About the author

Tony Abbott (born 1952) is an American author of children's books. His most popular work is the book series The Secrets of Droon, which includes over 40 books. He has sold over 12 million copies of his books and they have been translated into several other languages, including Italian, Spanish, Korean, French, Japanese, Polish, Turkish, and Russian. He has also written the bestseller Firegirl.

Abbott was born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1952. His father was a university professor and had an extensive library of books which became one of Abbott's first sources of literature. When he was eight years old, his family moved to Connecticut where he went through elementary school and high school.

Abbott attended the University of Connecticut, and after studying both music and psychology, decided to study English and graduated from the University of Connecticut with a bachelor's degree in English literature. He attended the workshops of Patricia Reilly Giff to further develop his writing after college.

Abbott currently lives in Trumbull, Connecticut, with his wife, two daughters, and two dogs. Tony had one brother and two sisters.

خب تو این جلد مقبره ملکه زارا رو بالاخره میبینیم و آخرش هم میفهمیم اون جمله "تو هم از مایی" که اسپار به اریک میگفت چیز خاصی نبوده. به نظرم نویسنده دیده نمیتونه از اون جمله استفاده خاصی بکنه، گفته بذار تمومش کنم که کسی گیر نده.

The other night, I was reading Dream Thief to my son at bedtime. I did my best not to laugh as the monkeys were described in Chapter 4. The phrase "red-sashed monkey", which appears twice in that chapter, almost came out of my mouth as "Red-Assed Monkey". Then to make matters worse, the monkeys start hitting with sticks and throwing around their big nuts.

"....there are better things to do with sticks and big nuts," said Neal.
My advice: Watch out for those monkeys - I barely made out of chapter 4 alive!

When i saw the title, i was excited for the concept. But we didn’t really get much of the concept. It was really only in the beginning. And we met random characters that weren’t introduced well.

- Eric is dreaming of saving droon when jabbo shows up
- Eric has a stone from his dream with his name in droon language
- Galen also dreamed of jabbo
- Three new characters. Where did these come from and who are they?
- Need to go to the dark lands
- Jabbo finds the gang. He is trying to be the new sparr
- The creature from his dream stole Eric’s stone
- Handmade swamp shoes
- Try to convince jabbo to give back the eye
- Fountain water is how jabbo gets into dreams
- Jabbo grows to twice his size and burns biscuits. Then he shrinks back and is crying because he burned them
- Jabbo gives up the stone and just wants a good oven
- Come across a temple with stone just like eric’s. To resemble the wizards of droon
- Eric put his stone in and saw a vision of their future?
- Jabbo is taken to firefrog mountian so he can continue to make pies but also be watched
- Julie might be able to fly??

I think this book was OK because Eric and the others eventually defeated Jabbo. I did not like the part where Jabbo almost defeated Eric and the others.

This series was a great series for my son, he looked forward to buying the next book in the set each time. I liked the characters and I must say, This was a Good Read.

Jabbo the small dragon who bakes pies has been influenced by Lord Sparr to take over Droon. And Eric is hearing a soft, mysterious voice. A good installment.

This series is one of the many series i read in elementary,but i think i have read better series.The book right away sucks the reader into the story. The book uses a lot of imagination, so the reader really has to read the book open minded. The series talk about how these 3 kids discover a magical world and have to save it from an evil king. So every time something magical happens in their dreams or when they are awake, the children get sucked into the world of magic and have to save it once again.

I've decided to read The Secrets of Droon series entirely for Christmas since i've been feeling a bit nostalgic. I want to be able to live a bit of the magic of being a kid and what beeter to help than this incredible series. I know that this series is for young kids but i feel it will still be great after all these years.
This one didn't have as much action as the past books. We meet new characters and new villains although one of them is not really one. We discover some new things and are given new surprises.

I enjoyed this book. I would recommend that if you read these series that you start with book one, it will make a lot more sense. I enjoyed reading about how having power can make you crazy and do things that you don't want to do, like it does to Jabbo in this book. It has a good ending and sums it all up, I plan on reading more of this series. I would recommend this to you younger readers, interested in magic, and exploring.

In this one, there's this little plump dragon whose name is Jabbo. He can turn into the dragon on the cover of this book, and he can go into people's dreams.

I love this series. I read it awhile ago and now my younger cousin is trying to find the perfect book. He's to young for Harry potter so I was ecstatic when I saw the description on this book.
