Nineteen year old, India Beaumont has bipolar II disorder. Living in a world where solar flares have reshaped society, she must fight to survive in Ward Four where the only people thriving are part of an exclusive motorcycle club. Glory MC don’t play well with strangers but when Indy manages to land a job as a bartender at their clubhouse, she gets the fresh start she’s always dreamed of. While everyone else is focused on the flares, no one will be paying attention to her or the disorder she means to keep from everyone.

The president’s son, Ian Haste, is the first to zero-in on her, seeming to sense the kindred spirit that she desperately hides. As secretary and treasurer of Glory MC, Hastie is exactly who Indy needs to avoid, but the reckless lifestyle he lives may also be the one thing that helps him understand her better than anyone else.

As tensions rise between Ward leaders, Indy’s secret threatens to be exposed before she is ready, and with only pieces of the puzzle, Hastie doesn’t know what to believe. When he finally discovers the secret she’s been hiding, will Hastie still be able to love her or will he deem her too crazy even for him?

Glory was one of those books where I just couldn't seem to pin down my feelings for it. I never felt as if I couldn't stop reading, this was definitely not a one sitter for me. Perhaps because it seemed so heavy at times, perhaps because MC isn't a normal genre for me. I keep wanting to love the genre, but I just can't seem to like it as a whole. Despite that, there were so many moments in this book where I found things to love.

"We spanned the room like two ends of a rainbow. But the only thing you'd find on either end were sour emotions and regret."

I loved this line, and so many others scattered throughout the book. Never overly flowery or full of pretentious prose, it had just enough to make me occasionally pause and appreciate.

Indy was an extremely complex character. I really appreciated the care given to her mental condition. So many of her actions were similar to the ones I've seen played out for the sake of angst and drama in other books, but here it was actually legitimate, and therefore much more relatable. That's one aspect of survival that I don't think is given enough attention in so many apocalyptic and dystopian stories. How do those with long term medicated illnesses get by?

Hastie was such a refreshing character. On one hand, he's gruff and dominating. Sexy in his jealousy and possessiveness. Then, to make one melt just a little more, he's considerate and respectful too. Bottom line, he respected boundaries and treated Indy as if she were an adult, capable of making her own decisions and being her own person. It was this mutual respect and love that made the relationship feel so much more viable. He threw a couple childish tantrums, but I was able to get over that since he's a young, bad ass biker who had never had to deal with the struggles involved in a real relationship, especially one with such a potentially emotionally volatile woman.

There were a few inconsistencies that glared at me, a lack of government and law yet they discuss the cost of re-registering stolen bikes. I'm a little surprised vehicles are registered at all in the world that is painted in this future. Power is hit or miss yet somehow food doesn't seem to spoil. Gas seems to flow freely, as does scotch and some name brand whiskeys. Actual money is only briefly mentioned, and mentioned as being in short supply, but it isn't explained how money vs trading works in a society where there is no government and money would likely have little to no value. Some things are explained briefly, but this is such a fascinating new world that I would have loved for it to have been a little more in depth.

Overall, this is definitely a world I would love to revisit. There are many more stories waiting to be told in the Glory MC, and this first book did an amazing job in fleshing out secondary characters so that when it's their turn, you're already invested in their lives before you pick up the book. I do hope there's plenty more where this came from. ~ George, 4 stars

I really quite enjoyed this book. I really enjoyed the characters. For me it was like a Kit Rocha's Beyond Series meets Kristen Ashleys Chaos Series meets Jessica Sorenson's emotional New Adults. And that all worked for me. I am really looking forward to the next book in the series. Im hoping its Lucky and Seven...

One thing is the sub-plot was a bit weak. Its all a bit vague as to why it all got started and why it continued. But whatev's it created the needed conflict.

Full review to come.

I enjoyed it but there were some things that kinda threw me off about the world and also the characters, for instance the hero is supposed to be alpha and a member of a MC yet he knows designer shoes there is just no way he knows that. His best friend uses a turn of phrase that no man will ever use. It's things like this that drew me out of the story and took away from my overall enjoyment of it.

