Nixie Fitzgerald is locked in a prison of her own making.
After her failed marriage, she built too many walls to let her guard down completely. There was no satisfaction in the few relationships she managed to have after the divorce, and going further than the third interaction takes trust – something Nixie will never give to a man freely again. The scars of her past run too deeply.
When Jackson Hancock enters her world in a tempestuous crash of chaos, he shakes the very foundation Nixie has built, and she has no choice but to open her eyes and see the formidable man for what he is. There is no hiding from Jackson or his intense and demanding nature, and she's no longer sure that she wants to. Everything Nixie thought she knew is challenged, and her well thought out plans for the future are replaced with a rocky path of uncertainty.
Can Jackson finally bring down Nixie's mental walls of pain and doubt, infiltrate her heart and ask her to give herself over to him in Reckless Abandon, or will Nixie’s past finally catch up with her and destroy everything?
Well holy hell?! It I wasn't curious about the BDSM lifestyle before...I sure the hell am now! I've read quite a few BDSM books up until this point and this one is quite different from the others. It wasn't just about the lifestyle, but the trust and faith that goes into having this type of relationship. Both Nixie and Jackson have their own issues. What struck me was how Jackson required Nixie to trust him, fully and and totally without question; when he, himself could not give her the same in return.
Nixie is an amazing woman, practically a saint. She's kind, caring and totally selfless, putting everyone else's feelings above her own. However, we do find out that she struggles with some major self confidence issues, stemming from her emotionally abusive father and her controlling ex-husband. These two really did a job on her and she trusts only a handful of people. I really felt bad for Nixie, but at some level could relate to her. I think this was one of the things I loved most about this book. The characters were like you and me, everyday people, going about their lives. She meets Jackson at an open house night at a BDSM club, and she was mesmerized by him from the very beginning. She found herself being open and honest with him, without really knowing why she had this level of comfort with him.
Jackson...seriously?! My God! He's amazing. He's kind, gentle, patient when he needed to be; but holy hell...when he put his Dom hat on!! Seriously, my heart was pounding, knees were weak and that need to rub my thighs together in search of some sort of relief was very prevalent! I was tempted to run to my nearest BDSM club and seek out my very own Jackson.
Even the secondary characters are great. Blaine, Jackson's long time friend, is pretty amazing as well. Even though we only get bits and pieces of him, he definitely has a presence about him. I can't wait to get to know him better!
This was my first Elle Luckett experience and by no means will it be my last. I am looking forward to reading more of her work. As this is a series, I sincerely hope that Blaine's story is next. I have a feeling that the woman that tames this man is going to have to be one hell of a woman! I'm hoping that I'm right in my assumption.... can't wait to find out!
It's no secret that Elle Luckett is an absolute master when it comes to writing steamy romance. And I bet a lot of you out there think that this is a genre that's been done to the death and that you've read it all before, right? Wrong. Totally wrong. Elle Luckett is so different from so many erotica writers, that it's hard to believe she even has to write this stuff. It reads like it's just poured out of her fingertips without her even having to try, it's that natural. Every movement of the body, every whispered word spoken, and every single fear or body conscious thought resonates with the reader so powerfully, you can't help but turn the next page over and over again.
This is a beautiful read. That's right. Beautiful. Hot... of course. It's Elle! In my opinion, no one writes sex like this woman does. I'm serious. She hits you right in the gut every time. But for me, it's more about the story behind all the sex. Every single character is rich and so well developed, you feel like you've known them your whole life. Every line serves a purpose. Every exercise of control enhances the story, the trust, the relationship between the two main characters Nixie and Jackson. I don't need to go into too much detail about these two. To be honest, I'm one of those that prefers to go into a story completely blind so that every twist and turn of events is a surprise... and believe me, this story will leave you completely surprised, shocked, in love and begging for more antics from The Gilded Knot.
