Evyn ja Kestrelin talvinen hevosretki muuttuu pelastusoperaatioksi. Tytöt näkevät erämaassa nuoren nälkäisen mustangiorin, joka tarvitsee kipeästi apua. Matkan varrella on kuitenkin muitakin pikaista pelastusta tarvitsevia, sillä jonkun auto on suistunut tieltä ojaan. Yllätyksekseen Evy tunnistaa matkustajat isäkseen ja siskokseen. Miten he löysivät heidän piilopirttinsä? Missä on pelottava isoäiti? Ja mikä tärkeintä - mitä asiaa isällä ja siskolla on Evylle?
ANGELA DORSEY currently lives on Vancouver Island and is thoroughly enjoying the ocean breezes, awesome hiking, and lack of snow! In the past, she has lived in a number of small towns throughout B.C., and loved them all.
She loves hiking, traveling, and animals, and has a tendency to name her pets after things that remind her of her coastal home, such as Misty, Raven, and Cedar.
Angela writes novels, screenplays, and non-fiction, and has a number of literary publications (short stories, poems, and postcard stories) and articles published as well.
The final book and what the heck is this awful title? What does it even mean?! No idea, not impressed, zero out of ten AWFUL.
Regardless of that though, this was an exciting conclusion! While I still have questions about the family and why the grandmother wants Evy so badly—I know obsessive people like this exist but seriously?—that I stand firmly on it being a missed opportunity to not have her reason be about Evy’s gift, but it was overall decent in the execution we got.
One thing does bug the HECK out of me though, why would Evy intentionally crash a snowmobile into the lake they drink from? Now they have motor oil in their only source of water and while I get why she did it, it doesn’t make sense from a survival standpoint AT ALL and was a really dumb move on her part—why not crash it into a boulder or tree instead? At least then the snowmobile is still useless without polluting your only water source, just sayin’…
While ultimately not my favorite series from this author (that would be the Horse Angel/Guardian series), I still enjoyed it and am glad I was finally able to finish it after all these years.

The final part of a series about a girl who lives in the wilderness with her mother. Also she can communicate with horses. One one hand, it is a unique horse girl story and on the other a isolationist family drama.
I loved this book! It was so good! I especially love where Evy can talk to the horses through her mind in this book (Really cool). I definitely recommend this book. :)
This was probably best book in the series, but I would've been disappointed if that was the case. I feel like this could've technically been squeezed into three books rather than nine and had a more conclusive ending.
I hope the series continues! We have to see how the families turn out and especially the new addition! I expect more mysteries to pop up! What fun these books have been!
