Chicago tycoon Jack Roman has risked everything to protect Samantha. But he’s been holding onto a secret that threatens to destroy his future with the love of his life, and he must are secrets worth keeping if they protect the ones you love? Now a renowned photojournalist, Wes Elliott found his way back into Samantha’s life after over a decade apart, but she still doesn’t trust him—not yet. When Wes discovers the terrible truth about how her family was murdered, he decides the only way to prove he’s back once and for all is to help her exact justice. But will it be enough to redeem him for leaving her all those years ago? Note to the Reader : This is the third novel in a provocative romantic suspense trilogy... Recommended for readers 18+ for mature language, violence and adult situations… _________________________________________________________________________________________________ Interview with the You’ve been hailed as introducing a new type of romance—one where the heroine is the alpha-billionaire badass. Was that deliberate? In a way, yes. I’m a long-time fan of both contemporary romance and action novels like the Jack Reacher series. I wanted to take what I love about both genres and combine them into a single series where the main character is a relatable, interesting, complex powerhouse of a woman. The intent was to turn the alpha-billionaire badass archetype on its head. Four books later I’m being called a “genre-bender.” I quite like that. W hy did you finish the prequel, Goddess Rising , before completing this last book? After I published Hell or High Water , I wanted to go deep into Samantha’s background before writing the conclusion. I felt I owed it to her character to tell her backstory so that the reader could fully understand the genesis of her struggles with the past in Fearless . So, does this book really mark the end of the Complicated Creatures saga? I’m considering writing a couple short novellas based on the original cast, but my next big project will be working on a series for Roxanne de Soto’s fixer character. She’s a fascinating mix of vigilante and vulnerability, and since Samantha is Rox’s benefactor so-to-speak, she’ll also be in the mix! _________________________________________________________________________________________________ eBooks » Military Romance » Love Triangle » Contemporary Romance » Mystery & Suspense » Suspense Thrillers » International Espionage

Lawless has done it again. I was one of the lucky chosen for an ARC copy of Fearless. To read this story from beginning to end has been an adventure for me. For those of you just starting out on the series this is NOT a standalone. To truly understand this great book you have to go back to Complicated part one and two. For the truly addicted, reading the prequel "Goddess Rising" to the series gives you more background on Samantha, Wesley and a brief look into why she is the way she is.

Fearless had me hooked from the very beginning, I couldn't put it down. Samantha is so kick ass and she truly gives a name to fierce women everywhere. Samantha is someone to aspire to and look up to. She's not just a dream, people-myself included- could relate to her and the things she went through. She was real, not just some fantasy that made you want to scratch your head and wonder how the author came up with her. Her experiences and trials made her a stronger person but it also made her vulnerable, which was great to see. Lawless showed me that even though your a strong person it's okay to break down and share your pain with those you trust. I have been with this series from the very beginning and have enjoyed watching Sam grow as a person and trust more.

Jack and Wesley played big roles as well. I loved getting to know more about Roxanne and can't wait to read more about her. In the first two books she was just a shadow creeping in the background but in Fearless she came out into the light and had a bigger role, which I loved. There were new characters and old but Lawless did swimmingly as she told their tale. To truly understand this great book you need to read Complicated Creatures part one and Hell or High Water part two. I cannot stress that enough because without reading those you will be lost. I highly recommend Fearless for those who want to be taken on an adventure and swept up in romance and the chaos that is the life of one Samantha Wyatt.

