Book Three, Motor City Alien Mail Order Brides.

Maverick wasn’t a fan of the planet Earth. He also wasn’t particularly fond of being matched to a human mail order bride. She was too bossy, too fake, too … everything he didn’t want. Until he did.

Stacy spent a year of her life isolated from her friends and family, so she refused to spend another minute that way. That was why she signed up to be matched as a mail order bride. It worked for her sister; it’d work for her, too. As soon as she got past her match’s broody ways.

One cranky alien with no clue how to be romantic, one clingy female who refuses to let her dislike of her match stop her, and one slip of the tongue that set the two on a crash course in how not to fall in love.

What would you do if you found out the man from your fantasies was actually the man from your science fiction?

GET READY TO RUMBLE....AGAIN !!!
Title: Maverick
Sub-Series: Motor City Alien Mail Order Brides
Series: Intergalactic Dating Agency Worlds Collection
Author: Ellis Leigh
Designation: Book Three, Standalone Novella, NO Cliffhanger
My Rating: FIVE HILARIOUSLY SEXY STARS*****
Oh my! Oh my! Oh my! Where do I even begin??? I LOVED THIS BOOK! This is, hands down, one of the cutest, sexiest and most entertaining science fiction romance series I've read this year! Okay, I admit I've been a diehard Ellis Leigh fan for several years and have read every single paranormal romance she has written to date, but Leigh has spread her wings and swooped into the science fiction genre. And folks, very successfully, I might add! The genius of the first book was no fluke because she totally nailed it again with Hudson, the second book, and then knocked it right out of the park with Maverick, the third standalone release of her Motor City Alien Mail Order Brides Series and sub-series of the new Intergalactic Dating Agency Worlds Collection, a Romancing the Alien collaboration from the brilliant minds of eight very talented bestselling authors we all know and love. I realize this may be a wee bit confusing and may cause a few short circuits and quite possibly an information overload, but never fear, our sexy Reithhar alien warrior Master Mechanic and ace pilot Maverick, originally of the planet Xouthhgros, is here to soothe your worries, provide and care for you, catch any prey you may need to be caught, make any necessary repairs to your spaceship, fly you to the moon, defend you from all threats, and handle any other general issues that may arise! And you better believe, they do arise, especially when the translator cores implanted in all Reithharians at birth try to convert the language of the Earth 'hue-mens' from words into pictures! Hubba! Hubba! Translator implants just aren't what they used to be! They don't cut it with the English language, all our human slang and colloquialisms! Oh dear! But let's talk some details!

I adore science fiction, completely smitten with sexy aliens and simply can't live without a daily infusion of romance but give me all three in one sexy science fiction romantic comedy and I'm in heaven! And that's exactly what Ellis Leigh has done with the Motor City Alien Mail Order Brides Series! Cutlass is a fresh, unique, fast-paced, fun-filled easy to follow standalone novella with a sweet, fulfilling and very happy ending. It's also romantic, seductive, humorous and exceptionally well crafted and edited. A big plus in my book! The narrative is beautifully written in the first person with clearly defined his and her alternating perspectives from our two protagonists, sexy alien Reithhar Master Mechanic Maverick and beautiful, sassy data processing project analyst Stacy. The dialogue is smart, snappy, well executed, flows effortlessly and will have you rolling on the floor laughing from beginning to end. But without a doubt, my favorite element of this story is the characters. They are realistic, engaging, relatable and downright hilarious. Oh, and did I mention sexy? Oh my! Maverick is just so darn cute, all grumpy, growly and sexy; I almost swooned! And Stacy, she was truly a work of art. We met her in Hudson's story and I totally hated her, so going into this story, I had already prejudged her. My bad... at my age, I should know never to judge a book by its cover. Stacy totally bowled me over and by the end, she had become my favorite heroine of all three books! Leigh once again demonstrates her incredible talent, imagination, skill, and humor by combining every single one of these elements to craft a divinely entertaining and fun-filled sci-fi romp filled to the brim with sweet romance, a little heartbreaking angst and a treasure trove of one-liners that will keep you laughing into next week! Did I like this book? No, I LOVED it! Would I recommend it? You bet and I am but only for adult readers since it does contain some steamy love scenes! Hey, this is an Ellis Leigh book we're talking about which translated mean SEX! *snicker* Will I read this author again? Abso-freaking-lutely! Just as soon as she releases her next book! And finally, was I entertained? OMG YES! Completely!

