Baba Yaga Saga #2

How To Date A Dragon

Rate this book
There were rules for dating dragons. The most important of all? Don’t get burned.

Instead of the Jezibaba, in the last eight years she’s become the Jeziblahblah. Dating her sexy academic dragon should have keep her mentally sharp, not caused her to drop all caution just because he looked good naked. She was getting soft. There was no doubt about it. When a young troublemaking dragon named Thane starts causing problems for Carol and HIldy, she’s the only one concerned.

She wasn’t the mothering type—no argument—but she was still their protector. Her instincts were flashing warning signs about the young dragon and she was not going to ignore them no matter how innocent Damien believed he was. She no longer had the luxury of pretending she’d found a perfect love. Instead it was time to face reality. She’d dated a hot dragon and gotten burned for giving him her heart.

With Thane still free to cause trouble, and Damien still not believing he was, her loyalty the disloyal dragon might end up being the worst mistake she’s ever made in her life.

USA Today Bestselling Author

I am an active dreamer and find writing to be the best way to use my creativity. Needing to satisfy both sides of my brain, I have become a cross-genre author of contemporary, romantic comedy, fantasy, science fiction, and paranormal romances.

I feel blessed that my books appear on bestseller lists for humor, romantic comedy, space opera, and more. I crave laughter from all my readers and focus my attention on making that happen as often as possible.

I love to hear from anyone who has read my books. Each reader is a hero or heroine to me. I am inspired by you.

This was so much better than the first book. I loved it. All the fantasy and witches and elves and dragons, Zenos is pretty cool. I could finally enjoy the girls more. Hildy and Carol are now teenagers, witchy teenagers, deadly, hilarious combination :D cannot wait for the last book to see how this ends. Even though I know how it ends kind of because of the original series, by the way, I love the little moments when people from the original serie makes and appearance :) Totally worth it read.

Donna McDonald continues her hilarious series with How To Date A Dragon (Baba Yaga Saga #2). If you need a smile or a laugh then this is the book and series for you.

Now Jezibaba’s proteges are almost grown, ready for their next step in training. However, like most teenagers their minds are on boys, boys, boys, but then so is Jezibaba’s with her dragon boyfriend Damien. In this case, there is magic, mayhem, mix-ups and those pesky murder attempts on Carol and Hildy. Life is not easy for the Jezibaba. Like real life sometimes you just have to laugh, while also doing your best to guide and protect those in your care.

I read the books out of order which worked okay but would suggest as I did in an earlier review to read them in order.

The publisher/author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Magic and Mayhem: How To Date A Dragon (Kindle Worlds Novella) (Baba Yaga Saga Book 2)
by Donna McDonald

This is the second book of the Baba Yaga Saga within Robyn Peterman's Magic and Mayhem Kindle World and it does not disappoint.

They say laughter is good for the soul....well, my soul runneth over!

It is said this book can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading book one first.

Can't wait to read more about the Baba Yaga's.

It's been eight years since and Jezibaba has become a little complacent in her job. Now it's time for the girls to graduate and began some intense training. Now they have to find a teacher other than someone from the council.
The girls are more worried about boys and losing their virginity. But all that changes wheb someone is trying to kill them again. The new enemy is much closer to home than they know.
I'm really loving this series. It's really a fun read.

Growing Pains

It seems love is in the air and the girls are wondering what to do about it. The death attempts are still coming and it's time for them to get a new teacher.

Great story

Loved how the story mirrored real life in that if your man does not believe you his trust is suspect.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Whoa. Book 2 is pretty action packed, loaded with “good” and some slimy magicals, but it is fun to see the Chosen Ones growing up. (We met them in Book 1. It’s not necessary to read book one however book two would make much more sense, and be more enjoyable, at least it is to me.) The Baba Yagas are now approaching their dedication ceremony and are being protected and trained by the Jezibaba and her…let’s call ‘em crew! I can’t do the story justice but suffice to say there is a lot of action, betrayal, magic, laugh-out-loud dialogue, and fun. Watching Carole and Hildy growing into their destiny and the challenges they will face every day makes it a great read. The Jezibaba and Damien have some pretty funny dialogue, along with some of the other characters that will make you wonder how they ever get any training done. So you have magic, intrigue, mayhem, pestilence of sorts, a love story, betrayal, loyalty and some key information revealed in this book – even though it is a longer story, I zipped right thru it because I couldn’t wait to see what the next chapter would say. I like these stories and enjoy suspending my own belief, even if it is just for a little while.

The two chosen ones are getting older and feeling the pangs of puberty. The Jezibaba is facing her own inner turmoils with the changes she is enduring as well. Blend this all in with this writers own brand of snarky humor and you have book two of this awesome tale! Absolutely love the girls exploration of their supposed dragon suitor. I found this book highly entertaining! Curl up with this delightful read that is sure to keep a smile on your face. This voluntary review is based against a review copy.

I have enjoyed the Magic & Mayhem series starting with those written by Robin Peterman. Donna McDonald is again giving readers an insight into what happened before Robin's Story. Witches Carol, Hildy and the Jezibaba along with Dragons Thane and Damien are delightful and have personality rating of HOT!! Copy supplied by author for an honest review.

Busy

Book 2 is few years down the road. That doesn't seem to have changed things much. The girls are older, boys are present, somebodies still want them all dead. The battles and embraces along with the wit and laughter keep you wanting to read with out stopping. SO. ON TO BOOK 3.

Excellent

I am enjoying this kindle worlds mini series. Baba Yaga Carol is one of my favorite Magic and Mayhem characters, so a series about her youth has been right up my alley. This was fun to read, very cute, funny in places and the characters are marvelous. I'm ready for a spinoff series about Elenora and Damien!

Loved it just as much as book one

Another great look into Carol and Hildy's lives as they were growing up. Wonderful just like book one and fits so well in Roby's world. I love getting more of their stories. PS loved seeing Chuck in this one.

This book was funny and a quick read. I really enjoy learning more and Carol & Hildy's lifes prior to their time in Robyn Peterman's books. So this Kindle World of Magic & Mayhem is a favorite of mine. Especially, Donna McDonald's contribution of the back story of the girls life before Baba Yaga.
