S. Van Horne was born and raised in the small town of Belton, Missouri, which is a part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. She is from a very large family and is the oldest of six. Growing up she did not have the easiest life. She learned quickly that family means everything, even if it is the type that you get to pick for yourself. She met the love of her life at the early age of 20 and was married just after nine months of meeting him. Shortly after marriage, her husband rejoined the U.S. Navy and they moved from Kansas City and started their journey together. Currently they have two amazing children, a boy and a girl, a sassy cat, and are still enjoying the Navy life.
She spends her days being a Navy wife, homeschool mother, reading books, writing her latest novel, watching her beloved Kansas City Chiefs or Kansas City Royals play, watching movies, hanging out with family and friends and having girls days at least once a month.
This was a very enjoyable read with loads of drama which I love! Without all the pushing and pulling bullshit or the OW/OM drama. For me, That is the best kind of drama. Drama that is safe. The book and the story was easy to follow and the plot clearly explained. Very well written. Hero named Ghost-Dante is 27 and is an ex-seal-security specialist. Heroine named squirt-Lan is 25 and is a doctor. I will say that I had very low expectations as to this book keeping my interest so I expected it to drag on in the middle which it did. But it was also funny! That I was not expecting. Her guy friends (who are gay) are a riot and the crew from the security team (ex-seals) were OTT funny as well. I was laughing for most of their interactions here. The book takes a somber turn here. For me, the story gets a little weird when the heroine is kidnapped. However, I have to say when the hero finds her and she mets up with her brother again, I was crying my eyes out. The OPG (grand-ma) was too funny and I loved all the characters in this book. Even his twin brothers. I will be looking out for more books from this author in the future but I am not sure I will be reading Lucky-Neil (Lan's brother, the heroine of this book) and Sara's story as I have a feeling I know what she is hiding and it's going to be a huge trigger for me. I enjoyed it and I would recommend this book to all those who like drama, action, alpha, and hot soul mates coming together finally stories. Keeper for me. Safety: it's safe from cheating the hero has been celibate for 4 years since he decided to make her his and the heroine did experiment with oral sex (college boyfriends 2) but she is technically a virgin as she was hoping deep down to give herself to the hero someday. No drama from OW/OM, no pushing and pulling once they get together they stay together. He uses condoms always has in the past. Except with the heroine as they both decide to have a family. They have known each other 9 years so it's not like they don't have an established relationship.
Btw; I am totally reading book 2 the author wrote to me and assured me it was NOT triggering! Got to love that. A personal assurance!!!
I'm not rating, just sharing what bothered me. If it wasn't for these things below, I would've enjoyed it so much more.
**I really dislike that not only did a younger version of Len overhear her brother and a girl talking about the menage they had with Dante, the Hero, but she also heard her brother asking Dante at a different point if they were doing it again or getting their own girl. Yes, he did threesomes with the brother of the girl he claims to have loved for nine years. At least he's been celibate for four prior to seeing her again. AND, of course they run into a woman that spent a night with him and Len has to deal with that. I hate Hero's past being so in your face.**
Love, family, and friendship…nothing is greater than loving and being loved. And for those you love, you are willing to sacrifice your very own happiness.
One More Time is a story of two souls whose love is stronger than the test of time and a separation where only prayer keeps you sane. There is romance, love, friendship, family, a strong heroine, an alpha male, humor, angst, suspense…S. Van Horne did a marvelous job with her debut novel. From her author’s note—explaining the reason behind One More Time—to my favorite part of the story, the BONUS CHAPTER, she captivated me and made me a fan. S. Van Horne is now on my list of 1-click authors, and I am anxiously waiting for book two in the series.
One More Time is the story of Len who has been in love with Dante pretty much all of her young life. Dante is grown up now, is a former Navy Seal and Len is a doctor and very sweet and sassy. There is a reason that brings these two young soon to be lovers together. The reason is spelled out and it is believable. I didn’t have to go back and re-read this story to see if I missed anything and I loved this book immediately from page 1. I loved Len’s friends who were a riot (so funny) and they were really good friends for her and to her while Dante’s buddies from the military where a solid team. There was a point when things went from a light tone to a darker tone and immediately that is when Len is kidnapped. I was on the edge of my seat, and things were dark for a few in the story. There were many twists and turns in this story, for a while it seemed like darkness would rule but light ruled and Dante and Len triumphed over the bad guy. This was a thrill a minute and the passion between Dane and Len was exciting and erotic. I loved everything about this book and I cannot wait for book 2 which is Len’s brother story Neil and Sara. There was something at the very end about what it may be about but nothing concrete. I cannot wait to see what happens. If you like drama, sex, action, thrillers, passion and HEA then you will love this book.
