanie was smart and funny. It was hard watching her struggle with things and trying to decide what was what but it was really hard seeing her constantly try to prove Tyler was just temporary.
A wonderfully sexy and fun story on love and finding your way.
FTC DISCLAIMER: I RECEIVED AN E-ARC FROM THE PUBLISHER THROUGH NET GALLEY. I VOLUNTARILY OFFER MY HONEST REVIEW OF THE BOOK, THOUGH IT IS NOT EXPECTED OF ME! RECEIPT OF THIS BOOK IN THIS MANNER DOES NOT AFFECT MY OPINION OF THE BOOK OR THE CONTENT OF MY REVIEW!
After having been greatly annoyed in the first book because of the fact that this series is an undisclosed spin off of the author's Wedding Pact series, I went into this hoping that this book would move past that and into something completely unrelated, but I felt like I was walking into the middle of things in this book too!
Tyler and Lanie meet at one of the many functions that Brittany has before her wedding. Problem was, I didn't understand who Brittany and her groom were to Tyler and Lanie and why they didn't just blow her off when they finally started getting together because of their attraction to one another, especially since it wasn't a secret that one of the other bridesmaids wanted Tyler back. Yup, I said back, and it should have clued me in that this would be a major angst and drama fest. I began to hate the wedding backdrop, especially with all the deception that Tyler and Lanie felt were necessary to "preserve" their standing in the wedding. I'm honestly not certain that I know why they felt that they had to be so deceitful!
I had a hard time connecting to Tyler and Lanie, and the story really dragged for me because of all the drama and lack of connection to the characters. The ending was again a bit abrupt for me and I was left feeling rather "meh" about the whole book. I don't think I would consider reading another book by the author, unless I got it from the library or something similar.
This is the second book in Grover-Swanks Bachelor Brotherhood series and can absolutely be read as a standalone. It's the story of Tyler and Lauren: a lawyer and a super-secretive workaholic. Tyler and Lauren meet when they're thrown together for their best friend and cousins (respectively) wedding and the sparks between them are alight from the word go. While they try hold off on acting on their mutual attraction, they decide that since neither is attached or looking for anything permanent, why not spend the next month or so enjoying each other until Lauren moves to her next work obligation.
Where I enjoyed the previous book in The Bachelor Brotherhood, Until You was just an ok read for me. There were a few moments that induced laughter, but for the most part, I found it difficult to connect with the characters, and couldn't really believe the romantic connection between them. I'm finding it difficult to rate this book because while I think the actual plot was great, there was something lacking and the characters and their relationship just needed a lot more work. I understand that there was a sexual connection but it was the romance and love aspect I couldn't completely believe. Im looking forward to the next book in this series and hope it'll be a great one.

My Review: I really enjoyed the setup of this book. Lanie and Tyler are both part of a wedding party and have instant chemistry. She's only living in town temporarily (a month). They fight it at first because neither one wants to complicate their lives and they aren't looking for a relationship (either one of them), but the draw becomes too tempting, so they decide to ride the sexual tension until they get tired of the super hot sex. You can see exactly where this book is going...
Seriously, while the twists and turns with the plot in this one were crazy (see, what happens when you keep secrets...darn NDA's), I really enjoyed reading this book. Denise Grover Swank has an easy to read style that most definitely keeps the reader engaged. I enjoyed both characters and LOVED the side-plot with Tyler's little brother, Eric.
The story was good, the twists were fun, the whole premise was slightly unbelievable, but I'm good with putting a little bit of reality to the side to be able to wholly immerse myself into a book that I found thoroughly entertaining. I liked it.

Lanie lives to work and works to live. This has caused many of the relationships and friendships in her life to crumble. While in Kansas City for a store opening, she is in place to be a member of her cousin, Britt's wedding party.
Also a member to the wedding party is Tyler, the groom's friend and co-worker. Tyler is successful and handsome, so Britt is determined to set him one with one of the wedding party. A run in with Lanie in the garage at a pre-wedding party leaves Tyler wondering who she is. Clearly they are both attracted to one another, but that is a temptation they don't want to give in to.
