Gideon has been whispering sweet nothings into Rosaline's mind. Rosaline thinks nonstop about Gideon but he keeps disappearing. Why?

Her mother had always told her horrible stories about wolves. But she is in for the shock of her life. Will she accept what her heart says? Or go through with this mock of a wedding to William?

This was a good story I enjoyed it. I would recommend it for those who like shifters and vamps. There were small grammar issues but nothing major. And we do get a cliffhanger. This is a short book.

Four Mystical Stars! Rosaline is a vampire and she has been contracted to marry William which her parents arranged when she was a child. William is a total jerk initially but by the time he starts to change his ways to win her over Gideon enters the picture. Gideon keeps sending Rosaline messages through her mind and she can't stop thinking about him. Will Rosaline go through with the marriage to William or will Gideon be able to change her mind? This story is a novella and is book one of the Scent of Blood Series. The story does end on a cliff hanger so be prepared, but it will leave you anxious for book two. I enjoyed this book and found it to be well written. If you are looking for a great supernatural book with amazing characters then you must read this!

Rosaline is set to marry William, a vampire from a influential family arranged when she was a young child. As she gets older she realises that she, not only doesn't love William, she actually doesn't like him. As William is from a powerful family she has no choice but to marry him. However powerful the family is, there is always a chink in their armour, a skeleton in the cupboard.
This story follows Rosaline as she hears a soft voice on the wind, and sees a handsome brown haired man in her dreams. Her mother had told her stories of werewolves in the forest and of their evil nature luring innocent vampires to their dens. It's theses stories that make Rosaline fight the growing love for Gideon. As the dreams become real Rosaline starts to realise that her love for this stranger will tear her family apart.
I enjoyed this short but sweet book. You get a feeling of the family situation and why Rosaline is promised to William. It's not explained fully but you get the feeling that it is because of past history between Rosaline's father and William's Father and tradition. As you read you feel the strength of Rosaline's love for her family, her love for Gideon as she understands that he is a werewolf and how it goes against everything that her parents have taught her about love.
Maybe fairy stories taught as a child are true after all.
I'm giving this 4 stars. This is because book one is setting the story of how Rosaline meets Gideon. Book two takes the story further and explained far more. It is possible to just read book one but I strongly recommend you carry on and read book two.

ARC received in return for an honest review. This was my first ever vampire/werewolf book and I loved it. In this book we meet Rosaline a vampire who is being prepared to marry fellow vampire William it is an arranged marriage William seems happy enough but even though Rosalines heart's elsewhere she's prepared to go through with it in order to save her family's coven but when she meets Gideon it changes things she has strong feelings for him as does he towards her he knows she belongs to him even though she's set to marry William and then there's the small fact of him being werewolf just to complicate things. It does all work out in the end Gideon fights for his soul mate and proves indeed true love conquers all.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review what can I ay without giving to much away some parts of this book made me feel sad I could actually feel Gideons and rosaline,s love grow in this story it's like I was there with them didn't like William at first but he grew on me there are other characters that I feel could have their own stories I want more that is how good this story is I will continue to read this author,s book give this book a go you won't be disappointed.

Copy of book received in exchange for honest review! Oh my god! I absolutely loved this book.... It's the first vampire/werewolf book I have read and couldn't put it down. Such a romantic story about soul mates with a Vilinus touch to it too. Can't recommend this enough and hope there are more to come :-)

Rosaline is a YA forbidden romance. What happens when a werewolf finds his soul mate in a vampire that is getting ready to be married to another vampire in arranged marriage? You need to read Rosaline to find out. I really love how the story was told. Penelope did a amazing job on it.

I have to admit I'm not much of a vampire person or vampire book person. I have to say that usually I would much rather do a werewolf or dragon book if I was going to read a paranormal. But I thought I would give this book a chance.

I have to say that this book was completely surprising to me. It wasn't so much about the vampire aspect, but more of the romance and connection between the two characters.

I liked Rosaline. She's a vampire who is promised to another vampire named William, so they can bring their covens together. That is until Rosaline finds out that what she thought were childhood fairy tales told by her parents, aren't fairy tales at all. And her true soul mate is a werewolf.

I loved Gideon. We first meet him through his mental connection with Rosaline. You can tell how connected to Rosaline he is and how much he cares about her.

I did really enjoy reading this book. And holy cow did the author leave us with a cliffhanger ending. I really hope we will get more of Rosaline and Gideon.

I'm giving this book 4 Stars out of 5!!!!
