Art. Architecture. A large wooden model of a valuable church and a small city. The clash between these two autonomous realities opens up a path of inquiry that deserves to be followed, if only out of a legitimate and very human sense of curiosity. Notes on the wooden model of the San Carlino in Lugano by Mario Botta.
Mario Botta is a Swiss architect. He studied at the Liceo Artistico in Milan and the IUAV in Venice. His ideas were influenced by Le Corbusier, Carlo Scarpa, Louis Kahn. He opened his own practice in 1970 in Lugano.
