Cute and lovely story with a lot of sex scenes if you like those. I’m not particularly fond of a lot of sex, and sometimes I skimmed, but I liked the plot and the characters. The hero is a truly good guy, who’s been engaged with a bitch of a woman for two years. She is quite the socialite, always perfectly groomed and looking for attentions, while he’s the simple guy who loves his Xbox , his beer and some nice evening watching Netflix. Why not, average kind of guy but really nice. He wants a family, kids, a good job and sex, which is understandable because he’s 26. His girl hasn’t given it to him for the last six months so the poor sod has to do a great job with x rated videos and his hand in the shower. He also has this dream of a sexy redhead that looks very real. One night his gf has a girl night out and cheats on him. He leaves her, and he’s moping for some weeks, then he walks his dog out and meets the heroine. Guess what. She’s a beautiful redhead just like the one in his dreams.
And they start a pleasant and romantic love story. I admit the book is quite cheesy, not a lot of drama, only in a couple of moments when nasty ow comes back to make mischief but it’s all on her side. The hero is into the heroine from the beginning and never falters. He realizes that what he felt for ow was not even compared to what he feels for the heroine. She’s his dream girl. And they go at it like rabbit. The sex part is quite a bit, but in the beginning it was nice because the heroine is a virgin, a girl with severe issues about her looks, her weight, due to some school bullying, and the sex with the hero is good but not unrealistic good, that is it takes some time before she’s able to enjoy all the sex with the very eager and patient hero. So no magic penis here, but a very real and nice approach with a hint of humor.
The hero is a dear, he really loves her and he really is appreciative and supportive about her looks and personality. He’s really a catch.
The couple have also some meddling relatives but not nasty or unbearable. Only a bit overbearing.
The end is sweet and the couple really have a dream life.
I liked the book a lot, it’s not very angsty but lately I’ve been disappointed in all I’ve read, both recent and past books, so beggars can’t be choosers. This author is also a very safe one, or better, she’s safe because when the hero meets the heroine he isn’t with anyone else. In a couple of books he’s stil engaged and married to ow but he never has sex with the, after he meets the heroine and the relationship with ow are always fake. One thing I found bizarre, the obsession of the heroine with the color of her hair, she’s a redhead and she thinks she never had boyfriends because of the color of her hair. Really? And if she finds her hair so ugly why can’t she choose a different colors? Besides this strange fact, the book was entertaining and a good reading.