Stacy loves her twin sister, Macy, and always has, but sometimes she could be so...well...smart. Yup, that's Macy, the intelligent twin, the overachiever. And then there's her...the not so smart twin... the defective sister... the one who lost a year of her life to cancer and had the scars to remind her of it every single day. She's truly happy that her soon-to-be-fancy-smancy-doctor sister actually found love with a hot stud muffin through the IG Dating Agency. After all, it was her that actually signed Macy up with the agency, but she never dreamed it would work out; at least not for Macy who did nothing but study and led such a dull, boring life.. .or had, as in past tense, until Hudson came along and swept her sister right off her feet. They were now engaged, blissfully happy, and she'd even moved into his apartment. So sweet! Not! Yup, he was a total hottie, and in all honesty, if Macy weren't her sister, she'd totally go in for the steal. She hadn't really believed all the agency's hype but obviously there must be something to it. And now, Macy spends all her free time with Hudson and not with her, and she's so lonely. Well, there's only one thing to do. She would apply to the IG Dating Agency again but this time it would be for herself. If they could find someone for Macy, surely they can find someone for her, right? What she hadn't expected was it to be so quick, like right away. Wow! This strange looking Ampetheia chick could really spin a yarn. Either that or Ms Ampetheia was really good at her job. Regardless, the IG DAting Agency already had a match for her and his name is Maverick. What in the heck is up with all the guys being named for cars. With her luck, she'd wind up with a lemon. Totally not going with that train of thought; she had to remain positive. This was news she needed to share with her twin. And wouldn't ya just know it, she'd stepped in a steaming pile of crap...again! How was she to know the guy she'd been matched with was in the room listening to the entire conversation with her sister and all about her boyfriend Chad. Well, boyfriend might have been stretching it since he wasn't her boyfriend and they weren't actually dating, nor had been for a very long time. She hadn't told anyone about his cheating and her kicking him to curb. She suffered through it alone just like she did with her cancer. Everyone already thought she was loser anyway; she didn't want them to know how right they were. So, she might have insinuated that she would try this Maverick guy out and just wouldn't tell Chad about her little dalliance. Oh my! Apparently, the strange hottie in the room suddenly got all hot and bother, and didn't seem to like what she was saying because he started growling and stormed out. How was she to know that he was Maverick and was friends with her sister's fiance, Hudson. Oh dear, she'd definitely stepped in it. Maybe her much smarter sister would help her out of this, right? Not! Well, she'd just put on her big girl panties and get it done herself. It wouldn't be the first time. She did it before when she had cancer; she'd just do it again. Maybe she could apologize to Maverick like Macy suggested but she'd make a plan. Surely, if he was meant to be her match, he'd understand, right? We'll see!

Maverick had never wanted to come to this horrible planet in the first place much less sign up with Ampetheia at the Intergalactic Dating Agency. Lie...total lie! He was curious when Hudson had originally presented the idea and explained how Freknals were talented at sensing connections between beings. After seeing Ampetheia's successful matches between Cutlass and Klow-ee, and Hudson and Macy, he was even more intrigued and had allowed himself to become excited at the prospect of meeting his mate. But this... this was ridiculous... completely impossible. He could never be attracted to a bossy, insensitive, rude female like Macy's twin sister, Stacy...mirror image or not! Just no! Sure his esehhnce may have already crooned for her... alright, it absolutely did croon for her...like immediately, but thank the stars no one else had heard it. So they didn't know and he'd have to keep it that way. It would be his secret to bear alone. If his Reithhar brothers found out, they'd push him to accept her, simply because they knew denying his esehhnce would be too painful. But mating an unfaithful female who chose to take another male to her bed would be worse. Nope, no matter what his esehhnce did, it was not happening! Besides, she'd be too embarrassed and would never want to go on a date with him now that he knew about her deceptive little game, right? Wrong! She totally did! Maybe it was time to show this female why it was a bad idea to toy with a Reithharian warrior. He'd show up for their weekend date, alright... and he'd make sure she hated every single second! Let the games begin! Oh my!

