Dathisbrth is the debut novel of the author. When it comes to debut novels many people imagine it to be written on a common topic. Basically that's what I used to believe. But coming across some books I find myself to be very wrong! The way they are written and the topic both are so new and thrilling that I can't help myself but wonder when the author is going to write down another book.
This is what I feel after reading Dathisbrth. It's so freaking amazing. The storyline is very unique and gripping. I could feel myself devouring it up.
How would you feel if you stop seeing any shadow? How would you feel if you start loosing everything precious in your life? Like life has suddenly lost all it's meaning?
This is how they had been feeling - Chris, Sam, Oliver & Sofia. They face unrealistic events in life urging them to find out answers of the unknown, logic of the illogical, truth of the unbelievable. But they find their backs touching the wall as they get no meaningful answers and give up. Chris is not a guy who is going to give up on this yet. When the journey towards reaching the answers seem to end and all of them turn out to live their own separate successful lives, destiny seems to bring them all back together - their square - of - bonds.
At some times I kept on thinking how are the events going to turn out in the end AND the end it provided gave me goosebumps. A book that makes you judge your own instincts and incidents that happen with you. A thriller that thrills you to the core in a thrilling way. I wish a movie be made out of this book. It's gonna hit the charts really hard!
P.S. - I tried my level best to keep the review spoiler proof. There are so many things I want to tell about this book but then I am absolutely going to add spoilers. So resisting myself I say, you better read this book.

Dathisbrth is a gripping narrative of 4 friends trying to understand the strange things happening around them. It beautifully captures the popular schools of thought, that we usually see around us, manifested in its characters. It is really interesting to see how different people react to same situation. Do read.

The first thing I did after getting this book in my hand was googling the meaning of “DATHISBRTH”. My curiosity level got highly increased when google did not help me out to find any meaning for the word. From the very first chapter Author created the wonderful magic of thrills and made me little more thriller-lover. As I went deep in the story,I don’t know how many times it made me think “Oh my god, what did I just read!!!!!” or “Am I reading it correctly!!!”Sometimes I was thinking how the characters in the story were handling all those mysterious incidents in their life.how you would endure when life is playing tricks with you and you are getting no logical explanation of those? The storyline is amazing and the chapter names are also a catalyst to make you over curious about what is going to happen next.If a debut novel is full of so much uniqueness, unimaginable ups and down then I am eagerly waiting for more from the author. And oh my god!!!what an ending!!!I was just spell bound.Last 2-3 pages answered all the questions and I got the real meaning for “DATHISBRTH” and realized how perfect is the cover of the book.

Thank you very much Sujit Sood for the book.Waiting for more.

Absolutely a Page Turner!

This story grabbed me immediately! I literally couldn't stop reading and God help anyone who disturbed me. The only way I did was because I simply couldn't stay up any longer and passed out on the pillow. If it wasn't because I have to go to work this book would've been completed in 24 hours. This story keeps you going and wondering what is really going on. It's a story wrapped around theory. Well, theory for outside speculating readers but for me I completely resonate with the author. It's facts as far as I'm concerned. I am on his page and feel the author and I could have never ending hours of excellent conversations. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The ending was perfect! Excellent exceptional story line written to have you open your own eyes to wonder and think about what are you really doing?

Title shrills story freaks out

A commendable job by writer to take reader through the roller coaster of life and death, question one's own existence in the prism of four close friends.
Although on his debut but Watch out for the writer for days to come...he may surprise with his uncanny story telling that is more or less to spell bound the audience.

I read Datisbrth after a long break from novels. And the book kept me hooked until the very end - totally unputdownable. The plot is brilliant, the characters are relatable, the storytelling is smooth, and the climax is absolutely mind-blowing! Every thread is so well connected that you're surprised as and when you realise them. Given that it's the first novel of the writer, I'm amazed he attempted and pulled off such a complex plot and did justice to them. A must read!

There are books and then THERE ARE Books! This one definitely belongs to the later category! Dathisbrth is a compelling thriller with a strong plot, a story that will appeal to readers who enjoy moving away from the traditional reading experience! Highly recommended and a definite must have on your book shelf!
