Step into a magical winter wonderland, to get you in the holiday spirit -New England style!

From one of my favorite longtime authors- Joanne DeMaio brings fans and new readers, the perfect holiday keepsake, WISHING ON SNOWFLAKES, featuring two of my favorite Christmas stories in one book. Who could ask for a better gift! Both books would make a great Hallmark Christmas movie.

SNOWFLAKES AND COFFEE CAKES, takes you to the small New England town of Addison Cove, CT, for a heartwarming white Christmas, of love, family and the power of snowflakes.

Vera loses her boyfriend and her job as a journalist at a Boston newspaper and decides to return home for her sister Brooke’s wedding. While there, she finds an Old Dutch colonial home for sale with an old Christmas barn which took her back to her childhood. She decides to buy the property and begins restoring the house and barn and discovered the prior owner’s letter and lots of Christmas treasures. She takes on some freelance jobs and is enjoying this quaint little town and all it has to offer.

While she is shopping for supplies at the local hardware store she meets Derek, a quiet man who has lost his daughter Abby from an ice-covered drowning in a pond around Christmas time. Each year in memory of his daughter, he hosts an annual Deck the Boat light show.

Between Brooke’s love for baking and Derek and Vera’s growing love, there is much in store this Christmas as the holiday approaches. Combined with a snow storm, healing, unexpected love, and bringing an old business back to life – the Christmas spirit greets this small quaint town.

* * * * * * *

SNOW DEER AND COCOA CHEER a magical story filled with humor, which will warm your heart; where old-fashioned nostalgia, meets contemporary enchanting- setting the mood for an unforgettable winter wonderland love story, second chances, and special holiday wishes.

Jane March, single, age 33-- has lost her jingle. A greeting card designer for New England’s Cobblestone Cards, she has a broken arm, at the worst possible time, as the holidays are approaching. She returns to recuperate at her mom Lillian’s farmhouse in Addison. (an artist).

She has set up an office at her mom’s house and is not finding what she needs to begin a new line of this season’s cards. No inspiration. She is fresh out of ideas, and worries she may lose her job. Her boss has agreed to allow her to work from home; however, he is expecting new and exciting.

Then one day she finds an old box of charming wintry watercolors from her mom’s collection, adding snow and balsam garland and twinkly lights to the white picket fence, and other details on her computer generated to enhance the program, adds a few jingles, and she begins to feel a spark. She sends off the samples to her boss and he loves it. Now he wants more. When asking her mom for help she leaves her an “I INSIST List”.

She tells her daughter she needs to get out of the house and visit places within the quaint small town. Every canvas of hers was painted straight from her heart. Experience the setting, memories, the people, nature, and inspiration will come. She has to LIVE IT!

Wes Davis, her mom's postman is not a happy person. He was engaged to be married to Shelia, and she backed out a few days before the wedding. Now he has lost his apartment, and moves home to Addison, to live with his dad in the old Victorian family home. He dreads all the small town people and their sympathy. He has to hear all the “I’m sorry”and regrets from everyone on his mail route.

Jane is unable to drive and difficult to get around without the use of her arm still in a sling. It starts with the postman. She needs the postman to deliver her work to the door versus walking to the mailbox. They begin to communicate by leaving one another notes in the mailbox. If she needs a ride, or a desperate trip into town, or other things on her list, she leaves a desperate note and puts up the red flag. They soon look forward to packages and special notes from one another. Every day is filled with anticipation-- it could be a word, a trinket, one line, a note, or a question about an upcoming date. It is all about the red flag.

When a possible exciting job offer comes from his friend, Wes is torn between the girl, who may have stolen his heart, and his new dog Comet, the magical town, to the pull of escaping this town for new opportunities.

Mesmerizing. Magical. Quintessential New England style. A beautiful Christmas love story of second chances. Loved it! Refreshing. In today’s world of social media, where everything is digital, we lose the intimacy of handwritten notes, and nothing better than an old-fashioned mailbox with special deliveries.

Two wonderful holiday stories, with special magical snowflakes and the scent of pine needles wafting through the air, and a charming town, with family and new friends that seem to have stepped out of the pages of a storybook– Romantic, Magical, and Whimsical. Where special treasures await!

