Rate this book
Over 3.5 million readers have already fallen in love with Kate’s bestselling Laurel Heights series, get warm and cozy this holiday season…

A Laurel Heights Holiday Novelette

Trudy Hawke's mission: to go on vacation and have fun.

A prison sentence, more like it. She doesn't take vacations, and she especially doesn't go anywhere during the holidays. But her boss insists it's the price she needs to pay to become a full partner in his new private investigation firm. She'll do anything to become partner--even subject herself to love, peace, and Christmas music.

Trudy figures it's no big deal: she'll hole up in a hotel in Laurel Heights, drink gin, and watch action movies until she can return to London. Only her tyrant boss gives her a holiday list of to-do items, for which she must email picture proof of completion.

It's impossible... Until she meets Mason, who proposes a deal: he'll help her with the list if she's his date to his office holiday events, to show his edgy tech employees that he's more than a nerd from Iowa. From the moment she agrees, Trudy gets more than she bargained for, but she refuses to be corrupted by the magic of the season--or love.

Oh, I just love reading all of Kate Perry books! Kate Perry is a master in creating fantastic romantic stories that you will fall in love with the gorgeous characters. She truly did again when she wrote about Trudy Hawke in this Christmas novella. We have previous meet Trudy Hawke in the past book in the Summer Hill series. Trudy Hawke has been forced to celebrate the holidays in Laurel Heights by her boss. Trudy Hawke does not know how to embrace the holidays that she will get help from someone is very cute and charming. Both of them are very adorable together that you will just root for them to stay together. They may run into some problems but they will realize that they are meant for each other. Everyone will love reading this Christmas novella since it will get you into the spirit of Christmas.

Its like Kate is a mind reader! She knows exactly when I need a really good book to read.
I loved this Novella but would have loved it even more if it was a full novel.
I loved these two Characters. Mason was sweet and adorable and really I couldn't find fault in him at all. Trudy is a kick arse character but there was something vulnerable about her that was just so appealing in a heroine.
I loved that there was no coy meet and greet. He just saw her and made up his mind and just stormed right over to introduce himself. His complete lack of knowledge that he is colorblind and a walking advertisement to the show "what not to wear" is so amusing I kind wonder if half the people here in San Fran are also colorblind? (thats when they are wearing clothes...hello Castro)
I love reading this series and catching up with the fictional characters that live in my own neighborhood.
The only thing that I would have loved more with Wrapped in You was the title cover. I would love to have see a likeness of the characters for the cover....I can see it now...Lavender hair in leather with Santa scarf and hat, with a man clad in tangerine and mint caroling:)

Your family are as big of characters as you write about. I had a good snigger and the reviews written by your magic man : "Kate's brilliant, as evidenced by the fact that she married me." - the Magic Man, Kate's husband
and your brother: Kate writes books?" –Kia, Kate's brother
Kate I can not wait for the next Summerfield novel!

Funny, modern fast romance

Trudy finds herself on a vacation that she didn't want to take. Her boss tells her she has to go on holiday and relax, or he will not consider making her a partner in the investigation firm. He even makes a list of things she has to do and then send pictures to him to prove she is having a good time! She meets Mason, who trades with her - she helps him, he helps her, they both win!

The rest of the story is punctuated with text messages which discuss the "game" between Trudy, Mason and Trudy's boss. Romance blossoms amid the fun and games as the unlikely pair work on their checklists to improve their job, only to improve and change their lives forever.

Happy ending, stand-alone book - great quick read. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

I loved going back to Laurel Heights! I love all the wonderful ladies there. I also loved how this tied the Summerhill books with the Laurel Heights in a new way. Trudy is forced to take a vacation by her boss. To become partner she needs to relax and also complete the list he gave her, showing her having fun on her vacation. While in Grounds For Thought she meets a sexy man, Mason Miller, who volunteers to help her with her list. Trudy, though being the very independent, accepts his help and the sparks begin. As they gradually tick the items off her list, they start to become closer. Will Trudy be able to let her walls down and let Mason in and have a life she never dreamed of. Another wonderful book by the talented Kate Perry. I couldn't put it down. I loved every minute of it.

Wrapped in You is a delightful Christmas love story. Kate Perry does an excellent job of combining our favorite two series by sending tough as nails Summerhill Londoner Trudy Hawke to Laurel Heights for a little holiday cheer. While on vacation, she meets kind of dorky Mason and what follows is Christmas story cuteness.

I highly recommend this cute Christmas story, as well as all the Summerhill and Laurel Heights novels. Kate Perry is an exceptional contemporary romance writer who knows how to draw you into her settings and make you fall in love with her characters. You can't go wrong reading any of her books.

Loved this one! So excited to go back to Laurel Heights. When she's forced to go on holiday and send proof that she is actually having fun Trudy Hawke is furious. That is until she meets Mason Miller. Both these characters are a little quirky and absolutely perfect for each other. This is a quick read and one I enjoyed very much. It can definitely be read as a standalone but if you are a fan of the Laurel Heights series it was great to hear about some of the characters from the prior books. I highly recommend this one.

Fairy Dust from Kate Perry

Wrapped in You served to remind me that how much I loved the Laurel Heights series and that it may be time to revisit.

