Mating Wars #4

Marauder Ramses

Rate this book
An alien warrior breaks all the rules to protect his human mate.

Ramses Ivanov never thought he’d find his mate, but when this alien warrior meets his new partner--a human cop on Earth--everything changes. He can’t resist her soft, sweet voice; or her almond-brown eyes and killer curves. Dating your partner is strictly forbidden, but when it comes to his mate, all rules are meant to be broken.

Elise never really wanted to be a cop, and she certainly never wanted an insufferable, frustrating asshole like Ramses as her partner. The sexy, pink-skinned alien swaggers onto Earth like he owns the whole planet, and he looks at Elise with a cocky grin, like he owns her.

When a terrorist attack exposes Elise to a mysterious gas, the supercomputer that runs Earth tries to kill her. Ramses knows of only one place that he can keep her safe--a planet no one is supposed to land on...Atlantis. He’d go to hell and back to protect Elise, and it turns out that Atlantis is the closest thing there is to hell. Ramses and Elise will have to become much more than partners if they want to survive this ice-cold abyss--freeze to death, or find warmth in each other.

Marauder Ramses is the fourth book in the Mating Wars series, it features steamy sex, thrilling battles, and plenty of romance. All books in this rock-hard science fiction series can be read as standalones, there are no cliffhangers, and happily ever afters are guaranteed!

It was just too short.
This one it's the 4th installation of the Mating Wars. A War between humans, alien/Marauder, machine and Seph.
We jumped forward, 25 years, where the babies are all grow ups. There we learnt a few things, such as rules and regulations, match and not match, battle process, lost and found. There were a lot of things that I would like to read more. It was just too short for my taste, I wanted to know more, just more but it was enough for the love story.
It wasn't funny like the first one, the alien side, but there was quite humor in the human side.
I really can't wait for more. And I really really hope the 2nd female generation of the Maraude/Human/Seraph got her book.

Marauder Ramses is the fourth book in the Mating Wars series by Aya Morningstar. Even though it's a series that I would suggest you read in order, you can definitely read Ramses' story as a stand-alone.

I'll not even lie, I was terrified to read this book. I loved the Marauder, the original three alien hunks stole my heart, big time. Knowing that this book skipped ahead years and moved into the Seraphim, the children of Marauder and human mates, worried me. I'm so thrilled that I worried for no reason. In fact, I think this book is my favorite of the series.

There is a lot of action and adventure with a beautifully crafted mate/insta-love bond between Ramses and Elise. They had great chemistry not only as a romantic couple, but as partners in the fight against the Darkstar Marauder. The author puts a ton of story into these novellas, even though this is a quick read, it is completely satisfying.

I can't wait for the next book, I'm half in love with Kain already.

Five Stars and Four Wet Panties! A must read for anyone who likes sci-fi romance!!

This story started off slow and then went all out as far as excitement and characters go! Ramses is the son of Aegis and Anya, is a Seraph—half human/half Marauder. Unlike the Marauders, their skin isn’t purple. It’s pink. He’s also what is now called a Peacekeeper. The Empire no longer exists but in its place is a super-intelligent A.I. called Harmony on Earth and Harmony is most definitely a trip. Harmony is scary. The inhabitants of Mars and Venus want no parts of her control and the Marauders don’t trust Harmony so they try and keep much of what they are doing away from her scope of influence. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the next one featuring a reluctant hero. I didn’t start out being into these types of stories but I surely understand how one becomes a fan!

Lost

I wasn't able to enjoy the book because I felt lost throughout it. I understand this book is suppose to be part of a series but it was also mentioned that it could be read as a stand alone.

I only purchased this book because it was free.

There really is no introduction of the world. You are just shoved in and have to figure out what the heck is going on. Who is harmony? Who are the Marauder's? Etc etc.... The story doesn't make sense because I don't have an understanding of the setting and the full major characters. Maybe if I would've read the first book I would've been able to enjoy this one.

Also, in the blurb it says that Ramses and Elise are supposed to be true mates and Ramses comes off as some strong alpha male. There's only about one or two mentions of mates or true mates in the boon. Ramses and Elise attraction is immediate but it doesn't go anywhere until later when they just kinda randomly have sex. Also, Ramses doesn't come off as that strong agressive alpha male I thought he was going to be.