Both Lanie and Tyler struggle with their attraction and fear of commitment, while developing feelings for one another. This was a cute story!
4 out of 5 stars.

You know you're asking for trouble when you make a pact with your best friends to avoid women. Seriously, how long did you think that would last? When friend #1 went down after one day...it was inevitable that another would fall soon after.
Here we are five months later and the eternal bachelor is chasing the eternal bachelorette. One wedding, tons of photos, and wild chemistry make it impossible to stay in the one night only zone.
But when work, commitments, and reality crash down on this intimate party of two...it becomes something else.

He's a reforming heartbreaker. She's a workaholic nomad. Neither have a romantic bone in their bodies. Until a wedding, a pact and a kiss lead to an attraction that is not to be missed. I've been head over heels for this band of brothers since Only You, made an appearance on my book shelf. Not only does Ms. Swank dish out some romance, she delivers on the bromance as well. Until You continues that instant connection of love, life and friendship that drives author Denise Grover Swank's novels. Both author and characters make it easy to fall in love with love.
I thought the characters were great and I loved the story. Tyler and Lanie are hilarious together. Their animosity toward each other hid a fiery passion that neither one could deny for long. They had great chemistry and even greater camaraderie.
UNTIL YOU is a fast read full of laughs and love and I'd recommend it to any reader.

The workaholic and the sexy playboy - who wouldn't love this story? It is every workaholic girl's fantasy.... possibly? I love the continuation of these characters and the development the author gives each one with this new book in the series. It is that time of life when people feel they need to settle down - even those who may be resistant can't resist the pull. A little fun, some laughter and romance make this a great read with your favorite cup of hot tea or wine (depending on mood and season!)
I listened to the audiobook version of this book, and I had a hard time staying interested. Lanie Rogers opens stores for an exclusive designer, and it's always top secret as she gets them open. She meets attorney Tyler Norris (one of the guys in the Bachelor Brotherhood) when they are both involved in a wedding. Tyler is determined to stay single, and Lanie's job moves her around the country on a regular basis, so they both are fine with a short term fling. Until they aren't. I didn't really like either of the MC's, although there were some funny moments.

Review
Until You is the second book in the Bachelor Brotherhood series by Denise Grover Swank as well as the second book I have read by her. I have continued on with her Bachelor Brotherhood series and she has not disappointed. I found myself thoroughly absorbed throughout! The characters were engaging, entertaining, sexy, funny, serious…all around a good read.
The story begins with a wedding shower (Brittany and Randy’s to be exact). Tyler is getting hit on by numerous women (four so far) …at a wedding shower no less…when luckily, his buddy Kevin, rescues him. Tyler quickly leaves and ducks in to the garage to get more ice. Who does Tyler run in to but Lanie, who is hiding out in the garage. He quickly thinks …. this wedding might not be so bad after all. As they continue to talk:
“Her breath fanned his face, and it took everything within him to keep his hands to himself, because, instinct told him that if he made a move, she’d give him a brush-off so epic, an 8.0 earthquake would pale in comparison. And he definitely did not want her to give him a brush-off.”
“As he took the last drag of his beer and tossed the bottle into the recycling bin, he realized that never in his thirty-three years had be been so turned on by a woman. And he didn’t even know her name.”
“Lanie Rogers left Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome in the garage and headed to the backyard in search of her cousin.”
So of course, you can see why I was totally engaged with the story and this is all within the first chapter. And from there it only gets better.
Tyler is a part of the remaining two official “bachelors” in the brotherhood (though not for long as Tyler will be the lone member) in addition to being a lawyer and groomsman for his buddy Randy. As a confirmed bachelor, when he and Lanie hit it off, they keep their relationship (such as it is) a secret from everyone. There is only one month until the wedding …. they can do this…right? Well, many humorous moments transpire while trying to keep things secret. Problem is…his professional life may definitely play havoc with his personal life. Especially since both Tyler and Lanie are unaware of the professional connection they have.
Lanie is a self assured woman whose career involves opening stores in various locations across the country. These openings must remain a secret until opening day. As luck would have it (though maybe not…as you see as the story progresses) the next grand opening is in her home town, the town where Brittany (her cousin) is getting married. Keeping this a secret is difficult and plays havoc with relationships that develop (with Tyler of course). When trouble ensues with respect to said opening …. Lanie must re-evaluate her priorities. Can this working woman have it all?
