This book of poetry is so full of raw emotions it will have you in tears! To feel the pain caused by a broken heart is one thing, but to feel it again threw another mans words! There just are no words to describe how this book will make you feel!
I really didn't know what I wanted to first beat somebody up for hurting another this way, or hug the wounded and hope I could hug the pain away! So I cried because we share the same pain! C.b. Roberts has such a way with words that he can bring up feelings you thought were long gone and healed over! Nope he just rips that scab off and makes it new again!
Make sure you have plenty of Kleenex when you read this! I read it straight threw only put it down once because it was so late I could no longer see the words. Picked it up and finished the next morning, after just 5 hrs sleep! Had to finish it!!! ❤️

Crimson Lyrics is the second collection of poems by master poet, C.b. Roberts. He rivals Poe with his use of metaphors and contradictions, sucking you into the vortex of dark, angry, confused longing for unreturned love. The way he goes from absolute acceptance to complete refusal to surrender in just a few stanzas, astounds me. Just when you think you know where he’s going with a poem, he kicks you in the heart with an ending you didn’t see coming. All of them affected me in some way, especially Escape, Lament, and Shackled. But the title poem, Crimson Lyrics, gutted me, and Tonight completely destroyed me. This is not a collection for the faint of heart as there is no happily ever after. But if you’ve ever experienced the pain of unrequited love or the heartbreak of giving your soul to the wrong person, it is a must read. 5 Stars!

Beautiful Chaos!!
There are no words to describe C.B. Roberts poetry other than beautiful chaos. The passion he conveys through his writing is written so wonderfully that it's hard not to feel every word that jumps off the page at you. Every word makes you feel as if you're on an emotional rollercoaster and no matter how gut-wrenching the next turn is, you never want to get off. Two of my favorite poems in this book were A Thousand Deaths and Forsaken, both had me in tears by the end of last verse. Once I started reading I could not stop. Poetry has always been my first love since I was a young girl and remember reading some books multiple times because I loved them so much. Well, C.B.'s writing is definitely worth reading over and over and every time he releases a new book of poetry I can't help but be excited. I can't wait for the next one and embark on a new journey of raw emotions C.B. has created for me.

Didn't think anything could top "The Hell Within Me" but Crimson Lyrics did just that!!! Never in the history of books that I have read, did any and I mean ANY ever make me so emotional!!! I have never fe!t words so deeply...shook me to the core!!! I underestimated this book, didn't think C.b. Roberts could out do his first...WOW was I so wrong!!! Have tissue on hand and be prepared for a sleepless night!!!! Awesome work C.b.!!!

Crimson Lyrics by C.B. Roberts
When I started reading this collection of poetry, I began bookmarking everything that I wanted to share in this review. I ended up with 47 bookmarks. Now I read a lot, and write a lot of reviews, but I am not good enough to share all of my favorite parts with you. You are just going to have to read it for yourselves.
C.B. Roberts writes poetry that reaches out to me on several levels. On the surface, the words are strong and compelling, often heartbreaking, but when you dig deeper, the imagery is even more profound. I found myself in many of these poems, and lost myself completely in others. If I had to choose, which thankfully I do not, Crimson Lyrics itself moved me the most. Although a wonderful set of poems to borrow, you are going to want to own this one. I know I will be going back to it often.

I enjoy poetry however it is usually a case of I see one and like it. I have never actively sought out a book of poetry. I was gifted this book and what can I say except wow this is a great collection and is emotional I have some personal favourites. However this be one that I read over and over.

The first time I read a poem from CB Roberts I knew I was reading something truly amazing. It's hard to put into words what I felt that day, he makes you feel so many things with his words.
The Hell Within Me was a truly wonderful collection of poetry. However, put simply, Crimson Lyrics is pure GREATNESS. What CB Roberts can do with pen, paper, and words is absolute magic. I will be forever grateful that, for a little while, he let me into his world.

This book is absolutely amazing! I started reading this book and had to stop because I could not see through my tears! It touches emotions that I thought could not be touched. On some of his poems I felt like I was reading about feelings that I thought I had suppressed. Especially Proof! Thank you C.b. for writing what most of us have experienced!! Must buy if you haven't already. You won't regret it! Can't wait for his next release!!

Beautiful, heartbreaking and penetrates your soul!
I honestly don't know what to say or how to say it. These poems took my breath away. You will need a box of tissues to read them. If you are looking for the perfect man to steal your heart, look no further because you found him. Everyone could learn a lesson from Mr. Roberts about loving someone. If this book doesn't touch your heart and make you want to hug this author, nothing wil.

This is my second book that I've read by. C.b. Roberts. It was fantastic! Such a beautiful book full of emotion. I can definitely see myself re-reading this book over and over. This book would make a lovely gift.

I loved this book.Full of poetry straight from the heart,sad,uplifting and beautiful.Anyone who ever had their heart broken needs to read this.It says everything you can't find the words to express.Id recommend to anyone.