Glory is the first book in Ana Jolene's Glory MC series, set in a dystopian future where solar flares have decimated the population and the government has collapsed. The area has been split into different sectors and Glory Motorcycle Club control ward 4. There is some rivalry between the different wards but we're yet to find out exactly what happened to cause this or who is in charge of most of the other areas. Indy and Hastie meet when she starts working behind the bar at the Glory MC club house, he's instantly attracted to her but she's holding him at a distance because of a secret she is desperately trying to keep. It's up to Hastie to break through her defences if he wants to understand what makes Indy tick.

This is Ana Jolene's debut novel and I think she did a brilliant job of bringing her characters to life. Indy in particular was a complex character whose bipolar disorder affects her greatly. She could be a hard character to understand because she goes from phases of hyper-mania straight into boughts of depression and you never know quite what she'll do next but I felt that was realistic for someone with her illness. I found it frustrating that she wouldn't tell Hastie what was going on with her but at the same time I could completely understand why she didn't want to be judged for her bipolar disorder and was afraid that he'd walk away from her if he knew about it. I liked the way Hastie was so patient with her and so understanding when he did find out why she was blowing hot and cold with him but sometimes I struggled to fit his personality in with what I expect from a scary alpha biker. This isn't a genre I've read a huge number of books in but in my experience MC characters tend to be a bit more badass than the Glory MC members but that's hopefully something that will change as we get to know them all a bit better.

Where the story fell down for me was in the world building, there were definitely some interesting ideas in there and I can see it getting better as the series continues but I felt we needed a bit more background information about how the world came to be destroyed. There were some inconsistencies in the way we're told that there is no government and no police so life is hard but at the same time they had easy access to electricity (when a solar flare wasn't in progress) so the utilities companies are still running. They were also easily able to buy gas for their bikes, Indy owned a car and lived alone with a female friend with no mention of any danger, there didn't seem to be any food shortages or general lawlessness in the area and they were able to contact manufacturers to place orders for supplies when Indy wanted to give the bar she worked in a makeover. Basically I don't understand why the government is gone but everything else still seems to be running as normal and that threw me out of the story a bit.

I'm hoping that the world will be expanded upon in the next book and I definitely liked the characters enough to want to continue reading. Considering this was her debut I expect great things from Ana Jolene in the future.

I was given a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

I am so sorry Miss Jolene. I wanted to like it, I really did. I just couldn't get into it. I think my main problem was the fact that I couldn't stand Indy. I couldn't connect with her, I didn't understand her. I realize bipolar is serious, trust me I get it. The emotional connection between Indy and her sickness was just not there for me to connect to. Yes she would make offhanded comments about "I can let go and be free" or "Had I revealed too much" or "If only this disorder wouldn't have its talons in me, maybe I could be with him". Then she would make references to her having a very lively sex life "Indulging in sex whenever I wanted was a common thing for a person like me" almost taking home TWO guys but then play a strange cat and Mouse game with Hastie.
SHUT UP ALREADY photo: shut up photo3.gif

I realize the author may have wanted exactly that, one side of Indy sometimes and another polar opposite at others. It just didn't work for me. I did enjoy Hastie, and the sex scenes were pretty sexy, but that is about it.

Dystopian novels are one of my favorite genres to read. That being said, I didn't feel like this was a dystopian. Yes, she made comments about sun flashes, and "wards" but there were to many questions left open in my opinion. Do the MC's provide food for Ward Four? Why is only Ward Four affected by the solar flashes? Obviously cell phones work, do you have to pay utilities? Yet there is no government per say. Maybe they would have answered my questions if I finished it, but I couldn't bring myself to.

One of the best parts of being a reviewer is getting an opportunity to read authors I never would have found on my own. I was unfamiliar with Ana Jolene and while the blurb for Glory looked interesting, that’s never a guarantee. I’m glad to say, the book lived up to my expectations.
Jolene creates a detailed, intriguing world. Solar flares have destroyed civilization as we know it and continue to wreak havoc. Without a functioning government, Glory MC has established order in Ward Four.