The sexy bits … sometimes naughty, but in a good way. I found that indeed the author left some things to the imagination of her readers. In one early on encounter while at Lanie’s place when she offers Tyler a glass of wine:
“She opened the refrigerator and looked inside, then quickly closed the door. ‘I’m out of wine. I have some vodka, but nothing to mix with it.’
He took several slow steps toward her. ‘I’m not feeling very thirsty.’
‘Oh?’ she asked with a grin. ‘Are you hungry?’
‘Very.’
‘I don’t have any food.’
‘It’s not food I’m hungry for.’
.
.
.
“Is your plan to drive me crazy before you even get my clothes off? She asked breathlessly. Because it is working.
The story line with Tyler’s younger brother was very heartwarming. Absolutely showed how connected Tyler wanted to be with his family and what they meant to him.
I must say, I had a smile on my face the entire time I was reading. A thoroughly enjoyable read, hitting all the right spots! I cannot wait for the third book in the series “Always You (Bachelor Brotherhood #3)”.

MY RATING: 3/5 STARS An advanced reader copy has been provided me in exchange for an honest review.
Until You is the second book in Denise Grover Swank's Bachelor Brotherhood series telling the tale of workaholic Lanie Rogers and womanizer Tyler Norris. Both have histories of not settling down in a relationship due to their natures and their jobs so when they both meet, the sparks fly, throwing them into the world of the unknown. Also known as the world of a steady relationship.
Let's analyze Lanie first. I really enjoyed Lanie as a character because she was a sexy vixen that seemed very in tune with her sexuality. She was confident in herself, confident in her life, and knew what she wanted without seeming overbearing like many characters other authors' write. Because of her job, Lanie hardly stays in one place so she doesn't settle. Ever. She never had a steady relationship simply because she didn't know where her job would take her in the next couple of months so she has no intention ever to start something serious with the seriously attractive Tyler Norris. And she will most definitely not fall in love with his charming self.
What can I tell except Duh. Of course they fall in love.
And Lanie is really scared because she has to choose between her job and Tyler. She has to decide whether she should start something serious that she knows it's going to end because of her job or she has to decide to just focus on her work and not dive into a relationship. Because of this, Lanie is written to be very closed off. It gets frustrating at times because she doesn't tell Tyler anything--including what she actually does for a living. And emotions? Of course, they're out the window. She just wants to be the cool girl that hooks up with Tyler, keeping the relationship between them light and breezy but it doesn't work out to be that way.
Moving onto our hero, Tyler. I have a special place in my heart for soft older brothers like Tyler. Tyler is the older brother of Alex and teenager, Eric. Due to their less than fantastic father, Eric is seriously being neglected so Tyler puts on his big brother shoes and become the serious mentor Eric needs. I really liked this relationship between the brothers because Tyler had to regain Eric's trust in him after neglecting Eric for the majority of his teenage years. It was enjoyable to watch them strengthen their bond.
Tyler is also a wonderful character because he's caring and he's open about her feelings. He's the one that falls for Lanie first so you bet your pretty head that he reveals to Lanie without any bullshit. He also shows his vulnerability since he hasn't been with someone for so long that he's scared he's bad at sex. LOL Like a male character could ever be bad at sex, right?
Anyways, the reason why this book wasn't a 5/5 stars or a 4/5 stars was because towards the end the plot turned for the worse. See, Lanie and Tyler are supposed to be at both ends, fighting for different causes. Tyler is threatening to shut Lanie's work down and Lanie is threatened to lose her job because of Tyler. Except they don't know this until the very end. This was all revealed around the first chapter mark which made me to believe that oh, they're enemies turned lovers but nope.
Denise Grover Swank ignores this concept she created from the beginning throughout the entire novel until the very end. It's like she forgot that she had written this twist until the very end. And then towards the end, it's rushed. Everything felt like it was slapped together haphazardly. Lanie and Tyler over came their conflict, declared love, and the grand wedding ceremony was thrown.
