Kimberly Richardson draws you into the decadent world of a powerful Memphis family in possession of Dark Gifts. Graydon Fayette is a masterful violinist, capturing his audience simply by the first note of an Open A then playing orgasmic pieces of music that mesmerizes and delights the crowd. The hand-crafted violin, a gift from his uncle, is not an ordinary instrument and can only be played by Graydon. However, that does not stop others in the Dark Gift community from wanting to steal it. Who can Graydon trust when he is surrounded by a web of deceit? As Graydon bares himself wholly to the connection he has with his violin, he also becomes embroiled in a torrid romance, questioning himself and everything he knows about his Dark world. A great read! Highly recommended.

There are no white knights or idyllic heroes in Open A. Turn the pages into a dark world where taboos are just a way of life, as long as it serves art and doesn't get TOO out of hand. Well paced, with detail and a dark sensuality that builds as the plot unwinds, it's a unique read that enthralls as surely as the characters written within.
