"Loving Courageously is one of the best books I have read on the subjects of sex, intimacy, connection and relationships. It is a smart, easy read that is loaded with sage advice and insight from the lens of a highly experienced clinician. Loving Courageously is perfect for clients and therapists alike. Every individual and couple will be better off for having read this book. It is practical, interesting, positive and motivating. Loving Courageously is my new favorite 'must read book' for my own clients."
–Neil Cannon, Ph.D., LMFT, AASECT Certified Sex Therapist & Supervisor, Denver, Colorado. Instructor, University of Michigan School of Social Work Sexual Health Certificate Program

Believing that loving requires courage, Barbara Gold has written a book drawing on over thirty-five years of psychotherapy practice to help readers discover what is needed to develop a self to love and take good care of as they re-write the script they've learned and developed.

They will learn about healthy relationships, including boundaries, effective communication and collaborative problem solving, as well as gain a better understanding of gender differences and creating and maintaining emotional and sexual intimacy in a committed partnership.

Those who have or plan to have children will discover how to be a 'good enough' parent. Her book offers new ways of feeling, thinking and being, which will enhance both happiness and life quality.

Several “aha” moments and interesting to see how family dynamics can shape our relationships.

I'm the author of the book, so I definitely like it! The audio book, as well as softcover and Kindle are available on Amazon. I wrote the book to help people gain some of the important missing tools for good relationships with themselves and others and to "fill in the blanks" of what we need to learn but usually don't in order to love and take the best care of ourselves, have relationships with others which include good boundaries and communication and have healthy committed partnerships which are collaborative and not competitive in nature. The book also includes a variety of other information we need but lack, including raising well adjusted children, dealing with the bumps in the road life provides, gender differences and the complexity and importance of sexuality.

Soon I will be offering free promotions on all the formats, so stay tuned.

Entertaining, revealing, and new ways of thinking to enhance quality of life

I found "ah-ha!" moments throughout, along with little gems of wisdom. The easy, essay format in bite-sized portions and references to pop culture, drew me in. I found the Notes section very helpful, since it cites a topic and guides you to the chapter to read more. This is the ultimate relationship guide in every respect, pertaining to family, significant other, co-workers, or the most important one: yourself. It's easy to see why the author has a successful private practice as a licensed clinical social worker and marriage and family therapist. We are very lucky that she is sharing the fruits of that practice via this inspiring book!