MY RECOMMENDATION I still enjoyed this book. It was quick to read and easy to digest. Watching Lanie and Tyler fall in love with each other was sweet. They were cute and there was no messy drama aside from Tyler's crazy ass ex-girlfriends that I seriously wanted to punch in the face.
I recommend this book! Anyone read the first one? Maybe that might be good as well.

Tyler and Lanie have been paired together in their mutual friends’ wedding-Brittany and Randy-but Brittany has a bad habit of interfering where she doesn’t belong. Brittany is a woman determined to match-make all of her friends, and Lanie refuses to have Brittany interfere in her private life. Enter attorney Tyler Norris, who offers himself up as a ‘secret friends with benefits’ when Lanie begins to panic about Brittany meddling ways. What ensues is the building romance and love between Lanie and Tyler, and the potential fall –out when Tyler’s latest client is in direct competition with the woman with whom he is falling in love.
Lanie Rogers is determined to keep her relationship with Tyler a secret. Brittany’s continuous need to set up all of her friends pushes Lanie out of her comfort zone, and our heroine does not want Brittany to find out about her affair with Tyler Norris. Tyler is a man who is falling for our story line heroine but Lanie refuses to acknowledge the relationship in public. The ongoing lies and secrets begin to build throwing Lanie Rogers into a spiral from whence she may never recover. Lanie’s need to keep their relationship a secret makes for many uncomfortable situations. Her actions are questionable; her continuing reluctance to reveal the truth exacerbates the already slow building story line.
The relationship between Lanie and Tyler is one of immediate attraction but Lanie does not want Brittany interfering in her life, and continues to push Tyler into a temporary arrangement. The back and forth, secrets and lies continues throughout most of the story all to keep Brittany from interfering in her friend’s relationship. The $ex scenes are intimate, intense and seductive without the use of sexually graphic language and text.
We are introduced to the bride and groom-Brittany and Randy- as well as Tyler’s younger brother Eric, and one of Tyler’s former girlfriends –Celesta-who is determined to make Tyler her own; Lanie’s co-worker and friend Stephanie, as well as her best friend Aiden. There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including the return of Matt and Kevin, and Kevin’s wife Holly Vandemeer.
The world building focuses on the upcoming wedding of Brittany and Randy; Tyler and Lanie’s attempts to keep secret their relationship, as well as Lanie and Tyler’s potential fall out when Tyler’s latest client interferes in Lanie’s plans.
UNTIL YOU is a slow building story line where I struggled with the heroine’s need to keep quiet her relationship with the leading hero-sometimes too much is too much especially when the lies begin to compound adding more conflict then necessary. The premise is sexy; the romance is provocative; the characters are colorful and energetic.

Everything in Lanie Rogers life revolves around her work, she is constantly on the phone handling one job related task or another, or spending late hours at the job site, which means her personal life is almost non-existent. Not that she has time in her busy schedule for love anyway, but that doesn't stop her cousin Brittany from constantly trying to set her up or get her to ditch work to have a little fun. With her cousins wedding approaching she knows she needs to ease up on her work schedule and make an attempt to spend time with her family, but she is about to close a big deal, and her boss isn't letting up. So, she does what she always does and makes things work, but then she bumps into one of the sexiest men she has ever laid eyes on at her cousins party, and she begins to see the perks of having a little fun... and finally attempts to put work on the back burner for once. A little no strings attached between the sheets fun might just be the stress relief she needs... problem is once she has had a taste she can't seem to let go!
The moment Tyler Norris's eyes land on the beauty hiding out in his friends garage he knows he needs to meet her, there is something about her that draws him in. The conversation between them is easy, she understands his work life, and also struggles to make time to date, and all the hassles that go along with it. It's as if they were perfect for one another, neither has time for a relationship, nor likes the idea of commitment, so they agree to have a little no strings fun... what can it hurt? But once things get started for these two they begin to realize there maybe more lingering between them than a night or two of fun...and neither knows what to do about it!
