Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound.
She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.

MILD SPOILERS AHEAD!
Ok, I just downloaded the sample of this book and this has to be the worst sample ever!!!
I can't read this book as the English Grammar and punctuation was the worst! Even my English husband was flabbergasted!
It took me 10 minutes to figure out who the hell died Lou or Riley? What the hello?
Please learn to use punctuation! It's really helpful when you write a story.
So my recommendation to you would be download the sample before you spend 7 dollars on this book.

Btw the content was bad also! Starting a book with Anal sex with a random chick is the best way to get you on my never read list personally!

"Shattered Vows" is the story of Abel and Harper.
Abel is the second of Denton children and finds his soulmate in his club one day, Harper. She's barely 21, and initially finds him creepy- but the relentless perusal leads to a whirlwind wedding and he decides to hide his real profession and family secrets from her until she's well and truly tied to him.
What I liked about this book was how truly devoted Abel was to Harper.
The love making scenes are few and hot!
Though the starting scenes of him with Diedre and her attraction to Damien made things a little awkward, their sweet chemistry makes the book better.
Overall, I liked this book because of the chemistry between the couple and his dedication.
So far the best book, including book 1,4.

Harper is not the type of woman to party, jump in bed with a man, and call it good in the morning. She is a planner, organized and cautious. When she meets Abel Denton she knows she is attracted but she doesn't trust Abel. One moment he is trying to talk her into a date, the next they are married.

Abel's family has a curse, insta-love that makes them crazy and hot on the trails of their woman. Harper though he is having a problem earning her trust, when he suggests running off and getting married she acts on a whim but he is not going to let her regret one moment of their time together. He gets Harper to fall hard for him but he has not told her a little secret about him, his family, and their ties.

This was fun, liked that Harper was a bit prim. I liked Abel, he is a tough guy who has to tone it down and when it comes to Harper he is completely entranced. Can't wait for the next book, looks to be brilliant.

I like Sam Crescent.. She is like another Alexa Riley to me..

So when I saw that she wrote a book based on one of my favorite themes, I couldn't resist ..

I need to have it!

I can say, that I absolutely loved the Denton family..

They have this curse/legacy going on that when they see the woman that is meant to be their soulmate for life, they will feel it in their entire being.. I mean literally..meaning..

He looked up.
And fell in love.


That's it..
Plain and simple!

But the tough part was that the female didn't quite feel the same way so they had to work to make them understand it make then fall for them..


This pretty much matches the werewolf mate thing where they just KNOW their mates.


So this happens with Abel when he sees Harper and he just ZINNNGGG...he knows.. And that exact moment Harper is chatting up with Abel's brother Damian and obviously Abel can't have that! So he goes up to Damian and warns him off and goes to her and pretty much grabs her arse and then gets kneed..

And that is ladies, how their story begins!

Oh wow!! This story just gave me goose bumps. Abel and Harper's story is wonderful. She doesn't know who he is when he sees her and grabs her ass but it pisses her off. Slowly, he wins her over and they get married but he still takes his time with her, not pressing the issue of sex. That was new for me. I really liked how he didn't rush her on the level. Of course, she doesn't know what he does for a living and while his family is telling him to let her know, she finds out the hard way when they are attacked. From then on, he answers her questions and tries to take it all in. I also love the drama of Landon, Abel's youngest brother. He's basically a cocky teenager who goes to far and gets shipped off to his Uncle in England. I won't say what happens there but I'm sure his story is down the road as he is still a teenager and needs to grow up a bit before his time comes. And I'll be eagerly waiting for Abel's brother and Harper's best friends story. This book was awesome and I can't wait for the next one.

Exactly how Harper felt, but then he just wouldn't give up and kept chasing her. So what does she do? Marries him!!


For Able, one minute he was living the life hooking up with hookers and then Wham he saw Harper and the Denton Legacy strikes again!! From that moment there was no one for him and nothing he wouldn't do to make her fall in love with him

I seriously love this series and I can't wait to see what is going to happen with Landon and boy oh boy what is Damian going to do with his situation

