picked up this little book of big inspirations, 'Its not How, It's Why' at the very first days of the new year and was immediately impressed with its writing style, it's systematic approach and scientific ways of understanding one's purpose of life. The author, Ranjit Samsal deserves to be praised for his achievements in his real life, who is a Young Management Analysis Professional. Being a professional in this segment he could measure the pulse of the youth and what should be needed to be successful  or answer to the question why should one be successful?

However in some chapters it felt monotonous as he is repeatedly talking about the 'real want' of life. Sometimes I felt that I am reading a summary of great books in the nine chapters respectively. One chapter summarizes 'The Secret',  another summarizes 'The Magic of Thinking Big' and so on. I could not discover any new theory, which I have not already read in Brian Tracy, Robin Sharma, Napoleon Hill, David J Schwartz, Rhonda Byrne's books apart from the real life stories of the author. He weaves his stories around these famous theories and presents every chapter with an exercise for the readers to follow. This is where he becomes unique as he asks life changing questions to the readers and his stories of Bhelpuri-wala, his own father, the priest's story are very heart-touching.

Leaving the critical comment, I am really fascinated how a young Indian author has thought about the great future of entrepreneurship in India and how one should start from the scratch, from one's earliest days possible. It is like a handbook to inspire one to write his own book of success. A very systematic workbook to take the steps towards one's purpose of life. I would like to conclude with Viktor E. Frankl's qoute in this regard :

"Those who have a 'why' to live, can bear with almost any 'how.''

Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: ‘It’s not How, It’s Why?' by Ranjit Samal

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book. **

It’s really heartening to see an Indian author writing a book on self-development. And the author Mr. Ranjit Samal deserves a lot of praise for trying his hand out in this genre. The book can serve as a source of inspiration for its readers. It is written based on the perspective of the author and will help the readers in self-exploration.

The cover page of the book is very appealing and the overall book quality is also impressive. It creates a first glance attraction for any book reading enthusiast.

Coming to the genre, its very difficult and rare non-fiction genre from an Indian market standpoint while there are a lot of books written in the West over last 60 years. There is an interesting fallacy out here – those who are motivated enough to pick up a book on self-healing by an Indian debutant author may not find the book to be extremely fascinating just by the contents. The challenge will be to reach out to those who will otherwise not read the book. However, the book will create more impact which its western counterparts do through works of the same genre if the framework presented is based on a thorough work of research rather than on the author’s personal thought process. This book will surely work as a source of transformation and healing for that group.

Only grey area found in the book is the editing part which is very important in creating a smooth reading experience for any reader, esp a critical audience. Author must look into it in his next books.

The book marked a bright start from the debutant author and he must surely continue with the genre. However, a better editing next time will ensure a better reading experience. All the best to Ranjit.

Overall, a nice read. We rate it to be a 4.6*/5* and recommend for a fair reading. Literoma will look forward to see the author exploring this genre further.

Ranjit has really articulated this book well, step by step, in a very logical flow. His journey and interpretation of 'Real Want' is really admirable.
I would recommend this book to be read with a pen and book along, to write down answers to the questions that the author asks you to answer for yourself to realise better about your goals and how you want to meet them.
Looking forward for more of his works.