Take a look at Joanne's website (so inviting)! I want to be there NOW. A winter holiday wonderland. Especially if you reside in South Florida where there is "no chance" of snow in the forecast, ever.

Snowflakes and Coffee Cakes:

This is such a darling Christmas book about the power of snowflakes and coffee cakes....but also about grief, honor and the power of love and friendship. Loss can make the heart grow weary, but love and the holiday spirit can bring the heart back to life. The Christmas spirit transforms a town when a snowstorm hits. So many people step forward and go to great lengths in order to honor one of their own. There is so much charm in this story...it is a feel good kind of story. I loved the beautiful descriptions of snowflakes and snowfall so much so that I am ALMOST looking forward to seeing the snow fly. This a great story to start off your Christmas reading.

Snow Deer and Cocoa Cheer:

To me this is the best book reading time of year. I love snuggling up into bed, with my coffee and a good book. I love Fall weather and I am even more in love with the holiday season! DeMaio managed to capture all of the things I love in one book! She captured the feeling of this time of year perfectly! DeMaio allows us to revisit familiar people and places, but has a new and engaging story for us to escape in. We are completely taken in by the setting of the story. Her beautifully detailed and well imagined story makes the reader want to jump inside the book and live along side of all the characters. This time of year is about feeling good, second chances, finding love and embracing the life we live and DeMaio has brought that to us in an engaging, heartwarming and original story that will make you want to start getting ready for Christmas today! Thanks Joanne for writing this book! It was an amazing start to my holiday reading! Plus, it will make a wonderful gift for my book loving friends!

I was so delighted to be part of Wishing on Snowflakes street team in exchange for an honest review of this book. Both of these stories in one book by Joanne DeMaio take your heart on a wonderful, snowflake filled ride, filled with rich, warm, beautiful descriptions of Holiday decorations, pines adorning doors, trees with bright twinkling lights, and make you feel you are part of these quaint CT towns and folks within. Snowflakes and Coffee Cakes is a heartwarming poignant story of two main characters, Vera, and Derek who meet when Vera returns to her hometown after losing her job, and immediately falls in love with an old colonial home, buys it, then asks Derek who works in a hardware store to help her renovate her house. Theirs is a story of their journey which includes beautiful but painful memories of Derek's daughter, Abby. The town comes to life during a blizzard helping shelter neighbors with the renewal and celebration of the old Christmas Barn and its enchanting Christmas magic.

Snow Deer and Cocoa Cheer is also an endearing story of Jane who is an artist of greeting cards who has just broken her arm and is living at home with her Mom trying to find herself again. Wesley is a mailman struck by Jane's charm and they start putting notes to one another in her mailbox which leads to a second chance perhaps at love after his breakup of the wedding which didn't happen. Both Jane and Wes are wary, wondering if they can trust again enough in a future. I think what I loved best about both of these stories is Joanne's richness of her descriptive writing, the wonder and magic of Christmas and giving the sense of being right inside these lives. Both capture you heart strings, and remain long after you put the book down,

This book is actually a great combination of two novels.

In my opinion, perfect!

Each story centers around the small town of Addison, Connecticut and takes place in the fall of the year. Each story is easily a stand alone, but when put together they bring so much more Christmas cheer. I loved how I could read one book and then head right back to the same town and characters the very next Christmas season and catch up on the characters in the next book. As I started reading I found myself thinking " What would it be like to live in Addison?" I was immediately drawn into each story and the characters.

Vera Sterling has returned home in February for her sister's wedding. Unknown to her family Vera has lost her job in Boston and is at a crossroads of her life, but one look at an old Dutch Colonial and the Christmas Barn she is flooded with childhood memories. Her trip down memory lane and the longing for a home clutches her heart and she makes a decision that will change her life.

7 months later she finds herself still without a job, but now the owner of that Dutch Colonial she visited in February that holds so many good memories. On problem it's rundown since the previous owners move to Florida and definite renovations are not just needed but a necessity.

