O-M-G (Look at that. I've had two O-M-G books in the same 24 hour period) this book was bloody AWESOME

Oliver Parker is one handsome and conceited son of a b!tch. He is also one of the heirs to the Parker Hotel chain. He's sent to Savannah, Georgia by his father to check out one of their recent hotel acquisitions. A stop for a bite to eat brings him into contact with a waitress named Riley. When she doesn't fall at his feet like he is used to, he's sees it as a challenge he can't refuse. He persuades her to be his tour guide the next day and things escalate with the evening ending with her running from his room.

description
"As her eyes lock on mine, my step falters, making me pause for a moment. Her gaze hits me as if it were a physical force, like a beam pulling me to her, and for the briefest of seconds, I’m left feeling bare, vulnerable even. The feeling makes me uncomfortable, makes me want to turn and walk away, because I swear she can see right through me. I could swear that with one look at me, she can see everything about me that lies buried deep, past the carefully crafted façade to a view I’m not happy to share"
description

Determined to forget Riley as a distraction he doesn't need. He is more than a little surprised to see her pissed off and at his door the next morning. Seeing an opportunity to get what he wants, he offers Riley a deal she can't refuse. Soon lines are being blurred and feelings are making themselves known. Can a damaged man find his HEA? Will Riley end up with a broken heart when all is said and done??

description

Where do I start..I feel like a squealing fangirl right now. After absolutely ADORING this author's Pieces of Him which in my opinion has one of the BEST "asshole to awesome" character growths in any book I have read to date, I was SO excited to be offered an ARC of this one.

I was not disappointed. Oliver is a grade A asshole. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. That opening chapter had me laughing out loud. He is an ass, but there is something charming and endearing about this ass, that's for sure. I don't think his transformation from "asshole to awesome" had the same impact in this one as the hero in the other book (Pieces Of Him). I'm guessing because the other included a more complex relationship. That said, I adored watching Oliver go from alphahole, to wanting more, to fighting for everything.

"Anywhere that we can be together is home.” Done. Life as I know it ended with those words. I loved her a moment ago, but now … now, I LOVE her"
description

Riley was an awesome heroine. I cried like a little baby so much in this one. You could feel her pain at knowing that she was falling in love with someone that didn't feel the same and was ultimately going to leave her shattered. But she also had strength. She chooses to do something for someone she loves that causes her to sacrifice something she held dear. When Oliver asks her why did you make that sacrifice, her answer is "Is it a sacrifice if you are doing it for love?" That pretty much sums up her character. She has a HUGE heart and sees the good in people. I ADORED her.

description

This was just a beautifully written book. This author knows how to weave a tale that will have you laughing one minute and crying the next. By the end you will be sitting there staring at the last page both angry that it is finished, and stalking the author to find out when her next book is out. Which I may add, I REALLY REALLY hope we get a book with Oliver's brother as the hero. Lastly, I feel the need to mention that this had a very sweet 3 years in the future epilogue (that's for all you epilogue whores like me)

Two GIANT thumbs up from yours truly...

➳The summary hooks you in...
Makes you curious as to what this Parker guy has for the reader to read...
Well, the synopsis does not do its justice to the story, because Oliver Parker is one arrogant a**hole, who you slowly learn to adore! (Ironically speaking...)

➳Okay, okay... so the prologue did not do it for me. Woah, what an arrogant piece of sh** Oliver Parker is. He portrays it, but also freaking embraces that attitude. As if he is proud of that personality. Arrogant am I right? Oh well, somehow that turns him into something that he coups from and learns from the most. His record track with women slowly deteriorates when he lays eyes on Riley... Riley Sims. She is the ultimate definition to his eyes of vulnerable and pure;

➳"... she is far too pure and clean... The girl next door who, given the right tools, would bring any man to his knees. Her beauty is there, but hidden, and she likes it that way. She likes to blend in with the crowd. Being the center of attention makes her uncomfortable. She is not comfortable with my eyes on her and the thoughts she knows are in my head."