At one point I marveled to myself that Jolene was so able to incorporate Indy’s mental illness, the collapse of society, the struggle the MC has with the Phantoms and the leader of Ward Seven and yet she did it well. The story moved quickly with a lot going on but never too quickly or too much.
Indy’s mental illness is handled so well. Indy is a very sympathetic character but not pathetic. She’s fully aware of her issues and deals with them as best she can. People see her struggles much more than she ever realizes and love her anyway. Hastie’s unconditional love is amazing. He comments repeatedly about how lucky he is to have such an amazing woman. He sees her as such a fantastic person, never an emotional cripple.

I’m delving into Origin immediately and waiting anxiously for Nirvana.

I was given a copy of this for an honest review.. This was the first book that I have read by this author. I absolutely loved this book. Glory is one of those books that you can easily love to read over and over again. This book covered a very difficult topic for some people. I am a person that deals with bipolar issues and she covered it with kindness and gentleness. I love the chemistry between the two main characters and the understanding that Hastie has when he finally learns what Indy is going through and dealing with. Indy is a a girl who is dealing the best she can with something that is not easy to deal with. Her days will vary from one moment to the next and to add Hastie to the mix with the thnigs that he deals with being in a club just proves she is a strong person. I fell in love with her strong will power and no take attitude. I understand what she is feeling and dealing with and the writer makes her so strong in this book. I absolutely love that. I highly recommend this book. It is a page turner from beginning to end. Twists and turns but keeps you on the edge of your seat to see if there is true love after all between Hastie and Indy.

This story takes place in a lawless dystopian society. The main characters are India Marie Beaumont ("Indy") and her love interest, Ian Haste ("Hastie"). They have a complex relationship as they each face their own struggles. Indy has Bi-Polar II disorder and fears telling Hastie. He is a biker in the Glory Motorcycle Club who knows a lot about fighting & loss. After Indy reveals her disorder to Hastie, he tells her they will make this relationship work. He becomes her strength and protector in this crazy dystopian world.

At first I had a hard time getting into the story. But once things picked up toward the middle of the book, I really became interested in seeing where Indy & Hastie's relationship would go.

I thought "Glory" handled the condition of Bi-Polar disorder with care and sincerity, thankfully it was not romanticized.
This book is a solid 3 Stars for me! I'd recommend it for readers 18 and up.

This is my first book by Ana Jolene and let me tell you it was amazing. This book is a MC/Dystopian and the characters are really relatable. Diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, Indy works very hard to keep it under control with meds that are fast running out. Ian Haste is the VP of Glory MC? When he firsts sees Indy he's not aware of the secrets she keeps. But how long will those secrets stay under wraps?
I'm glad I read this book and I'm super excited for book two!

Received this book in exchange for an honest review

The world as we know it is transformed when solar flares raze the world destroying buildings, land and the population. Government and police organizations have been dismantled and MC’s have taken power over society. The story starts 6 years after the first flares with the heroin, Indy (India) landing a job at a bar. The very same bar that happens to be the clubhouse for glory MC. Whilst I loved the first sentence of the book, it started a little rough for me but picked up after the initial meeting between the hero & heroin.

Indy as a character was really complex but Ian Haste known as Hastie (the hero) was simple. I would have liked to have learned more about him or get some additional depth. But I did love his devotion to Indy. There are a lot of MC romance novels with men who cheat or mistreat the women they are supposably in ‘like’ or ‘love’ with and that gets kinda old. It was refreshing to see a hero like Hastie who knew what he wanted and didn’t hesitate (too much). My favorite character’s in the book were actually not the main characters but the secondary characters, lucky and seven. They are both the best friends of the main characters and throughout the book, you could definitely feel the chemistry between then. The next book in this series will probably revolve around them (hopefully).

Throughout the novel we learn more and more about this dystopian world. A clear enemy to the glory MC can be seen. New friends are made and character’s pasts are exposed. The ending is not a cliffhanger but definitely leaves questions open for the next book to explore. This book was middle of the road for me, I had some issues with it but also enjoy aspects of the story.

I received this book in exchange for a honest review

I must confess that I normally don’t read future-fiction books where the earth and his people are in jeopardy but I do love stories about motorcycle clubs and the blurb left me curious enough to give this book a try. And I’m so glad that I did because I really enjoyed this story and I look very much forward to reading the second book in this series.