Luckily Cooper Hardware is just down the street and the proprietor's son, Derek, is willing to help out as needed. Just one problem renovations cost money so she is in search of a job at the local newspaper.

One year later, Jane March finds herself back home in Addison living with her mom after an accident. Jane works for Cobblestone Cards as a designer so being off work for 6 weeks is not good. First, the manger has already told her he needs new designs and jingles from her, but it seems like she's lost her creativity. So even if she's on a medical leave it will be a working leave of absence. How does one go about getting her spark back? Her mother gives her a list of 10 items to accomplish that will get her involved in celebrating the Christmas season and at the same time reconnect with her creativity.

Each story brings a different aspect of the Christmas season. Each plot is sweet and flows effortlessly. This is an endearing collection that brings beautiful imagery, engaging characters, romantic tension and lots of holiday cheer. The secondary characters are well integrated. The author weaves words together that evoke many emotions, from laughter to tears. Some books you like, but this collection swallowed me heart and soul.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good story with a holiday twist.

*I received this book from the author for a honest opinion without bias or outside influence. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Snowflakes and Coffee Cakes

Vera went home for her sister Brooke's wedding. She had just lost her job at the newspaper but didn't let anyone know. She was on her way back to her place when she decided to stop in a winter storm at the old Christmas Barn. She found out that it was for sale but was in need of repair.

Vera decided to take her severance pay and purchase it. She was trying to fix it up and Derek at the hardware store decided to help her with some of the repairs.

I loved this book and each time I read one of Joanne DeMaio's books I think this is the best one I have read so far. Then I read another and say this is the best one so far. Each book by her I read keeps getting better and better.

I really liked her beach books and I have noticed that all her books somewhat intertwine with each other, however you can read them in any order and still follow along with what is going on.

Truly amazing books. So glad I got this for an early birthday gift.

Snow Deer and Cocoa Cheer

Jane March has hurt her hand and is taking a leave of absence from work and staying with her Mother until she gets her cast off. She is a greeting card designer who is loosing "her jingle". She needs to rest and come up with new ideas for her cards or her job might be in jeopardy.

Wes is a mailman who is supposed to be getting married near Christmas except he run into
complications with that. So he has moved into his Dad's house because he didn't renew the lease on his apartment with the upcoming wedding.

Two people who need to sort out their past and determine what their future will hold. Joanne DeMaio takes you through their emotions and leads you on an incredible journey. The way she spins her story you can picture yourself in Addison , you will revisit with friends that you met in her other books.

You get to meet Pete, Wes's dad and Lillian, Jane's Mom and you wonder is there a story there as well. If you haven't read this book you really should.

SNOWFLAKES AND COFFEE CAKES is a heartwarming story of loss and love, hope and happiness.
The story is set in the quaint New England town of Addison with a wonderful small-town atmosphere. The characters are warm, likable and realistic.
Vera Sterling, recently fired from her Boston newspaper job, goes home to Addison for her sister Brooke’s wedding. As she’s leaving to return to Boston, she discovers an old colonial home on the banks of Addison Cove for sale. On an impulse, she buys the house and adjoining barn not really knowing what the future holds for her.
As she begins to make repairs on the house, she meets Derek Cooper, whose family owns the local hardware store. Derek is a quiet-sort of guy filled with grief and guilt over his young daughter’s drowning death five years earlier. After losing his daughter and the break-up of this marriage, Derek exists but doesn’t live.
Derek has a ritual each year at Christmas he conducts in honor of his late daughter and the entire community turns out to help. This year a terrible snowstorm makes his ritual impossible and Vera does all she can to make the day special just the same.
In the end, Vera and Derek discover that life comes at you every day no matter what has happened and you have to learn how to make the most of it.
SNOWFLAKES AND COFFEE CAKES will swiftly put you in the holiday spirit, while inspiring you to reach for your dreams. This is a feel-good tale that blends family, friends and hope for a warm, tug-at-your heart adventure. It will have you longing to live in a community like Addison.
Author Joanne DeMaio has created a setting that quickly pulls you in and holds you spellbound. She blends romance with a touch of suspense for a well-balanced story that flows smoothly. DeMaio weaves bits of snowflake trivia with delightful holiday traditions that will stimulate your senses.
Grab a cup of hot chocolate and cozy up to the fire with this magical story that will warm your heart and have you believing.
SNOW DEER AND COCOA CHEER