➳And this was just in the beginning... Oliver becomes somehow whipped by her and her vibes, which is rather disappointing that the author does not explain or go further as to how, she just simply states the obvious for the reader. Okay then... I mean, my question is just, why go so fast? That's how their interaction goes by, and when finally Oliver has her in his hotel room (wait for it, it is super cliché) and ends up sleeping with her, he does not stop when she tells him at the last minute about her "situation." The way he took it was beyond crude. I was honestly so mad that I couldn't hold my emotions as to why a selfish bastard would act that way towards a lady, who is not a full on classy lady, but definitely deserves her respects after making a deal with the devil (metaphorically speaking of course.)

➳Time passes, and they both end up wanting each other more and more. Their love begins to expand, grow more and more throughout the rough patches. His departure of going to London for another project and leaving her behind in Savannah, Georgia is something they both knew that sooner or later they would have to deal with. Which they do, but conflicts hit them.

➳The intimacy scenes are... okay? Yeah, okay. They are detailed that's for sure. But not as powerful as I was expecting them to be due to the way Oliver talks about himself and how sex is so good with him **rolls eyes** because every guy thinks that about themselves hahaha! There is a huge character development coming from Oliver. He changes his way towards not only Riley, but also his employees and the way he reacts with them. He turns into a romantic who has passion whenever he is with Riley, and THAT'S what I really loved about him. The way he took care of her whenever she needed and even when she did not need help. His alpha protection status arouse during the 3/4 part of the book, which was endearing to read. Oliver found the true definition of what love is;

➳"Anywhere that we can be together is home." Done. Life as I know it ended with those words. I loved her a moment ago, but now... now, I LOVE her.

➳Anyways, at the end of the day I enjoyed the story. It wasn't the best story, but the character development was a good choice to read and I really, REALLY enjoyed it.

Overall Opinion: Well, sadly this one just didn't work all that well for me. I typically enjoy the as$hole to hero type stories, but I had huge issues with the H causing the separation between him and the h and his behavior afterwards I also had some issues with the connection between the h and H. I understood their sexual connection just fine, but emotionally? Not so much. There were some time jumps during the times where I think the feelings were getting deeper, and I think it's a complete shame that we missed all of that. It also made their connection and feelings of love a little confusing for me. If you follow my reviews, you know that I need to experience the development of feelings in order to connect with their connection (hopefully that made sense ;D). This didn't work for me, but others might still enjoy it :)

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Riley and Oliver's story. Oliver is in town to renovate a hotel that his father's company has just acquired. One night while grabbing a bite to eat, he meets Riley when she waits on his table. The attraction is instant, and he talks her into giving him a tour of the town the next day. After some unfortunate situations, Riley ends up accepting his proposition to spend time with him while he is in town. The more time they spend together, the more their feelings grow. There is some family and career drama, some sexy times, and some personal baggage to get through...but they do get a HEA ending.

POV: This alternated between Riley and Oliver's POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Good until the ending (see closure section). I never skimmed, and I thought it flowed well otherwise.

Instalove: No

H rating: 2.5 stars. Oliver. He was a major a$s when we meet him, and it takes a while to warm up to him -- which I did. I just never forgave him after the separation that he caused and his behavior afterwards tbh.

h rating: 3 stars. Riley. She was just ok. I didn't love her, and I didn't hate her either.

Sadness level: Low. I never needed any tissues.

Push/Pull: Yes

Heat level: Moderate. They have pretty good sexual chemistry and scenes.

Descriptive sex: Yes

Safe sex: Yes and no. I remember at least one mention of condom use, but then I really don't remember it mentioned again. I also don't remember any mention of previous practices for the H.

OW/OM drama: Not really

Sex scene with OW or OM: No

Cheating: No

Separation: Yes

Possible Triggers: Yes

Closure: This had a cute jump ahead epilogue with a HEA ending. It did have the big conflict resolved right before the epilogue, which always frustrates me.

How I got it: It was part of my kindle unlimited subscription.

Safety: I'd call this one either Safe Or Safe with Exception depending on personal preferences.

I absolutely hated Oliver at the beginning of this book. He was so awful - he was arrogant, conceited and selfish. I thought there was no way I was going to end up liking his character but once the true Oliver started coming out, I understood him more. By the end of the book I was really rooting for him. I really liked Riley from the beginning and the two of them together were hot! There were some super good steamy scenes in this one! I really loved this book and can't wait to read whatever this author writes next.

I've decided I really love how this author writes her characters. Oliver is a manwhore and owns it, no apologies given. He's an absolute arsehole, owns that too, again with no apologies given.

