I'm getting into this series now, reminds me a lot of the Alex Rider and Jason Steed series, Just enough technical detail to be informative and credible, and plenty of plot to keep the hero busy. It had read in three sittings I will be recommending to teen readers at my school. Looking forward to episode

In Bodyguard: Hostage, Conner finds he must prove himself again as the President's daughter, Alicia is captured and taken hostage by an extremist Middle Eastern group who wants the President to release many of their countrymen.
As Alicia's feelings for Conner grow, when she is attacked, she discovers that Conner has been assigned to her. In her hurt and anger, she leaves the White House undetected and roams aimlessly through Washington until a series of bomb strikes set off as a distraction, give terrorists enough time to find Alicia and kidnap her. Conner is the only one who realizes that Alicia is missing from the White House and tracks her down just in time to be kidnapped with her.
This was another pulse-pounding, action-packed adventure featuring Conner Reeves and his organization called Guardian, a group of teenage bodyguards hired to shadow young celebrities. Although the bombing scenario is a little over the top, the story remains an entertaining, quick read.

I might be in the minority, but I would rather Connor actually have taken a blade to the side, then underwent an unrealistically speedy recovery in the beginning simply because that's what I was expecting at the end of the last book! I felt a little cheated. But otherwise, this was a great story and fantastic continuation of Bodyguard #1. Lots of action. Connor is a great character.
This contains one or two instances of mild profanity and some martial arts/terrorism violence, but nothing too gory or graphic. I wouldn't have any problem recommending it to younger teens as well as older teens. This isn't a religious book, but there are Christian elements.

This was a pretty good continuation of book 1. I am a fan of this series already. The story, action, imagery and character interactions and development left me on the edge of my seat, and there are some real world applications to this book.
There is so much good about Book 2: Hostage, and the characters are put to the test as the main character faces challenges that target his emotional, physical and mental growth.
Such a great follow up to Book 1: Recruit, and if you haven’t checked out that book too, do it.

May 19, 2021This book picks up right where the other book ended. Even though Connor and Alecia are in a precarious situation Connor manages to keep his cool. Using his training he thinks tactfully about how to get them out of the situation even though the odds are stacked against them. This book was creative an action packed! I think that anyone who enjoys books about teenage spies would love this.

The story started off right where the first book ended. I thought this book was exciting and full of fun twists. If you enjoy Bourne movies then you might enjoy this book- series. It would be a good choice for boys 10-14. Pretty clean adventure series with some fun spy tech stuff.

Great wrap up from book one. Tremendous action will appeal to kids. The president’s daughter still makes me crazy. Her flippant attitude about her security is a great plot device to move things along but it was infuriating. Hints at larger mystery I could see connecting future books with this one.

This book is a continuation of the first one. It is full of heart pounding and heart stopping action. In this second part of the series Alicia and Connor are kidnapped by a terrorist group. Connor has to keep his word about him if they are to survive e and escape. Excellent series!

I would read this book a million times over. I loved the danger. I loved the suspense. I loved the way it all ended happily in the end. But I'm kinda mad that it ended just like that. Ugh, why did it have to end like that. But at least I can look forward to the third book.