If you're looking for a new BDSM writer that can hold your attention with more than just the sex scenes, you have got to, GOT TO read Elle Luckett's work. I was blown away with her first book, The Favor. Then I was blown away with this one, too. It's hard to imagine her ever putting a foot wrong in the erotica genre, because this girl doesn't just write to shock... she writes to make you believe, understand and appreciate every single person's fantasies and secret desires.
It's a rare author who can leave you in awe after you think you've seen and read it all before. Elle Luckett is, without a doubt, one of those rare authors for me.
EEEEEP! I loved this book! I read a lot of BDSM books just because the lifestyle is so interesting to me. This one was just so much.... more. It wasn't just about BDSM, but about two people who need to learn to trust and let the past go. This is the Going in I knew Nixie had her issues. But what I did not know was that Jack has his own issues as well. I loved the characters! Even the secondary ones. They played a huge role in the steps these two take to find their true wants and needs.
Nixie is about as sweet as her name sounds. I love and envied her! Bless her heart she has some issues with men though. I wanted to hug her so freakin bad. This woman has been through the ringer. But shes fought her way out and is finally living a some what peaceful life. She just needed an extra push. Boy does she get it!!! EEEEP! I felt every one of her emotions as if I were there. It was such a refreshing read. To feel and fall for the characters.
Jack.... just damn! This man! OMG! He is setting pretty at the top of my favorite book men. Hes earned that spot! Hes sexy, funny, sweet, alpha, dominant... Hell I cant even list all the things he is. But I sure as hell love each and every one. Even though I wanted to junk punch him for being stupid I still love him. This man is so considerate and loving. I am jealous of Nixie.
This is my first read by Ellie and it will most definitely not be the last. I love her writing style. I love how she made the words flow effortlessly. I am hoping so hard that there will be more books from this story. The characters are all amazing and hold a special place in my heart. Sometimes taking a chance on a new to me author doesn't pay off, but this time I am so very glad I took the chance. GREAT READ!
Gah.. I don't even know where to begin with this little gem of a read. I guess I'll start by saying, holyfreakinhellliciousmotherholyhotnessofhot.
Yeah, I just totally said that.
I had no idea what I was diving into when I opened the first page of this book. Loved Nixie from beginning to end. I loved her gentleness and I especially loved her naughty, inquisitive side. Jackson was just a total babe throughout, captivating me with his cockiness and experience in the world of bdsm. At times.. Ok, most of the time, I wanted to be Nixie. The lucky cow. Really? I just want my own Jackson.
This book is full of twists and turns, and I literally adored every word, chapter and emotion that it made me feel. I've not really read many BDSM books. I guess I may have been a little wary of them. The not knowing etc.. But let me just get this out there.. I HAVE OFFICIALLY BEEN CONVERTED!
I stupidly attempted to read this story whilst waiting for my kids to come out of school. Be warned! You may feel slightly flushed and little, umm.. yeah.. So, don't make the mistake I did. Unless you have a ton of excuses hidden inside of you ready to dish out to the other mums and dads when they question why you look a little.. weird.. Like, you've just hit a 10k run or something.
Needless to say, I have never in my life been so excited to get home and make a start on the dinner early just so I could pick up from where I had left off.
Elle has a magical way of weaving each word, drawing you in from the very beginning. I am thoroughly anticipating her next release and have no doubt it will be as steamy, if not more steamy, than the last.
When I grow up, I want to be just like Elle Luckett. Where do I start to tell you how amazing her latest offering is?
I'm no stranger to her words, lapping up every single thing she writes like a starving dog, and there's a reason for that. Quite simply, whatever genre, whatever topic, whatever lifestyle, world or issues she takes on, she nails with the absolute finesse of a consummate professional.
In Reckless Abandon, we have the first of what I hope will become a series of books set within the world of BDSM and specifically a group of private clubs called The Gilded Knot Group.