Cue Riley, a sweet and gentle but strong woman and sit back an watch said arsehole-manwhore unravel and have his epiphany. I seriously had a "squee" moment going on and I hate that word normally.

Loved this latest book from Alice, just as I've loved Pieces of Him which was fan-freaking-tastic. Gawd but I love reading about arsehole alpha males that fall hook, line and sinker ... HUGE

I just love when a cocky asshole of a hero gets knocked to his knees but a smart, sarcastic, sassy woman and that is exactly what we get in Nights With Parker. What we also have is a book that deals with some hard topics and learning from them. Nights With Parker is a fun and sexy book but I also liked how the author takes those hard topics and works them into the storyline and makes them not front and center but an underlying message.

When I say Oliver, Oliver Parker that is, is a cocky asshole I am not exaggerating one bit, from the very first pages you see how he is with women, and he isn’t apologetic in the least. When he meet s Riley he is taken back by her and at first only wants one obvious thing, but then he plays dirty because what Oliver wants, Oliver gets and he wants Riley. Riley doesn’t make it easy on him though in any way, I liked her attitude and sassiness as well as even though she did act a tad immature at times, it really didn’t bother me in the least. She was a good fit for him, he needed her and she made him a better person.

Overall Nights With Parker was an enjoyable and entertaining read. This was a new author to me and I really enjoyed this one so I will be looking for more from her in the future.

Alice sure knows how to make you feel the books she writes. I wasn't surprised about the level of cockiness of Oliver and how an asshole he was, I was really frustrated and I didn't want to like him.

To put you in a little of context, Oliver is the heir of his father's company and he's sent to Savannah, GA to check a hotel that is now their property, soon he finds the unexpected, a woman who doesn't surrender easily to him and makes him understand he is not entitled to have the world in his hands just because he is Oliver Parker. Riley is a strong girl with an incredible character, and as the story is going these two come to a deal. Soon lines get blurred, and yeah, you wish what you don't want to have sometimes.

Honestly, I hated the moments when Oliver was thinking about Riley only as a challenge, like he deserved it to be worshipped and Riley just needed to let her walls fall to get him. That was frustrating to the point I almost wanted to reach into the book to slap the asshole out of him. Thanks God, Riley didn't break, but she knew what she was getting onto and the unexpected happened.

I really, really enjoyed this book. It sure is a rollercoaster of emotions because one minute you want to slap Oliver, the other you want to kiss and always hug Riley. She managed to take the reigns and I felt that she was the one in control, strong enough to accept her feelings and to deal with Oliver. On the other hand, Oliver deserved to feel the burn, because he needed to learn a lesson and he needed to learn that being vulnerable doesn't mean being weak.

Another great book by Alice!! Nights With Parker is the story about Oliver. Poor little rich boy, who spends his days running a hotel business with his family, and his nights hopping from bed to bed of faceless women. That is just who Oliver is. He doesn't do commitment or even bother learning women's names.

Oliver is sent to Savannah to work on his newest hotel. There he meets Riley. She is sweet, kind and caring. She has big dreams, that have taken a backseat to help her mom after her father's death. Now, Riley is back home and waiting tables to help make ends meet. There she meets Oliver. Little does she know that Oliver is only after one thing. When she makes a deal with the devil, or in her case a deal with Oliver, she doesn't know what she is getting herself into.

Oliver has never really cared for anyone in his life, other than his mother. Spending time with Riley is making his have feelings for another woman he didn't think was possible. He liked being the jerk who didn't get involved. This new feelings for others confuses him.

I liked this book. It was a fast read for me. A few surprises on the way. I was pleasantly surprised how this book ended and loved it!

Wow! What a wonderful sweet, light on the heart story this turned out to be. This story is a 5 star.

ARC of Nights with Parker by Alice Tribue provided in exchange for an honest spoiler free review.

Riley is trying really hard to keep afloat. Her mother lost her job and her dreams are unattainable. Oliver is the one who fired her mother. He meets Riley and instantly knows he wants her so he will make her an offer she can't refuse. Her heart is on the line but will he take care of it?

I went through this story in no time because it was that wonderful. Although predictable, it was still an amazing book. The characters were perfectly created to fit the part. Nicely written with a seamless plot. It was paced right too. It's a great feel me good story that was to the point.

