I close my eyes, reveling in his words. Is this what people search for their entire lives? I’ve never felt so complete and wanted. My heart throbs to life whenever I look at him.
MAD SEA is a very quick sweet and steamy read. I would categorize this as an erotic fantasy and oh so delicious!! K. Webster is such a versatile author. She can’t be pigeonholed into one set genre. I really have enjoyed all of the books I've read by her and she’s on my “Go To Authors” list.
The author warns us straight from the beginning that there is insta-love in this story, and I mean how could there not be when the length of the book is so short. Even though it’s a super quick read, there is plenty of panty melting steam to get a reader going!! Who would ever have thought that mermaids could be so damn HOT???!!!!!
Madden Finn is President of a local MC who runs on the wrong side of the tracks. He’s loyal to his club but he likes to have his privacy as well. He finds plenty of solace at his beach house and during his late night swims in the ocean. Madden has also been crushing on a beautiful waitress that he stalks every Friday night at a local frozen yogurt shop. Hali Morgan intrigues Madden and he’s so consumed by his infatuation with her, he’d do just about anything to be with Hali.
Finally, after a few months of stalking her, Madden and Hali end up having a conversation which turns into a date. They hit it off instantaneously. Both feel such a strong pull towards each other. It’s as if these two were destined to be soul mates.
They have some pretty amazing sex very early into their relationship and well, let’s just say I am pretty sure that many a reader will be panting over those scenes!! Madden and Hali both have secrets from their past that they are afraid to share. Will these secrets destroy their relationship before it even gets started or will they end up bringing the two even closer together??
If you can suspend belief for a couple of hours and get lost in a fun and steamy fantasy, you should definitely give this one a try!!

What a cute and sexy short story! I really enjoyed it. It reminded me a bit of Alexa Riley books, so that is always a big plus in my book. I also never expected this author to write a lighter story and I'm happy she did it. It's a PNR book about mermaids and I have to say that I don't ofter read stories about these wonderful and yet mysterious creatures. A pleasand surprise for sure! As for the plot, what can I say... There is some but don't expect too much depth, since this is a super short story. I'm glad we got to see some action but I wished we'd get to know the characters and their backgrounds more, especially the gangs. But all in all, this is a story about love and how you can find in the most unexpected ways. A great read!

It's not that often you read a fantastical story about a biker and a mermaid and roll with it, like it's an everyday occurrence. But somehow K. Webster managed to create this spicy little read as the perfect little escape from reality!
MC President Madden Finn can hardly understand his own fascination with a girl who's been serving him FroYo every Sunday. If the club got wind of this, he'd be handing them his balls in a purse.
"Three fucking months. I’m pussy whipped by a register girl who doesn’t even know my name."
Hali Morgan is not immune to the big rugged man who appears every Sunday. But sometimes a girl has to take the reigns before the badass biker convinces himself that its one sided.
"Ask in the next five seconds, and the answer will be yes. Ask me after, and it will be no."
What starts as a simple courtship, quickly becomes much deeper and entwined. As both Madden and Hali are guarding their own secrets, neither yet understand the 'invisible bond' they share. And there's no stopping the magic once they do.
"Life always has a plan. You may think you can run from it. Outsmart it. Outplay it. But in the end, it’s going to find you."

This book combines some of my favorite themes:
-short length smuttiness
-alpha male, obsessed stalker, deeply in love with his lady
-a motorcycle club where our hero is top dog and president
-a innocent girl just waiting for the right guy, even if her right guy sells drugs and kills
-paranormal romance with an interesting not very common subject: mermaids
It is the first story I read by this author and I know it is not her most well recognized story.
I am looking forward to read some of her long length books, because if this book is just a typical, representative taste I want more!

i was gonna give it 2 stars bc the characters were kinda dry but i have to add another one since they managed to fuck in mermaid form. y'all don't know how it was stressing me out thinking they weren't gonna
also personally, i liked steffan (the obsessive *coughs* abusive roommate) better than the hero. i don't know why i admit shit like that out loud cause it's really not a good look but..... whatever he was crazy and i liked it 🤷🏽♀️

Previously I've only really jumped on the dark reads of this authors, BUT I fell in love with this cover and just had to stalk the ass off this book. It's not something I would normally jump on but anything from this author and I just gots to have!!
The main focus of the story surrounds 'Madden' a dangerous, President of a notorious biker gang, who frequents a frozen yoghurt stand frequently each Sunday like a stalker just to get a glimpse of Hali Elaine Morgan who works the counter, many moons later and he gets the courage to ask her out on a date, a date like no other, the pace is fast due to it being only a short read, it is insta love, but that doesn't stop any of those feels occurring as you read it.

