Wicked As He Comes

Rate this book
Jane Eyre Sinclair is at the end of her rope. Since her parents passed away, the curvaceous waitress has been the sole provider for her much younger twin siblings, George and Harry. Their greedy uncle cheated them out of their inheritance and now, he’s made an attempt on the twins’ lives. Jane needs protection and the only man who can give it is John Alexander…

Tiger shifter and Hollywood music producer John Alexander enjoys his bachelor lifestyle so much, he vows he will never get married. And yet, the moment he laid eyes on a voluptuous human female named Jane Eyre—just like that Bronte novel—all he can think about is how to convince her she is his mate. So when she attempts to blackmail him in to marrying her, John jumps at the chance and says yes.

It doesn’t matter if the marriage is supposed to be for show until the twins reach eighteen; Jane has to be his forever, damnit! Doesn’t she know shifters mate for life? If Jane can’t understand that, John will make it his mission to convince his new wife to fall in love with him, by any means necessary.

No rest for the wicked and wicked as John comes…

This has started as an ok, a potential 3 star books.
Then on the first night they decide to consummate their marriage hero pulls out "special" jute ropes from his drawer for Japanese rope bondage!
Now, everyone knows my issues with bondage. However in this case, I was REALLY NOT bothered by the bondage at all. Hero spent time with heroine. He knows whatever the bs they need to know of giving up control. Good for them. And I skimmed through the book, this is the only bondage scenario.
But the fact that they're "specially made" jute rope and the fact he pulled it out of his drawer and he has a "reputation " kept me wondering who else he used those ropes on before heroine.
Actually. Scrap that. I had to hold my urges to puke.
As if that wasn't enough, heroine has 8 year old twin brothers, one of them a child prodigy who acts like 80 and treats the heroine and EVERYONE surrounding them in a condescending manners. Because. Prodigy.
Then we have the other 8 year old who talks like an underdeveloped 16 years old.
What I'm trying to say is NEITHER of the kids had anything remotely childish about them.
And that just was not pretty or relatable of realistic whatsoever.
Now what do you expect from a smutty shifter novella, you may ask.
Well my answer is none of the above, therefore, I'm abandoning ship!

This was book 3 in the "Tiger In Her Bed" series. Jane Eyre Sinclair is as her wits end she needs to do something to protect her twin brothers so she comes up with a plan to blackmail John Alexander into marrying her. John can't believe the hot sexy waitress is blackmailing him into marrying her and when he says yes she is stunned. Turns out Jane is Johns mate and when he thinks they will go there separate ways after getting married turns out John has other ideas. I really liked this book Jane knows about shifters so John doesn't have to worry about that. I liked how his family took to Jane and her twin brothers. Turns out Jane the boys need the Alexander's protection against her uncle who has tried to kill both of the boy's and when John and his family confront him he doesn't take it too well. When Alfred kidnaps Savannah and the boys he gets some pissed off tigers coming after him. This was a good read John is kinky he has a thing for ropes and tying up subs. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

I was given this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is the third and I believe last in the series. This is John's story. I really enjoyed reading it! I mean I saw a couple of errors but honestly no big deal. I found it quite humorous and I really loved those twin boys. George so grown up and smart at 8 years old. He made me smile. Harry was the baby...yes they are twins but he's more sensitive I guess? Jane is in a bit of a pickle and needs John for his protection. His name alone is powerful and she hopes is enough to keep her brothers safe from her Uncle Alfred. So, she blackmails him into marrying her. She doesn't think things through she realizes a bit later. What shocks her so much is how willing he is about it all. John knows she's the one for him once he sees her. So, of course he's going to marry her and protect her. His tiger went gah gah over her! John has a bit of a kinky side and surprisingly Jane was brave enough to give it a try. Japanese rope bondage hmmm. That was kinda hot if I'm honest. Anyways, I enjoyed both characters...John was sweet and really good to her. His family was awesome to her and the boys too especially Savannah. There was a few time when Jane felt really guilty had a lot of doubt about John really wanting her much less forever after. After explaining things to her she still kinda went on about it and I did get mildly annoyed. Otherwise, I had no real issues with the book and look forward to what she does next.