Standalone told in a dual POV with an HEA. I recommend reading this story. Alice also has other books that are worth the readers precious time and money.

"You make it sound so easy."
"It's not. But nothing worth having is ever easy."

*swoons with a heavy sigh* Oh Oliver!

I sure loved every single second of my night with Parker!

As with every book I've read of Alice's (and that's every single one), I fell in love, yet again. Again, she's managed to execute the story perfectly. The writing is captivating and takes hold of you from the bringing. Then story line and build up was addicting making me want to never stop reading. The characters were dreamy yet relatable In ways making them easy to fall for.

So, it's simple...sometimes something worth having is easy. Nights with Parker is easy and so worth having. Happy Reading!

Meh. Not sure what gained this one high marks. Parker's a jerk, eventually he turns it around but pulls another jerk move near the end. Couldn't see what there was to love here. Wasn't a Riley fan either. She gives up her virginity way too easy to someone who's blackmailing her. Parker's dad tells her Parker is engaged at one point and she's so upset she has sex with Parker soon after before telling him what she's heard. WTH? Would have thought that warranted an explanation first. Couldn't really connect with the story or the characters. This one was a chore to get through. Hope you all have better luck with it than I did.

Not even going to lie I did not like Oliver at all in the beginning but by the end I was definitely cheering him on.. He puts on a good show of being the arrogant rich bachelor but the underlying pain and self doubt was heartbreaking. .. Riley is the innocent southern girl who knows she should stay away from him but she cant help being drawn to him even knowing that he will probably destroy her in the end... The chemistry between them was steaming up my kindle... I absolutely loved this book...

“Anywhere that we can be together is home.” Done. Life as I know it ended with those words. I loved her a moment ago, but now…now, I LOVE her.” –Oliver Parker

I just finished reading Alice Tribue’s Nights with Parker and I am smiling SO hard.

Currently I am ultra fan-girling to the point where I nearly want to dance around the room.

I adore love stories that start off with a character that you love to hate but end up falling madly in love with by the time that you have finished the last word of the novel.

Seriously, I am damn near swooning right now!

This novel is all that and more…the icing on top of the cake that tastes so deliciously sweet that you can not help but devour and crave it because you can’t get enough.

Alice Tribune really hit the ball out of the park with this one!

Nights with Parker is the story of Oliver Parker, a mega-rich heir to the Parker Hotel International brand of hotel chains. He is sent to Savannah, Georgia to investigate the status of one of his companies’ newest acquisitions. There he encounters Riley, an innocent young waitress who immediately captures his eye due to her unique, understated beauty and her demure mannerisms.

Oliver is arrogant and super conceited; he has a tremendous ego since he is used to women who worship the ground that he walks on because they covet his good looks, money and power. He takes full advantage, racking up notches on his bed post every chance that he has the opportunity to do so.

Oliver is shocked, awed and amazed when Riley turns him down and his interest in her immediately intensifies. At that point he considers her a rare challenge and he determines that he will have her at any cost. A set of unfortunate circumstances arises and Oliver selfishly capitalizes on the chance to have what he wants regardless of who he hurts in the process. He makes a deal with Riley that sets them on a path of bitter resentment, intense heartbreak and ultimately, love.

Allow me to be clear:

At the onset of this novel Oliver had me shaking my head, rolling my eyes and frowning like I smelled something awful.

He is unapologetic about the fact that he uses and discards women; in fact, he does not hesitate to demean his conquests as soon as he is done with them. Oliver is such a bastard that he can not even manage to remember the names of the women that he has slept with, and that is while they are still in his bed! Better yet, it appears as if he straight up refuses to do so since he does not believe that these women are worthy of the effort!

I just wanted to smack him all the way into the middle of next week.

Oliver’s journey is what I love and treasure most about this novel. His transition from a selfish, pompous, egotistical man who refers to himself as a “twisted bastard” into a man who has been bowed over by the power of love is truly something to behold. The moment that he realizes that he is in love with Riley and the tenderness that he displays toward her made me swell with emotion. By the end of this book Oliver truly earned a special place in my heart.

Oh the FEELS!!!