Madden Finn is more than meets the eye, he's got a secret that I never saw coming, but then so does Hali.
Will their secrets destroy them or will it bond them even more?
This isn't my normal kind of read but hey mention anything BIKERS and I'm on that in a flash!! Add in all the unique aspects to this story and it just added to the whole love I had for this story. Even though it states it's insta love for me it didn't feel like it, he stalked her for 3 whole months, liked her from afar, until finally he gets up his courage to ask her out, then the story just progresses naturally.

Well this was just what I need it, a sweet sexy quick read with a pretty interesting concept. I think a better word for this book was cool, because I've never read about such a unique motorcycle club prez with an obsession for froyo and a passion for his sea angel. Enjoyable read. ❤️

So I think K. Webster must think that I only love to read her dark reads but deep deep down I know she knows I’m a sucker for her sweet reads too. And fyi, Kristi does write sweet happily ever after lovey dovey romance...shocking I know!!! LOL.

NO SPOILERS HERE! Just an awesome story!
This was an amazing story about a badass biker merman!
Yeah I said MERMAN!
This awesome half human called Madden is obsessed with Froyo and a special girl Hali who serves it to him.
A Pink Pelican candy concoction no less!
LOVED IT!
He feels a connection to her that he finds undeniable and it compels him to share everything with her.
No matter the consequences!
He will have her and create a special place for them both to share.
However, what he did not plan for was her past coming after her and her secrets coming to the surface. Can they face these challenges and come out victorious? Or will the prove to be too much for either of them?
Read it and find out for yourself!
This is a keeper and a perfect short story and I am so glad I read it.

Well, this is as close to an enjoyable paranormal book that I'm gonna get! Reason being; it was super short, easy to follow, not heavy on any intricate PNR details and... mermaids, people, mermaids!
I absolutely adored the beginning of the story, but as it progressed; my interest started to wane. Maybe squeezing such a fantastically interesting premise into such a short story, took away all the great potential this book could have had, and due to everything going at Insta speed, it made the storyline a little too eye-rolly for me. I guess it takes some superhuman, mad skills to pull off a 5 star Insta novella, but hats off to the author for still producing an entertaining, enjoyable read :)
Aside from all of that; I am currently on a binge mission for cheese and smut, and that was what I got in this book, so I'm content. Yay for mermaid smut! *holla*

Who would have thought to make a badass biker a merman?? This was a good, quick read. I love how obsessed the hero was with the heroine. I realize this was a novella from a previous collection but it would have gained another star from me if things were fleshed out more. The "drama" moves very quickly and I wanted just a bit "more". But overall, it enjoyed it.

I realize this was a novella from a previous collection but it would have gained another star from me if things were fleshed out more. The "drama" moves very quickly and I wanted just a bit "more". But overall, it enjoyed it.

Because this is by K. Webster, I was expecting something dark, violent, and extremely erotic. But I was completely wrong. It's still scorching hot, but Mad Sea is definitely one of her tamer stories. And I still loved everything about this novella.
Madden is a tough guy. He is a leader of a motorcycle group that deals in drugs, weapons, and other crimes. Everyone thinks he's fearless and ruthless, but underneath it all he has a soft spot.
Hali works in an ice cream shop. She notices Madden coming into the store often. When she agrees on a date, she loves how he makes her feel normal. But there are some serious secrets that they have to overcome.
Although this is a novella, the story feels complete from the beginning to end. K. Webster has tremendous writing skills to give readers this sense of wholeness in only a few chapters.

When I first read the blurb, I thought "merman biker, seriously? " It just isn't done, right?
Mad is a badass biker. He is into all the bad stuff those bikers get into. He is rough around the edges. That is except on Sunday's when be goes for frozen yogurt to see the woman he yearns for. That day he eats his yogurt and watches Hali.
Hali is virtually alone in the world. She has fled her family because she wanted to live her life her own way. She knows Mad comes on Sunday to see her, and yet he doesn't say anything to her. I love that she decides to approach him.
I thought this was a cute little story. It had a great story for such a short length.

I still liked it but there were some things that stuck me as a bit choppy so I amended my rating to 4 stars. The whole creepy relationship Hali has with her roommate really bugged me this time around. I didn't get why she was so compliant, even knowing that he was overstepping the boundaries with her. I really wanted her to have more of a back bone when it came to him. I still loved Mad, he was a Hero that was 100% devoted and in love with his h :)

This novella is uber short and straight to the point. It touched a bit on MC and mermaid and provide a little twist. I know as a novella things are gonna move fast and might be lack of some depth. I was actually looking for some really good sex scenes and especially with a mermaid. Hot sex doesn't need a lot of words, mind you. Well... the mermaid sex was interesting, but just a tad too short. Even the human sex was too brief to satisfy my inner perve. So overall, Mad Sea is just an okay read for me. Appreciate the twist at the end though, I like how the author connect bother the MC business to the mermaid politics. If this was rewrite as a full length, it would have been a much better read.