My Rating: 4. 6 stars ***** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
3.5 Stars There was definitely lots of drama in this book which I really loved but it also left a few unanswered questions which I didn’t. Len and Dante have known one another for years because Dante is friends with Len’s brother. The two have always had feelings for one another but neither is willing to admit it. Both Len and Dante are huge family people which I thought was great, usually in a read like this one family is great and the other leaves something to be desired, I like that this book had originality in that sense. When Len starts being stalked Dante steps in to protect her and their feelings are impossible to hide from one another. Though the story has a good flow once you get into it I found it a bit hard to get into at the beginning. It was a good book, especially for a debut and I look forward to seeing where the author takes book 2. Read and reviewed for United Indie Book Blog!
One More Time is full of suspense, drama and so much more. The passion Dante has for Len is unlike any other. The characters are all unique and well developed. I loved learning about each one of them, I think if I was to choose a fave it would be OPG lol she was the glue that kept them all together. Each turn of the page brought you more suspense and excitement, once you start, you're not gonna want to put this down. Now I just can't wait to see what the other characters in this series has in store for us. I think Im most excited for the twins, they seem like double trouble.
This is my third book in a row that has used the word "caveman". Not complaining. I think I just like having a little OTT alpha submersion. So, I've never read or heard of this author before but, I really liked her style. I hate couple angst. I don't know if I want to be with you-I like jumping to conclusions-I will allow months to go by without you crap. You know what I mean? All of the drama in One More Time was outside interference. Yay. This was juicy trope at it's best. I'll hide it bc it is a bit spoiler-ish but not to the point of screwing up the book.
I give this book 3.5 stars. I enjoyed the plot and storyline a lot. There were a few things that bothered me however. I understand why Dante waited so long to tell Len how he felt but for them to just jump right into everything threw me off. It reminded me of insta-love which I'm not a fan of. I know they've known each other for many years but it still struck me as off. I did enjoy all the twists and turns and would've liked to know if he did in fact kill those men who went missing. I did keep reading all the way through so that's a good sign because if I don't enjoy the book I'll stop reading completely. All in all not bad S. Van Horne.
I received this book from a Goodreads giveaway. I struggled with this book. I enjoyed the plot, but not how it was put together. I say this because of the way it was written. They were apart for many years and then all of a sudden they were getting married. Yet, before that they never actually had a relationship. I just never felt their connection; like i said i struggled with this book.

This book absolutely stole my heart. It was a great surprise and would recommend to anyone. Not only did it have real life situations and credible issues but it also had a wonderful love story about overcoming anything. Then their unique one more time saying was just adorable.
My feelings are all over the place after reading this, I'm not sure how I feel. I was pretty much drawn in from the very beginning. I thought it was a great story line and debut novel and though some parts felt a bit off for me, I really did enjoy it. Now I don't know if I read an unedited version, which is quite possible, but if not, there were quite a few mistakes and it started driving me crazy. Another thing that bugged me were the reactions to certain events. I don't want to give anything away, but it sort of felt like when you're watching a movie, and certain characters do something stupid and you start yelling at the screen, well that was me, but yelling at my kindle. I wanted to knock Len over the head a couple times. Some of her reactions made me want to scream at her and I felt the same about some of the reactions of some of the other characters. It was a little unbelievable at times. That said, after feeling that way about a scene, the next scene would come up and knock me on my a$$ and I'd be crying. That's why I said, I don't know how I feel after reading this. It was a roller coaster of emotions for me.
I thought the author did a great job with the supporting characters. I loved all of the sexy alpha males, even more so because I'm a sucker for military men...or ex in their case. The women were equally charming and feisty and I loved the little tidbit we get to read about Neil and Sara. I can't wait to read more about them because her story has me intrigued! Looking forward to reading about all the sexy men in this book! Keep 'em coming! Pun intended;) #B2BKristina
I loved this book be prepared for a roller coaster of emotions people I cried , laughed , swooned , got angry, fanned myself , and was shocked at some parts . You could fell the electric pool that Len and Dante from the very beginning and once the H is done fighting his attraction off all bets are off and he claims what is his the sexy times were off the charts HOT . Both characters are lovable with Len shes beautiful inside and out , loves her family and friends , is strong , protective , been in love with a sexy alpha , and she has a unique thing she says . Then we have Dante hes fierce , loyal , protective ,sexy , dirty talker ,loves his family and friends . I also loved the side characters I can't wait for their own books i cant wait for eagle and Julia book :) I know ill be reading more from this author . copy provided for honest review **************************************** hero = 10 heroine = 10 secondary characters = 10 chemistry = 10+ steam = 10 character development = 10 pacing = 10 pov= dual ending = HEA cover = sexy and beautiful author = new but will be reading more from this author
Len and Dante have been in each others lives, his friendship with her brother brought them together yet never did they confessed to each other their real feelings. Now they will declare but danger is lurking in the shadows and it is not something that will be taken lightly.