5 Balance Stars

I was surprised when I read the blurb for this book. We met Stacy from the previous book and she is not nice. That's all I have to say about her but this book revealed why she is the way she is. So......

Why Stacy gets on my nerves:
-She has cancer at a young age. So she decided to be mean and behave poorly since that is her excuse card. Don't get me wrong, I feel bad for her but she acted like everything revolves around her.
-She lets Chad walk all over her.
-She lets Chad abused emotionally.
-Her insecurities are insane

She was a hard heroine to like but she found her "Balance". Stacy is jealous of her twin and what did she decided to do?? Well, I can't tell you that silly lol.

Maverick, I honestly feel bad for him. He is stuck with Stacy. He studied about human life so he can handle her but got his hands full!! The only thing he can do is be by her side when she had her moment(moments I mean). Can't really do much when the enemy is herself.

Surprisingly, I enjoyed this so much more than the other two. Basically you have two stubborn grumpy people who need each other more than they expected or even want to admit.

Stacy and Maverick don’t always come off as the most likable characters. So alone they are just background characters that others may avoid but together they work. They compliment each other.
The real Stacy vs the fake one and the quiet Alien pilot gets the words he needs to keep his mate.

The downfall is that it is a short novella. Fast paced love story with a little drama thrown in for plot. It does have the story and plot to become more but it reads like a book with all the fillers taken out.
Not a bad read. I received it as an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Since I started the series, I'd been waiting for Maverick's story. Stacy, Macy's twin sister from book 2, seems like the perfect pair-up. He's arrogant; she's bitchy. He needs someone like her to take him down a peg. Unfortunately, she's too bitchy. I disliked her intensely in book 2, and it was a great handicap to overcome in book 3. She did redeem herself--somewhat. Once the reader learns how fearful she is, it's easier to sympathize with her and cut her some slack, but she's still not my favorite heroine. And this book wasn't funny like the others. Still a good read and worth the time, but I liked the first two books better.

I was looking forward to Maverick's story since the beginning of this trilogy, because the grumpiest usually fall the hardest, but I couldn't have been more disappointed if I tried.

I hated his heroine with a passion. Bossy, brash, self-centered, egotistical and bitchy Stacy couldn't have been redeemed no matter what happened. I felt a sliver of empathy somewhere around the half mark, but she ruined it all soon afterward when she couldn't have been bothered with actually sticking around and listening, preferring to wallow in self-pity.

It was always and all about her. Maverick sure deserved better.

Stacy is from earth. She had signed up her twin sister to find true love at a dating agency and it had worked. HER sister found true love now she wants it to. Being a twin Stacy is stuck with being compared to her sister and thinks her sister is so much better. even the men she has been dating are dogs thinking more of the two sisters then just her.
Now she has the chance or she hope she does if she doesn't let her own insecurities get in her way.
Maverick doesn't know what to do with the women he has been matched to. When he thinks their doing well she blows up at him for what "he thinks" no reason. He is at a loss.
Can these two get together? DID the intergalactic dating agency mess up?
Great story! Full of drama and spice. The characters are fantastic, so easy to connect to. This was really fun to read lots of drama caused by misunderstanding. SYFY fans this one is for you.
Voluntary reviewed and I honestly loved it

Maverick wasn't a fan of being on Earth nor of being matched to human mail order bride - especially as she was bossy and fake - everything he didn't want - until suddenly he wanted her. Stacy had spent a year isolated from everyone while being treated in hospital and so she refused to hide away any more. Having seen her twin sister Macy find a match she decided to find herself one too. She just needs to get past her mate's very broody ways. One cranky alien with no clue how to be romantic, one clingy female who refuses to let her dislike of her match stop her, and one slip of the tongue that set the two on a crash course in how not to fall in love. What would you do if you found out the man from your fantasies was actually the man from your science fiction?