The world as we know is gone, in this place there is a world where solar flares can happen when you least expect it. A place where you live with the knowledge that today could be your last day on this earth. Because of all this, society is totally changed. There are now four ‘ward’ (territories). Ward four where India ‘Indy’ Beaumont lives is a place where there grows nothing, it’s a desert where the motorcycle club ‘Glory MC’ is the leader of this ward. Neptune is their clubhouse and it’s there that Indy finds a job as a bartender. She hopes that she can blend in. But that thought comes in trouble when she’s noticed by the president’s son of the MC, Ian Haste. It was never Indy’s intention of pulling the attention of a member of the Glory MC but she did. Ian is fascinated with the new girl working in the bar of their clubhouse. There is an attraction between them that both find hard to resist. Indy tries to resist it but Ian makes it hard for her. So in the end, they give in but Indy has a secret. She has bipolar II disorder. Which make it very hard for her to live a normal life. She tries but it isn’t always easy to hide it. But Ian is no fool and he knows that Indy is hiding something from him. And that gets him very frustrated and that’s not his only problem. The leader of Ward three is looking for trouble and with the way he’s behaving, it means that a war is coming very soon between the two Ward leaders. Can Indy trust Ian with her secret? Will he accept her no matter what or will he destroy her completely?

Like I said before I don’t have much experience with reading this kind of book but I found the world that the writer wrote about very interesting. The fact that there are now 4 sections (territories) and that one of them is lead by a motorcycle club. The writer didn’t really go into real big details about what happened or the consequences about it but that was something that I didn’t mind. My (and the writer’s focus) was on the main couple of this book and their friends and Ian’s motorcycle club.

I do have a lot of experience in reading about alpha men and Ian Haste is definitely one of those! The story is told from both POV’s what I really loved and there is no cheating in it. For the lovers of MC’s stories, I can you tell that this MC’s story isn’t really dark. But it’s definitely my kind of story, where the men are tough and alpha but where they also have a soft spot for their woman. Ana Jolene gave Indy the ‘perfect’ man with Ian, because of her disorder not every man would do. Indy’s disorder gave this story something more.

I’m very glad that I discovered this writer and this series and I can’t wait to read Lucky and Seven’s story (Indy and Ian best friends).

India "Indy" Beaumont is 19 years old and has biopolar II disorder in a world with Wards, flares and power outages. Desperate for some constant in her life she applies for a job at Neptune's, home of the Glory MC. Her boss Hanna is dating the head of the Glory MC, Knuckle and the members of Glory are in and out of Neptune's.

Ian "Hastie" Haste is Knuckle's son and the moment he sees Indy he knows he wants her. Yet Indy is constantly pushing him away after allowing him to get close and he knows that she has secrets she is keeping from him. Yet he tries not to give up although he is frustrated she won't trust him.

But Glory MC has enough on their plate with a rival named Brennan creating issues for them and who is the mysterious guy he is meeting with? As Glory MC prepares for battle will Indy be caught in the middle and will Hastie be able to protect her?

I loved this book!

One thing I loved was how the book really made you feel like you were going through Indy's emotions with her. Knowing that she had a mental disorder made the reader understand why she was pushing Hastie away and more understanding of her depression. At the same time you could see Hastie's frustration at not understanding why Indy would push him away and then want him again.

Hastie was so dedicated to Indy but was so hurt by her actions that he was truly torn on what to do. Yet the conflict that Glory MC was going through showed him that you are never given tomorrow so you need to be in the moment today. He was a strong character yet definitely vulnerable which made him totally swoon worthy. I loved how they would refer to his lip ring and he sounded over the top sexy!

I loved the dystopian features of the book with the different wards and power outages. It brought a different element to the typical biker book and it brought along more uncertainty for the future. I liked how the author made you understand that the Glory MC was hurting because of the wars and conflict and they needed more membership.

I really enjoyed Indy's roommate Seven and I really hope we get to see more of her in future books. She loved the Glory MC but was more importantly an amazing friend to Indy!

Such a great book and I look forward to more in the series!

