Wow, just wow! This book…

Savage is like if Tarzan and Castaway combined and turned in to a PERFECT little smutty read!

Jane (appropriate, right? LOL) as been trying to escape her lonely reality in the city, and looking for something more, so when she survives – is rescued – from her sinking boat, by a savage looking beast of a man, things sure start to get interesting.

They attraction was immediate, as was his caring and devotion, and with that and feeling safe in his arms, for the first time in her life, Jane felt the loneliness go away…

It wasn’t the feeling of coming home. It was, for the first time, feeling what could be home.

He may have been a mute savage, but he took care of her like no one else ever did, even her pleasure, without wanting or asking for anything in return. But when one day, his speech comes back, after years of isolation and loneliness, she doesn’t take no for an answer, and pushes him to reveal his true nature and desires, until his control, simply breaks…

“I don’t want you to control what happens next,” I said, slipping the first button free. “I don’t want you to control yourself around me any longer. I don’t want the educated, civilized man I know now you are.” My fingers weren’t trembling any longer as I undid the second button. “I want the savage, uncivilized man who saved me from the ocean and grunted mine into my ear.”

And oh, boy, was he a surprise!!! Once he let out his desires and spoke of them, I’m surprise that the palm trees didn’t burn with his smoking hot sexual nature and his filthy mouth!

“I want to throw you onto all fours, shove between your legs, and fuck you until you can’t walk. I want to come inside you until I can’t come anymore and every last seed in my body is swimming in yours. I want to mate with you. I want to breed you. I want to mount you and make you scream my name while I take your body again, and again”—something dark flashed in his eyes when they opened, his cock throbbing in my hand—“and again.”

Sweet Baby Jesus!!! This man was beyond HOT!!! And what makes him absolutely irresistible in his savage and sexual manner, is that he has always been looking (even before getting stranded there) for someone to fill in that hole he has in his life, in his soul.

"I hoped I’d find someone to share life with, instead of spending the rest of mine alone.” He paused to take a breath. As he exhaled, he drew me closer. “I was looking for you.”
I smiled, raising a brow. “You were looking for me?”
He nodded once. “I might not have known your name or what you looked like or where or when I’d meet you, but yes, I was looking for you.”

I had no idea it was possible for such a savage and primal of a man, to have such sweetness, devotion, care, and love in him! I was delightfully surprised, because he had some of the sweetest and loving thoughts on Jane. It was really hard to choose within SO many of his brilliant and swoon worthy quotes. Here are just a few to show you what I’m talking about!

She was my heaven, my saving grace. I’d give anything to make her happy. I’d sacrifice everything to keep her safe. Fuck, I’d give my life just to save her the discomfort of a scratch. She was precious to me in a way that made everything else pale in comparison—including my own life.

“Because you might bring out the savage in me, but you also tame the savage within me.”

Not that she wanted to, but really, who could resist that???!!! Grant was an absolute OTT Swoon-Worthy Alpha, that I will not soon forget! These Kat Austen’s books just keep getting better and better, and I seriously can wait for the next!!! <3 <3 <3

I hadn’t just picked Jane because she was the only female I’d seen in years. I picked her because she was mine. She picked me because I was hers. It had taken us years to find one another, and we’d both suffered a harrowing journey to get here, but we’d both arrived.
Jane was the one my soul had mated with lifetimes ago. Hers was the same soul mine would find in whatever lifetimes I had left.
Of this, I was certain.

WARNING, MILD SPOILERS AHEAD!

This is my second book by this author and I loved it! I'm sure Alexa Riley fans will love this one, since it's super safe, well as safe as you can get on a deserted island in the middle of an ocean with just two people on that said island. And not only you get one virgin, nope, there are two! It's like Christmas to me. Seriously, this book reminded me so much of an Alexa Riley book because of that one single thing that I always complain about and that is that the story was too short! I wanted more, more, more!!! The plot reminded me a bit of the movie Cast Away with Tom Hanks but without Wilson. In fact there were quite some funny parts, like how 'Tarzan' lost his ability of speech (temporary of course). All in all, both characters were, to me at least, quite funny and super great. And don't even get me started on the whole Me Jane, you Tarzan thing. It's safe to say some pretty sexy scenes evolved from that. ;) The ending was also sweet and made wonderfully.
As already said, I wanted to read more of the story. The only thing left for me to do is patiently wait for the next book.

