Whilst testing out a proof copy of my book “The Clever Kid’s Quiz and Puzzle Book” with my son, Tom, and some borrowed children on a long car journey, I noticed that my backseat passengers were getting more mileage out of the ‘Detective!’ game than I could ever have imagined. I resolved there and then to create a book filled entirely with ‘Detective!’ games.
And here it is! Only, I didn’t write it. The project was hijacked by my son, Jack, and his cousin, Aideen.
I think you’ll agree that they have done a far better job with this than I could ever have managed! Enjoy!
Detective is a guessing game similar to ‘twenty questions’. The idea is that the quizmaster reads out clues and the participant(s) must try to guess the answer using the clues. Points are awarded depending on how many clues the participant needs to solve the riddle.