Elise doesn't even know that Ramses and her are true mates. Its only mentioned that they like each other a lot and want to be with the other one. They both give into each other WAY to easily which ends up being a little boring.

In all the story could've been told a little better. I found myself lost and confused most of the time because I didn't know the world or what the big picture was. Elise and Ramses love story was also not that exciting.

I want a biosuit, but I'll settle for a glove!

The fourth book in the Mating Wars series Marauder Ramses introduces us to Seraph Ramses Ivanov and human cop Elise-something or other from some backwater police station in Chicago. Ramses got to deal with his attraction to Elise and earth's out of control government AI, Harmony.

Elise and her trusty stun baton are not happy when her chief partners her up with arrogant Marauder Ramses Ivanov to prevent Grius from attacking earth. As the two work together, they learn that Harmony is working with Darkstar, a marauder fleet who wants to destroy the planet. Ramses and Elise's time on earth is cut short after Elise Harmony injects Elise with a mysterious gas, and they arrive in Atlantis, where giant spiders and frigid temperatures kill. (Even with all the snow and ice, author Aya Morningstar still finds a way for the marauder to walk around naked)

On Atlantis, Ramses and Elise encounter Kain, Grius' son, who is tasked with killing Ramses to hurt Aegus, Ramses' father. The battle on Atlantis begins, and loyalties are tested as one son will betray his father.

There are many funny moments in Marauder Ramses, mostly when Ramses eats a hotdog (with everything) from Jerry's dogs (I laughed out loud!). Ramses' response to his actions is "I'm from Venus. We do not put painful, burning flavors into our food, and I thought you were poisoning us." Marauder Ramses an action-packed delightful read.

On my Were Scale of Hotness, 4 stars.

Title: Marauder Ramses
Series: Marauder Wars Series
Note: Book 4 of 4 so far (more on the way, at least a 4th) and does NOT have a cliff hanger ending and has a HEA
Author: Aya Morningstar

This is my review of Marauder Ramses, book 4 in The Marauder Wars Series. I got this third book in the series free in exchange for an honest review. . This is the continuation of a great series and it can be read as a standalone. Each of the 4 books connect to each other but all 4 can be read as a standalone because each has its ending . Be warned though you will not want to stop with just this one book and I have been waiting on this book for a while.

This is the continuation of the story the marauders. Book 1 and 2 have both Cygnus and Fenrir finding their mates and coming to trust in Aegus and his true knowledge that Marauder-Human pairings will create what is known as the true Seraphin form. In book 3 you find out that Aegus finds his mate and the Marauder Fleet has arrived in the area. Marauders are constantly on the run because of the fact that once they mate with a particular species the children from that pairing are unable to mate with any of the original marauders or from the species that the marauders mated with. As a result they are constantly on the move from planet to planet taking it over, taking mates, reproducing, and then moving on to the next planet to keep their species alive. Aegus knew (back in book 1) that Humans were the key to stopping this but did not want it to happen by invasion but instead wanted his race to join with humans and co-mingle without war and deaths. Well Aegus managed to complete his goal and between his own efforts, and his fellow Mauraders, the fleet managed to get rid of the Marauders who just wanted to conquer. What was left was Marauders willing to join the Humans, mate, and make a life together without having to stay on the run.

Ramses Ivanov is the son of Aegus and he is a peacekeeper who is assigned a female human partner names Elise. Problem is she is his mate and it is forbidden for him to date her. Elise was basically forced to be a cop and the fact that she has to work with Ramses irks her, especially when she finds out that she is his mate. Ramses and Elise are trying to track down and stop a terrorist attack and in the process Elise is exposed and as a result the super powerful computer that runs Earth determines to terminate her to risk more exposure. Ramses defies this and runs with Elise to an off-limits planet named Atlantis. Will she live? Will they be able to complete the mate bond? Will they be caught? You must read the book because anything else that I add to this review would spoil the book.

MARAUDER RAMSES(Mating Wars #4) by Aya Morningstar

Ramses Ivanov is a Peacekeeper and goes to Earth to offer his help to the human cops. On his first day his warned about an impending terrorist attack and he intervenes, but his new partner is less thsn happy with his attitude and calls him an asshole. But the last thing he ever expects to find on Earth, is his mate.

