A home, a mortal lover, and something approaching a normal life - it was more than a sex demon could hope for.
Perhaps it was too good to last.
Because now there's a new agent of sin in town and she's unlike anything the demons have seen before. When Mercy, an unassuming university student, is unwittingly drawn to the dark side of lust, little does she know that she has become a pawn in the timeless battle for souls. As her life descends into carnal abandon, the demons come to realize that the greatest threat to them could be one of their own.
Kat & Daniel now lived in a high rise top floor apartment. They had lived Britt (Damian's partner, ½ demon), & Damian (incubus) with in a farmhouse. The 2 of them broke up. Kat took every advantage of her sexual needs with Daniel,& of course he enjoyed every minute of it. Her horns had added a few more notches on the headboard. Friday night Mercy was going to meet George at the local pub. On the way there Mercy stopped at a lingerie shop. They also carried sex toys & other things of that nature.
The saleswoman suggested a few things for her to try on. She did spend some money there. After a while George admitted he really want interested. Thank goodness Mercy had bought a backup; vibrator. Mercy tried again this time with Michael “Mike” (college student). Strike 2. Stacey (Mercy’s BFF) invited Mercy (college student English Lit.) to a party at her house. Stacey & her professor were hooking up. Jake (college student Anthropology) introduced himself to Lilah (aka Mercy). Mercy decided to get a makeover at a beauty salon. & to top it all off a tattoo & nose piercing. It was Christmas all the students had gone home. Mercy was going uptown to the bars to see if she could score a guy. Troy introduced himself to Lilah (aka Mercy). She finally struck Gold with him.
Christmas time, Kat & Daniel were explaining to Pastor Wagner, & Hab, how many homeless PPL they & other volunteer’s feed a day. Students welcome back! Professor Britt Grayling (f) taught Sex & Relationships in Literature. Mercy had fucked a complete stranger she met by a convenience. Kojak, & Steve were telling Daniel about Mercy. Mercy had snuck in Mike’s room at night & had just got started on him, but someone else was in the room also. Eva (older woman) had taught Mercy lots o f things.
Asmodeus (Prince of Demons) came to visit with Kat & Daniel quite frequently. Katarina “Kat” von Regensburg (succubus, Demon) really new what she was doing with Daniel when it came to fellatcio. But this time it wasn’t her. Lamia (accountant) really surprised Mercy. OK she was to, but both were very satisfied when done screwing. Mercy now resides in Montreal, Canada.

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one. All thoughts & opinions are entirely my own.
A very sexy book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written erotic paranormal romance book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great erotic paranormal romance movie, animated cartoon, or better yet a paid-per-view mini TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.

This is only the second book I've picked up in the supernatural erotica genre and I wish someone had told me before they were this much fun to read. I haven't read the other books in the series and received this one in exchange for an honest review. I didn't feel like I missed any pieces picking up on book 4, though I do plan on going back and picking up the first three to read later.
I liked all of the characters in the novel, and my favorite was the vaping demon and his rants and vaping in hell. I'm a vaper and I was cracking up laughing. The sex scenes were well written with great prose and descriptions. We got to see a mousy church girl evolve to kind of a human succubus hybrid and all of her scenes were great
An interesting story foraying the world of demons and mortals at the same time with frequent erotic encounters. The couples Kat and Daniel as well as Britt and Damian are well developed and balance each other well. The mortal, Mercy is the most interesting character. Her complexity and her action make the story interesting. Although I read romance, I don't normally read this genre, but I found the book interesting enough to read it in one day. I had some problems with the narrative here and there but on the whole, the writing is good.
Another hit from a master. Once I picked this book up I couldn't put it down. Once again KT has produced a masterpiece that take the reader into another world of demons and near demons. Just plain brilliant.