A sweet story with an equally sweet HEA. Jane Eyre Sinclair (yes from the Bronte novel) is in a fix. The man who is supposed to be her only family is gunning to destroy her and what is left of her family. She needs the name and protection of John Alexander. She knows his secrets and blackmail is the only way to convince him to marry her. But fate declares Jane as John's mate and in spite of not ever wanting to be tied down her finds being bound to her the only thing that feels right. So Jane doesn't have to try very hard. But once he realises her intention behind all the arm twisting, nothing can stop him from claiming her and eliminating every threat and hardship that she and her brothers may face.

I loved this book!
I loved the name for the heroine: Jane Eyre
She tried to blackmail John into marrying her to protect her brothers.
John took a whiff of Jane + he knew she was his mate.
So of course, he said " Yes, I will marry you"
John + Jane had a very HEA

A fun bookend to the trilogy

This was an interesting way to wrap up the brothers finding love. All on all, it has me wanting to see some followup stories around growing and raising their families, especially when you take the personalities and vocations of their wives into account. It would also be a good opportunity to take a look medical practitioners that are connected to the supernatural in some way.

Tiger by his Tail

Great story of intreg, blackmailed, danger, and a family to the rescue. Shows don't mess with Grandma, or back up a family of tigers. Would like a story of all the guys with their wives having babies, and the help of the twins.

This is the last book of this three book paranormal series John Alexander has just finished a play w/his partner and come to Vegas for R&R he got good reviews even though John is a successful music producer but he was patting himself on the back in a little cafe when a beautiful curvy woman comes to his table and attempts to blackmail him with some pics of his partners wife kissing him and he will not jump but she tells him that they will be posted true or not unless he marries her this is perfect for John because he has vowed to never marry until this very moment because this is the woman he and his tiger want to mate with so he agrees which has the waitress Jane Eyre Sinclair mouth hanging open because she never thought it would be so easy to get an Alexander to marry her she has a very big problem and several little ones and since he being so nice she tells him that she will let him divorce her shortly but again she has her mouth hanging open because John tells her that when an Alexander marries they marry for life. She eventually tells him why she really needs him to marry her then once they get back to New York things start to get dicey the Alexander family is there to help their own. Love this romantic suspense series. I provided an honest review.

Jane Eyre Sinclair had me grinning from the start. She takes to blackmailing a confirmed bachelor for marriage. John isn't about to let a little blackmail keep him away from Jane Eyre. When John takes her on, he gets her surprises and her baggage. He's more than ready to keep her at any cost. It was an enjoyable read watching the table turn on Jane Eyre.

Jane blackmailing John to make sure her brothers are safe didn't exactly go as planned. I don't think she planned on him agreeing so quickly hahahaha. Ok I've got to say I love John. He was being blackmailed into marriage but he was really happy about it. Then he became so protective and loving to Jane and her brothers. Knowing they haven't had it easy, especially with evil Uncle Alfred. Jane is so deserving of a happy life, everything she willing to do to protect her brothers is just admiring. Talking of her brothers hahaha omg Harry and George are twins but totally different. But still typical brothers always fighting with each other. But they both so love Jane and want her to be happy. Both willing to confront John a tiger if he hurts her is soooo sweet.  Then you have John's family. I haven't read the first two books but I will now, this family sticks together and is funny. Savannah is not a woman  you should go against by threatening her family. Such a wonderful family and now Jane and her brothers are apart of it. Happy as they all deserve.

OMG I absolutely adored this book, makes me sad that this is the end of the series...Do wish that there was more as the more I read this series the more and more I loved it! It is written in a style that comes across as very real! Its very warm and welcoming in its approach, although this is the third book in a series it is a book that you could understand without reading the previous two although the characters that are in this book will make a lot more sense if the whole series has been read.