Normally, I do not enjoy novels where the “innocent” heroine is targeted by an experienced man-whore but this novel is a true exception to the rule. This is partially due to the strength of the characters and the strong manner in which the author portrays them.

For instance, Riley may be inexperienced but her mental fortitude and her endless loyalty to her family make her wise beyond her years.

Riley is highly intelligent. She knows that Oliver will shatter and break her yet she has the kind of spirit that is awe-inspiring; she puts the physical and emotional well being of others before her own to the point where it contributes to her own detriment.

I teared up when I read this:

“Is it sacrifice if you’re doing it for love?” ~ Riley

I found her so impressive. Unforgettable. Alice Tribue truly endeared Riley to me.

When you read this AMAZING novel you will see what I mean.

My goodness I love this girl!!

Believe me when I say that there is nothing not to love about this novel!!

Nights with Parker has super sexy scenes; the chemistry between Riley and Oliver rings true and deep from their first interaction and continues to develop as Riley and Oliver burn down the bed in his hotel room.

More importantly, the writing is excellent.

The author manages to draw you in with an intriguing plot and she certainly has a strong talent for creating believable characters. You can not help but care about them as you discover more of their moving stories and heart-breaking backgrounds. They will make you laugh, make you cry and spawn heart-warming feelings that grip you as you make progress through the novel.

I can confidently say that Nights with Parker is one of my feel-good favorites of the year.

READ IT!

I guarantee that you will love this beautiful book just as much as I did.

I hated this book. I don't usually use the word hate to describe books because I can only imagine how hard it is to not only write a book but also get it published.. But I really hate this book. I was hoping for a steamy romance between a normal girl and an entitled, rich businessmen and maybe along the way the she might to be able to change him and they would have their happy ending. I kinda got that. To be honest, I don't ever say this about books (I'm not one to get easily offended), but I was kinda offended by this book. There were that happened here that were SO WRONG and twisted and I hated how the author (specially as a woman herself) thought this was ok. Their whole relationship started with the guy blackmailing the girl: her mom would loose her job if she didn't sleep with him. And somewhere along the way they went past it and he became an upstanding husband and father... WHAT? He forced her to have sex with him multiple times, manipulating her and using her struggles in order to get sex. And then, somehow, they start a real relationship and then he just vanishes.. literally goes to another country in a matter of minutes just because of something his dad said, leaving his girlfriend alone. WHAT? There's so much stuff wrong with this plot it's scary. I hated the plot, I hated the main characters and I hated the fact that an abusive relationship is being romanticized. I don't think I'll read something else from this author.

Wow! Just amazing. It’s like Indecent Proposal meets Pretty Woman!

Oliver is an asshole to women. From the first page - total asshole! He uses women for sex and doesn’t apologize for is asshole’nes when he kicks them out or leaves them 3 minutes after he’s done with them. He’s left a string of pissed off women all over the globe.

Work sends him south for a couple months. His version of hell. This might just be the best thing that’s ever happened to him. Riley is sweet and innocent and just an amazing person. Will she be able to tame the man whore? Does she even want too? Given his history, will he even be able to have a normal relationship?

I really loved this book. Loved Riley and Oliver is a fun one to have a love/hate feeling about. The writing was amazing and the characters developed and likable.

Definitely deserves ever one of the FIVE feathers I’ve given it.

Highly Recommend!!!!

Nights with Parker by Alice Montalvo-Tribue is a wicked little story that I couldn't help but devour from the get-go. Oliver is such a complete asshole almost all of the time - even towards Riley but getting his POV as well as Riley's is a bonus as you learn he is that way so he can stay closed off from the dangers of falling in love.

The constant back and forth between Oliver and Riley is endearing. As a reader I appreciated that she wasn't just going to come hither whenever he crooked his finger and I also appreciated that he was willing to bend (for the first time ever) for Riley, even when he didn't realize why he was bending at first.

Well-written, well-paced, and packed with some steamy and intense scenes in the bedroom (and out of it) I loved this story. Enjoy!

I’ve got one huge problem with this novel. And some smaller ones.

Let me start out with the BIG one:
What this novel basically says is: Non-consent and rape are two entirely different things. And god, that is sooo wrong on soo many levels.
So, please be aware of some spoilers!!!
Okay, we’ve got Oliver, a seemingly ruthless hotel manager who has been sent to Savannah to make a hotel great again (yeah, that’s intended). Then there’s Riley, a seemingly shy waitress whose life has been on hold since her father died.