This was my first read from this author, and after finishing it, I can honestly say it won't be my last! I absolutely loved this book and these well crafted characters, they charmed their way into my heart in a matter of minutes!! The story line captured my attention right away, and held on intently the whole way through. Tyler stole my heart the moment he waltzed onto the page, I am a sucker for alpha male characters who are protective and willing to do what it takes to win the girl... and I have to admit he totally won the heart of this girl! I highly recommend you pick this one up, it's sure to put a smile on your face, and leave you with a happy heart!!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.
Until You is a lovely story about finding true love at the most unexpected time and place. The pre-wedding setting was charming, and I loved the characters, even if I just wanted to knock some sense into them at times! The heroes, Tyler Norris and Lanie Rogers, are perfect strangers and temporary partners: Tyler is a groomsman and Lanie is a bridesmaid in the same wedding.
Tyler is a self-proclaimed life-long bachelor and hates weddings. And yet he couldn’t refuse to attend the multiple rehearsals and photo shoots in preparation for his friend Randy’s marriage with Lanie’s cousin Britt. Despite his professional success and his image as a tenacious attorney, Tyler is insecure and vulnerable. He feels incapable of loving, but has decided to take a break from his womanizing ways.
Lanie is conflicted, confused and finds herself standing at a major crossroad in her life. She has lived a nomadic life, because of her job, and was too busy to get involved with someone. She is a workaholic, but feels stuck in a job with no progression or fullfilment. She wants to reconsider her priorities and is ready for a change in her career and her way of life.
Tyler and Lanie’s attraction is instant, their relationship is a whirlwind. They are both non-committal and neither one of them has any expectations in what should be a short-term arrangement, a fling that they want to keep secret. But their life is turned upside-down, they can’t stay away from each other. Their intense chemistry was palpable.
The characters were well-portrayed and relatable, but I would have enjoyed more plot development. The pre-wedding setting was nice, and yet a bit too repetitive in my opinion. I felt that Lanie and Tyler’s romantic relationship could be more developed, it seemed that Lanie’s career problems took center stage at times. Tyler definitely grew on me, I loved the way he was able to rekindle his relationship with his younger brothers and mend broken family ties. Not to mention that his final grand romantic gesture definitely won me over! I enjoyed the author’s strong and fluid writing style, it was my first read by her. I’ll definitely check out her previous books. Overall, Until You is a light, sweet and sexy contemporary romance and a great summer read.

Denise Grover Swank is one of my favorite authors and I did enjoy book one in this series (Only You), but with Until You there were so many details that didn't add up that I just lost interest in the plot. First, that Tyler would offer to pick a lock just because he's in a hurry to have sex was probably an attempt at humor but it fell flat. That as a lawyer he would offer was just weird; that Lanie would accept was even worse. And since she was renting, shouldn't there be someone she could ask for a spare key? Oh, wait, they were in a hurry to have sex, so not time for that, right? Not that I would want to live in an apartment whose lock can be picked with two heir clips, but anyway... Then there's Tyler saying that Lanie is different from all the other women he dated before because she's smart, and witty and driven, and confident" (and yes, that's a quote). As at that point he's met Lanie a total of three times and in two of those she was either drunk or on her way there, I can't even guess how he got to that conclusion. I also didn't like the way excessive drinking is dealt with in the book either, as if it's normal to drink more than half of a bottle of wine while looking for a pair of shoes and not even noticing. Or expecting that a teenager will have lots of other drink binging parties - he probably will, but I don't consider it normal and I don't expect parents - or older brothers, in this case - to consider it either. Towards the end the plot improved a bit, there was some suspense in relation to Lanie's store opening, her job and her relationship with Tyler. And the marriage proposal was kind of cute. But at that point I was just going through the motion of reading until the happily ever after and be done with it. Until You has some great reviews on Amazon, so the problem may be all mine but some books work for some readers, and others don't. Sadly, this one didn't really work for me.