I loved the storyline in this book, a very unique concept and a joy to read it. The more you read the more you want to read, making this book a major page turner and quite an obsessive read! I do love that the story is a continuation from the previous books and you see the warm and loving environment that is the Alexander family's way of life, how protective thy are of their own once they have taken people into their hearts and that is very emotional to read. It is obvious that this book was written with a lot of love and this definitely shows itself all the way through this story.

Jane is a character that I think we can all identify with in the respect that I am sure we would do everything to protect the people we care about from danger. She is fierce in her loyalty and puts everything on the line to protect her brothers, even at the cost of her happiness and future, they are the most important people in her life and this shows what sort of person she is so its no surprise that John falls for her as quickly and deeply as he does. The shifter who says he will never marry, all it took was for him to meet the right woman, his true mate. As with all the males in this world he is extremely protective with a huge reservoir of love for the people he welcomes into his heart and wont let anything or anyone hurt them. I have to mention Savannah, the matriarch of the family, she is utterly awesome. I loved her in the first two books but in this book she is so brilliant and I could read so much more about her, her love for her children is outstanding, she is just inspiring!!!

John Alexander is part of the powerful tiger clan. He had vowed never to fall in love and never to marry but that before this beautiful woman stood before him trying to blackmail him into doing what he and his tiger was planing on doing anyway. He wasn't leaving with out her. She didn't know it but she was his mate.

Jane Eyre Sinclair need this drop-dead gorgeous man and his family name for protection. So she was blackmailing him into marrying her to keep her two little brothers safe. So why does he look so triumphant about it?
OMG this was great. I loved the characters. So we'll put together. It's the 3rd on in the series and I didn't read the other two and wasn't lost BUT now I want to read the other two lol. Lots of action and spice. It had a great bad guy to hate too!
Shifter fans this one it awesome

•Never

Another quick interesting HEA story. After reading the first two TIGER IN HER BED stories, I couldn't wait to see who plows over John who always said he'll never fall in love or get married... Famous last words!! And OH BOY, Lizzie didn't disappoint, I was hooked from page one!
Jane needed John's protection, well honestly she needed the protection for her 8yr old twin brothers Harry and George. Their uncle wanted their deceased father's fortune for himself, the boys were a complication he didn't want in the way. Jane had compromising photos taken of John and his business partners wife to use as blackmail to convince him to marry her and protect the boys. She would've also told him that she knows he's a tiger shifter if she had to, anything to protect her brothers.
John knew his vow to never get married, was moot the minute he laid eyes on HER, his TRUE mate, his ONE and ONLY. His tiger was in complete agreement. And boy was she a spit fire too, but she didn't know he'd so readily agree to marry her. Or that Alexander's married for life!
What happens after they leave Vegas and head back to New York? You'll have to read TIGER IN HER BED 3 WICKED AS HE COMES to find out. Each story is their own standalone HEA story that flow together within the Alexander family. Although you could read them out of order, if you plan to read them all (which I recommend), then start with Book 1. Due to sexual content and adult language this novel is recommended for readers 18 and older. I received this copy in exchange for an honest review.
Favorite Passages:
•John Alexander vowed he’d never fall in love again. He’d never let his heart get stolen. And he’d never let himself get tied down by that miserable institution called “marriage.” Never, never, never.
•And yet, the moment he laid his eyes on her, the only thing he could think about was how amazing it would be to have her as his woman. His true mate. His one and only.

