Insurgents MC #7

Throttle's Seduction

Rate this book
Throttle, Road Captain of the Insurgents Motorcycle Club, likes his women willing, stacked, and no strings attached.

His life and needs are simple: riding his Harley, bedding as many women as can fit in his bed, and scorching his throat with whiskey. The tall, rugged outlaw is a magnet for women who love life on the wild and dangerous side. They know not to expect anything from the tattooed biker but sheer pleasure.

Life couldn’t be better.

Until he meets Kimber. The black-haired mechanic at Hawk’s bike shop. What the f@#k? In his world, the only thing a woman should do on a Harley is spread her pretty legs wide.

She is sassy-mouthed, aggravating, and not his type at all. And he doesn’t need any woman—let alone a chick in mechanic coveralls—messing with his head.

It’s a shame all he can think about is doing nasty things to her on his motorcycle.

Kimber Descourts has had to fight to be accepted in a man’s world and she is not a quitter. Always attracted to the bad boy biker, she has had her share of unfaithful, jerk boyfriends. Swearing off all bikers since her last boyfriend made her his punching bag, she’s content with working on Harleys, taking a few business classes, and being blissfully alone.

Then she meets Throttle.

He’s a cocky, chauvinistic bastard. Oh yeah… he’s also incredibly handsome, built, and sexy as all hell. He’s exactly her type. She should run far away from him, but her body wants him in the worst way.

They say opposites attract, but when a hardened biker and a tough free-spirit ignite, their world combusts. Will their differences bring them together or pull them apart?

In the midst of Throttle and Kimber’s tug of war, a Peeping Tom has been creeping around Pinewood Springs watching ladies behind the shadows of the night. He spots Kimber Descourts and is drawn to her. And he’s beginning to grow bored of just watching….

Can Kimber put her pride aside and ask for Throttle’s help? Is Throttle ready to let the feisty mechanic melt his icy heart?

The Insurgents MC series are standalone romance novels. This is Throttle and Kimber’s love story. This book contains violence, sexual assault (not graphic), strong language, and steamy/graphic sexual scenes. It describes the life and actions of an outlaw motorcycle club. If any of these issues offend you or are triggers, please do not read the book. HEA. No cliffhangers! The book is intended for readers over the age of 18.

Chiah Wilder writes about rough, sexy men who know how to treat their women.

Always a lover of books, she began writing at a young age and continued through college with collections of short stories. Figuring she had to grow up and get a “real” job, her writing was placed on the back burner.

Her love of reading has always been center front in her life. Chiah’s love of bad boys both in and out of fiction has inspired her books. She loves an alpha male whose softer side is brought out by a passionate, spirited woman. In fiction there are no rules or boundaries, and fantasies can go as far as the characters want to take them. Steamy, romances with tough, sexy bad boys are her guilty pleasure along with brownies, cheddar cheese, and movie marathons.

2.5 Meh

This one wasn't as good as I hoped it would be. It was a bit boring, a bit predictable, a bit... disappointing. It wasn't bad, per say, I just expected a bit more.

Worth reading if you're curious about these characters and know the series, but other than that, well, you should maybe start with the first books in this series, they were a bit better.

In the first part of the book I was annoyed by the way the hero wasn't willing to pursue the heroine but eventually he came around and was much better. Overall, I liked the story and didn't really have any issues with the fact I haven't read all the books in the series.

This series continues to improve and this book was a mixture of the standard biker story and a crime whodunit.

Throttle was an arrogant, misogynistic manwhore in the beginning of the book. He was dead set against a woman (Kimber) being a motorcycle in Hawk's bike repair shop. For her part, Kimber was sick of bikers and had no intention of putting up with crap from Throttle. In spite of all that, they gave a magnetic physical attraction... much to their mutual consternation.

On the side is the drama of a peeping tom who begins to break into homes to steal womens' lingerie and then quickly turns into a rapist serial killer, and of course Kimber is one of his targets.

As if this wasn't enough, there is a brawl and shooting at a biker meet in Denver and a beat-down of a renegade MC that isn't respecting the Insurgents and their affiliate club's territory. (That is sort of a repeat of the 'actual' current biker war in the state of Texas with the Bandidos MC demanding tribute from any club wanting to wear the Texas rocker on their kuttes.)

The story sucks you right in... you don't know what stupid thing Throttle will say next. He is truly gobsmacked by Kimber. The action was pretty good. The identity of the serial rapist was not easily guessed.

The editing / proofreading was good. I remember only a couple of typos.