Until You: Bachelor Brotherhood, Book 2 is by Denise Grover Swank. Denise has taken three of the minor characters from her Wedding Pact series and written their stories. This has turned out to be a great series. The series is well written and the characters are definitely realistic. Three of the men had created a group called Bachelor Brotherhood when they had all decided to give up women. It didn’t last long at all as Kevin succumbed almost immediately to Holly. Now Tyler Norris was roped into helping at a wedding shower for his friend Brittany. How had this come about? Tyler liked women but had steered clear of them for five months. Now Brittany thought since she was so happy getting married that everyone else should be too. She had constantly been sending women over to talk to him all afternoon. As a lawyer, he was a great catch. He was very glad when Kevin told him that Kevin’s wife Holly needed his help. She needed ice for the beverages. He headed to the garage to get it and took the opportunity to get a beer while there, besides the garage was much cooler than outside. He wasn’t the only one who thought that. Brittany’s best friend Lanie had the same idea. As they talked, Tyler became attracted to her; but left before giving him her name. He wondered all afternoon who she was but refused to ask Brittany. However, she stayed in his mind. Lanie Rogers had come to town to open a new store. Margo Benson Boutiques were unique. There were only fifteen of them and everyone had a secret opening. Everyone connected to it had a NDA they had signed. Now someone had filed suit against the store’s opening. They did not want it opened. Lanie knew if it didn’t open on time, she lost her bonus as well as her stature in the business world. As she begins a flirtation with Tyler, she doesn’t realize that he works for the firm that is trying to keep her closed. He doesn’t know she is opening Margo Benson. What will happen when the truth comes out? Stay tuned for the explosion.
I am completely enjoying Denise Grover Swank’s BACHELOR BROTHERHOOD series. UNTIL YOU is book number two, and it can be read as a standalone. I liked how some of the characters from the first book showed up in this story. This is the second novel that I have read by Ms. Swank, and I can’t wait to read more of her work.
Lanie Rogers is an extremely interesting character. She has worked for the same retail company for the past ten years, and as a result, has become very successful on a professional level. Due to her intense travel schedule, she doesn’t own or rent a home, have a serious boyfriend, or own a car. She and her assistant travel around the country opening women’s boutiques, while enjoying the cities they temporarily call home. Women flock to this unique boutique chain, and the secrecy and frenzy surrounding each opening is quite remarkable.
Lanie is in Kansas City to open a new store and be a part of her cousin’s wedding. As a bridesmaid, she is required to attend almost all of the pre-wedding festivities and photo sessions. Being paired with groomsman and attorney Tyler Norris is not a hardship, as they both find each other attractive and smart. Tyler is a known womanizer and he has no desire to settle down, that is until Lanie pops into his life. They are both into a short-term fling, which after a only a few weeks evolves into true love.
This is an engaging and nicely written novel. Lanie and Tyler have an amazing connection and Ms. Swank does an excellent job of creating sexual tension, longing, and desire. I liked how Ms. Swank developed Tyler’s relationship with his youngest brother, which contributed to Tyler’s newly discovered need to have serious and supportive relationships. Overall, this is an entertaining read that will keep you engaged from start to finish.
LJT, Romance Junkies, 4 Hearts. I was given a copy of the book for an honest review.
The second book in the series, has Lanie Rodgers in town for her cousins wedding plans and the opening of a new store for a company she works for. She is not looking forward to all of the festivities that go on with a wedding and though she wants to be with her cousin her cousin is always trying to fix her up with someone. Because of her always moving she does not feel like she has time for a relationship or a life other than her current job that she is trying to save. Now meeting the wedding party of course there has to be one gorgeous guy, and that is Tyler Norris who is also not with his own problems. One his younger brother who is in high school has gone from straight A’S to doing nothing and the principle calls him because their father has basically checked out. Second his last women he was with six months ago he has a restraining order against and he has not gone out with anyone for 6 months, and for him that is the longest time. When he sees Lanie he is attracted to her even after she takes him out with her shoe, and then hits him with her head. Even when she agrees to go out with him they are interrupted by his younger brother who proceeds to ruin his pair of shoes. The good part is that he opens up to Lanie and they actually start hanging out together more and he realizes that he needs to spend more time with his brother. He is also becoming more attracted to Lanie who is scared of the feelings that she is having, and now her job is also looking at being over altogether so she must start looking for another one. The same time Tyler tries to come up with a plan to show her that he is all in with her. The end of this book is good as is the entire story. This is a very good book. I liked the characters very much. I got this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 5 stars. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com