TERRIFIC STORY OF LOVE,FAMILY,BETRAYAL,LOYALTY
I WAS GIVEN THIS BOOK FOR AN HONEST REVIEW ........ OVER 18 + READING
John Alexander vowed to never fall in love again, never get tied down to one woman. Yet when he meets a waitress that he thinks it would be wonderful to have her as his true mate and wonders if she knows what he really is, a tiger shifter. She brave to try to blackmail him,all she wants is marriage but so does he, only he wants it for real and a lifetime not just in name only.He says yes even before he knows why Jane Eyre Sinclair needs it, what has happened to her family and she is trying to raise her twin 8 year old brothers alone. Without the money they should have inherited with both parents dying in two separate accidents and worry over the boys safety since things have given them reason to worry. Jane just want to get licence, married and go back to the boys she didn't tell him about. He takes her to buy wedding dress, shoes, rings and helping her informs her they can get married but there still must be a real over the top wedding or his mother and brothers would skin him alive.Slowly asking questions that made her think he was playing a game with her till he got the truth then said that if it was true they must waste no time getting married. So there is introducing him to the boys, them all to his family, quick marriage and dealing with the uncle and everyone's safety. I must say I like the mothers responds to dealing with the threat of the kidnapping, her not letting her sons deal with it all. I loved how after it came out the way his family took to her and the boys. Though I wonder if the blackmail story will ever be told to his family. I think his mother seems like the type to find it funny, I know I did and would if it had been my son. Very well written.

Loved it

Loved John and Jane. John has said repeatedly he was never settling down. When his mate tries to blackmail him into marriage, he of course says yes. Jane blackmails John into marriage, for the protection of his family name, and she knows what he is. Her uncle has seized her families trust, and her young twin brothers are in danger. A fun fast paced and steamy short story. Would have liked an epilogue that included the whole Alexander family. Trent and Arielle have a baby on the way.

Jane Eyre Sinclair, is the care taker for her younger twin brothers George and Harry. Their parents have died, maybe murdered, and she is at her wits end. Their greedy uncle arranged for them to be cheated out of their inheritance, her brother's lives are in danger, and she needs protection, leaving her to turn to John Alexander.

John, a tiger shifter and Hollywood music producer has promised to never get married and fall in love again, until Jane is sitting in front of him. Jane works at a restaurant in Las Vegas and blackmails John into marrying her. Going against his promise to himself, he realizes she is his mate and agrees to the wedding. She is immediately accepted into the family and John begins working on a plan to prove her uncle is behind the murders of her parents and attempted murder of her little brothers. John is willing to do whatever it takes to protect her, and even though she promised it would be over when the twins turn 18, John wants forever.

John's story was different from the other two, but still just as good. With this story we get more intrigue and suspense than in the other two. The relationship building between Jane and John was realistic and the attraction between them was well written. Savannah proved once again she's a bad ass, the clan is lucky to have her. John made her twin brothers feel welcome and Savannah was the doting grandma. Great story, and I recommend it, but I recommend these books are read in order.

I loved John's story. I enjoy the guys that swear they are never going to get married. I wish that in real life that when we meet the one that we will be with forever that we would know like that. It is so cute how he just says that he will go along with the blackmail and she is so taken aback she is not sure what to do. I think that the sense of family that these stories bring out is so nice. I like that John is willing to take on Jane and her brothers and doesn't even think twice about it. The Alexander family does the same and just takes it all in stride.
I think this is a great length story as it is one I can read quickly and relax. It has enough twist and turns to keep you interested but doesn't drag out I think the characters are done well without a lot of extra stuff but enough that you get a good idea about the people.
Loved the series.

I enjoyed this story a lot. It was great to see John finally find his mate after getting to know him some in the previous 2 stories. This is the third in the series but can be read as a standalone novel. John is "blackmailed" into marrying Jane at the beginning of the book but as the reader quickly figures out, he can't be made to do something he really doesn't want to do. It just worked in John's favor and so he went with it. I thought that the relationship between them was great and that we get to see them build it even though it originally starts as a blackmail attempt. I loved the 2 twins, they were great additions. The sex is explicit and has some kink to it, nothing too over the top though so don't let that scare you. I really enjoyed the story and it has plenty to keep your attention from start to finish as you get to know these characters. It's a quick read and I really enjoyed reading it.