This is the second book within the Denton Legacy series and it was just as compelling as the first one. Abel the second brother in line of the Denton brothers is just as alpha, sexy and arrogant as the other brothers and he has every right to be he is a Denton after all. Abel is cocky, arrogant, incredibly self-assured and competitive he thinks that all women fall at his feet and that the family legacy of the men all finding their soul mate and his attributes will also make his woman succumb to his charms just as quickly as he falls for her. But from his very first meeting with the beautiful Harper he realises how very wrong he actually was. He soon learns why the women meant to be theirs are different and why he is willing to go above and beyond just to see his woman smile. Harper is feisty when she initially meets Abel and calls him on his actions but you soon see what a sweet and loving woman Harper actually is and how her softness and Abel’s hardness make the perfect combination together. They are definitely meant to be together forever. She soon sees a side of Abel few would think possible and you can understand why she swoons just as you will once you start to read their story. As the story progresses we see the brothers together and their continued brotherly banter which is a great addition to the books and shows you glimpses of how they are together but their personalities separately as well . There is more interaction between the head of the family the brothers Father Maddox and their mother his wife Charlotte. But also Landon and his continued struggle is covered a little more but still not resolved. No doubt his own story will be a gripping read when his time to fall is fully written. There is a new enemy the family must face and all of this happens with Abel trying to help Harper fall in love with him. It really is a story you must read. I have read this book numerous times and still enjoy it as much as the first time. The Dentons really are a league of their own just as this series is. I hope you will give it a try. Happy Reading! I thought I'd like it more than I did. I feel bad every time I criticise Sam Crescent's writing, but I do it because her stories have a lot of potential. Unfortunately, a lot of the times her dialogues sound awkward to me.
I wish Harper didn't give in so easily. She called him a creep (which he was) but not even 24 hours later she was having dinner with him. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that Abel had some PI gather information about her, so I don't know why she was okay with it. Then one night he was late, so late that it was actually morning and I get that it's upsetting but Harper thinks he shattered her heart by doing it. There's being sensitive and there's being overly sensitive. Sam Crescent's female characters tend to be over-dramatic (not in the funny way) and more sensitive than it's good for anyone.
As soon as I read that Damian and Gideon spent the night with Harper's roommates I knew something bad would come out of it. They both acted like idiots to be honest. Abel thinks they always sleep with women only once but suddenly they both go for seconds (or more). What makes it worse is that they're their brother's woman's best friends. It was a bad idea from the first night.
Gotta say, the Dentons for such badass men are pretty weepy.

Abel didn’t believe the curse. He certainly didn’t want to have a woman distracting him from his job. When a curvy beauty steps foot in their casino, he knows she is his. He just has to make her fall for him. Harper didn’t know what she wanted in life. She has worked different jobs and taking classes in college, but nothing seems to fit. When she goes with her besties to Denton Casino she certainly didn’t expect to be grabbed on the ass. The guy may be handsome but he was a creep. She wasn’t about to take any date with him. You have to love that the Denton boys have to really work hard to land the love of their lives. Abel certainly is a ladies’ man but he needs to make things right with Harper to get her to fall. The only things I hated was that everyone told him he needed to come clean and he kept putting it off. OK, you don’t want to lose Harper but you know the truth will come out and it did. We also have Landan. He is still a hot head and now things are much worse. He needs to grow up and learn to control his temper. This family is great. They always have each other’s back. Harper may be new to the group but she can hold her own. Plus she finds the place in the world with them.

Cuando le iba a decir los atacan y la salva por lo que ella esta agradecida no sin antes entrar en shock y hacer drama.
Abel le cuenta que el "protege" a las mujeres niños y familias que esta en peligro y le hace ver su oficio de una manera que vaya !! que bello !!! .... pero igual es un mafioso porque no le dice lo de el n4rc0. Ya poco a poco se dara cuenta. Y tienen sus bebes.

This is the second book in the Denton Family Legacy series by Sam Crescent. The books in this series could be read as stand alones but I definitely think you should read them all to get the full story. Abel Denton is the second oldest son, he's 33 years old and he's the one that tracks down the family's enemies and takes care of them. He likes to fuck but he has no time for them afterwards that's why he goes to the same whore since he was a teenager because she knows what he likes and she doesn't expect anything from him. He thinks the Denton legacy is actually more of a curse and he hopes it never happens to him. Harper is 20 years old and very uptight, unlike her two BFF's, Lara and Betty, Harper is still a virgin. She works and goes to school and has little time for anything else in her life. Her two besties who are also her roommates convince her to go with them to the nightclub on the second floor of the Denton Casino. They bought her a fake ID so she feels obligated to go but she will not be bringing a guy home with her. When they get there her two friends leave her and she ends up at the bar talking to Damian Denton. After meeting with his father Abel goes downstairs to their nightclub and as he's walking down the stairs his whole world stops. He can't believe the woman who is meant to be his forever is dancing with his younger brother, Damian. He immediately goes over to them and grabs Harper, pulls her close to him, and then grabs her ass. She doesn't take to kindly to that and she kicks him in the nuts. While he's on the ground he tells Damian to stay away from her and asks what her name is. He sends flowers to her the next day to apologize for his behavior but she thinks he's a creep. Her friend Lara slept with Gideon Denton and Betty slept with Damian Denton. Abel is not giving up so he spends his time with Harper so she can get to know him and eventually like him. He does however neglect to tell her exactly what his family does for a living or what he does for them. What will happen when Harper finds out the truth about Abel and his family ? Can he make her fall in love with him and hopefully get her pregnant before he has to tell her ?

This book is a 2.5/5. first, it's just WAY too fast that everything in it is so rushed. not a spoiler bc it's mentioned in the bio but they get married. BECAUSE she wants to prove to him that's she's fun??!! I mean let's just be real here. That would NEVER happen. they went on one date and suddenly married. And I hate the love at first sight nonsense in the beginning because you dont know each other!!!!!! how can you love someone without interacting with each other let's be real!

I love the little twist to this series, how the men can sense instinctively the woman they are ment to love\marry. Abel is yummy! He is very misguided in some ways, but his heart is in the right place as he tries to win the love of his soulmate. I.really love these brothers and can't wait for the next book.

So it's like fated mates on one side and nothing on the other. I really don't like how everyone is openly talking about past lovers and we get to see them. The Damian part is a bit redundant, we know the outcome and I don't get. If they all know they will get their one, why are they fucking everything that moves and not expect consequences?