Okay, so far so good.
Their relationship begins with blackmailing. Oliver blackmails Riley into a relationship with him. He bribes her to be his fling so that her mother gets her job back. Wth.
And of course, Riley accepts because hey, she just wants the best for her mom.
Yeah, okay.
But then let’s talk about their first time.
It was non-consent. She repeatedly told him ‘WAIT’. He repeatedly didn’t listen.
She repeatedly tried to push him away. He repeatedly didn’t listen. Or care. Apparently.
I don’t have the words, really.
Because after that of course, the sex is awesome and of course they enter into a sex relationship that’s based on blackmailing. Why not??

So, yeah, the fantasy of acceptable ‘non-consent’.. It’s not acceptable. Never. Ever. NOT and ESPECIALLY NOT when the guy thinks she wants it!!
I mean, WTH.

Anyways, of course our heroine (haha) is super into him and finds him so attractive and yeah, her body totally has the right reactions to him touching her and she actually likes him and likes what he does to her.
Great. Thanks.
Way to go.
Thing about Riley?
Her body controls her entirely.
I hate that she tells herself she won’t let him touch her again – but then she totally forgets about that when he touches her…
Can you hear my disappointment? It’s somewhere between those words…
For me, she is weak. Not a representation of a woman I want to read about in a novel…

So, yeah, I’m still not done.
Oliver is also violent, is apparently not able to solve a conflict with words.

Yeah. I think that’s that.

Now, let’s talk about all the positive stuff.
Plot?
There was a lot in there so yeah definitely a good one. Plus, the ending was pretty awesome since we got a glimpse into their future. Love that.

What I think was missing were the side characters. We only get to know the mothers and a brother. There were no friends on either side and I just kinda missed that.

Writing style?
Pretty nice as well. Editing wasn’t that well done. My edition had different character spacing which was annoying.

So, all in all, the ending was okay. I just hated the beginning. Really, really hated it. But I finished it so that also says something.
And about the ending, you can always ask the question: Well, can he redeem himself after everything that happened before?? Is it even possible? I must admit, for me, he couldn’t.
I liked Riley, though, in the end. She developed a bit of a backbone…

This is the second book I have read by Alice Tribue. I must say, I thoroughly enjoy her writing and descriptive style. She does such an amazing job with weaving us such a nice little web. You are instantly sucked into the world of her characters and held captive until that very last line.

When I first started reading I was really hoping that Alice’s lead who be a total a$$ in the beginning like her lead in Contractual. I love how she can make me love and hate a character at the exact same time. By the end of this book, I adored her lead Oliver Parker, but in the beginning, he was such a total arrogant prick.

Oliver Parker is a spoiled a$$ who always got his way with women and in life. The opening of this book had me rolling at Oliver and his cocky smugness. He used women for that sweet release from life and then moved on. It was that plain and simple. The only issue is that deep down he is the way he is because of his life. He had never had someone captivate him and push him to strive and be a better man. He had been pushed down and tossed aside in his eyes.

That all changes when he is sent to Savannah, Georgia, and a beautiful woman invaded his every thought.

I loved how Oliver described Riley. He was completely enamored with her subtle beauty. She was the exact opposite of what he would normally hook up with. Plus, the fact that she pushed him and challenged him like no one before she had him chasing after her.

Oliver did not chase women, so I loved his inner struggle with not wanting to walk away from someone who captivated him. He needed someone to push back at him and call him out. Riley did that. The only issue is poor Riley was sucked into his world whether she liked it or not.

Poor Riley has had a time of it. She is struggling to stay above water with her mother when she met Oliver. When he pushed her to her limits after they met… Let’s just say that did not bode well with Riley.
He had been his normal A$$ and she laid into him and let him have it. I absolutely loved when she showed up at his hotel room to tell him off. She just did not realize how much he would enjoy it either.

Riley needed someone to show her just how much of an amazing person she truly is and Oliver needed someone in his corner to show him that there really are good people out there in the world. In my eyes, this was a perfect balance. They both found something they did not know was missing. They found their other half.

The ending of this book had the best epilog. It wrapped the story up nicely.