In a hugely saturated genre, it takes a truly special book to stand out, and Elle Luckett delivers on every single level. It is a BDSM themed book, but Reckless Abandon is NOT simply a sex book. Here, we have an amazing storyline that explores every day issues that we all deal with from time to time, set against a backdrop of outstandingly written intimacy.
The sex scenes are scorching hot and intense, covering a lifestyle that is so often misrepresented in fiction with refreshing accuracy and sensitivity. Jackson is what I would term a "real Dom." He's not just a forceful man who wants to control everybody around him. He has a deeply engrained need to take care of his partner, something that poor Nixie hasn't seen a lot of from the men in her life until she happens upon Jackson. I'll leave the circumstances surrounding that meeting to Elle to show in her beautiful way, because believe me when I tell you that no words in my repertoire will ever do justice to this lady's immense talent.
They say that the pen is mightier than the sword, and in Elle Luckett's case, it feels like those words are completely true. She can make your heart sing with her stunning prose and descriptive writing. She can make you laugh until your belly aches with her dialogue and the fantastic sarcastic wit of her beautifully rounded characters. There is never a single person mentioned in one of her books who doesn't have a well developed profile. You won't come away from Reckless Abandon only in love (and lust) with Jackson and Nixie. You will, quite literally, want to immerse yourself in their world and hang out with all the other amazing people who exist in Elle's imagination, who she so kindly shares with us through her words. Each character has their own distinctive voice that brings them to life in your mind as you read.
The places are so beautifully described that you feel as though you could truly be there. (And boy will you want to be when Jackson gets going!) The writing is lyrical and poetic, only ever enhancing the story without bogging it down with extraneous detail. This author just seems to bleed talent. While reading, you always feel in safe hands, knowing that wherever she takes the story, she'll do so with finesse, dragging you along for an epic ride that you just can't help but be sucked into.
If I could give this book a million stars, I would. As it is, I'm forced to settle for five sizzling hot, wish-I-could-be-Nixie-for-a-day stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book is brilliant. I loved it. The fact that the leading female, Nixie, is a real woman with curves and self-doubt made me love her more. Ok if my date said to me lets go to a BDSM private party, I would properly run for the hills. But it was awesome that she lifted her chin and basically said game face on let’s do this. The book has a lovely pace and is very easy to pick up and get engrossed in. There are some very hot scenes and yes there is a BDSM theme running through it but it’s not heavy and in places very light hearted.
For someone who had big trust issues, Nixie did fall in love and totally trusted Jackson very quickly. But hey this is bookland and that’s allowed. Jackson is very much a Dom and does the alpha male so very well. There was times he said sit and you asked where do you want me Sir??? I liked the way Elle Luckett showed both sides of the characters, it’s not all flogging and delayed gratification. You saw Jackson's weaker side and saw that just because he's a Dom it doesn’t mean that Nixie couldn’t rule him. As she grew to trust Jackson, Nixies character developed and she became a feisty minx.
There is a twist in the story and one I didn’t see coming. A blast from the past for one of the lead characters enters just in the last few chapters. This puts a spanner in the works for Nixie and Jackson. Be warned this is part of a series and it does leave you wanting more and shouting at the author to write quicker!
I like the author’s style of writing and will look out for her books. She’s a new author to me and I can’t wait to read the next in the series. It’s funny, sexy the characters are believable and there are twists. There’s even a dog! Brilliant.
