The Banks of the Lake: The Banks Family Saga

Rate this book
Esther "Effie" Solomon Banks has summoned her children to their family camp on the lake for a mandatory meeting. Everyone assumes that this is just a normal reunion, an excuse to get them all together as they have not all been in one place since the death of their father five years prior. The Banks children assume they'll only have to put up with each other for this one day. What they don't know is that Effie is about to unleash a hurricane of secrets that will threaten to strip this family bare to the bones!

It's all about love!

In spite of ugly times in life the children were bonded together by their love. What a story this is.

Really, really, really terrible. One of the worst books I have ever read. Sorry, but true.

good storytelling

i found the story drew me in right from the start. i was disappointed in the way the facts were revealed and felt the mother would not have resorted to such a cowardly way of revealing those secrets.

Excellent story

I loved the way the story unfolds, little by little, giving the reader time to absorb each new circumstance. Well-described characters and scenes. Story marred by the need for a serious edit.
