Much better writing than the junior novelization of the first film! However, I would still argue that this is NOT a true “junior” novelization as there’s some minor swearing, serious brutality, and plenty of horror elements (pretty much just as they appear in the film). If you would be comfortable with your child/teen seeing the movie, then this book would be fine, otherwise you might want to wait until they’re a bit older. Overall, the book is a scene-for-scene retelling of the film, with some additional information that I would guess was part of the original script, but cut from the final film due to time constraints.

«Men moʻmiyolardan naftaratlanaman!»
Rik OʻKonnel

Ilk bora kinosini koʻrganimda voqealar rivoji hamda undan olish mumkin boʻlgan xulosani tushunmagan edim. Kitobi menga koʻp narsani tushuntirdi.

Insonlarning bir-biriga boʻlgan muhabbati, hurmati vaqt sinovidan oʻtdi, deymiz. Ammo xudbinlik, faqat oʻzini oʻylash xislatlari hech qachon insonga begona boʻlmagan va boʻlmaydi ham. Doʻstlik, oʻzaro tushunish va tan ola bilish fazilatlari ham insonning yutugʻi hisoblanadi. Jamoaviy ishlay olish biz oʻqiydigan kitoblarda (kinolarda ham) koʻp uchraydi.

Rik OʻKonnel baxtli inson, uning doʻstlari, sevimli rafiqasi va aqlli oʻgʻli bor. Ular uchun jonini berishga ham tayyor. Insoniylik xislatlari hamisha eng qadimiy sehr-jodudan ham gʻalaba qozonib kelgan.

Bu kitobdan olgan xulosam, hammasi oʻzingga bogʻliq va taqdirga bitilgani boʻladi.

“Another man suddenly appeared at the door. Unlike the men in red turbans, he wore all black with a black cape around his shoulders. His face was handsome, carved by desert winds. All three henchmen gasped at once. “Medjai!” 5 stars. Although be warned, there’s a weird scalping subplot not in the film thank god. 4 stars.

I recommend, that this book should be read by an adult.
This book is about a mummy who is woke in Egypt and wants to rule the world killing all the people and making their own mummy gang!. On the other hand a normal citizen who knows Egyptian language tries to save the world by fighting this mummy and it's gang. They must protect and return the symbol of mummy "The Scorpion" back to the pyramids before it kills every human on earth.

aaand I read this too. Urgh. A little disappointed, but this was better than the other one. I'd still rather watch the movie.