“Glory” by Ana Jolene is an action packed MC book with rivalries, romance and a hint of dystopian theme.
“Indy” Beaumont, whose real name is India, is one of the main characters in the story. She’s a nineteen year old girl who recently applied for a job at the headquarters of Glory MC, Neptunes. At first Hanna, her boss, was hesitant about giving her the job, but eventually she did. Hanna is seeing Knuckle, who is the Glory MC’s head man, thus the reason why they settle at Neptunes.
Ian Haste, known as “Hastie” sees Indy for the first time and is immediately attracted to her. He is also Knuckles son, and part of Glory MC. Throughout the book, you learn more about Hastie, as he opens up to Indy, confessing that he used to race cars, and was quite good at it. He continuously tried to pursue Indy, knowing he had to have her, but would get frustrated when she would push him away and the next minute, get closer.
Indy also had bipolar II disorder, which explained the reasoning why she would push Hastie away, and then want him. I loved Indy’s character, and the realness to her. Ana did a great job of portraying a character who was looking for stability in her life, but then gets involved with a top member of an MC, amidst the Glory MC getting ready for battle against Brennan, a rival of the Glory MC.
The chemistry between Hastie and Indy was hot, but felt real at the same time. He truly did care about her, and despite being a bad boy member of an MC, he was still vulnerable in a sense.
“Glory” was definitely one of my top MC books of the year, and if you’re looking for an MC book that has a little bit of everything in it, including the dystopian aspects, you need to read “Glory.”

"Do you trust me?"
"Yes."
"Then trust me to handle this. I want you safe, Indy. Nothing matters more than that."

Swooon...

The story is set in an apocalyptic future where the world is terrorized by sun flares that burn everything up. The story follows Indy, a girl with bipolar disorder which she tries to hide. And Haste, a member of the Glory Motorcycle Club. A club that happens to run Ward 4 where both characters live.

I easily fell in love with the plotline and couldn't wait to read where Ana Jolene would take me with this story.
I have a soft spot for bikers and don't mind reading a cliche biker story once in a while. But this was far from a cliche. It was totally refreshing!

Indy's bipolar disorder was so well incorporated into the story it brought a better understanding of the disorder to light. Instead of telling us about Indy's mood swings she showed us in a way only a skilled writer can. It was interesting to see Indy struggle with her disorder and her feelings for Hastie.

It was scary to think that someone meant so much to me that I felt inclined to be better for them, especially when I couldn't even do it for myself. -Indy

Haste was such an Alpha male, in a sweet yet hot and possessive kind of way. His devotion to the club was both inspiring and scary. He was willing to lay his life on the line for his loved ones.

"Color, Indy-that's what you are to me. You bring color into my life. I want to hold on to that forever." -Haste.

I really loved the side characters as well. Especially Lucky and Seven (Haste and Indy's close friends). Their constant bickering laced with tension cracked me up. I hope to read more about them in the next book!

I received a copy of this book from the author.

The premise of this book was pretty awesome. It's set in an apocalyptic future where sun flares have caused the world to burn, and the government has fallen. Now there are Wards, and Ward 4 is run by the Glory Motorcycle Club. They are badass bikers who live by their own rules.

Indy was an interesting character. I didn't really connect with her, but I did like her character. She tries to hide the fact she has Bipolar from everyone around her because she doesn't want people to view her differently or pity her. The author did a great job of portraying her mood swings and showing that Indy is struggling with these mental health issues in an apocalyptic future.

I really liked Ian Haste aka Hastie.(I wish he went by Ian though lol because I love that name ;) He was a badass that was loyal to his MC and when he falls in love with Indy he realizes that she is strong and fierce, and that he can't live without her.

Some of the side characters were great, I loved Lucky and hope to see a book featuring him in the future, as well as Seven, Indy's best friend. Hannah was also a great character, but I highly disliked Knuckle.

Very realistic depiction of a girl with bipolar disorder. I appreciated reading one where things were coped with in ways that were helpful. I liked the red soled shoes. Very sexy. The story goes slow enough between the two mc's that you actually get to enjoy it develop. It isn't just the typical biker read with slam, bam, and pass it around again or hot and heavy instalust. Glory MC is having to adjust to the solar flares. The remaining people in the area are as well. I liked Hanna and Knuckle. Hastie was awesome. He was a sweet guy under that cut of leather and those tattoos.

