I never expected to fall in love with a man like Blaise. He's military and so handsome and tough. We met on a singles retreat. For me it was instant. I think of him like suede, soft as velvet yet tough as leather. He's everything I ever wanted.
But something's not right. Destiny may have brought us together but it will also tear us apart after we discover the truth about who we really are. The one question burns both of us, how can we carry on knowing what we know?
Suede is a standalone book with a happily ever after ending.
This is my first read by Veronica Cane and I most likely will be reading more of her books. If you're a fan of quick, good, stepbrother romance with a mix of heartache, attraction, some twists and turns, love, a good plot-line, and interesting characters, Suede is the book for you.
An ARC of this book was provided for an honest review.
This was a short quick read. It was also a little different take on the stepsibling storyline. When Marta and Blaise got together they did not know Marta's mom had married Blaise's dad. It wasn't until after they had developed strong feelings for each other that the pieces fell into place and they realized they were stepsiblings. Needless to say, this caused a lot of confusion and heartache. Add in a few other unexpected developments and it seemed Marta and Blaise would have to fight the world to make it together. Overall, it was a good story. It's the first I've read by this author, and I would read more. *I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.*
I really liked Suede. I expected something different, the story was actually quite clean considering everything. The way the content was approached it was something I could see happening. There were a couple of area where the story could be changed to improve the flow or change minor typo's. It is a romantic, and realistic story, well worth reading.
This is a great book with lots of twists and turns. I really enjoyed this book and it's characters and I can't wait to read more of Veronica's novels :)