Where do I start? Nixie has self esteem issues that run into trust issues and her friend Carl can see beyond that there is beauty. But he doesn't tell her the party they are going to is gonna unleash that beauty. The Gilded Knot is a BDSM club and let's just say Nixie is none to thrilled but stays anyway. Jackson who is the manager of The Gilded Knot and a member is introduced to Nixie and for good reason because they are a perfect fit. Both have trust issues but Jackson will earn Nixie's but forget to have her earn all of his. Each character is broken but can fix each other until....... Jackson has brought out Nixie's inner sub with his Dominant side, she is a natural once she has a better understanding. They also act outside of the club as people. They find that they have similar commonalities, so they can be people outside of the club. Both have fallen hard for each other and I couldn't be more happy for them but the past is going to invade (by words spoken) and the happy becomes misery. Can Nixie forgive the one person she let in and trusted with her heart? Elle you hit this one out of the ballpark and I can't wait for book 2. You had me felling everything they were feeling and that is great writing. The story flowed nicely and writing from both POV is my all time style. *** Reviewed for Sweet and Spicy Reads, ARC provided in return for honest Review***
A Failed marriage and trust issues, that is what Nixie is left with. Now as she navigate the dating world again, she is asked "Do you Trust me?" by her current date, Carl. The answer to his question is what this book is based on, trust issues. So, when she answers him, it is no surprise that the answer is no. However she takes a chance and is proven that her trust was not to be given, but it will lead her to the person that will ultimately win her trust and break down her walls. Jackson is the owner of The Gilded Knot, a BDSM club. He has an open house night where members can bring non-members in to see if they would enjoy this lifestyle. He never expected to find the one that would heal him and complete him, but when Nixie walks in, he senses that she might be the one. This book sexy, steamy and filled with a beauty that can only come when two people trust each other without abandon. The past can come crashing back but they will hold stronger when they are together. I love reading how complex they both are, not just them but all the characters in this book. I loved the healing process of completing each other so seamlessly, in both their lives outside of the club and in. a book masterfully written and I can' wait for book 2.
This book is amazing! The two main characters, Nixie and Jackson, are so well developed that they bring the story right off the pages!
I found myself crying when the author was describing Nixie and her poor self-esteem. I am not even sure that the author’s intent was to make the reader cry but the description was so well thought out, that it pulled on my heartstrings for the character.
Jackson is a very sexy, sweet, alpha male that you cannot help but love. Even the side characters were created to the point where I would like to be friends with them too!
The story itself is incredible due to the excitement, sexiness, sadness, and heartwarming parts all intertwined throughout. I would be remiss however, if I did not specifically mention about how incredibly sexy this book is! The sexual attraction between Nixie and Jackson is incredible and the scenes between the two are steeeaaaaammmyyy!! I cannot WAIT for the rest of this series to come out!!!
I have found a new BDSM author!!! This was such a good read!
When Nixie is tricked into going to a BDSM open night, her life as she knows it changes in the space of a few hours. But the biggest thing about BDSM is trust, Nixie has learned that she can't trust anyone but herself for the most part, so how will this work?
Jackson spots Nixie and is instantly enchanted, will get a chance with her or will she run?
I am a long time fan of the BDSM genre and have read quite a few, and this was very well written, and had some super off the charts hot sexy times. The ending was left a bit open, so fingers crossed this means more to come! I give this 5 stars.
Well well well Elle Luckett has done it again, another amazing book by this very talented lady! She writes all the beautiful and steamy ;) words <3 I LOVED it!!
It really is a beautiful story about trust and love and overcoming your fears....
I looove Nixie (that name is just awesome!), she the sweetest person ever, but also can be tough when needed! And Jackson is HOT...also sweet, caring, protective....*sigh* you're gonna love him!! And you're gonna love the side characters! They are awesome <3
"She wanted more, so much so it was no longer just her body that was open to him. He had stolen her mind too"
I can't wait to read next story in this wonderful series! Five shining stars for this amazing author! Go and read it you won't be dissapointed!!