Although I never read a dystopian MC book before, I found it to be a unique experience . I enjoyed it very much, it was different than any other MC I have read before. The main characters, Indy and Hastie have a complicated relationship. Indy is scared to tell anyone that she suffers from a bipolar disorder, unaware that Hastie will always love, her even thought she gets depressed.
I highly recommend this book to people who want to try something different/unique in the MC world.

First time picking up this author's book and I'm in love with the beginning of this series. Even though it's not typical of most MC books I read, it was a nice change this MC.

I actually enjoyed it :) But it's not the best MC book I've read.

In a post sun flared distroyed world. Indy is working through her bipolar disorder, there are no meds available. She has to be strong and continue to live each and every day. She meets Hastie not just a biker but a member of the ruling class in this new world order. There is no cops, no government these bikers rule. Holding to thier same biker code they rule thier portion of the world. Hastie falls in love but keeps getting pushed away by Indy. He fights for them, now can they survive the world issues around them and Indy' disease. Very enjoyable story I hope Ana continues this story about more of the Glory MC.

It was a lot of fun reading a motorcycle club romance! It was also a learning experience about mental health as the main character had bipolar disorder and it is the main issue/secret throughout the story. I thought everything resolved well and it was a sweet and action packed romance that got through some hard times!

I was drawn to GLORY because of it’s beautiful cover, but I never knew how powerful and emotional this ride would be! Ana Jolene weaves together a realistic portrayal of a girl with bipolar disorder. What’s worse is that Indy lives in a dystopian world where solar flares come and go much like her mood swings. It’s amazing how the author was able to mimic Indy’s disorder through the world. I’ve never seen anything like it and I applause her attention to detail. It must’ve been tough to write, but Jolene did it well.

The romance between Indy and Hastie was heartbreaking at some parts, but also very touching. They go through a lot just to be together and for me, that’s what made me love them. Their unwillingness to give up on each other made me fall in love with them. I just really loved their chemistry and banter as well as the obstacles that stood in their way. They tackled it on together, proving how great of a match they are. They have become one of my favorite couples I’ve read this year.

GLORY completely impressed me with its detailed worldbuilding and sensitive relationships. It had the perfect combination of humor and heart as well as the adrenaline rush of a good action suspense story. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of biker or MC romances or enjoy books by Kit Rocha or Kristen Ashley. Read it! You won’t be disappointed!

Never trust anyone was the way India had to move on through life. She was different and did not want to stand out as beings such. Just getting by day-to-day was a struggle. Her finding a semi-permanent place to lay down roots was a good thing for her. Meeting Haste was not initial a good thing for her. She had to keep things on the low and she was not doing such being notice by him.

Haste was hot, sexy, young, commanding, young and fixed on India. What was it about her? He was not sure but willing to step out on a limb and find out what it was. Haste and India together made a workable pair. They both had growing to do. It will be interesting to see where things go with then as the series continue to grow.

I was wanting more on how things got started, how did the government take part in this all, was there really a true government or just some other group higher up, how did the money thing work or how did they pay for good and services. I am looking forward to see how this New Adult dystopia grows and evolves to become more mature. The combination of bikers and an apocalyptic event are interesting.

I got this book via a FB exchange based entirely on the cover and was asked only for an honest review. Unfortunately, this book just didn't click for me.

My problem is with the little details that need to be in place if you are going to write a dystopian world book. Glory is set in a time in the world where solar flares has destroyed to world as we know it. The author says more than once that there is no government anymore, no police and the local MC (Glory) is the law. BUT... she has her heroine fill out 20 minutes of paperwork for a job. What paperwork would be needed? There is no police but no mention of crime or lawlessness. The heroine is perfectly fine in her home with her best friend. No weapons are mentioned. There is power and gas stations (where the ruthless MC Glory pays for their gas?). The details of this society is just off for the setting the author describes.

If the setting had been different, my review would have been different.

A MC club in a dystopian world and with a character with bipolar. Well let me start from the top, the cover really caught my eye it is hot and enticing. The blurb for this book totally got me intrigued as to the story. Dystopian world with a MC club and two very interesting sounding characters. So now to the story it was very interesting how Indy and Hastie connected. The description of Indy and her bipolar and how it fitted into the story was good, i wanted to know much more about how the world got to the state it is in. But for a new author this is a very accomplished book well done Ana Jolene i wan to see what you release next
