Irina
I don’t want commitment.
I’ve never been a fly by night romance girl. I used to look at men and picture wedded bliss till my ex proved me wrong and shattered my illusions. That’s why it’s so freaking unfair that just months after swearing off men I meet the hot and too determined Misha Novac. He’s perfect and every girl’s wet dream. And he won’t take me on my terms.
He wants the whole nine yards and I’m only offering three. He wants marriage and family dinners and I’m more for pizza after a long night of loving.
So colour me furious when I wake up to find myself wed, owned and securely locked to the sexy brute. I think I can deal. I want to deal if it means I get to have him wrapped around me forever.
Till I find out that he’s not the man he made me want.
Misha
She’s beautiful, sweet, and genuine…but I can’t let that stop me.
I must admit, Irina’s sweet loveliness will make what I have to do a little bit harder. Men like me aren’t exactly known for their gentleness, but even I feel like I’m doing something wrong.
See, we aren’t meeting by chance. I know exactly who she is…and what the land her bakery sits on is worth to me. The plan to steal this innocent girl’s dream away from her is really starting to come together.
I’m not going to leave the pretty little thing destitute or anything, but I will take what I need from her. This is business, after all. And yeah, maybe just a little bit pleasure, too. Whatever it takes.

This is the book version of a train wreck: absolutely terrible but can't look away.
I still don't know why, but I read this book to completion, hating the every second of it.
1. Every character annoyed the ever-loving crap out of me. Every. Damn. One. Seriously, no exceptions. 2. The actions and reactions of the characters were just so unrealistic that I constantly found myself questioning, "Really???" 3. The editing was pretty bad. 4. There were so many contradicting scenes that it completely confused the storyline. One page said one thing and then something else popped up nullifying the last situation. Again, lack of editing. 5. While it was first person POV, the amount of people it focused on was just too many. 6. Brat. Brat. Brat. Brat. Brat. (Get my point?)
I can never ever get the time back I put into reading this but hopefully I can save others, considering the amount of good reviews this received.
Gawddamnit, if that wasn't one of the BEST books I've eva read. So dang sweet and sexy but also so enthralling that I read the whole thing in one setting. I wish I never read this so that I could read it all new. *swoon*
I gave 2 stars for the simple reason that I liked the whole Mafia premise, and that it was sometimes hilarious, even unintentionally since I kept laughing at how bad and nonsensical it all was. Like their parents having heavy Russian accents even though Irina and Misha were 3rd generation New Yorkers, which meant their grandparents or even great-grandparents were the ones who emigrated from Russia. Now I read this as a whole about 300 pages, but I only got to page 250 or something like that. I just couldn't handle anymore.
Anyhow, I don't really have time for a full review. So I'm just going to talk about the mother of all plot holes. It's like the king of plot holes if plot holes had royalty.
When we start out, Irina is a sweet, good-natured baker with her own bakery were her 3 friends work--detour... did anyone keep forgetting Eliza existed?--Then handsome, rich, charming Misha and his 2 brothers walk into her bakery, and she's imminently taken by this handsome stranger. Okay, that's fine so far...unless you take into fucking consideration that their families knew each other! How the hell has she never met him or his brothers or at least heard of them. Even if he'd been studying overseas, considering they both come from wealthy families--like maybe his father did not want his sons to go into the business--she would know him, or maybe remember him from when they were younger. She would know the brothers and the sister. It would have made a lot more sense if they already knew each other and she would have a crush on him since they were younger but he kinda never paid attention to her because he was just his friend's little sister, and then when he was suddenly interested in her, she agreed to go out with him, even if she knew he'd been a playboy when he was a young man. I mean, her damn brother had a child with Misha's sister, and he was fighting for his rights to see his son, and the mothers were trying to fix everything and get the kids to work things out. SO WHY DOES IRINA NOT KNOW THEM?
One more thing, it would have been better if they dated for like 2 weeks, and then got married in a drunken stupor and then their parents found out and Irina couldn't get out of the marriage.
I've already read #1-3 and reviewed them. #4 & 5 were in this bundle. This whole series has been one of the best I've read in quite a while. All of the characters are so lovable. The males are all dominate, bossy, loving, and tender alpha males. The females are just as dominate, bossy, loving, and tender. They all love hard and fast. This story will have you sobbing and laughing hysterically all the way through out. The ending was a very happy surprise although when I think about it, it couldn't have ended any other way. I will definitely be reading more works by Kristina Weaver.
The lack of transitions/flow of the storyline and dialogue drove me crazy. I felt lost when places jumped from one moment to the next. And what was the deal with the constant Jerry Springer/Maury show going on in the poor bakery. I'm there was no respect to the customers whenever Irina or one of her friends or one of the men decided to have meltdowns right in the store throughout the series. The little bits of sex scenes were good/okay but I really was pulling my hair just to get through the story and be done with it. Glad this was free at the time of purchase.
0 stars. Do you really hate women that much? You insult & degrade them. Apparently they can't make any decisions or take care of themselves without a man. Look around the world, women do it all the time. There are plenty of women out there that even take care of men. As a female author you should have more consideration for your female characters. If you really think that badly & that little of women, then don't write about them.
Up until the last two chapters, this book was a 4 star (i only give 5 stars to books that i reread if they were that good). But mid way through the second to last chapter it was like the ending just dropped in my lap out of nowhere. It left me a little perturbed. Good book otherwise, would recommend with a buyer beware.
I liked this book although some of the other couples mentioned I feel would have been better with their own stories. Hopefully this will come about. Overall it was a good book and worth the read.
Great characters, stimulating storylines and excellent writing style. I had a lot of fun reading this book and look forward to many more by this excellent writer.
I really enjoyed this book series, that I really could not put my kindle down. It was not only steamy but actually had a story. It gave a little Mystery which kept me guessing and had me laughing out loud. Want to read more from this author.
It took me a while to get into the book but once I did I was looking forward to what would happen next. I loved all the twists in the plot and a lot of hot sex.
This was a wonderful book. It kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire story. I loved the characters and the storyline. Best money ever spent.