I gave it 4 stars because there was a little too much repetition. Not in the league of bodice-ripper writers, but it became irritating. Don't explain the situation / backstory more than twice. After that it looks like too little material chasing too many required pages.

This is the first time I have read any of this authors work, and I am seriously questioning what the hell is wrong with me, now I am going to go on a mad 1-click spree in order to get the rest of these fabulous books. I adore MC stories, and my word, this one did not disappoint.
This is Throttle’s story, who is the sexy, dirty mouthed, club chaser, and Kimber, a sexy female with a sassy mouth, who works as a mechanic in a man’s world, in Hawks shop. These two are determined that they are wrong for each other, but there is no denying the sparks, and steaming hot attraction between the.
I you are a fan of gritty, smoking hot, raw, MC reads, then for goodness sake, do not miss out on this series. This author weaves a tale in such a way, that the reader is intrigued and enthralled from the very beginning. Fantastic job Chiah, and you have a new fan, and I will be recommending your work to all in the future!

Throttle, at the beginning, is a sexist, arrogant man who has real problems with a woman motorcycle mechanic. He's the usual club man-ho determined to live the life of ride, drink and screw all of the available women chasing after him. Kimber is an independent woman, former ol'lady to a rival MC club member who she left behind because of abuse. She's determined not to go back to the MC life. She's strong, stubborn, has a sassy mouth but it's not OTT. Throttle can't figure out why he keeps going back to the MC shop, owned by the club, just to get a look at her. The shift in Throttle from a sexist man-ho to a devoted partner was heart warming. There's danger and a little suspense also. No cheating. I've read all of the books in this series and I have to say this one is the best so far. The author's writing continues to improve. This book can be read as a stand alone without reading the other books in the series.

When Throttle, Road Captain of the Insurgents MC gets asked to check on a bike for his president, he cannot believe his eyes when he finds out the mechanic is a woman. Kimber is used to being overlooked and talked down to by men, so when Throttle gives her attitude she gives it right back. Throttle goes from being annoyed to attracted to Kimber, he needs to work her out of his system but Kimber is not like the other easy women he is used to. Kimber doesn't trust, her ex did a number on her and that number taught her not to trust bikers again.

Kimber and Throttle fall into a new type of relationship, but Kimber isn't sure if Throttle is on the same page and Throttle is getting used to the idea of being in a relationship.

Excellent. I liked Throttle and Kimber together, I think that they had good chemistry and both were hedgy on their feelings. Insurgents MC continues to be an entertaining series that gets better with each book. High praise.

Some Trigger Warnings
***Chiah Wilder does it again*** I loved this book. It started off and I was sick when I read it. I have the other books in the series and I never thought I would get to read about Throttle. In this book you get to hear a bit about some of the other Insurgents. I like this from begining to end. This one though kept m e on the edge of my seat to see what was next.

I loved how Throttle could get put in his place by a woman. He has had his fair share of “club bunnies,” which they ALL call easy. He loves them, well because it’s easy. They are there and willing, no questions asked. He then meets Kimber. I liked seeing Throttle this man that I would have never thought would want to be with one person be like he was. I loved how he had a soft said to the gruff exterior and the only one who saw it fully was Kimber. Kimber fit well into the Insurgent’s world. She knew her place and how it worked. I loved how Throttle would take up for her.

I rated this lower because of the way the members treated Kimber, well ALL bitches it seems. I truly hated these guys and found the way they spoke to and treated the women they love (sarcasm) made it difficult to enjoy this book. Respect goes both ways. Don’t ask me to cook if I’m not allowed to stay and party with you. Kimber was smart, strong and fun it’s sad these Neanderthal asses think women are beneath them...

Throttle’s Seduction is book 7 in the Insurgent’s MC series by Chiah Wilder. The book focuses on the characters Throttle, the Road Captain of the Insurgents MC and Kimber a feisty mechanic that knows her own mind. There is definitely an instant attraction between the two, but when Throttle opens his mouth, his chauvinistic side seems to come out instantaneously which puts up Kimber’s back!

There is a lot of too and fro in the book, especially with how Throttle feels and at times he is quite negative about Kimber’s job as well as women in general which gets a little bit repetitive. Knowing that Kimber doesn’t know how the MC works and get treat horribly for asking questions and sticking up for herself was at time uncomfortable and it felt like it took a little while for the characters to get into their groove in comparison to previous books in the series.

There is still a lot of chemistry, sexy scenes and scenes between other members of the MC in this book and it hasn’t put me off reading any more of the series. This one just wasn’t one of my favourites!