Well, I just had my Mer cherry popped and I'm not sure I liked it.
It felt like this was two different books mashed together. The badass drug dealing hardman biker and the sweet mushy pink yoghurt eating merman. It was okay, different, but also a bit weird, especially that scene in the ocean when they do that thing with their weird things, it almost felt wrong to read about it, like when two dogs go at it and you don't know where the hell to look.

What a great and fun read! I have never read a story about Mermaids and Mermen before so this was definitely unique!
I loved the characters and adored how alpha the H was :) The story itself was quite short but the author managed to fill so much plot into it! Definitely a page turner, I recommend to anyone who wants a quick, sweet, and hot read.

*Received an ARC of this book for an honest review*
This was the first book I've read by K. Webster and I now currently classify myself as bat shit crazy for not having read any of her other books!!! I completely fell head over heels for this short but incredibly sweet and sexy love story!!! At first, when I read in her side note about this being a story about insta-love, I'm not gonna lie I was a little bit hesitant. I usually shy away from insta love story lines because they leave me with a serious case of eye rolling. THIS book.... has NONE of that!! This isn't traditional insta-love so PLEASE don't let that deter you from scooping up this book!!
I mean yes.... does the story start off with instant attraction and their connection just happens? Yes. But that's because there is SO MUCH depth and back story incorporated into the beginning of the book, which just goes to show how incredibly talented K. Webster is!! How she allows us to understand how Hali and Maddens story came to be in like 3 chapters was just an amazing thing to read, and made me forget about the whole "insta-love" factor. I really feel like I'm rambling.. but my point is... DON'T let the insta love be the reason you don't want to read this book!!
Now to the best part of this whole novella...... MERMAIDS!!!!!!!!!! A-FREAKING-MAZING!!! Seriously brought me back to my childhood fantasy of becoming Ariel and finding my Prince Charming!! And HOLY HELL is Madden Finn ever an alpha biker prince!! So FREAKING adorable how he wanted to maintain his biker badassery appearance but was just a softy at heart!!! Honestly the whole fantasy aspect of a mermaid world beneath the sea was just a wholly wonderful experience to read and was completely different and refreshing!!! Hands down an amazing Novella that I hope she one day makes into a full fledged series!! 5 freaking stars!!!

3,5 Sweet Stars.
This sweet little novella tells the story about how Madden fell in love with Hali from afar and how for weeks he watched her until she finally noticed him. From the moment he gets her in his bike until they fall in love, it’s not a long journey, but it’s not going to be an easy one.
This was a (very) quick and short reading, but a sweet one nonetheless. Despite the few steamy scenes there was a very YA feeling to it, so if don’t like that type of books you should take that into consideration. It was my first PNR about mermaids and despite being interesting, definitely not my favorite PNR type. Anyway, it was a sweet and quick to read novella, so if you’re a fan of these type of books, you should give it a chance.

My thoughts
This was a fantastical short story, fairy-tale with the lead male character being a bad-ass president of a outlawed Motorcycle Club...and who also happens to be a Merman.
This was a fun, short read.
The characters were great, and the ending had a classic HEA fairy-tale/fish-tale ending.
***Mad Sea was originally created as a story for an anthology. There were size constraints which explains the short length of this story. Because of this, the story is sweet, to the point, and all kinds of instalove. If you’re looking for a quick, lovable read that is quite outside your normal reading zone, then you’re going to love this.***

Mí humilde opinión:
Motociclistas rudos, tritones y sirenas es una mezcla emocionante!
Me gustan las sirenas y ese mundo de fantasía, no encuentro lectura de este tipo seguido así que luego de ver la portada que es súper linda no podía no leerlo. Además los motociclistas son otra de mis debilidades. ENTONCES... motociclistas y sirenas? Rara combinación, TENÍA que ver de qué iba!
La lectura fue ligera, dulce, predecible y con algo de acción. Fue agradable siendo de una autora que escribe libros algo más oscuros creo.
La parte sobrenatural me gustó mucho, si bien no se adentra en el mundo de las sirenas y tritones, la historia permaneció más sobre tierra donde Mad y Hali se conocen y comienzan a verse, me hubiera gustado saber más sobre ese lado fantástico.
No hay profundidad de nada siendo un cuento corto lo esperaba, solo cuenta una historia de amor de conexión instantánea sin mucho drama con algunos giros extraños pero sorprendentes y mucha dulzura.
La relación entre Mad y Hali era una combinación caliente, linda y me sorprendió que también fueran algo cursi. Me resultó mágico y romántico lo que sucedía entre las parejas enamoradas de su mundo, los delfines y los anillos de boda, toda esta parte me encantó.
En general es una lectura rápida y agradable con un toque fantástico.