I had been avoiding this genre for the longest time, but I am very glad I read this book. I think it was the skill of the author in holding my attention that made this so good. Every scene was captivating and I really felt a connection with many of the character, even if they were completely unlike myself. The narrative was also a perfect balance of action, sex, intrigue, and character relationships. I love to read about new worlds, and this book introduced me to a whole new take on our current earthly existence. I know I'm coming late to this genre, and with low expectations too, but the author did well to ease me in. I don't know if this book has gone through a professional editor, but it sure felt like it. I found next to no mistakes in it and never felt that scenes needed cutting or rearranging. This is such a rare thing these days. I will say the formatting could do with a bit more work, but as that can be fixed in the future, and I did enjoy this book so much, I just had to give it five stars.
An Islay single malt Scotch is an acquired taste. Flavors of peat, smoke, seaweed, even iodine are intense and must be balanced within each glass, sometimes with the addition of a little water. Erotica is the same, an acquired taste that must be the right balance of intensity and relaxation within each story. If not done well, erotica tends to be smut or ill-fitting add-ons to a dreary novel. This book is the right mix of romance, sex, lovemaking, friendship, philosophy, theology, plot, introspection, lust, humor (well-done tongue-in-cheek), personal growth, caring and a host of minor flavors all wrapped in the modern lives of demons, half mortals, the possessed, and a few normals. I’m no expert, but I don’t think it can be done better than K. T. McColls’ The Demon’s Apprentice. If you like erotica and don’t mind a demon or two with skills that put yours to shame, this book is a good one, a well-written good one.
This story gets off to a slow start. There is no action or drama until page 8. There is a lot of back-story and it spoils the enjoyment. I wanted to get into the story, not to read about Britt who lived in a farmhouse somewhere. The author shows her true colors when she describes the victim’s age, religious beliefs, and maturity. It might be that the author regrets some of the wasted opportunities she left behind at college and wants her protagonists to make up for it. Some phrasing seemed contrived and unnecessarily complicated; ground her ass into the mattress and let a moaning sigh whisper from her lips. Where else do you sigh, moan, and whisper, all at once? She forgot to breathe, not breath. She allowed a small trickle his energy to enter her. Missing, of. These tiny errors grate when the rest of the book is edited so well. I understood Nephilim to be heroes of the old world and warriors, not some kind of hybrid angel/demon/succubus/human entity. The Story of Mercy appears out of nowhere and it is a long time before we see where it is going in relation to the demonic characters. Page 87 and we learn about the deserted sex shop; at last, a mystery! A connection! The book continued with several episodic scenes, somewhat disconnected and making no overall connection or sequence. Some of the scenes seem to have been added simply as word fillers. The sex was somewhat formulaic after the first instance and I found is repetitive. I skipped most of the details from then on since they were all the same or similar. Overall I found the story less than believable since I am an atheist but that does not detract from the central theme of good and evil as applied to heaven and hell. If I was a Christian believer, the story might well resonate more for me. I’m glad Mercy made up her mind and became a success at what she is evidently best at!
A story that can’t be retold by the reader is one that has no storyline. This book comes across as such. In it, demonic characters contriving sexual adventures swarm the pages, seemingly building relationships aimed at carnal exploitation, supervised by the Prince of Demons. It has no concept, no entertainment, and no purpose. There is so much telling and so little showing that the reader is left with nothing to look forward to, making the book just a bland erotica imbued with sloppy plot development.
The writing style is casual and inelegant, the actions are unconvincing. And, with no synchronization of scenes, the tart narration renders the work a clumsy, impersonal foray into demonic eroticism.
Another hit from K.T. McKoll. If you like the others in this series you'll like this one too. The two main couples in the previous books are settled with the sex demons going out to 'feed' nightly and their human or almost human partners coming to accept what they do. However, the game of the two sides, with everyone trying to move up in the ranks of either the 'good' or 'evil' continues. There is a new player, a new hunter in the sex demons territory, but she lacks the demonic vibe. How does a sweet, church going girl become a threat to their happy demonic den of sin?