This story is the perfect storm of Christmas romance and San Francisco. Kate Perry captures both so beautifully. You feel the magic and wonder through Trudy's heart and see it through her eyes. It gives you hope, this story does, that there is this kind of love in the world, from friends and lovers both, but to experience you have to be open to it.

Fun, fun, fun

This was one of the most fun books I've read lately. I love the characters in this series, and these two new ones fit right in.
My only problem was having difficulty reading the size of the font on the text messages at the beginning of the chapters. Bigger would have been much better!
Can't wait for something new out of this series.

I love Kate Perry. It's always a good read, and this one is so much fun. Having a check list to accomplish while on vacation to prove to your boss that you are actually vacationing and enjoying the holidays? Cute, geeky guy to help accomplish your list? YES PLEASE. A cute fun read for the holidays.

I love Kate Perry books they just hook you in from beginning to end. I did take a little bit to read this book because I’ve struggled with reading all year. I’m glad I finally got to read this short and sweet novella.

Trudy lives in the UK and her boss has sent her on vacation to take a brake but it comes with a list! She has to do a lot of festive things instead of sitting in a hotel room for her whole vacation. Insert Mason Miller who is happy to oblige Trudy and also has a thing for her. Super sweet and really makes you want to go out and be festive!

A quick witted Londoner, forced to get into the spirit of Christmas. You cannot not enjoy that storyline!

If there’s one bad thing to say here - that would be that it’s a Novella and therefore the whole story seems a little bit sped up.

But it’s a cute Novella that made me smile and took me along - right into the Christmas spirit.

Trudy is on the enforced vacation from hell. She doesn’t want to be on vacation. She hates vacations. She’d much rather be online, watching action movies or… just about anything that does not even remotely involve a vacation – Christmas vacations no less. One where she has to document “Having Fun” for her boss back home in order to get that partnership she wants. If only pulling out purple streaked hair would help, Trudy would be doing that too. But nothing was going to help. Not even the handsome man who keeps watching her from across the cafe.

Mason is captivated by the lovely, blue striped hair woman across the cafe. (Mason is color blind). She is as nonconformist a woman as he’s ever seen in Laurel Heights, and he knows a lot of people here. There’s simply something about her that draws him. And he’s going to find out exactly what that is. The dagger looks she’s sending his way don’t really count – she doesn’t-know that the lady he’s buying coffee for is a friend so he gives her points for not liking a cheating kinda man. And once he realizes that she’s gotta document having fun for Christmas – he offers up a deal, one that benefits them both.

I have absolutely no intention of giving anything more away about Wrapped In You. This is a one of a kind, laugh out loud and simply feel good kinda story that no one should ruin for you by saying too much. Trudy is delightful in her own unique way. Mason is dashing as a hero who simply wants to enjoy this woman exactly as she is – he wouldn’t change one thing… except maybe make her his on a long time permanent kinda deal.

Fall in love right along with Trudy and Mason. This is probably one you’re going to want to pick up again next year. It will make you feel that good. If you love Christmas romance, then this is perfect for you.

Mason is so like a (colorblind, heh) puppy, it's hilarious and endearing. Such a sweet guy who pulls all stops just for his mistress. Har har. Seriously, though, grand gestures everywhere, and he's only helping Trudy with her checklist.

Sad to see Trudy go (from London, and maybe future Summerhill novels?), though. Her sibling-like relationship with Jon is really sweet, even more pronounced now that they're away from each other. And so, so happy to get reacquainted with Eve and Olivia and the other Laurel Heights ladies.

Charming novelettish read.

Forced to take a vacation by her boss and then do a crazy Christmas bucket list, Trudy goes to Laurel Heights in the San Francisco Bay Area. She meets Mason the first day and he offers to help her and after their first kiss she becomes Wrapped in You toward Mason and vise versa.

Wrapped in You is a fun holiday romance where a girl from London opens up to love from a fun and hot man in California with all the other fun characters from previous Laurel Heights books. I enjoy Kate Perry's books.

A quick, easy read.

Trudy's boss is forcing her to take a vacation in order to become a partner in their London private investigator firm. So, she heads to Laurel Heights, fully ready to sink into the cushions of her hotel room's couch and watch movies for two weeks. Then, her boss sends her conditions, making sure that she experiences her vacation. A man in this new town helps her complete the challenge, and she isn't sure exactly how she feels about that.

She's independent, spunky, and sounds like fun. Everything happens really quickly, but the story makes sense and you pay attention.

Loved this novella!! It perfectly tied Laurell Heights and Summerhill novels together again. It was great catching back up with the Laurel Heights characters again (trying not to give too much away). Loved the Christmas spirit. I just love Kate's characters! Definitely worth reading the novella and any fan of Kate's will love this book! It leaves me wanting more Laurell Heights and more Summerhill novels. Thanks for the ARC kate!

I don't normally like novellas but it was nice to read about Trudy finding her happily ever after. Mason sounds like a sweetheart and it was great to catch up with some of the other 'Laurel Heights' characters.

There it is again. The story of the strong woman. Love it
What started out as a forced holiday for Trudy became a lifetime holiday when she met Mason. A very unexpected turn
I love how all the characters intertwine between all Kate's books in this series and the Summerhill's.