Elise has a new partner and she isn't thrilled about it. Ramses is insufferable and frustrating, and he thinks he can tell her what to do. But Elise isn't going to let the Seraphim boss her about, she has a job to do and she's going to do it. So the last thing she expects is to find herself running from the law.

When Elise is exposed by a mysterious gas, that was released during the terrorist attack, she becomes a threat and is almost killed, Ramses does everything to keep her alive, and that means leaving the planet. But the threat is not that easy to away from and they are followed. He knows the only place he can keep her safe, is the one place his not supposed to go...Atlantis. But Ramses would go anywhere to protect Elise, even hell itself. What he doesn't realise is, is that they may have found it!

Another fantastic book in this amazing series. I loved the storyline, it was intriguing and exciting. The author creates a picture of Atlantis, but not as we would expect it but as a crazy and dangerous place where most of the story takes place. Ramses and Elise are awesome, both strong characters and are well suited. This book is filled with suspense, action, and some human/alien romance. A very entertaining read that I thoroughly enjoyed!

MARAUDER RAMSES-MATING WARS BOOK 4-SUSPENSE AND STEAMY ROMANCE

WHAT YOU’LL FIND IN THIS SCI-FI ROMANTIC STORY; cast of remarkable and engaging characters, an unlikely friendship occurs, a bit of drama, spine-chilling suspense, horrific danger, life-threatening incidents, sky-rocketing heart-pounding sensual romance, and a heart-warming conclusion leaving you wanting more.

HOW THEY MEET; Ramses is a peacekeeper, strikingly handsome and son of Marauder Aegus. He has been sent to Earth to stop the Marauder’s from the lost ships from wreaking havoc or worse. Elise a cop has been assigned to Ramses as a partner for his stay on earth. Elise’s beauty and sass captivate him and when she is targeted by Harmony the intelligent supercomputer that controls earth he is catapulted into keeping her safe. Taking her to Atlantis seemed like a great plan until horrific danger threatens them and protecting her from the onslaught becomes paramount.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC; This is an action packed story and keeps you glued till the end with the intriguing plot, quick-witted dialogue, powerful vivid scene descriptions and thrilling moments. I adored the relationship between Ramses and Elise; Ramses is bossy and extremely protective but so is Elise a perfect match as they were totally devoted to each other and their romance is filled with sizzling passion. The author does a fabulous job showing the action and Harmony has her own brazen persona. This was a most entertaining read and I loved it. If you treasure alien romance this is certainly a terrific book for your library. {I was gifted this book and this is my honest review}. In the world of fantasy romance, the possibilities are endless, but always fascinating. Without reservations, I recommend this book.

Aya Morningstar is a very good author/writer of Alien Romance. I have not been reading her books very long, but I have to tell you that I love her Mating Wars series. “Ramses” knocked my socks off. I thought that Maraurder Aegus was my favorite book, but his son Ramses beats him bad. Aya outdid herself on this book. The standard has been set high now. Trust me when I say that you will not be disappointed by reading this book. You can’t but falling in love Ramses and Elise. This book is recommended for mature readers 18 years of age or older.

On his first day on Earth as a peacekeeper, Ramses Ivanov finds his mate. Elise is a cop on Earth which is run by Harmony. Elise never wanted to be a cop. She actually wanted to be a doctor, but Harmony convinced her she would better qualified at being a cop. So here she was partnered with a peacekeeper from Venus that is arrogant and insufferable. Then next thing she knows she inhales some green fumes from what was thought to be a bomb. After Ramses takes the bracelet off of her wrist Ramses and her are now wanted by Harmony. So the go on the run and wind up in Atlantis. Atlantis is now frozen over and extremely cold. Will Ramses and Elise get off the planet? Will being stranded help them to become closer?

No Spoilers. ARC free book given in exchange for an honest review.

