No Ocd: One Family's Journey Through Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

Rate this book
Frederique has "experienced" ocd for most of her life, and refuses to so much as capitalize the acronym, as she states that capitalizing it gives the disorder undue respect. In this book, she shares her own personal experiences, thoughts and feelings, as well as what has helped with symptoms. Family shares their thoughts and feelings as well, making this a valuable book for people with ocd, their friends and family and anyone interested in the topic of ocd. Frederique shares her story in an often appropriate and non-offensive humorous fashion, making this book entertaining as well as helpful and enlightening. Frederique grew up in rural central Minnesota and now lives in a bigger city in Minnesota. Both have provided her with ocd challenges to face.

Outstanding book! Both intriguing and terrifying, the author takes us on a very personal and honest journey about OCD. And although the subject matter is very serious, there is humour and a very real warmth.
