Addilyn had been on top. She had great friends and an even greater boyfriend. All of that changed with one small decision, one mistake on someone else’s part. A drunk driver took everything she loved away. Everything changed from that moment on. She was no longer the girl that she once knew. Addilyn couldn’t even recognize that girl in her mirror. After the accident the ghosts of her friends haunt her causing her to have terrible nightmares which disrupt her family. When Addilyn’s father gives her mother an ultimatum her mother makes a difficult decision. They leave him behind for a better life. Unfortunately a better life isn’t easily found. They move to town after town until they find one that her mother has high hopes for. There Addilyn meets a handsome boy, Nash, who sees past her scars. The only bad news is that he’s already in a relationship. Of course there’s another person in this town that Addilyn hoped to never see again, Weston, the only other survivor of the crash. Surprisingly he ends up being the support she needs to get through the days ahead. Nash is a huge help too but the more time they spend together the closer they get. Even when Nash ends his relationship for her Addilyn pushes him away. It’s out of fear, she doesn’t want to lose someone she loves again, but she can’t deny the fact that there’s something huge between them. Along the road ahead Addilyn has some difficult decisions to make, hearts to break, and long days of recovery ahead. Will she be strong enough to let go or will her ghosts haunt her forever? Will she allow Nash in, will she let herself love again? Only fate can decide.

About the author

Raven K. Asher is the author of Barely Alive, Running Scared, and Dead End, the three books in her series, The Story of Alexis Rose. She is also the author of sci-fi series Eden One and The Onyx Wolves series. In addition she has written singles such as Losing Levi and When Tomorrow Never Comes. Raven was born and raised near a small town in Northern Ohio. Soon after graduating high school she moved to Chicago, Illinois where she lived for five years before moving back to her hometown in Ohio. Soon after moving back she met and married her wonderful husband. They now have two wonderful little girls. Raven works as a stay at home mom and raises Pygmy Goats and chickens as a hobby. She has always had a love for writing and has now made a lifelong dream of becoming a writer a reality. When she isn’t reading, taking care of her pets and kids she is diligently writing the many stories trapped inside of her head. Raven’s passions are for romance and horror, but she additionally enjoys sci-fi and fantasy stories. Her favorite stories to write are her post-apocalyptic tales.

The author of this book knows how to tug at your heart. This was a very moving story about how people can really step up to the plate when all is not good. She portrays all the characters in likable true life form. As you are reading the story, you cannot help but feel for all the characters especially the main character, Addie. Addie was in a fatal car crash losing her first love, her best friend and sher date. Addie was the only one to survive and not always wanting to continue her life. She wanted to live not just survive.

During the story, several boys come to the aid of Addie. She becomes close to them all but pushes them away as well. Addie has to open up to new relationships and try to live a normal life. I couldn’t put the book down and enjoyed it tremendously, even as the tears were falling down.

Heartbreaking - You just want to cry for Addie and what she had to go through. How one moment and one persons choice can ruin a persons life. It also shows how you have to pick yourself back up, and try to keep on living. You cannot always do that alone though. Sometimes you have to ask for help, and you have to have a little forgiveness in your heart. There has to be room for other peoples redemption as well. I thought this was a wonderful book of growth, and forgiveness and love.

The book is a good teen and young adult romance read. The characters are good. The book show us that sometimes you have to ask for help, and be able to have some forgiveness in your heart. The story also show us that there has to be room for other peoples redemption as well. The story is a wonderful book of growth, forgiveness, and love.

Her parents marriage ends and they try to find another place to live. Finally they find one but there will be surprises there for her. See what will happen now she is there

A heartbreaking story about a survivor of an accident who manages to find hope after devastation. The twists and turns of this book were surprising in some ways and not so surprising in others. But it held my attention all the way to the end. A few things weren't explained but they weren't that relevant to the main story so it didn't impede the progress of the story. I enjoyed reading it. A solid four stars.

Addie was such an amazing character. She lost her friends, her love and herself in a dark twist of fate. She had to pull herself out of the darkness with help from people that she never expected to find. In the end she found love again and found herself as well.

WONDERFUL!
A touching story that will get you all shocked up as the emotionally engrossing storyline tugs and pulls you in every direction! Wonderfully enjoyable... I enjoyed this novel very much... The scenes in it was very enjoyable along with the characters... their personalities was wonderful... The plot and the storyline was fantastic... Everything was so descriptive and made you feel like you was inside the novel... I highly recommend this novel to anyone...

This is the 2nd book I've read written by Raven Asher; she has done an excellent job at writing another good book. I will definitely be reading more of her books.

Addilyn and Weston survive a crash that kills most of their friends. Addilyn is haunted by the memories and finds it hard to get past. Nash is in a relationship when he meets Addilyn but falls for her and leaves his girlfriend for her. But can Addilyn allow herself to be happy? Great ending.