As I read page after page my heart hurt for Len and Dante. The love and loyalty they have for one another is unmeasurable. This two will make you forget they are fictional characters, and will make you wanna be there for them. Let’s not forget the mysterious and evil person that will make their lives a living hell, and that is something you don't want to miss.
I had my share of books with romance, suspense and danger but not all of them had me at the edge of my seat like this book. You do not want to miss this crazy good story.

One More Time by S Van Horne is a love story with a little suspense thrown in there. You're introduced to Len and Dante. They've known each other since they were kids. As they grow up so does their feelings. Deciding not to fight it anymore, the two admit their feelings for one another. Just as they're about to explore their new relationship, something happens that changes their whole lives.
This book was a pretty good read. The characters were great and I definitely had my favorites. Who doesn't like funny sexy men? * fans self* The beginning started off wonderfully but by the middle it sort of lost its way. At times I felt it was rushed or some parts needed more info. All that aside, I do think this is a great story. I look forward to reading the next book along with other books by this author. I give it 4 stars.

This is the first book I've read by this author and I'm hooked!!! Fabulous writing by a fabulous author.
Len is being stalked and she goes to Seal Security because her brother owns the company. She is a successful ER doctor and can't possibly know who's stalking her... she hasn't made any enemies. Her brother calls a big meeting and Ghost comes to the meeting not knowing that Len is the one in trouble.
Dante, aka Ghost, has had a thing for Len since she was 16, but somehow has managed to avoid her. But when she's threatened all bets are off. Everything seems to be going good, but at the big party for the Seals welcome home and start of their business it all comes crashing down. Will Dante and Len get their happily ever after or will forces keep them apart?
I highly recommend this book. Ms. Van Horne has a writing style that keeps me coming back for more.
Wow what an amazing book. Such a beautiful story. I loved every sentence of it. It was so well written and flowed nicely that I found it so easy to read. I adored the main characters Dante and Len. Their love for each other is beautiful. Their families share a great bond to. The storyline was intense and I found myself needing to know what happened. Whilst the chapters weren't cliffhangers as such, I had to know more. This is a love story between a young couple who face difficult challenges, but will their love pulls them through? I am so looking forward to book 2, coming later this year, which focuses on two other characters whom we met in this book.

This book had me hooked from the first chapter. I liked how she wrote about how close both characters were to their family's and how both family's did everything together. The love Len and Dante have for each other jumped off the pages. When Len's stocker stepped up his game I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to find out how thing would work out. The strength and love both characters needed to find their way back to each other was hart warming. A great love story, I can't wait to read more from this author.
What such a refreshing breath of fresh air this new author brings to the literary world. Excellent flow and an intense plot that leaves the reader desiring to read more and more. Hang on to your seats, folks, this is a kick-butt story filled with so any excellent elements and dynamics, it will succeed in challenging your borders of imagination and reality. Can't wait to see what future books this author has for us all in the future!
Really really good book! Can't believe this is a new author. This series is going to be fantastic. The start draws u in & makes u want to just read this story forever! Dante & Len's story was so much more than I expected. The was wonderful supporting characters from family to friends, you just can't believe this author is new. I am not so patiently waiting for the next book! This book made me wish to be apart of the family. This author is for sure a 1-click must!!!!
"One More Time" was a really fun book to book, with a great selection of characters, a story to keep you gripped, a few laughs, a few gasps, and a lot of wondering where the next twist is coming from. I did have some problems with typos ("your" instead of "you're", etc.), missing words, extra words, dodgy punctuation, and one particular sentence (in chapter 27, I think) that I just couldn't make sense of). Yes, I'd read more from S. Van Horne.
OMG! What a wild ride. This book has adventure as well as humor in it. I'm so glad that I got a chance to read this book. From the start S. Van Horne has your attention. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a lot of action in a book. You will fall in love with all the characters in this book. It will have you sitting on the edge of your seat one minute the next you will be laughing your butt off. I begged this author to read this book. S. Van Horne you have a fan of your writing.
This is a good debut by S Van Horne. Likable characters, hot alpha man, quirky heroine, OPG ( I'm down with OPG, yeah you know me! ), and swoon worthy pull out the BOB sex.
I am looking forward to book 2, and book 3, and book 4, etc...more alphas! More sex! More fun! Will need more batteries...
Five star rating for such an amazing book!!! Loved the story between Len and Dante. The heartbreak, pain of losing your loved one is so well expressed that it touches your heart. I have shed quite a few tears while reading this book!!! Can't wait for the next one