When it comes to making you feel you know the characters personally, author Joanne DeMaio has the knack.
In her latest release, SNOW DEER AND COCOA CHEER, DeMaio takes readers to the quaint, picturesque town of Addison. With an eye for detail and vivid, rich descriptions, the author makes the town come alive around you. The small town atmosphere and friendly characters draws you and makes you want to be a part of the community.
As the lives of the two main characters – Jane March and Wes Davis – come together and interact, readers are taken on a magical journey. The characters will inspire and delight as they gain self-awareness and discover life’s full of unexpected wonders.
The characters are rich, well-developed and likable. The author explores faults and traits with the characters that readers can relate to. The emotions throughout the story will tug on your heartstrings, but is a heartwarming tale you can’t put down.
This is a feel-good story that is a perfect read for the coming holiday season, as well as throughout the year.
FTC Full Disclosure – A copy of this book was sent to me by the publisher. However, receiving the complimentary copy did not influence my review. The thoughts are completely my own and given honestly and freely.

If you haven't read any books by Joanne DeMaio, Wishing on Snowflakes is the perfect place for you to start. These two books in one were my first of hers to read. I've been wanting to read her books for awhile, but my book pile just keeps getting higher and higher! When I was accepted as a Snowy Street Team member for Joanne, I was all too happy to move her books to the top! I am so glad I was introduced to her books on Facebook. I'm not sure exactly who first shared her books, but I'm glad they did!

Snowflakes and Coffee Cakes

The first story in Wishing on Snowflakes is Snowflakes and Coffee Cakes. When Vera loses her job as a journalist in Boston, moving back home to Addison Cove isn't really even on her mind. She's only home for her sister's wedding, but when she falls in love with an old captain's house on the cove...the one where the Christmas Barn used to be...she knows she's got to buy it.

The house requires a lot of TLC, so Vera recruits Derek from the hardware to help her out. She doesn't plan on doing anything with the old Christmas Barn other than renting it out for storage to her mom's friends. When she starts going through the barn, she finds all of the old merchandise and decides to have a tag sale. Well, once she gets decorating, you can only imagine what happens.

The characters in this story are amazing. Derek's backstory is so heartbreaking! I don't want to give anything away, so you're going to have to read this! Vera is so patient and tender with Derek, and their love story is very sweet. You'll love it!

Snow Deer and Cocoa Cheer

Okay, if I thought I liked the first story, this one blew me away! I love love love this book!

Jane March is a greeting card designer...who wouldn't love that job! Unfortunately, she broke her arm, so she's home in Addison Cove where her mom can take care of her. It is the perfect place for her to get her "jingle" back. While she's home, she is waiting for a special delivery in the mail, so she leaves a note for the mailman to please come to the door with the mail.

Wes, of course, thinks she's being a pain and an inconvenience, but once he finds out she's got a broken arm, he feels like a heel. Leaving the flag up on the mailbox becomes Jane's and Wes's way of communicating, and it starts their love story.

I cannot say enough good things about this story! I love the characters. Wes's dad is great. Jane's mom is great. And, obviously, Jane and Wes are great. I'm so in love with Wes! I want a mailman like him! You are going to love these characters too! The way that the story progresses is really believable and the setting is just breathtaking.

In Summary

Both of these books are amazing with characters that are very well-written and very believable. Addison Cove will be a town you are going to want to live in permanently! The plots are well paced and ones that will keep you wanting to stay up late reading. I would categorize these books as clean, just not squeaky clean. Each story has a little bit of language and one closed door romance scene each.

I highly recommend Wishing on Snowflakes!

Wishing on Snowflakes is a wintry collection of 2 holiday-themed, full-length books by the author, Joanne DeMaio. These are the perfect books for a cozy winter evening by the fireplace. No matter where you live, you will be transported to a winter wonderland in New England, a place lit by the gentle glow of candlelight and twinkly lights decorating trees and houses; a place filled with the love and joy of the holidays. These stories will warm your heart and get you into the Christmas spirit!

