I'm overdosed with today's 'literature'. Everything in the last years (375 weeks of reading?) Is a disappointing trend! I download, search for crude words, and then delete it! Authors seem to expect reader enthusiasm for brutality, blood-letting, cruelty, or excessive meaness. I'm an octogenarian and I am actually missing Snow White, Bobby's Greyfriar, Lord of the Rings, and Black Beauty! I've downloaded YA listed books and wondered if parents are even reading what is being recommended to their children!? I think I'll go ask a homeschooled kid to borrow what they are reading!