I voluntarily Reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book for Hot Box Reviews and OMG where to start I just love these kinds of stories about how one look one word one touch can change your whole look on life and I this book it did just that I have to say Jackson is the best choice for Nickie but I don't want to say to much because I want everyone to read their steamy story for yourself because if you are like me and I am a very emotional reader and this book brought out all of my emotions then I got to say don't miss it. I give this book 5 stars. Thank you so much for this amazing opportunity to read and review your book Elle Luckett I love you style and will be reading more of her books
Elle Luckett's "Reckless Abandon" is the first tale in the Gilded Knot series. I love, love, love this! I love the characters and their flaws. Very well-written and descriptive. Jackson is soooo hotttt! Nixie is such a strong, resilient girl. He really sees her amazing heart. I can't wait for #2 to come out! I need it now!
Steamy, angsty, erotic fun read. More than a just BDSM , the story of Nixie and Jack is more about letting go and trust. Loved the characters and the flow of the story. Some twists and turns made this a worthwhile read❣
To me this book is so special, its a beautifully well written story that follows a new submissive find herself with an experienced Dom showing how to ease her into the lifestyle and what is expected of her.
Nixie is a regular unhappy woman that has had two men in her life that made her feel worthless, so her friend told her he was taking her to a party, unbeknown to her that it was a BDSM open night, she was scared and wanted to run, but she was introduced to the Handsome Dom Jackson, who talked to her, explained what was going on, watched her every move, and persuaded her to get a membership and become his submissive and return the next week to start her training.
Jackson was a handsome Dom that knew what he wanted and what he needed from a sub, and from the moment he clapped eyes on Nixie he knew that he wanted her to be his, wear his cuffs and obey his every command, but he had trust issues and wouldn't let anyone in too far due to his past.
They were perfect together, when in the scene or when they were going about their everyday lives, Nixie loved Jackson and trusted him with her life, she was nervous at the start and didn't believe him when he complimented her, it took a long time and punishments to realise he was telling her the truth, but can this really last?
The other characters at the Manor, the Doms and subs play a big part, and enhance the story, yes there is a lot of sex and BDSM scenes but nothing out of place, everything precise, enjoyable and true to the lifestyle.
I thought that The Favor was the best you could read in this genre, but this book just blew my mind, it sticks in your head and you go over and over it in your mind, even keeping you awake at night.
I am in awe at Elle's writing, this book has left me wanting more from the Gilded Knot series, i have such a book hangover now!
5 easy and solid stars, would give more if I could.
Wow! Where will I start my review. I just finished reading Reckless Abandon few minutes ago. My apology from the author and the book blog tour as it took me few days to finish reading the book. This book is oh so good. Though I am not into BDSM, Master Jackson and Nixie will guide you through the pain and pleasure from their relationship.
Trust is an important lesson that I learned while reading this book. Though trust is hard to earn, you have to put effort, heart and soul once the person gave you that power. This book is so hot. You need to take a cold shower and bring your toys out. I knew I played mine twice. You just cannot help yourself but relieve the tingling out.
This book is so emotional, intense, wild and suspense. You might need a box of Kleenex near you as those emotions will get through you. You will adore your fury friends more too. The book is hard to put it down. It is so good. My very first time to read the author's writing and am looking forward to more of Jack and Nixie story.
Disclosure:
I received the ARC from the book blog tour that I am part of.
What a book this was. I have read some books with BDSM but this one, and it's characters effortlessly pulled me. Nixie and Jackson had my heart thumping. The other characters were amazing with how they cared and didn't hold back. I like the way the author built these characters and the respect for BDSM to where it wasn't cheese. All around I glad I read this book. I will be looking into more books by this author.
This book had me giggling at times, excited and burning hot! Download these books from her, they’re great! This is the third book I’ve read of hers and enjoyed them all!
Reckless Abandon is the sophomore book by Elle Luckett. Reckless Abandon is a good story with interesting characters. It is also one of those reads that I have a hard time reviewing because I have mixed feelings about the way the story unfolds. I like a lot about it, but there are a few things that feel a little undone or incomplete. Let me explain.