First of all, I read this book as an ARC for an honest review…

If you have never heard of Alexi Lawless, you are seriously missing out! This is NOT a standalone book and I suggest that you start with Goddess Rising. Samantha Wyatt is the female version of James Bond but BETTER!!! This series has been so amazing and Alexi knows how to bring out all of your emotions. You'll laugh, you'll cry and at times you'll be so spittin' mad! This series has brought out such amazing characters in Wes and Jack and not to mention Carey, Talon and Rush and of course the Sexy and completely badass... Samantha Wyatt! I swear, the way Alexi weaves her magic through this series, it feels like they are real people!
In Fearless, Sam is healing from her injuries and has two wonderful men vying for her love, a mystery surrounding her father and brother's death and a psychopath who is still out there and wants Sam and Jack dead. Characters from Goddess Rising are back and helping Sam in this amazing "complicated" book. We learn more about Roxanne and her role that she takes on; we see how Sam, Jack, Wes and the others are so damn strong and so unbelievably flawed and we experience the healing that takes place and how each of them grows.
If you are looking for an action-packed adventure, I strongly suggest you pick up Fearless. But be warned… once you pick it up, it is so very hard to put down!
I am so excited to see what Alexi’s next book is because if it is ANYTHING like the Complicated Creatures Series, it will surely be a huge hit!

Alexi Lawless has done it again! Fearless is yet another outstanding work, drawing the reader into the conclusion of a fascinating story with unexpected twists and turns, you will find it hard to put the book down. Every character has a strong, intertwined relationship with each other. Whether you were for team Wes or team Jack after reading the previous books in this series, you will not be disappointed in the ending. The only down side is that it has ended. Although I hope it hasn’t, as I would love to see more about some of the other characters stories, like Avi, Rox, Alejandro to name a few.
If you have not read any of Alexi Lawless books you are missing out on a great series. These are not stand alone books and you should start at the beginning with either, Goddess Rising or Complicated Creatures, Part One. I highly recommend you add any books written by Alexi Lawless on you must read list! Thank you Alexi and please keep writing such fantastic books!

Alexi Lawless is a new and inspiring author. FEARLESS is the third book in her series. You must read books one and two and her prequel first and believe me when I say you will not be disappointed. She gets you hooked in the first chapters of her books and this book is no exception. Her superhero heroine keeps you on the edge of your seat. Her characters are Spicy, HOT Hot and oh so complicated that you will be reading into the wee hours of the night. Make sure you have time to read because you won't be able to put it down. I have loved this series from the beginning and highly recommend this series. I look forward to more or her books. She is one to watch out for. Enjoy, I sure did.

Where do I even begin. I love the story and picture the author painted with her words. She also wrote with beautiful figurative language. The story flowed well and the characters were likable. You really get invested in all of them. I loved the roller coaster ride I was on reading the story through the different characters. It was never confusing and made it that much more interesting.

SPOILER
I am so mad and in tears. I cannot believe she ended up with Jack, BOOOOO! I never liked him. He was suck a sneaky snake and I did not believe their love would last. I just knew at the charity event that Wes would leave and Jack would stay, this wise versa happening. I loved Wes so much. It would have been one thing for them not to end up together-fine, but to kill him off for no reason?!?!?!?! He was the better man and truly loved Sam. I loved reading their back history and was rooting for them to finally make it, which I thought they would now. I am just so heartbroken over Wes.

Kindle Unlimited.

Read June 2019
I read all three books concurrently as part of the boxed set, so I'm going to have the same review for all three. Since the first two books end on a cliffhanger, I figured that was the easiest way to go.

I've been on a re-reading kick, and I remember really liking this series. For lack of a true genre, I'd put this under romantic suspense. It it well written and full of feels. Sometimes I want to sob, sometimes I'm sitting on the edge of my seat, and sometimes I'm flushed from steamy scenes, but NEVER am I bored.

Samantha and Jack are both flawed characters, but watching them grow and interact is magic.

I'm sort of in a book coma, and I want to read more about the other characters, ESPECIALLY Roxy. Right. Now.

Absolutely stunning! I waited to complete the series before writing my review and of course I read each book back to back, not sparing a second.
I was captured and transfixed by the first chapter in the first book. I was intrigued by the action packed story line. I fell in love with each and every complex character. What I absolutely loved most about the book though is how deep Alexi went with the thought process and psychological dialogue in the book. The books were very well written and I look forward to seeing what else Alexi has for us in the future. I have definitely added her to my favorite authors list.

Ok this series is highly suggested to read/read-along. I was at first disappointed and confused in the first book as to who the characters were until the 3rd chapter. I wish the author wrote another series. Will be looking out for another adventure.