“It wasn’t all ego. Everything I said I’d do, I did.”
This is such a fun series to read, and this newest installment certainly gave me everything I’d been looking for. With a larger than life hero, this book picks up the story with Ramses, Aegis’ son, who has grown into formidable warrior in his own right and is sent to work as a peacekeeper on Earth. Partnered with a feisty human who keeps him on his toes, the chemistry between Ramses and Elise kept me riveted, and I found myself frequently snickering at the banter between them.
A lot has changed on Earth, now under the guidance of an AI ruler named Harmony who may not be as benevolent as the population was led to believe, and the pair are forced to flee, seeking sanctuary on a virtually uninhabitable planet populated by creatures I’d prefer not to think about. The story progresses quickly as they struggle to save themselves and divert a terrorist plot, and I found myself more than a little agitated by the vast amount of power Harmony wields.
We also get introduced to Kain in this installment, and his and Ramses bickering has me anxiously awaiting his story so I can get another Marauder fix.
Please note that I received a complimentary advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

In this book of the series we meet Ramses the son of Tsar Aegus from Venus

Ramses is a peacekeeper, strikingly handsome and son of Marauder and now Tsar Aegus. He has been sent to Earth to stop the Marauder’s from the lost ships from wreaking havoc on Earth. Elise is cop on Earth who has been assigned to Ramses as a partner during his stay on earth. Elise’s beauty captivates him, he knows she's the one fore him and when she is targeted by Harmony the intelligent supercomputer that controls earth he is catapulted into keeping her safe. Taking her to Atlantis seemed like a great plan until horrific danger threatens them and protecting her from the onslaught becomes paramount.

They meet and join forces with an unlikely ally, Kain son of the leader of the Marauders hell bent on getting their hands on Elise and anihilating Earth, Grius. There is a very important reason why they need Elise, which makes it even more reason for Ramses to protect her at all costs.

This is a very action packed story and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Ramses may not be purple and teal like his dad, but he can still make a girl vibrate with pleasure.

Ramses is a Peacekeeper, who has been given a mission to trace terrorists on Earth. On his way to meet his new human partner he makes a side visit to a lead. When his lead leads to an imminent attack on the very place where he was to meet his partner, he leaps into action.

Elise is not happy that her so called partner has gone Lone Ranger on her. When they get swept up into the plot and contaminated, the overseer AI, seems to be in collusion with the bad guys! They attempt to escape off world and end up crashed on a planet (that's not there according to star maps). When the bad guys trace them, can they survive on the cold, barren world long enough to escape and rescue Earth?

I loves this book! Ramses is hot, tough, cocky and hides a protective soul. Elise is brilliant as the cop who has never really had to deal with off worlders before. She is plucky and brave in the face of mounting danger. I loved the fact that she and Ramses totally manage to turn a "bad guy" into their ally! I can't wait to see what is in store for him!

This story jumped 25 years into the future...

In this installment, we have Ramses hybrid son of Aegus and Anya. He's a cop who meets his partner and mate, Elise, while looking for Marauder sympathizers on Earth.

I actually liked this book better than the previous ones. Well, I did after I got over the annoyance for jumping into the future by a quarter of a century. This book has a bit of a dystopian feel with the supercomputer, Harmony, in control of Earth. I love the twist of finding Atlantis in space.

Ramses and Elise seemed to fit well and I enjoyed their chemistry. Their banter was fun. Even though we were handed inst-love again in this story, I felt it was handled well.

In this one, the annoying typo from the first three books was not found as often. Thank goodness!

How is the author's writing? Okay
Is there violence? Yes
Is there sexual content? Yes, explicit
How is the story narrated? Alternating persons
How is the character development: Okay, but not great.

The story was good enough I picked up the next two in the series about Kain and Kronos.

Wow! This book was non-stop action from the start! I loved this incredibly vibrant world full of interesting creatures from humans to aliens to artificial intelligence! I couldn’t put the book down!

Elise is a strong heroine that doesn’t take crap from no one. Ramses is a cocky (literally) stubborn alien who acts like he owns the solar system. The two together are exciting and hilarious! I loved their banter as well as their battle and sexy-time scenes!

The only thing that gave me pause was the quick acceptance of realizing Ramses and Elise are mates. Granted, this is my first read of the series and it is the fourth book so I haven’t read the beginning yet. This could be a normal occurrence in the series. I’m definitely going to have to go back to the beginning and find out!

MARAUDER RAMSES is my first read by Aya Morningstar and I can’t wait to read more! I highly recommend this to any Sci-fi/Fantasy reader!