4 - "My mind I'll keep civilized when it comes to you... but don't expect the same from my body." Stars!

Kat Austen delivers up another, quick and smutty offering, and if I ever find myself stuck on a deserted island in Micronesia I definitely want my own Grant aka Tarzan as named by our intrepid heroine Jane.

As you can guess this is the authors erotic take on the Loin clothed lovely, and for the most part it was a pretty enjoyable read.

It was odd how silence could be so telling. How quiet could be so revealing…

What starts off with a bearded savage with no voice, soon turns into an explanation of man who has been marooned for years on an island, and as soon as Jane washes up, his baser instincts start to reawaken…

The ending was a tad abrupt with this one for me, one minute they were going at it like two island natives, and the next we were on the epilogue, but apart from that the author delivered up exactly what I was expecting her too, so a good time was had all round!

"My first. My only. My last. My forever… My everything."

Finally, this one is way better than the last few books I've read. It's short but very enjoyable read. It's sweet and I loved both MCs.

The story is about Grant and Jane.

Jane left her job to search for something/someone. If not because of Grant saving her, she would have died when her ship had sunk.

He's been on the island, alone, for at least 5-6 years and haven't spoken for at least two years. But when she was in danger again, it just comes back.

Grant is a great man. Even when he can't talk, he still takes care of her. Giving her all she needs before she even ask for anything. He's so swoon-worthy!

There's a nice epilogue

On a quest to find herself, Jane sets sail and is toppled at sea during a storm. Her rescuer immediately utters the word, "mine".
As consciousness started to fade, my body thrashing at the ocean’s mercy, I suddenly felt something that wasn’t so violent and foreboding. It came in the form of two strong arms winding around me from behind and drawing me close. My body started to glide through the water, away from the wreckage.

The farther I got from the wreckage, the more the roar of the waves dimmed until the noise was just a rolling echo. That was when I heard another sound. Just one word. The voice of my ghost savior. “Mine.”

Grant has been on the island for 5 or 6 years. After an injury he was left in a more "savage" state. The two start to develop what they know is meant to be.
My head tipped. “You didn’t mean mine?” His hand reached for mine, stilling it as my fingers moved to the next button. “No. I didn’t mean it as in you belong to me. But as in I belong to you.”

“Right now you’re surrounded by a roasting shark that bit your leg, which I’m trying to keep from getting infected. What’s so beautiful about this?” When his eyes turned to me, the flames from the fire were reflected in them. He held my stare for a moment then another. “You’re here.”

My biggest complaint is I wanted him to stay "savage". Because I was wanting some of this:
He suddenly became that dirty-talking alpha I love but it just seemed out of place...though it was totally hot!
“I want to throw you onto all fours, shove between your legs, and fuck you until you can’t walk. I want to come inside you until I can’t come anymore and every last seed in my body is swimming in yours. I want to mate with you. I want to breed you. I want to mount you and make you scream my name while I take your body again, and again”— something dark flashed in his eyes when they opened, his cock throbbing in my hand—“ and again.”

“You give me your body now, you’ll give it to me again. Whenever I ask you to. Whenever I feel my cock stir, it will be your body that sates it. I’ve waited for this for a long time, and if you give yourself to me in this way, you won’t know a reprieve from either my cock pumping inside you or my cum running out of you.”

But all and all I absolutely loved Grant and he was so sweet. I highlighted the heck out of this book. Grant was so stinking swoon worthy, I think I was sighing and grinning the whole time.
His eyes drifted from the sky to mine for a moment, his hand pressing deeper into my waist. “I hoped that in some way, out here, away from everything I’d known, that I’d find the meaning and purpose I’d spent most of my life searching for. I hoped I’d find someone to share life with, instead of spending the rest of mine alone.” He paused to take a breath. As he exhaled, he drew me closer. “I was looking for you.”

“My first. My only. My last. My forever.” I pressed my lips into her forehead. “My everything.”

Jane was the one my soul had mated with lifetimes ago. Hers was the same soul mine would find in whatever lifetimes I had left.

So overall, a sweet, low angst, swoon-worthy read!

☆☆☆☆☆4.5 stars for me!

They say true love will always find a way.