Lawless has done it again! Fearless: Complicated Creatures Part 3 is her best yet. I read this book as an ARC for an honest review. This series has been an amazing journey. We've been getting to know Samantha and Jack and Wes. In Fearless, an intense character from Goddess Rising returns to play the role of Sam's protector. Roxanne from previous books takes on a larger role assisting Sam and we learn more about her. Sam must heal from her near-death injuries, while dealing with two men vying for her love. Add in a maniac who wants her and Jack dead and the mystery surrounding her father and brother's deaths. This book is action-packed, and passion-filled. The series was aptly named Complicated Creatures. I loved the character development through the series, how these people are strong yet flawed. How they finally begin healing and growing through their circumstances and each other. The way Lawless intertwines these characters we've grown to love (or strongly dislike), is incredible. We are given such insight into their souls. They seem like real people instead of just characters in a book. Fearless wraps up the Complicated Creatures series beautifully. I look forward to reading more by Alexi Lawless.

My heart is still breaking!

This was an amazing series and an excellent book. I was on pins and needles the entire time. I couldn't decide how I hoped it would end. I kept wavering back and forth. There were just as many times I felt neither deserved her and why the hell couldn't she have been interested in Rush or Talon??? I even felt Jamie was a better option at certain times. I won't give away how it ends but I will tell you, your in for a bumpy ride. I love an Author who isn't predictable and Alexi had my head spinning, while my heart was breaking. Definitely a must read.

Samantha is a woman filled with secrets. She's made many allies...or has she? Were they allies she made or carefully constructed situations pre-planned by others? Is Wes really as erring in their relationship or was he forced to make his decisions? Is Jack Sam's real soul mate or another planted relationship? Will Sam find the answers? Will she finally be able to have closure on the past? Will she finally find true love? Alexi Lawless keeps you guessing all the way to the end! Her decision to take longer to write the final chapters, in order to fully develop Sam's character, is a definite win!

I waited, along with many others, all summer for this book to be released. If you haven't read this series from the beginning, that's where you need to start. Goddess Rising, Complicated Creatures, and Hell or High Water should be on your reading list before this Part Three sequel. I loved reading all these books and was completely consumed with reading all of the previous books. Then this one wraps them all up and brings the journey through Samantha Wyatt, Jack Wyatt, and Wes Elliott all to an ending. The other characters along the way are complex and interesting. I highly recommend reading all of the series and can't wait for another book from author Alexi Lawless.

No spoilers... By far one of the most complex, deep books I've read! When I first started the series, I questioned whether if the book was for me... based on military, espionage, etc., but I soon figured out that Lawless was setting the stage and that she did! I loved, loved this series and hope there are more! Soon... This series was not a fast read, there are hours and hours of reading, which I love. I do wish I had read Goddess Rising first! There was nothing that I didn't love about these books... absolutely the best!

Fearless is the final book to the thriller of Samantha, Wesley, and Jack. The book was an amazing conclusion to the Complicated Creatures series. The high intensity that readers enjoyed from the first two books and prequel, only increased as Sam tries to decide where her heart belongs, while she tries to keep herself alive. The writing is flawless and full of twists and turn! I was unable to put the book down from the first page to the last!

Satisfying conclusion, if sad...

This is easily the best book of the series.

I thought Wes's fate was foreshadowed...sadly. Jack and Sam had to find their real maturity., and they seem to have done so. Can Sam live without being hands-on in dangerous situations?? Run her businesses and let her operators handle the exciting work??

I'd love to read more about Roxy and Ari..a new series about them?

I loved this story. Sam is amazing. I have been waiting for this book for a long time and it was worth the wait. I hope Roxanne's story is next. Although I wouldn't mind more on Sam and the man she ended up with. Thanks for a fantastic book

Best series...didn't want it to end

Loved the twists and turns. So few novels about strong, smart and business savvy women. Throw in a love story and military heroine and you have a unique story like no other. Heartfelt writing at its finest.

Intense!

Loved all of them, but it took a long yime to get into this one. I was afraid to see how it ends, and afraid of who Sam would end up with. This book was as intense as the others but love how it ended. Wish their story wasn't over though.
