The brutal death of a Swedish spy sends Nick Carter, Selena Connor and the Project team to Stockholm, where they find themselves pitted against a terrorist network hiding among the refugees flooding into the country.

A fourth century artifact looted from the Middle East plunges the team into a search for the most elusive relic of Christendom: the Holy Grail. A prophecy warns that if the Grail falls into the wrong hands, it will bring about the End of Days.

It's not just the project that's looking for the Grail: the murderous fanatics of ISIS are determined to find it. They'll stop at nothing to retrieve it.

The Day of Judgment draws near and nuclear Armageddon threatens America. Time is running out. Finding the Grail is the only thing that can prevent disaster.

Kings, emperors and thieves have searched for the cup for more than a thousand years, to no avail. All have failed. Will the Project succeed before it's too late?

You won't want to put this book down.

I like Barbados rum, old, fast motorcycles, playing guitar and books by authors like Michael Connelly, Robert Crais, Alex Berenson, Craig Johnson and Lee Child. I write action/adventure thrillers. WHITE JADE is the first in a series featuring the PROJECT, a small, elite counter-terrorism unit. There are currently 23 books in the series.

I've enjoyed each and every one of Alex Lukeman’s Project Series; certainly, some stories were better than others, but all were good. "The Cup" is the 13th entry in this popular Series. Sure, as with many action type books, you simply have to suspend credibility (verisimilitude) a little, and just enjoy the story. So if you are looking for a new series to try, I would certainly recommend Lukeman's series. However, I strongly suggest that you begin with the first book so you can appreciate the character development and interactions even more.

You may have guessed it from the title – “The Cup” is the Holy Grail ~ is it fact or fiction? The story opens with the brutal death of a Swedish spy sends Nick Carter, Selena Connor and the Project team to Stockholm, where they find themselves pitted against a terrorist cell among the refugees flooding into the country. Corruption within the police and stolen artifacts reveals strong clues which relate to “The Cup.” Nick and his team are tasked to find it; meanwhile a nuclear bomb is on its way to America. And the action builds!!

Lukeman's writing does not disappoint, and I am looking forward to continue reading this series. I already have the next one in the series, so "yes," I strongly do recommend this book and this series to you. I have actually slowed up in my reading of this series so I don't run out of the books. So, perhaps it is time for you to read one too?

Exceptional

This book seemed to start out slower that the ones before. I decided to read all of "The Project" books in order, so I have been deeply involved in the team and its foibles. However this book, while having the usual winning ways of the team, really surprised me with its ending. It was a little abrupt, but it was appropriate. The political situation has continued, with different protagonists, to frighten people who seek peace and who want the hatred, which continues to take over, to consume itself. How anger and rage has consumed much of the world is overwhelming. One only can hope that there are people in governments around the world that will continue to fight against emotional thinking brought on by unrealistic belief systems. This book presents how one belief system can conflict with many others, and how this is not a new problem.

Action-packed, fast-paced, suspenseful thriller!

The Holy Grail, is it real? Alex Lukeman, an amazing author, writes about his interpretation of the Holy Grail. He makes this book so exciting and intriguing that you believe every word. This book is so fascinating that you cannot put the book down because you want to see what will happen next! Don't miss this book because you will be surprised and stunned as the story unravels the secret of The Grail! It will make you think; is The Grail real? I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did! Happy reading! 😊

Nick and his team get involved in hunting down a religious relic. Along the way, they encounter ISIS and have to defend themselves. There is also a dirty bomb involved. This was a good book and I enjoy the books by this author. The reader does not need to read the first books in this series, but it helps. I recommend this book.

I love this series, and this is as good as the previous.
There's a roller coaster subplot within the team, and the main story is at times high paced.
A twist or two at the end, and the reappearance of a face thought lost a good touch too.

Project 15 coming up

Great entertaining reads. I will be sorry when I finish the Project series. Often some of the written scenes in these books are so near today’s world issues which make the read more interesting.
Many thanks Alex.

Book; The Cup Book #13
Series: The Project Series
Author: Alex Lukeman
Publisher: Amazon Digital
Genre: Adventure Thriller
Rated: Mature

The Project Series has been on auto read for me since its beginning. I always love to be swept away with a good adventure. Mr. Lukeman never ceases to make me sit on the end of my seat, palms sweating, heart beating with fear, worrying about our small group of intrepid agents venturing out to save the world.

Elizabeth Harker heads this group, who report only to the President of the US. Stephanie Willets is our top IT girl and the famous four Nick Carter, Selena Connor, Lamont Cameron and Ronnie Peete move from one part of the world to another, bringing down the bad guys, insuring we Americans and the people of the world can sleep at night. Selena is a scholar, who can read ancient languages and speak almost every language which helps them in their travels.