Snowflakes and Coffee Cakes, a truly charming book, begins with Vera Sterling returning home to the quaint town of Addison for her sister's wedding. Recently laid off, Vera is feeling a bit aimless when she spies a for sale sign at a beautiful old colonial house. Vera has fond memories of the house and the attached Christmas Barn, and she impulsively uses her severance pay to purchase it and to restore it to its former glory. She hires Derek Cooper, owner of the town's hardware store, to help her. Five years earlier, Derek lost his daughter, Abby, in a tragic accident, and he has been unable to move forward. As Derek and Vera become friends, Derek begins to wonder if Vera can lift him out of the darkness and into the light. Their story is a lovely one, as Derek, reluctantly at first, begins to shed his sadness, allowing himself the possibility of love.

Snow Deer and Cocoa Cheer is another heart-warming story. Jane is a greeting card designer who has lost her jingle, and is afraid of losing her job if she doesn't come up with a winning design. She is recuperating at her mother's house after breaking her arm in a fall. Wesley is a third-generation mailman, and Jane needs his help getting her mail, thanks to a persnickety door and her broken arm. Wes has recently been jilted by his fiancé, and although he is drawn to Jane, he's reluctant to let Jane into his heart. As he and Jane grow closer, he knows that Jane and her smile have thawed his heart, but he doesn't know if he can trust his heart anymore. The growing friendship of Jane and Derek is so sweet, and their method of communicating by using the red flag on the mailbox is so charming, especially in this day of tweets and texts!
Both stories take place in the quaint town of Addison, Connecticut, and the setting is as much a part of the stories as the characters who live there. Although contemporary romances, both books have a sweet nostalgic feel.

WISHING ON SNOWFLAKES
AUTHOR: JOANNE DEMAIO

FIVE STARS

Once again Joanne DeMaio proves why she is a New York best selling author. WISHING ON SNOWFLAKES is an extra special gift from her to her readers. SNOWFLAKES AND COFFEE CAKES and SNOW DEER AND COCOA CHEER are two of Joanne’s best Christmas novels and she has included both in this keepsake edition. Both stories are fantastic! You will love the way Joanne describes the scenes in each of these wonderful love stories that are set in a charming New England town. You will want to grab a cup of cocoa, a warm throw and snuggle in front of a fire. These two books are must-reads for the holidays.

SNOWFLAKES AND COFFEE CAKES: Vera Sterling and Derek Coopers love story happens. Vera loses her job as a journalist in Boston and returns to her small hometown of Addison Cove just in time for her sisters wedding. She decides to extend her stay when she discovers a historic colonial home and barn that needs a lot of repairs. Through all the renovations she meets Derek Cooper. His family owns the local hardware store where she buys her supplies to renovate the house and barn. Derek is a wonderful man whose young daughter died a tragic death that lead to his marriage ending.

Derek and Vera both were at a disappointing time in their lives. A terrible snowstorm hits Addison Cove and it could change everything. SNOWFLAKES AND COFFEE CAKES is a sweet story of second chances.

SNOW DEER AND COCOA CHEER: My personal favorite! I have gifted many copies of this book to my friends and family. It definitely takes me back to all my favorite memories of my childhood Christmas’s. Jane is a greeting care designer who broke her wrist and moved home to Connecticut to heal. She was having a hard time finding inspiration for her art work for her greeting cards until she discovered a box of her mothers art work.

Wes is her mailman who recently had his wedding cancelled. His heartbreak has caused him to lose his holiday spirit. When their paths cross again, the holidays get a little brighter. If the red flag on the mailbox is up, exciting things happen.

These are two feel good Christmas love stories. They will definitely put you in the holiday mood!

Wishing on Snowflakes by Joanne DeMaio

This is a book that has 2 of Joanne DeMaio’s books together in one volume. It is nice having both books together. Two great Christmas stories that take place in Addison, Connecticut, a quaint New England town.

