Exploring Shakespeare: Romeo and Juliet: Approaches and Activities

Rate this book
Designed to accompany the hugely successful Oxford School Shakespeare series, the Exploring Shakespeare series aims to equip Key Stage 3 pupils with a good knowledge of each play, through active and text-based approaches. Each book is split into three (a) with notes on active approaches to the play, and `ways in' for teachers bringing students to the play for the first time (b) the scene-by-scene activities on the text (c) the play as a whole, focusing on plot, characters, and themes. All activities stress an active engagement with the text, and will lead to both written and spoken/drama outcomes. The wide range of tasks will stretch students of all abilities, while ensuring that students enjoy their first encounter with Shakespeare.