3.5 stars. A fun short story.
Liked the story. It started off with a blackmail plot that wasn’t. You have to read the book to understand.
John has finally meet his one and now he understands what his brothers were talking about.
Jane has two much younger twin half brothers who are in danger. She concocts a plan to blackmail John into marrying her to protect them. What was supposed to just be a quickie Vegas wedding and short term marriage become so much more.
Loved the ending with rotten Uncle Arthur.
My only twitch with this story was they have hardly gotten to know each other and I thought it was a bit much that he brings out a rope for bondage play the very first time they have sex.

DNF

Another entry into the completely screwed up romance category. What starts out as a nice story turns into a glorification of female sexual abuse.

As I have noted before, ALL books that include BDSM, whipping, chains etc should be rated so that those of us that don't want to be disgusted by it can avoid them. This book includes several levels of bondage, dominance and japanese rope play. I found what bit I read to be a travesty and was not able to even get close to finishing it. Those that wish to are welcome to read this sort of thing. Those of us that don't wish to, especially those of us that are survivors of abuse do not deserve to have to fight nausea when a quick warning would steer us away from this sort of thing. This book gets 0 stars.

**I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.**

This is a short and fast read. There are scene with rope play, but nothing to heavy if that bothers people.

John is the youngest of all the Alexander brother's. He's convinced he will never settle down like his brothers and his reputation shows it. But the pretty waitress trying to blackmail him into marriage is just the kind of woman that makes his tiger roar.

Jane Sinclair just needs the protection the Alexander name will provide her to keep her twin brothers safe. What she didn't expect was the man actually wanting to marry her.

When all is said and done Jane and her problem uncle will learn you never mess with the Alexander's, especially a mate.

Very cute tiger shifter book featuring Jane a human, who is in need of a rich and powerful husband to keep her and her twin brothers safe. John a rich tiger shifter, who is more than willing to marry Jane, even though she blackmailed him into it. Jane doesn't realize she is his mate and it's forever. They go through some trying times as someone is trying to kill the twins, and ends up kidnapping them. Nice storyline, good characters. Unnecessary to read the first two books in the series as this can be read as a stand alone, but it would give you extra enjoyment if you do. 4☆'s. I recommend it to anyone who likes paranormal romance. I received a gifted copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

Great Family are not always blood
John Alexander vowed to never fall in love. Then this woman out of no ware blackmails him into marriage. Jane Sinclair is desperate to keep her little brother safe from their Uncle. She figures if she has the Alexander name to help bake her, she and her brothers might be safe.
Jane has no clue that John wanted her from the moment he met her. And not only goes alone with her plan but takes it ever further.
The Uncle is also desperate to keep the family fortune to himself. To what lengths will he take it. Or has he already taken it farther than anyone thought. Jane’s parents both met unfortunate death, but were the just accidents. This is a self-contained story yet part of a series. Well written and very entertaining to read.

3.5 , it was an ok read for me

Quick short read.
John, the youngest of the Alexander brothers, is blackmailed into marrying Jane Sinclair. She is actually his mate, so he has no problem with that. Jane would do anything to protect her little brothers from her uncle and believes that having the Alexander name will do just that.
I don't have a problem with insta-love, I think it's standard shifter protocol, but in this story everything felt rushed to me. I didn't really have time to connect with the characters and then the story ended. I wish it was longer and we got more story.
I look forward to Ms Lee's next book

This story held my attention from the first page. Jane Sinclair has decided to blackmail John Alexander into a sham marriage so she will be able to protect her twin brothers George and Harry. Her nasty uncle is trying to kill them but Jane really has no proof. Her parents are both deceased from a strange series of accidents. It is about to backfire on Jane as the sham marriage she is suggesting is not about to happen as tiger shifter John has just met his mate and he will do anything to protect Jane and her brothers. Thank you to Lizzie Lynn Lee for the wonderful review copy. Loved it. Highly recommend this author and her books.