Grant and Jane were two lost souls. Each grew up without love and nurturing, but they found that in each other.

This totally hit the spot for me. It was sweet, smutty and totally far fetched! They were the only two characters in the story so it was 100% safe

This was a good, quick read! Grant and Jane were very sweet together! I do wish they had gotten off the island though - only because they had kids. It bummed me out to think of the kids being raised on that island and never knowing other kids. Plus how will they meet their soul mates? Anyway, I'm sure I was one of the only ones bugged by this, but I like to envision the HEA years from the point where the book ends and while the ending is great for H and h it's not so great for the kids - in my opinion!

This book is a definite for the Alexa Riley insta love type of story.

Or you had a Tarzan/Jane fantasy!!

It is pure escapism. The hero has been marooned on an island for years.

The heroine who iirc was a 24 year old nurse, somehow had enough money to buy herself a small yacht and sail off around the world...but we will go with it!

She ends up in a storm, overboard and is saved by "Tarzan". Who does not speak. But is ofc sexy and hot.

It soon heats up between them and they are soon in love.

As I say, I did enjoy it, and it is pure fantasy. A nice light read.

What can I say, but this book is PERFECT!
The hero is the manly TARZAN survivor type with very little to say but Mine...at first.
The heroine is a sweet unassuming sensual innocent type called JANE.
Yes, it's really a way hotter sexual version of TARZAN of the Apes by E.Rice Burroughs.
However, they are not that similar in terms of plot.
Nonetheless, when we have a Jane character and she is calling him Tarzan (because he has not told her his name yet) the conclusions draws itself here.
The hero is silent for most of the book and we only get Janes take on the situation and her emotions.
It was a short story but I enjoyed it!
There was even an epilogue here!
What more can you ask for here!
A MUST READ!

Safety: hero and heroine both one and only and they are not others on their island!
COMPLETELY SAFE WITHOUT ANY DRAMA.

I will be adding some more reads from this author because the writing was just absolutely hott. And although there was not much to this story other than fate bringing two people together it totally worked and did not bore me at all like some stories with no storyline would. It was just a quick, sweet bedtime read for me.

Good story considering the length and type of read this is.

Hot! With lots of dirty talk.

I personally am not into massive amounts of dirty talk, I prefer it in moderation whereas here it was almost all dirty talk.

I also prefer more tenderness mixed in with the roughness, which I found little to none of here.

All in all I still liked it very much. I especially love the whole stranded on a desert island thing.

I also am glad to see that there was no immature or slangy dialogue. Yippie! I do wish it were longer and it would be nice if there was a sequel.

Safety-NOTHING unsafe here.

This started strong. I loved the beginning. But it fell off the rails once they had sex and he started talking. I think I enjoyed him more as a mute. Although the "mine" - "yours" thing was SUPER cute!

3 1/2 stars Not a bad book. I love this theme in a book and since it's harder to find I snatch up any I can find. This one is a pretty quick read and both the hero and heroine are likable but there are some things in this book that I wished had been a little different.

When our heroine Jane is on a voyage to find herself her boat capsizes and she is sure she will die but right as she is passing out a stranger saves her. Waking up Jane sees that she isn't alone but a scary savage looking man has saved her, quickly Jane realizes that this man has been on the island a very long time and has lost or forgotten how to speak, so Jane calls him(ten cookies for anyone who can guess) yep Tarzan.

Living life on this island with a man who can't talk soon becomes normal, then Janes life is put on the line and that has very unexpected results. Now that Janes life is so different she and Grant/Tarzan find a new happy one that all others pale in comparison to. This is a fun fast read. Tarzan/grant is very sweet and Jane is literally his whole world and treats her as such, I really liked when we find out his meaning of mine whenever he says that to Jane.

As I said there are some things that while I was reading I would say mmmm to myself, Jane is a virgin but the second she is in the bed( to sleep) she turns into something very different and it just seemed off to me how she responded. The other is how Grant/tartans muteness is fixed. I will say I also always think ok what happens when there kids get older will they be all alone, I know I should know this going in but I did start to think about that. Jane and Grant are perfect together and this is a fun sweet and fun fast read, that I really did enjoy.

