I’m Staff Sergeant Michaels, the leader of Steel Corps. We’re the best America has to offer and we’ve been dealt a heavy blow. I’m fighting to recover; struggling to be the leader my men expect me to be – need me to be.
It’s been five days. Five days since my men rescued me from that basement in Mexico. My body is healing and I’m stronger than ever - eager to go to Russia and end this terror haunting me.
Secrets burden our team like lead weights around our necks. We must strip them free and bind ourselves together anew. These revelations have the power to rip us apart, forever changing Steel.
Will it be for the better? Or will Steel Corps burn?
I can’t decide our future alone, but Chris Jordon is at my side, watching my back – chasing the shadows away, whether I want him to or not.
An unexpected visitor forces our hands and sends Steel on a mission from which we may not return. I may get my way, but at what price?
I am in love with this series!!! Mic is one kick-ass chick leading a pack of hot alpha males into battle! Can't get better than that! JB Havens is such an awesome writer that she makes me forget I'm reading half of the book in 1st person which is really hard to do because I've never been a fan of it... well, I am now, as long as it's written by her! Can't wait for the next installment!
I was given an ARC for my honest review and in no way did it affect my review.
when you find out that everything you thought was real turns out to be a lie and the one person you trusted more than anything in the world has lied to you, what do you do?
You do what you have trained to do, be Steel, be deadly, be honourable.
Where does installment 3 of the Corps Series to you? deep into the underworld of Russia. That's where.
Can the guys of Corps come through this stronger than ever?
Each book in this series gets better and better. I swear I'm going to have a heart attack laughing at Flynn. He's like a big child, but a goofball in the process. Finally...Bea and Chris are together! Hoorah! About bleeding time. I'm beginning to love this series as much as the Trident and Omega series, and I look forward to book 4.
Staff Sergeant Michaels, “Mic” has been rescued from her torturous abduction in Mexico and is on the mend. The slavering running through Russia weighs heavily on her mind. Mic wants nothing more than to take her team into Russia to shut down that business and get some payback. Unfortunately, word comes down that infiltrating Russia is out of the question. The Russian Mob and the Russian Government are closely knit; one dependent upon the other. Will Mic stand down and obey orders? On the bright side, evidently, Mic and Jordon have finally reconciled. About time. Three.point.five for unity. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
If you are in the mood for a fast paced, electric military style thriller, look no further than the the Steel Corps Series. In the third installment of Steel Corps, we join the unit in their Russian adventure to get payback for the women tortured down in Mexico. If that is not enough, we finally get some real insight on the mystery characters on the team. I can't say this enough, but what a book.
Things come to a head in this book. Secrets are revealed that changes the lives of everyone. Steel is in danger of falling apart. What will Mic and the boys do now? They are still dealing with the fall out from Mexico and the ties to Russia. This story line just keeps getting better and better with the non stop action and adventure this series has me hooked. 5/5 stars for this pivotal installment.
Wow. You have to be kidding. What possibly could happen next???? Glad Beatrice and Jackson found love. Jordan and Bea also are made for each other. Lot of suspense, twists and turns. Can’t wait to get to next book
I'm not quite sure what I feel about this one. The team has gone against orders and Jackson revealed a secret that rocked the team to its core. Steel Corps is forever changed. The story didn't flow quite as well here. I can't quite put my finger on exactly why, it just seemed a little stilted.
I'm loving this series! This book was great, it's one of those can't put down until you reach the end books but you can't read it alone you have to read the others first but you won't be disappointed!
This is by far the best in the series yet. Mic and Jordan's story has been coming since that scene on the running track. What a great story it was. The chemistry between them played out on the page for the reader, the fact that the focus was primary on the mission rather than just on them, was another great aspect of this book and the way the situation had meaning to Rook and we began to learn a little about him. Thankfully Jackson was able to move some way towards redeeming himself, I get the sense he'll be a player in the future of this series, particularly with how this ended. Maybe even Nikoli will join the elite Steel Corps (who are no more!). Thanks J.B looking forward to the next installment.
Arc copy given for as a competition prize. J B does it again with this fantastic third book in her Steel Corps series, I was enraptured from the first page. Mic and the team still re-grouping from her capture, she is starting to recover from her injuries and things with Jordan are becoming hard to ignore. With some action and a few surprises including lots of new changes, things are a bit up in the air at times. It keeps you riveted to find out what's going to happen and how the unexpected news is going to affect them all. A secret mission to Russia is just one of the events taking place, a possible new addition to the group and some sparks flying along the way makes this a must read for all fans of the first two books in this series. You do need to read the first two before reading this one as they do all follow on, not just with the Core but with some of the storylines. Well written, the descriptions are clear and the scenery, weather conditions made me feel the cold. I love the new location and look forward to reading more of the changes as they progress in the next book with excitement, I also enjoyed the mentions of another Team and the connections. I am trying to be vague so as not to spoil any reading for others but at the same time I just want to rave about this book so much, I adored getting back in touch with these characters that I had missed since the last book finished. Hearing more of not only the relationship between Jordan and Mic, Jackson and Aunt Bea, but also getting some hints of maybe others in the future. This group of people feel like family that I have taken into my heart and soul, I hate that I read so fast and now have to wait again for the next book to get more of them. Consolation in the fact that JB Havens is also going back to the early years in a cross over series with Samantha A Cole's Trident Security, the first of which comes out soon.
A few months ago, a dear friend brought this beautiful lady into our small circle of friends. We were given the chance to read her Steel Corps Series. I devoured book one within a few days and I bugged the hell out of her until she finished book 2. Now we have book 3, which is by far my favorite. Staff Sgt Michaels finds out that everything she has lived for is a lie. Michaels has fought a tough battle with her co workers. Co Workers who she also sees as family. She has one more fight to get through. One more mission that may end Steel all together. Michaels takes her and her crew to Russia. This mission may be the end for them. She is strong and fearless and with her crew by her side she even stronger. let's not forget she has Chris with her every step of the way.
JB's writing is fantastic. She is just as kick ass as the characters she writes. ❤❤❤❤
Very good read! For those who like to read books in a certain order I recommend reading No Way In Hell 1&2. I enjoyed the Steel Corps series so much more with the back story. My husband is also reading the series and is enjoying very much.
5 stars. What do you do when everything you stand and fight for turns out to be a lie? What do you do when the country you fight for turns its back on you and you become traitors? How does Steel deal with it, they do what Steel has always done and fight for what is right. Another high octane read from JB Havens with the team kicking ass yet again. The sexual tension between Mic and Jordan finally comes to a and we finally get everything we've wanted. I read this series being a huge fan of Samantha A Cole and wanting to read the crossover books and I am so glad I did as this series has been a fantastic read. Highly recommended read.
This book gives the reader what we have been wanting since the first book............. So many confessions all over the place. A few bond shells. This continues where the last one left off and then some. It is recommended to read the first two books in the series before reading this one. Love this book and series.
Bea and Chris finally stop fighting their attraction to one another, go on a final mission and live happily ever after. Or do they? The twist at the end of the story begs another book, and I am anxious for it. This author pops the emotions off the page for me!
I love J.B Haven's Steel Corps books. They're a family that I feel apart of. It's an easy read. Can't wait to find out what happens on the next adventure.
This series was one that once you finished one book you had to read tell next. The dynamics of the group was attention keeping. I hope to see the stories of the rest of the group.