When a business trip takes Oliver Parker to Savannah, the last thing he expected was that it would change his life completely. However, stopping for dinner at a nearby restaurant his first night, he meets a woman that is nothing like any he’s ever been with and that alone intrigues him.

Riley Sims is working hard to help her mother make ends meet while putting her hopes and dreams on hold. But the sexy stranger that just sat in her section is making her feel things she’s never felt before. Although she wants to say no to him, she just can’t ignore the pull he has over her.

When an unexpected turn of events brings Riley to Oliver’s door, he, in short, blackmails her with a very provocative proposition. But the more time they spend together, the more the lines blur. Yet, Oliver is only in town for a short time, so can they make a real go of this budding relationship or is it just a short term fling?

Nights with Parker is a captivating, splendid, sensual story with a strong willed heroine and arrogant yet striking hero. Oliver maybe cocky and intimate those around him, but underneath it all, he’s got a heart of gold. He’s far from perfect, having inner demons that have shaped him into the man he is today. I simply adore how he can’t stop himself from opening up to Riley, knowing deep down that she’s someone special.

Riley is a spitfire and a half. I love how she doesn’t hesitate to give Oliver a piece of her mind and argue her point when she feels he’s wrong. How can you not love a woman that will do anything to protect and provide for her mother, even at the cost of her dreams. Riley is the sweet and innocent girl next door will has an inner sex goddess just waiting to be discovered.

I’ve enjoyed all of the books I’ve read by Alice, and with Nights with Parker she’s given us another spectacular book with a heart and soul. Once I picked it up I couldn’t put it down, but I really didn’t want to put it down even after I’d completed it. Alice always manages to make you fall in love with an arrogant, narcissist bachelor, so be warned, you won’t be able to resist Oliver’s advances.

This talented author NEVER fails and is always my go to writer when I want to truly experience a story line.

Nights with Parker will have you laughing, swooning, crying, blushing, ranting and guessing.

Oliver Parker is an arrogant, self absorbed, sexy, dominant man. To the outside world he has everything he could ever want. He gets what he wants, when he wants and makes no apologies for how he goes about it. Finding himself in a small town this sexy Hotelier has one mission and that is to turn around the newest addition of the family Hotel Chain. He is on a tight schedule and ready to prove himself yet again to his over bearing father. Everything changes for him however when he meets a girl that will come to mean so much to him in so many different ways.

Sweet, innocent and loyal, Riley is a small town girl trying to make her way in the world. Stuck doing a job she has no passion for, she is muddling through life. Everything changes for her when a man walks into her life, turning it upside down.

Oliver wants Riley, Riley wants nothing to do with Oliver .. so what does a powerful man used to getting his way do .. blackmail of course .. when an opportunity presents itself he jumps at the chance. As the relationship between them starts blossoming we get to see sides to both that we never saw coming. The evolution of their love along with them as individuals was amazing to witness. I loved the banter between them, along with the undeniable chemistry that scorched my Kindle.

There is so much more to this story than just the back and forth between Oliver and Riley. The story is layered with depth and emotion You will have tears in your eyes one moment and fanning yourself the next, that is how amazing of a writer Alice Tribue is, she will take you on an unforgettable emotional roller coaster.

4 WONDERFUL CROWNS

Nights with Parker is my first book by Alice Tribue, and it certainly won’t be my last. The characters the story, the pacing, and the writing are fantastic.

Oliver Parker is everything readers love-to-hate in a character. He is arrogant, rude, and disrespects women, but plays it off as saving them from heartache. Riley is a sweet, small-town girl, but she has no problem putting Oliver in his place when needed. And as a reader, there is nothing I loved more than watching this to spar.

The characters in this story, Oliver and Riley, are enjoyable separately but the sparks when they are together will ignite your e-reader, and what once started out as a physical relationship only soon becomes much more. As a reader, I would have liked to see more development between the two when the switch from the physical to emotional occurred, as it seemed like it happened without little provocation. Even though the switch was subtle, the author does a fantastic job establishing a real relationship between them, and I enjoyed their journey into coupledom.

The plot of the book that follows the rich manwhore trope. It is well paced and engaging for the reader from page one. The banter and sparring between the main characters hooks the reader in from the beginning, and then the obstacles they face as a couple only pull the reader in farther as a couple. That epilogue that she leaves the reader with is the stuff of dreams and everything a reader could hope for in a good romance book.