Random Ramblings
•I liked that the h was independent and an experienced sailor
•For someone who hasn’t spoken for several years, he sure did use big words!
•I loved that they were both virgins!
•As much as I understood their decision, the practical side of me wanted them both to get to civilization for the sake of future children and safety

I’m on a Tarzan/stranded on a desert island kick, so when I saw this on KU… I scooped it up. It starts with Jane washing ashore and being rescued by the H. This is really short, and things go silly early on. Like… , but it’s super short… and wasn’t too bad. But, if you’re looking for substance… this isn’t it.

Bottom Line- This is silly fluff that turns into smutty fluff that turns into cheese fluff. It’s unrealistic, insta-love, double virgin (he’s packing 12 inches) smut with an epilogue a few years out. There’re plot holes, spontaneous “knowings” and a possible magical island. The title is a smidge misleading because nothing here is savage.

Ok, so.....wow, wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow.....I would give this more stars if I could. This is a re-read for sure....maybe over and over. This book gives a whole new meaning to insta-love fantasy books.

I just loved this book, right from the first page, Jane's sailboat starts to sink in a storm, but she is saved by her very own Tarzan (seriously, what woman doesn't want that...none is the answer to that question) aka Grant. He takes care of her, shows her how to "live off the land".....he even saves her from a shark, then goes back in for the shark for their dinner, all while being a gentlemen. He is swoon worthy & panty melting all in one. At one point he says "I hoped I'd find someone to share life with, instead of spending the rest of mine alone.""I was looking for you." (yeah, he just said that and I totally added him to my BBC, book boyfriend collection,....heck with that line he may have just moved to the top). Calling dibs right now.

As the time passes they get so close, you literally feel like they are one. They were 2 lonely souls searching for their missing half. They are proof that soul mates really do exist and if you are lucky enough to find yours, you embrace it with everything you got. This book was sweet, but scorching hot too....I absolutely loved it. I felt like Kat outdid herself with this one.....loved the entire concept and she delivered it perfectly. ARC for Honest Review.

Must be in a book funk QoQ. It is a short cute steamy read, but I was hoping it was longer. The thing about a few themes, like time travelling and stranded places, I hesitate to read is how the ending will make me like it less. I still cannot decide whether I wanted this couple to have this ending.

I enjoyed the story a lot and how they can get closer without having to talk. I also actually find that part a lot more enjoyable to be honest, as this is also the time they emotionally connect without words.

Once the words came in, I was thrown off a bit, as H wasn't what I had expected I guess. While still sweet and I really am glad h have some conversation here, I think H not being able to communicate so well suddenly (which is weird to me), but we are given glimpses of his thoughts would have worked a.lot better for me.

Sexy times is wild and steamy hot, yet again I just found this a bit odd considering how much he should cherish her.

All in all though I had fun reading this.

3.25-3.50 RATING- Another quick and dirty from Kat Austen. Not a lot to work with and another crazy premise but enjoyable. I'd file this under fun to read smut, not to be taken too seriously.

This was a nice little atmospheric beach novella. I wish there was more with “Tarzan’s” inability to talk; I would’ve loved being privy to their conversations, instead of like a book montage of the weeks they spent together. Maybe more of him mixing up words for what he’s trying to say, that was cute. I found their love too convenient, and I wanted more of the sexy times, but it’s only 100+ pages, so I shouldn’t have expected so much. Overall this was an ok read, and I wouldn’t mind reading more from this author.

The recent slew of the (re)interpretations of the Tarzen/Jane story has gotten me hot and bothered...in a good way.

Books or rather, novellas like 'Savage' play happily on archetypes, varying only slightly in the way the Tarzen-type character and his lady get stranded and then get hot and heavy in a place that erases the trappings of modern life - and reduces man to beast and primal urges. But because I know exactly what I'm getting into from the beginning, it's easy to overlook the cheesy bits of the story and just indulge in this guilty pleasure.

There's a slight twist in this story though, at the end and it surprised me enough to make erotica like this memorable.

Me Tarzan you Jane

"Mine"

A hot quick read with ridiculous plot

Jane is rescued near the shores by a man who has been stranded on a desert Island for years.

Wearing a cloth covering his bits and doesn't talk, climbs trees and spears fish.

It was an erotica Tartan and Jane, enjoyable told in dual pov's and the writing easy to follow, finishing with a hea.