This 13th book had me worried, as our group has been battered, beaten and bloodied so much I worry that their luck might run out. The Cup is a thrilling story of the here and now with ISIS at the forefront. We began in Sweden where we find a terrorist network hiding among the refugees admitted into the country. The search for The Cup, the Holy Grail becomes another deadly fight between good and evil.

Our author again the pied piper of storytelling has the reader on the edge of their seats as we travel to try find the cup if it exists before Isis does and while we are at it, find an atomic bomb being smuggled into America. The story is both telling of our time, and scary as hell.

As always this fast paced story Alex Lukeman tells is life like, interspersed with visions as if you were watching a movie and living it yourself…..Great read as always!

Something doesn't feel right

Something doesn't feel right in this story and I just can't put my finger on it.
Maybe further books will develop Nick's dilemma more fully and believably
But I was really left empty, confused and frustrated by the end of this one.
The writing was too simple and these deeper subjects need much more depth
to work. Also, the port of Atlanta? The author must do better even if the next book takes longer to write. Nick and Selena and all these great characters deserve it. And we, the reader, deserves
it.

Wow! What a ride! I love The Project series.....but really loved The Cup. I think it just may be the best of the series.

The Project is a very select group that goes into areas when the U.S. needs deniability. The work directly with the President. In The Cup, the team is sent to look for the Holy Grail...the Cup of Christ. They need to find this before the Muslims do. The Muslims want to find it to rush in the Mahdi.

The Cup was heavily inundated with religious references:
ISIS
Shites and Sunnis
Mahdi
Knights Templar
Knights Hospitiellers
Isa (Christ)
Holy Grail (Cup of Christ)
Joseph of Arimathea who is said to have held the cup and collected the blood of Christ during the Crucifixion.

The former religion teacher in me appreciated the accuracy of the religious information in the book. Alex Lukeman made it flow along with and to enhance the plot of the story.

A must read.

Another great story of the Project. Adam is back in the picture with some interesting news to help the team. Nick, Selena, Ronnie & Lamont feel like they are off on a wild goose chase for the Grail which seems to have been moved from place to place. It all starts in Sweden when a spymaster is killed. ISIS is also looking for the artifact so time is short as the team needs to be the ones to find it first.
At the same time ISIS is working on a nuke to explode somewhere in the US. As always time is running short. Elizabeth and Stephanie were in a bad car accident while Elizabeth was taking Steph to the hospital to have the baby. Steph and the baby are ok but Elizabeth is in a coma. That puts Nick in charge if the Project.
Can anything else go wrong and how do they handle all of this? Read the story and find out. Just too good as always.

Another fun thrill ride. Early on it felt as if all refugees were being painted with the same brush as ISIS, but I don't think that was the intent. More that ISIS was infiltrating refugees.

I'm not a believer in the Holy Grail as more than a mythical object, but Lukeman made it believable.
I have to wonder if the mysterious Adam is actually a good or bad person...Nick appears to trust him, but I wonder if he's being manipulated. What are Adam's true goals?

I don't know if that long of a HAHO jump is really possible, especially for someone who's never done it, but it added a thrilling element to an already exciting and dangerous adventure.

I hope one major error gets fixed for future editions....Atlanta is a port city in this book!!

The team is back and due to the death of a Swedish spy they are on the prowl for the holy grail.  But so is ISIS and it is said that if the grail falls into wrong hands it will bring about the end of days, so the race is on.
This might be book thirteen but Mr. Lukeman has not let up yet, this one has just as much action and suspense as the first book, the characters are awesome and believable.  The audio narrated by Jack de Golia is wonderful, and not to be missed, he has a voice for each character and he can draw you into the story like you are one of the team right there with them helping with assignment.  I can't wait to get the next audio these are so good.

My first thought was to give this book a 1. I was so mad when I finished the book. The author had a seaport in Atlanta. But after visiting his Facebook page today, I read his apology for putting the wrong city. It was supposed to be Savannah. His books are self-published so I can forgive him. He has promised to make the correction and rerelease the book. It is a good book. Good story line. I really like this series and look forward to the next one.

The cup

As always I've sat down and read this book cover to cover as fast as possible. I have to say Mr. Lukeman you are now my favorite author and the "Project" series is the best. You have now replaced Clive Cussler as a great story teller in my eyes, he is now down to number 2. Your number 1 in my opinion. Please another installment before Christmas?

The holy grail...fact or fantasy..fiction? Nick and his team are tasked to find it. A nuclear bomb is on its way to America. Can they find the the grail? Will they intercept the bomb? An intense, extraordinarily well written action thriller of epic proportions!! My highest recommendation !!