The first book is Snowflakes and Coffee Cakes, in this story, Vera the main character loses her job in Boston and is coming back to Addison, Connecticut for a wedding. While there she notices a house for sale with an attached barn, on a whim she buys it. She meets Derek the owner of a hardware store, who she becomes closer to as she needs to do many repairs to the house and barn. Derek struggles with Christmas as he lost his daughter to a drowning accident. He honors her every Christmas with an annual Deck the Boats festival, this year a snowstorm comes and threatens this event. The whole town pulls together to try to make this happen. This is a story of love, loss, loyalty and friendship.

The second books is Snow Deer and Cocoa Cheer, Jane designs greeting cards and is staying with her mom after she broke her arm but has lost her jingle. Wes is the local mailman who she knows from childhood. They develop a friendship as he helps her get her jingle back by following an I insist list her mother gave her to help her designing her holiday cards. Wes is finding his way again after he is jilted before his wedding and doesn't know what to make of Jane. I love the New England setting, as always, the author makes the characters relatable and you find yourself pulling for them. I love how she pulls people and places from her other books but it doesn't change the story if you don't read the others, although I recommend you do read all of her books. This book definitely gets you in the holiday mood.

I have read all of Joanne’s books and she never disappoints. Living on Cape Cod, I can relate to the New England town charm in her books. Highly recommend this book and her others.

I received and ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Warm and Cozy with a dash of love! That is exactly what you will find in Wishing on Snowflakes, which contains 2 of Joanne DeMaio’s books! Once you open the book and start to read you will truly find yourself right in the middle of this homey little New England town of Addison.
In the first story, Snowflakes and Coffee Cakes, you meet Vera Sterling, whom has come back to Addison after losing her job, where she buys a historical little place call the Christmas Barn and begins restoring it. Derek Cooper is a man that tragedy struck in his life and he has not been able to let go; and his family owns and runs the town Hardware store, Vera meets Derek who also works as handyman. Derek agrees to help Vera as time permits. Neither is looking for anything more than to make it through the day and two forms a unique friendship. Get the book and read to find out just how the specialness of a snowflake can make the difference in the lives of so many. Very touching story!
Snow Deer and Cocoa Cheer is the second story in the book, where Jane March, a greeting card designer, that broke her wrist and comes home to heal. She is staying with her mom and helping her out. She hopes find her inspiration again; which she just might when she finds something of her mom’s and makes a friend with her mailman. Wes Davis is her mailman that has lost his holiday spirit since he was recently a groom, that is until his wedding was cancelled. Jane and Wes’ paths cross and as reluctant as he is to let someone into his heart, he still is drawn to help Jane out after seeing her arm in a sling. As their paths continue to cross and they help each other out, they both seem to find something. This is my favorite story. It is so touching and full of a warmth of love that just simply reaches out and pulls you in. This is definitely a must read story! Joanne DeMaio is a writer that pulls you into any book that she writes!
So go get your book and cozy up with a warm blanket and cup of cocoa and turn that first page!

I was very fortunate to have been chosen to be a part of the Snowy Street Team for "Wishing on Snowflakes," the new release by Joanne DeMaio. It is a combination of two previously-released books titled "Snowflakes and Coffeecakes" and "Snow Deer and Cocoa Cheer." I received an electronic copy of the book free in exchange for an honest review.

This was my first time reading anything by Joanne DeMaio. I have had several of her books on my to-read list in the past and just never got around to reading them -- definitely my bad!! I did not realize what I was missing out on for all of this time until now.

Both of these novels are set in the small, quaint town of Addison, Connecticut just before the holiday season begins and involve a lot of the same people. The characters are well-developed and before you know it, they have become your friends.

The first novel opens with a wedding getting ready to take place, but the real story lies in a relationship between someone losing a job and returning home to live again and someone trying to get past a personal tragedy.

The second novel opens with news that a wedding has been cancelled just a few weeks before the scheduled date. The story revolves around someone picking up the life's pieces and someone healing after an accident. As both people heal, love blossoms.

Both novels involve all of the senses and feature a lot of holiday decorating, family, good food, good friends, and lots of snow . . . all of the ingredients for a wonderful holiday season!! In fact, the books would be a great holiday gift for someone, even yourself!!