Alice Tribue delivers a wonderful read with interesting characters, good story-line, and excellent writing, simply wonderful. I know this first time reader will certainly be checking out more of her books.

I'm going to start with letting you know how much I hated Oliver Parker at the beginning of this book. Completely loathed him as a human being. I don't even remember the last time I've felt that way about the leading male. I just kept praying for some silver lining to his behavior like for the first 30% of the book. Who am I kidding? Of course I fell in love with him throughout the book! This is an Alice Tribue book we're talking about!

Oliver has some serious issues that slowly unfold as the book goes on and we see the true person he is meant to be, not a conniving, selfish, and manipulative d-bag we see in the beginning. But a sweet, funny, caring man who actually has a heart. I loved Riley so very much! I was nervous for her at first, she seemed a little weak at times but that girl has some kick to her and I loved how she never allowed Oliver to have complete control of the situation. She always had a quick remark and an attitude when necessary. Their chemistry was amazing, whether they were in the bedroom or verbally sparring one another.

I really enjoyed the plot to this book. While it made me angry at times, I also caught myself smiling quite a bit. It had the right amount of sexiness, romance, comedy, drama and some angst in there for good measure. I would honestly recommend anything Alice Tribue writes, because her books never leave me wanting, always a happy little reader in the end :)

In true Alice Tribue fashion this is a well written book, with an interesting plot that included a bit of angst, blackmail, and undeniable desire from a self proclaimed manwhore for a waitress he meets while on a work assignment.

Oliver Parker pissed me off, there's not other way to go about it. His behavior, especially towards Riley at the beginning of the book, was deplorable. But little by little we start seeing another side of him, we start understanding why he is the way he is and why he acts like he's entitled to anything and everything. Riley is a sweet girl, she's innocent, but she's also strong and feisty. Her life consist of working as much as she can to help her mother pay the bills, she's existing but she's not really living. She wasn't looking to start a relationship of any kind, particularly with a man like Oliver, but as time went by feelings developed and life as she knew it started changing.

I like the fluidity of the story. I appreciated the fact that although the author tackles a serious subject she didn't make the character a victim but a survivor. I enjoyed that the changes in both Oliver and Riley weren't sudden, they were seen throughout the story keeping my interest not only on them but on the things happening around them.

This is one of those authors that I'm always looking forward to read. The honesty of her writing and her ability to pull me in from the get go are always appreciated. Great read, highly recommended!

I know I probably shouldn't have but I liked him but I have to admit that Oliver Parker is now a firm BBF favourite of mine!!! Yeah, to begin with he was a total git; he was rude, had an ego the size of one of his family's hotels, was self centered and full of it but as the story went on he totally grew on me! The more we saw of him and found out about his place within the family and business, the more you could understand why he was initially the way he was!

Riley was fab. True to herself until loyalty and love got in the way, she was honest, open and extremely likable. Her relationship with her mum and her growing feelings for Oliver all brought out different facets of her personality that I liked.

The more time this pair spent together, in but also out of bed, the more they got to like each other and their initial 'agreement/unrefusable offer' begins to turn into something more!

I really enjoyed this book. It was funny, hot, well written and kept me engaged and entertained.
I'm looking forward to what's next from Ms Tribue.

I rate Nights with Parker 4.5*

I received a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review - but have also 1-C'd a copy on release day!

I loved this book! It was written in a way that the whole story just flows and you just want to find out what happens next! The first chapter introduced us to Oliver like the arrogant ass that he is and you think to yourself - is this for real??? but he grew on me! I loved watching his transition and his confusion about what was happening! His family dynamic plays a big role in the whole story and the twists and turns are totally unexpected but very real and relatable. Riley is a strong heroine. I liked her from the get go! She is the girl next door that anyone could be friends with. She of course falls for Oliver right away, but is fighting it albeit unsuccessfully! There is conflict, there is blackmail, there are people in the way of their love, including them, because they put an expiration date on it all, there is lust and hot & steamy scenes that are HOT yet not overly so that you have to skip over it! Read it! You will enjoy it! I will put it in my category of "feel good" read! Alice Montalvo-Tribue is officially on my must-read author list!