Things I Love:
The Story: The story is told in third person, alternating points of view of Nixie and Jackson. The reader can get in the heads of these two characters and understand what makes them tick. The BDSM backdrop is stimulating. I enjoy that the lifestyle isn’t exploited. Ms. Luckett shows the emotions, loyalty, and love among the Gilded Knot community. The camaraderie among the main players at the club is depicted perfectly and makes the reader want to know more about each of them.
The Characters: The heroine, Nixie Fitzgerald, is a perfect female character for me. She is a strong woman with a terrible past but soft and tender when appropriate. She has issues, but they don’t hold her back, in fact, the mix of strong and tender is perfect to make her feel real. Her friends are loyal, and new people she meets are drawn to her. Nixie grows nicely over the course of the book.
Jackson Hancock, the hero, is a hot, alpha male, also with issues that he needs to address but avoids. He doesn’t get involved with women after a couple relationships went bad. Jack is a Dom and manager of Gilded Knot, a BDSM club. He is troubled, but he is never portrayed as a borderline abusive. (I hate when that happens.) He likes to play, but he is respectful even when testing his sub’s limits.
The support characters are a perfect cast to support the two main characters. My favorites are Deena, Carl, and Blaine. Deena is Nixie’s receptionist and advocate. Carl is Nixie’s friend who introduces her to Gilded Knot and the lifestyle. I need to know more about Blaine, the owner of Gilded Knot and the rest of the staff. The glimpse we get into these characters’ personalities are fascinating, and each can have a book of their own.
I love the progression of all the characters. It goes without saying that Nixie and Jack are going to meld but, from start to finish, the entire cast grows in love and trust with one another. The little we know about these characters so far is enough to whet the readers’ appetite for future books.
The Setting: The Gilded Knot is an interesting club with a lot of potential for intense scenes and story lines. The small town setting is also an interesting addition to the story. While it is a small town, it isn’t small enough that everyone knows everyone, but there are opportunities to run into people you know creating funny encounters.
What Missed: The big reveal. It didn’t surprise me at all. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing, though, what missed for me is the way it played out. I question how an exclusive club blunders the background check of one of its members. Especially when the background of Nixie is so extensive. How did Blaine miss the connection? This interaction will work as is if it occurs earlier in the story. It just didn’t click for me.
My other disappointment is that parts of the story seem redundant. After a few times, it gets old hearing Jackson’s intentional refusal to share his past with Nixie. After the first three or four times, we get it. For me, this could be edited a little. The pacing suffers from too much repetition. One of my complaints with relatively new authors is that they follow the old romance formulas and Reckless Abandon is no different. I’m not saying they shouldn’t be used; I would like to see some of these troupes expanded more in the next book so I can experience the events internally.
The story misses “the feels”. A few times the story is reminiscent of kids drawing out a recap of the day, and I’m waving my hands saying get to the point. These scenes break the connection that builds between the reader and the characters. It is a little frustrating, especially when the ending moves too quickly. I found it a little anti-climactic. I believe this is because we will learn more about this couple in the future books in the series but I think a bit more is needed. Instead of the repetition, I would like to experience the shrink sessions or the jailhouse visit instead of the summarized recap.
The Gilded Knot series has a lot of potential. I look forward to learning more about the other characters in the future. I believe Ms. Luckett has a good foundation with her writing skills that will grow as she works her craft. I recommend the book and hope to see more by Elle Luckett soon. It really is a good book with no cliffhangers and the promise of more in the future.
In a world of social media, body shaming has taken over. Being a woman, body shaming is now part of our daily routine. Can I wear this? Should I wear this? Does this make me look fat? Elle Luckett breaks down these horrible barriers and opens our eyes with Reckless Abandon.
"Conquering fears was all well and good, and it sounded like a solid plan on paper, but putting herself out there to be ridiculed wasn't going to help with her confidence."