I have to admit I was sad to see the stories come to an end. The next day I was wondering how my friends in Addison were doing. These DeMaio books are a quick read and definitely worth your time. I know I am glad I can finally add her to my list of favorite authors and will read more of her novels in the future.

Wishing on Snowflakes by Joanne DeMaio
Have enjoyed all of the author's other works and knew I'd enjoy this one as well.
Snowflakes and Coffee Cakes
What I especially like about this book is that there are two full length books, surrounding the town of Addison during the cold winter months.
Such a close knit community and love the events that take place in the New England town.
Story is about Vera who's landed a job writing about the town's events for the local paper. She also calls on Derek for help remodeling the house and barn she bought.
She knows he hurts from the loss of his daughter as to others in the town and she has an idea to commemorate her life.
Snow is magical with the wishes upon the winter stars. Love learning snow axioms and other trivia and technical facts of snowflakes.
...
Snow Deer and Cocoa Cheer
Love how they help out one another for each of their businesses. Jane is a card designer and Wes is the local mailman.
Love their careers and learning a lot of new things about whittling, white tail deer, etc.
Love the magic of the season as the winter events occur.
You won't go wrong in reading these stories, such treasures!
I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.

Wishing on Snowflakes is actually two heart warming holiday stories in one! Both stories take place in the charming New England town of Addison, and share overlapping characters which blend the two tales seamlessly. Joanne DeMaio, one of my very favorite authors, writes beautiful stories, sweet and magical, her words and descriptions pull you in and make you never want to leave. Her characters are honestly, achingly REAL, nothing perfect about them - each so very human. It's so easy to connect with her books, to lose yourself in the stories she tells, she makes me want to visit the towns, with their wonderful stores, people and the feeling of community.

Honestly, I didn't want this book to end. I plan on rereading it a bit closer to Christmas because each take brings alive the true meaning of Christmas and I could visualize the lovely crafts, ships and people. Rereading it will be like going home for the holidays.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it. I loved it!

* I was privileged to be able to reviewed an advanced copy of this book in exchange for a far and honest review *

What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than not one but two of Joanne DeMaio's Christmas stories. I discovered Joanne's books last summer and have now read all her books and anxiously await her next one . Wishing on Snowflakes is the perfect gift for yourself or someone on your Christmas list. Her writing makes you feel like you're part of the story and as you read her other books you see how she brings different characters from previous books into a new story ! Highly recommend this book as well as any of her books, you won't be disappointed.

Wishing on Snowflakes contains two stories - "Snow Flakes and Coffee Cakes" & "Snow Deer and Cocoa Cheer" by Joanne DeMaio.

I absolutely loved these stories. These are wonderful holiday stories. I was sad to have the first story end and pleasantly surprised to see those characters appear in the second story.

The characters were likable and it was a very pleasant book to read. The description of the town made me feel like I was there. I will be reading other books by Joanne DeMaio.

I received this book as a gift and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

I am a huge fan of Joanne DeMaio and have read all of her books, from her very first one. I just love her stories. And I love reading Christmas stories. Joanne has taken two of her holiday stories and has now combined them into one book, just in time for the season. I loved them both and I am absolutely in love with this cover!

If you are like me and enjoy reading some holiday cheer, you are going to want to grab this one and you will fall in love with her books, just like I did.

Two stories of finding love and enjoying the wonder of Christmas time. The descriptions given by the author made me feel like I was right there in the winter snow and enjoying all of the festivities. Decorations, snowflakes, warm coffee cake and the scents of the Christmas season are all found in these stories. Love lost, love found and new beginnings and the mystery of snowflakes are all part of the wonder of Wishing on Snowflakes.

Loveeee these two heartwarming novels by Joanne Demaio. They made me feel as if I was one of the residents of Addison Cove strolling through town taking in all the beautiful Christmas scenery, chatting with the other residents about the upcoming holiday, etc. Highly recommend these great novels to all East Coast fans who love to celebrate hometown Christmas holidays and who love to read small town romance stories
