From the author/illustrator of TIPTOE INTO KINDERGARTEN comes a new kindergarten book that focuses on the alphabet and on fun activities in and out of the classroom!
On A day, we find acorns, On B day, we bring in our backpacks, And on C day, we change the calendar.
Each and every day celebrates a letter of the alphabet with a fun-filled classroom scene. Fans of Jacqueline Rogers' TIPTOE INTO KINDERGARTEN are sure to enjoy this sequel!
This book is about kindergarten and introduces the letters of the alphabet. Each page has a letter and an activity that is done at school. It also is like an i-spy book with pictures hidden on each page of the letter of that page.
I rated this book 4 out of 5 because it is a great way to familiarize children with the alphabet and kindergarten. I gave the 4 because each day is labeled with a letter and that can confuse young children. "On A day we find acorns, on B day we bring out backpacks" Otherwise it is a great book.
This book was cute. I like that it is not only an ABC book but also a look book as well. The plot is very simple. On Aa days we bring things that start with Aa and on Bb day we bring things that start with Bb.
This is a very cute book but I suggest only reading the sentences and letting the kids look at the book later to find the hidden pictures. They may automatically point to the pictures. Or it could be a good small group activity.
This is a good kindergarten book. It helps the kids start to think about what to expect when they get to school. I would recommend this book to others.
My son loves this book. It gives the reader certain works that begin with each letter of the alphabet and also gives the reader a list of words to find in the scene of each page.
This book does a great job a using the alphabet to tell the story of what the kids do each day in kindergarten. This book shows kindergarten as a fun place to be, all the kids in the pictures are happy and doing fun things with their classmates. One thing that was unique about this book was that not only did it have a page for every letter but it also had an “I spy” type list of things to find in the picture. Also, each item on the list started with the letter of which day it was that day. This engages the child and teaches them multiple words that start with that letter. This book would be fun to use in a small group reading session- allowing every student to have a turn to try to find the item on the list. This interactive well illustrated book will be a big hit for younger kids.
"Kindergarten ABC" is a great book, especially for children in Kindergarten. I liked how it showed children each letter of the alphabet and how it is correctly written, while also applying each letter to something that happened on each letters' day in Kindergarten, such as on Jj day they all get jiggly and jumpy. This book also captured my attention, as Kindergarten is the grade I want to teach, and this book is a great resource to use in my future classroom.
This is one book that I really enjoyed reading. The mood is happy all the way through the story. The illustrations and color are delightful. This book is based on the Alphabet but also allows for rhyming and playing games. This is a story that will easily hold the attention of children. In order to teach a child you must first get their attention.
Definitely on the easy side for some of the Kindergarten kids I work with, but for others it'll be a fun book for them to find the items listed on each page and also to practice new words. This book would be good for when I need to give some of the kids something to do quietly while I work one-on-one with another student in our group. Definitely should have a couple of these on hand!
This is a creative book to help students learn their abc's. Each and every day in the book celebrates a letter of the alphabet with a fun-filled classroom scene. This book also incorporates additional fun elements to get students activiely engaged in the book. This book is easily relatable to students in kindergarten.
This is such a cute ABC book to read to Kindergarten students. It relates each letter to a day so the students can relate to it and learn to associate which letter with which objects. This book is colorful and fun and I think it would be great to use in a Kindergarten classroom. I would for sure use it if I were to teach Kindergarten or even Pre-K.

From acorns to the zoo, the kindergarten class has something to find or do each day for the alphabet. In addition to the text each page has a list of other things, starting with the same letter, that can be found in the picture. The kindergarten class is comprised of children from several ethnic groups and the teacher is an african-american male.
Favorite part: When it says, "It's P day, and we pretend to be floating planets that spin round the sun." And the teacher is the sun, and the kids are the planets! AND when they were watching a video about bald eagles, like my brother Harlan really loves!
grade K read aloud/shared reading early/emergent/transitional fiction picture book alliteration/strong text&illustration interaction learn letters and words interactive-lists of words that begin with a letter then find words in the pictures
This book is a creative way for students to learn their abcs. This book uses the alphabet and makes each day a new letter. For example it uses A day for acorns. I would use this book in my classroom and use the activity in the book with my class that way it would help them learn their ABCs.
This book has a really cool concept that each day you can have a fun activity to do just by reading one page a day. So for each letter there is a fun activity that the class can do as they learn the alphabet.
This is about how the letters of the alaphet are involved. I would use this in a classroom to help explain to the students how the letter of the alaphet was. They would learn their letters.
I think this would be a great book to read to a kindergarten class. You could have students find all the items in each picture that start with each letter of the alphabet.