Nixie has always been told she was fat, ugly, undesirable. Hear that enough and that is how you see yourself in a daily basis. Being newly single, Nixie tries to find that love she deserves, but having zero self confidence, she struggles to accept a new partner. On a whim, she allows a friend to take her to a BDSM club. Seeing people so free and open, terrifies Nixie. Until Jackson enters her sight. Jackson is immediately taken aback by Nixie's beauty, but he sees her walls. Can he help her see who she really is? And can he break down her walls by inviting her into the world of BDSM?
"Right now, she was an eager ball of inexperience opened up to him for the taking, and he was willing to teach her before taking her hard and deep until she screamed his name."
Even with Reckless Abandon having BDSM as its main theme, I couldn't help but see the vanilla, and how Elle helped women see that by being any shape, you have true beauty inside you. That sometimes, we have to take that leap and listen to someone's positive words, and allow ourselves to believe them. Thank you Elle! (And the hot steamy sex is a very welcome addition!)
"He reached out and ran a finger along the top of the lace, making Nixie's breath shudder from her in pleasure. She’d never felt as attractive as she did in this one moment with him. The feeling was completely alien to her."
Lies deceit, abuse, love, passion. There are so many good things about this book. The writing, the plot, the chemistry between the characters, it all was there and came together in a perfect mixture. Nixie (I so love her name) and Jackson come together both for different reasons but soon find themselves lost in their fight for each other and in finding that missing piece. I enjoyed every second of this rollercoaster ride because it was a spiral of emotions that reached through the pages. This story will touch even the hardest of heart reader. Nixie goes through so much to be able to come out on top. There is so much that will keep you interested till the end of the book. Jackson and Nixie story was everything it was supposed to be a story of struggle of love, lost, a second chance of love and passion. This book kept me interested from page one and when I wanted to throw my kindle I couldn’t put it down. Luckett wrote an excellent book and I cannot wait to see what she will write next because if this is an indication then I know I will love it .

I have been really needing a good BDSM book and this one hit the spot. This author is a first for me but she's definitely someone I'll be keeping on my radar. Nixie Fitzgerald has been through the ringer. She's been put down & verbally abused by both her father and her husband. Luckily after an affair she caught her husband having she managed to divorce him, but unfortunately she's left with a truckload of self esteem issues. Jack is one swoon worthy H. He's sweet, funny, sexy and 100% alpha Male (when it counts ;)). Although I must admit I didn't think he was going to have his own baggage so that made for a frustrating read at times. Together nixie and jack meet through a local BDSM club through a mutual friend, and although this has more steam than I knew what to do with, it's also a journey for both our characters on trust and letting go of their pasts so they can move forward. It was a great read & id like to see where the author takes us from here.
Ali Reckless Abandon is the first novel I've read by Luckett and I am interested in checking out more of her books. As a Dom who runs a BDSM club, Jackson was definitely the type of guy that would peak my interest. I found him to be a lot of things a good Book boyfriend should be. He came across as understanding, funny, compassionate, loving, and dominant. Woven into the story is panty melting sex scenes in addition to finding trust in not only yourself but in others. At times I felt this story was a bit repetitive and dragged, but once I got far enough in I found myself biting my nails to reach its conclusion and see if Nixie and Jackson get their happy ever after. I found the 3rd person alternating point of view to be distracting to the story and made it harder to connect with the characters. The secondary characters were great additions and it built up enough questions that I would be excited to read more books in this series.
Well ,Miss Luckett has done it again.A beautifully, exquisite story. Nixie and Jackson,*big sigh* are just perfect for each other. They bounce off each other so well, not just sexually;) and physically also mentally too.T heir personalities too. They complement each other. They are hot and passionate but also so funny, lol, quite a few times. I love that Nixie is sassy and has an edge to her.She is an easy character to connect to and love. Jackson is playful and so funny at time. He's one delicious man that deep down has a loving hard of gold. This book I've read twice and will definitely read again.CANNOT wait for more in this amazing series.Thank you for letting us read your work,Miss.Luckett.One of the best BDSM books I have ever read.
