If I have to burn down the entire city and give up everything to get her out, I’ll do it in a heartbeat.
Sophie’s only hope of escaping is to trust him, but she has been burned too many times in her past.
He’s violent, possessive, and cocky as hell. He’s trouble, and Sophie has more than enough trouble to deal with already. So why does her skin feel like it’s on fire when she looks at him? And why is she wasting her time with his promises?
But Vash al Domitus does not make false promises. When he wins the right to choose a slave as his claim, he chooses Sophie. And once she’s his, he’s never letting go.
They will both need to work together if they are going to survive against deadly gladiators, corrupt guards, and one of the most powerful slavers in the city...Vash’s father.
Vash is the fourth book in the Rebels of the Primus series, but can be read as a standalone. This page-turning science fiction book has plenty of steamy romance, action, and political intrigue. There are absolutely NO cliffhangers and a guaranteed happily ever after.
I love this book. It's kind of Spartacus meets Star-Crossed to me. It has the violent arena battles between gladiators like Spartacus, the humanoid aliens like Star-Crossed, plus a bit of adventure on an alien planet. There's actions, adventure, suspense and lots of steamy passion. The characters are interesting and the story is well written. Well done, Elyssa. I'm looking forward to the next book.
I enjoyed it, there were parts where I though the humor and conversation was a little strange considering the situation at times. For example having a girls high school type heart to heart over a creature that comes to rescue you from slavery seconds after he's been captured seems a little silly. But I did enjoy the and I'll be looking for the next one.
A lot surprised by this book. It was full of action and all the other good stuff that's in Ms Abbott's book but I found this one a little slow reading. Don't get me wrong, it was a good book, I, personally found it this way. It is definitely a book to read in the series and a keeper
I really enjoyed this book. The plot of the story is well written, I thought that Vash and Sophie were able to find love where they where was really sweet. I also found the funny parts really funny. I love Elyssa's books very much, I would recommend Vash to others.
Vash is the ultimate assassin. A former colleague of Gage, he has taken on a mission to recover a kidnapped human, Sophie, from slavers. Little did he realise that this would lead to him facing his estranged Slaver father and finding his mate. Add in struggles with his inner dragon, who is trying to take over and poor Vash has his job cut out for him!
Sophie is used to facing abuse, usually at the hands of her drunken father. She knows that to escape further torture, just button up and don't flinch. She throws herself in front of others and makes friends quickly with other slaves. When a scary masked Primus storms into their cells and tries to take her away, she refuses to leave with out the other girls and he ends up captured.
Now being forced to fight as a Gladiator, Vash and Sophie now have to work together to get out of these bloody games. The chance to once again destroy his fathers plans is always a bonus.
Absolutely loved this! Vash is just such a lethal weapon wrapped around a heart of gold! Sophie may seem broken and fragile but she has a core of steel! Fabulous!
Vash is a great story! Despite the dark subject matter, I think that this might have been the best story in the series so far! I got it in exchange for an honest review and I was a bit behind on reading it but when I did, I couldn’t stop reading it. Anyone who had been in Sophie’s position as a child can understand her point of view and why she saw things the way she did. Vash, on the other hand, while you expected him to be utterly brutal and ruthless—and he was, was also kind, gentle, more patient than I would have thought his character would be, and nurturing in his own way. They made a great couple and I was very happy for the ending. I’m just wondering what he did to Draxis that changed their dynamic although as far as any of the dragons in the series goes, Draxis is most definitely my favorite!
Vash takes us to a new part of this world/Universe
Vash, in his effort to keep a promise to Gage, and repay a debt, takes the reader on a journey to explore a whole new part of this creative world. Thoughtful characters, with rich back stories, and dynamic strengths have drawn me into each story in this series.
I was gifted with a copy of this story, and switched to the Kindle Unlimited version when it was published.
I have read all of the stories in this series, but feel this stands nicely on its own as a done in one tale. We met both Vash and Sophie briefly in Gage's story, but I did not feel any of those scenes were so integral to a readers understanding of this book that Gage must be read first.
I've enjoyed all the series so far and this book is no different, they are addictive, very hard to put down and each book has a slightly different plot so they are definitely not boring or same old same. The violence, fighting for your life, escapes, guns, big bad aliens with big assets Hhhmmm plus the ability to shift into big bad !!!!!!! I also loved our heroine, broken but so very willing to stand up for others, to put herself in harms way to protect her friends and those that could not protect themselves, having that instinct to stand up and be special. I'm very much looking forward to more more more for Ms Ebbott Definitely a book and series I would recommend.