Superb intensity

5 stars for this kick-butt storyline!
This was a gritty & fabulous mystery/romantic suspense that has the reader gripping the edges of their seats. Fast paced, incredible characters, some well written dark undercurrents, deviant behavior & the author kept me guessing who the Peeping Tom/Lingerie Bandit was all the way to the end & even that was a surprise!
Throttle was an entertaining character to read (& watch him grow into a better person); Kimber, was a delightful change in lead female characters; explosive chemistry.
Another great story in this biker series!

~~~~~~~~~~Julie's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~
Throttle is all man and he thinks a woman’s place is just that. When he meets Kimber, he is pissed that she is working at the clubs garage. He can’t stand it. While is thinks it’s wrong, he simply can’t get her off his mind. Kimber has worked dam hard to fit into a mans world. When danger comes into her world, she doesn’t want help but she knows she needs it. Can she open herself up for Throttle? Will he keeps her safe? This book was sweet and spicy all rolled into one. A total alpha male and a sassy woman makes for one awesome read.
Man's work
Kimber is one of the best mechanics at Hawk's shop. But working in a profession mainly dominated by men is tough. So she has to be tough as nails and keep herself under control at all times. Leaving a bad relationship and knowing about the MC world helps her keep her edge, until she meets Throttle. The man is infuriating with his male ego. He doesn't think she should be doing a man's job. Kimber not only proves she can do what any man can do but she captures his attention in the process. The sexual tension between them is off the charts.
This book had so much potential. It started with a strong FMC who knows what she wants and needs. MMC was annoying & manwhore but expected in such books. What annoys me is that she says multiple times that she knows very well how biker world works & yet she put her foot in her mouth. Then she back paddles fast to “respect brotherhood” and icing in the cake MMC still gives her sh!t although she apologized. Anf i hated him & all of them cz she didnt have to apologize AT ALL!
I just love this series. Cant wait til i start the next book
Oh my its kinda funny that these bike can't understand that a woman can fix a bike as good or better than them. Throttle is fight himself on like/lusting after a woman mechanic. But Kimber is fighting herself because she don't want another bikers. It is fun to read where they are fight something that is going to happen
The guys in this MC are pretty awful until they fall for their lady. They are all over-sexed, massive misogynists who only view women as vessels for their pleasure. They are so rude and crude it’s hard to believe they can ever change into faithful, respectful partners. I can’t imagine being happy living in the Insurgents environment, even if you fall for one of these guys. At least in this one, Kimber is a stronger heroine and swears she’ll never fall for another biker… until she does. 🙄
Throttle he was one of the Insurgents who never wanted to settle down free easy women on tap, that is maybe till he meets Kimber, but she's been in his world before with another MC so will it just be a fun time for the two of them or more?
than on top of everything else who is the lingerie bandit hurting abusing killing women?
that you will have to find out . Hot, sexy , hot.
Wow
This book was so good. I love how Kimber didn’t put up with throttles attitude. Thought is funny how the one person who talked smack about all the guys falling in love and he’s never gonna have an old lady got bit by a women who rides a Harley and works on them , love it. So much action, drama and hot sex! Great book
China did it again!
I have enjoyed reading about each brother in the MC. Kimber and Throttle's story did not let me down. This book was full of fun and action. I like that the women are soft but not pushovers. Just when I thought I had it all figured out the story took another twist! I love the cover. Well, back the the clubhouse I go to see what Rock is getting into!
Mc romance told in third person perspective, pacing is slow, heat rating is 7/10.
I've read alot of this authors books and really enjoyed them and others have been OK but this book is really slow and boring with no substance to the characters. I DNF I got to 58% and I just couldn't go any further.
Never judge a book by its cover.
I have truly been enjoying the Insurgents MC romance series. But this one about Kimber and Throttle truly kept me on the edge of my seat. I honestly did not know what was going to happen next, but it was amazing.
WOW I always love it when the H is an ass but Throttle took it too far. That is the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars; Kimber was great and the way she wouldn’t back down helped keep the story going.
Good flow, interesting characters and the side story with the “ Lingerie Bandit” was great.
Love This Author!
This was a great book! I love how these men just act so "Man Stupid". These women slip in under their radar and lay them flat. Until their women are in trouble then they pound flesh and show everyone what is theirs.
Sweet MC read
Throttle and Kimber were a great match together. Once he got over himself.
This is the only one in the series I have read and I would be worried there are some similarities with other books in the series.
Kimber's rage at being called bitch is so justified.