Harmony

Ramses, who hadn't arrived yet in Marauder Aegus, is now an adult hybrid Seraphim and a Peacekeeper. He travels to Earth on assignment and, with his new Terran partner, Elise, mitigates a terrorist attack on the train station. But because they are exposed to a chemical agent in a bomb blast, they are thoroughly scrubbed down and bands are placed on their wrists to detect if they become infected. It doesn't take long for them to learn the wrist bands are actually bombs and that Harmony, the Artificial Intelligence that rules Earth, is trying to kill them. Which puts them on the run, from the Darkstar Marauders who survived the attack on their ships in the previous book as they attempted to invade and annihilate, and from Harmony, who has apparently been co-opted and is supporting them in their efforts.
This is another great Marauder book, which introduces Kain, the star of the next book in the series. It also a Kindle Unlimited library read.

I received this book as an ARC for a honest review. This is book 4 is the Mating Wars series, it is a stand alone book with a HEA. Ramses is on a mission to earth to find Marauders who are trying to destroy the peace that has been achieved after 25 year of them landing on Earth. There are issues with kids of Marauders who did not wait to find their true mate to settle down and start families. Now there are Seraphin who are not happy and want to leave earth to find a mate somewhere else.. Elise is the cop who is partnered up with Ramses to find the traitors and stop the Marauders from destroying earth.

We return to the series several years later. Ramses, a child of a marauder father and a human mother, is now an adult. He is sent to Earth to work with the peacekeepers there. Elise is his human partner. Things start off with a terrorist attack and go down hill from there. Ramses seems to be able to handle anything though, but the first time he meets Elise he has a feeling about her. That feeling will only grow for both of them, but the trouble for Earth is only getting worse.

Highly suggest reading the books in order to avoid confusion.

Ramses takes us into the next generation

Elise and Ramses have a fun story and an interesting adventure, as they deal with Marauders from the lost ships that Aegus and his brother deliberately came ahead of.

I was gifted with a copy of this story, and switched to the Kindle Unlimited version when it was published... the world building, and exploration both of a poet future, Alien cultures, and our solar system are all such fun to get immersed in with these stories. As each one ends, I can't wait to discover what the author has in store for this Universe next.

This is another fun sci-fi romance from Aya Morningstar featuring those sexy, quirky Marauders who know how to get a woman all hot and bothered. I have really enjoyed the series.

Rameses is on Earth to stop a major terrorist attack but he also finds his mate. Elise is the cop assigned to work with him but it gets very complicated when she is put at risk. Together, they travel to Atlantis in a battle to save her. There is plenty of action and excitement as these two spend time together.

Ramses arrives on earth and the trouble begins. He doesn't go to his scheduled meeting with the police and ends up calling for backup when things go bad.
Elise is a cop and when Ramses didn't show up for their meet and she gets a backup call, everything goes south. They end up in a battle with Harmony, the earth robot. They end up in a frozen Atlantis and they do their best to survive. Add in some great extra characters and his book comes to life. Great read about Life, Love and survival when things are at their worst.

Book 4 of Marauders. Actually it was a “Next Gen” with Ramses, the son of Aegus and Anya from book three. We meet Ramses, who is a peacekeeper and Elise, a modern day cop. They stumble on plans to destroy the earth. Will they be able to save it in time?
This book was good and we got to see a new dynamic of how things are 25 years sense the Marauders first came. What was upsetting was that the ending felt really rushed and the book ended at 77% on my kindle. The other 20 plus % were up and coming or already published books.

My problem may be that these series are starting to really bore me. I wasn't fully captivated to begin with and with this book I found it problematic to be interested in.

Main hero is a second generation of Marauders, so no biosuits or extra fighting skills. Big improvement personality wise. Few interesting additions like Atlantis and Dark star Marauders finally making their move. But overall, it failed to keep me motivated to keep reading and I finished just out of feeling of duty. Maybe I need a break before continuing with next book.

This is a great addition to the series. We met Ramses parent in an earlier read and now we see their son all grown up in this book. Therefore Ramses is half marauder and half human. He is a peacekeeper on Earth and finds that his new partner is his mate. When Elise is in danger, Ramses will stop at nothing to protect her. This is a fast paced story with lots of suspense and drama. The characters are fun and the story is entertaining. I loved it and am looking forward to more.