I've read all the books in this series and while they all have an obvious cheese level, thus one was the worst. This story had a foundation of substance to it, but the author chose to overlook it for raunch and serious underdeveloped characters. It was probably the most unrealistic character match to a storyline I've ever read, and I've read probably a few thousand books in the past 30 years. I seriously doubt I'll read this author again. She seems to be regressing instead of improving as she publishes.
Another good book by Elyssa ebbott. I enjoyed it a lot. The only thing I would have loved more is she took you back to what a shifter of primus is and why. This was a stand alone novel which a lot of people love, but I enjoy meeting the characters from previous books, seeing how they are and what they have been up too. I read the first three books out of order and loved them all. I will definitely read all her books and will be following her.
I really enjoyed Sophie and Vash story. After reading Gage's I was super excited to see what was in store for Vash and I wasn't disappointed. This book was full with lots of action hot chemistry between Sophie and Vash. What I love most about Vash was when things look bad he always try to make Sophie smile. I also like Sophie she was strong, and fierce heroine. Overall a great read I can't wait to see what going to happen next. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
This is another fantastic part to this series. Vash was trying to rescue Sophie who was a slave. He did not tell her who his family is and when Sophie finds out she lost her trust in Vash. Will Sophie learn to trust him again received this book for an honest review. This is a quick read but you will throughly enjoy it. You do not have to read the other books in this series but it would help you understand the reason Vash is trying to rescue Sophie.
My favorite so far. Sophie is on of the strongest minded females of the series. She might of just been kidnapped and made into a slave, but she never loses who she is. Vash is an arrogant primus that is doing a favor for a friend by trying to save Sophie. Of course nothing goes as planned. There is some strong violence and some very steamy scenes. Can't wait until the next one.
I liked this book. It combines a gladiator theme and Sci-fi setting. Sophie, the heroine, was captured and made a slave. The hero, Vash, allows himself to become captured. He becomes a gladiator. He is allowed choose a slave girl. She is kept close to him, which is a good thing as his primary goal is to rescue her. The fact that the owner of some of the slaves is his father is an obstacle to be over come. There many obstacles. Worth reading.
A dragon shifter alien falls in love with the earth woman he is suppose rescue which changes his mission
A earth woman is kidnapped an forced into slavery with a lot of other species of women as slaves as well. As she spots her friend in the same cell an try to reunite she is whipped for it in defiance. A rescuer trays to rescue her an she fights against him an gets him captured as well. Her stubborn defiance worked against her that time too . 18+
Every single book in this series will have you turning the pages to see what happens next!!! I'm SOOOOO RECOMMENDING YOU PICK UP THIS WHOLE SERIES AND ENJOY IT WITH ME FOR IT'S FANTASTIC READING!! All her wonderful characters are bigger than life, totally Alpha Male yet extremely charismatic protective instincts are brought into place for their females and those they care about.
This book was really good. We meet the woman that has tamed the mighty Vash. Will his father accept the news? What will his fathers reaction be to him being a slave? What will happen when she learns the truth? There is so much going on in this story. We learn the dark side to the planet but can it be changed? What will happen next and who is next to fall?
Great book. I thought this was a good new direction for these books after Gaius' demise. Vash and Sophie are complex and compelling characters. This story is action packed. Recommend this book for those who love scifi romance. Received this ARC for free for an honest review.
Excitingly different...steamy sexual chemistry and love taken by emotional force...in the very best of ways...terrific give and take of control physically and emotionally...Loved the story and characters!
It's a very complex story and was very entertaining. Characters that you can connect to and feel like your apart of the story. You go on a wonderful adventure with these guys. You will not want to stop reading until your finished. I was given this story for a honest review.
The story was exciting with enough action, fear, and steamy love scenes to keep you on the edge of your seat. As usual the characters were awesome and this book was as good as the other one in the series. Love them and keep them coming.
ARC review For honest review. While Sophie is held in a slave camp she meets bash who is there to save her . This story has adventure, and lots of great writing.
I really enjoyed reading this book. Vash is my favorite Primus so far. These two characters have the perfect chemistry for each other. I received an ARC for an honest review.