This was a pleasant short read that will give you an escape from real life. Easy to read and understand it was possible to lose yourself. Contains explicit sexual content.

I love the writing,it flows nicely. As for characters -I didn't really root for them.Maybe it was the bad impression I got for Stacy in "Hudson" and I really didn't change my opinion about her in this story.Maverick was not my type of Man as well.I got all that "he is alien and acts differently" and it is a good thing that we got to see into what he is thinking, but, if his actions would be the only thing to go by,he appeared to be cold and uncaring.Good sex does not equal good relationship,it is just a fantastic bonuss while in this story main characters have only that.So....i am not thrilled with the story. But it is a nice, quick read nonetheless.

Stacy, Macy's twin sees how well things went for her & Hudson, decides to give the dating service a try as well. She has kind of an inferiority complex, she tries to hide. When they were teenagers Stacy almost didn't make it through a bout of cancer. She has some scars from the sickness that she finds ugly. Her sister is also studying to be a doctor, & it seems like Stacy feels a little lower self esteem around her. Stacy gets the word her match has been found & goes to find her sister to tell her. Maverick is waiting to find out who his match is, & finally she has been found. Maverick is at Cutlass & Chloe's place waiting. Hudson & Macy are there, too. Just when they are about to learn who it is, there is a knock on the door, Maverick opens it. Stacy rushes in looking for her sister tell her the news. Macy tries to tell her that they are doing something. Stacy being Stacy plows on ahead & says it will have to wait. She tells Macy, everyone standing there, about the dating service. She has a match, & is meeting him tomorrow! Macy asks about Chad, a guy Stacy was dating. Stacy said if thing didn't work out with the new guy she'd keep things with Chad, the new guy didn't need to know. Chloe was thinking about what the lady at the dating service said about mirror images with matches between Hudson & Maverick. She was hoping she was wrong but didn't think so. Stacy said yeah, his name is Maverick. He leaves with the door slamming behind him. She is wondering what his problem is, & finds out that he was her match. Macy tells her she better break it off with Chad & apologize to Maverick. What Macy doesn't know is that Chad is only a sort of stand in when Stacy gets really lonely. Stacy is told by Hudson she has to fix this herself. Stacy lets the agency know she will be there for the date. She lets Chad know it's done. She gets her things to the room for the date & ends up waiting for Maverick about an hour. He figures he will make her sorry she came. She decides to educate him on how to act on a date for the next girl who comes along. They go to dinner, she keeps telling him what he should & shouldn't do. Making him crazy, she picks a seafood place. He eats a burger, she orders crab. She says they could have picked somewhere else. He told her she picked it. He wasn't going to eat insects, she gets into an argument with him about crab not being insects. He tells her to keep telling herself that. She goes to the restroom. She comes back, figuring she will never eat her favorite food ever again. They head back to the hotel, & talk a little on the way. He sees there is more to her than what he first saw. She is learning interesting things about him as well. Back in the room they really get to learn more about each other. The next morning, she shows him her back, where the worst scars are & explains what happened. They do not bother him. He sees now that the brashness she shows sometimes is a mask she uses to go out into the world among people. He tells her about his being an alien. She asks if Hudson is & did Macy know? He tells her yes. So she says ok & that stalls him for a minute. He was expecting trouble like the other guys had. Stacy tells him, her sister is pretty smart, if Macy's ok with it, she could be too. When it is time to go, both would rather stay together. She goes to work & one of her friends asks her what was happening. She tells her about her new almost husband. She asks her if he has met Macy? Stacy says yes, she's with his friend. The other woman makes a comment about Macy being so smart, he might like her. I would hope no friend of mine ever said anything like that to me. It gets Stacy to seeing herself in a lower visual of herself more & more. Maverick keeps trying to get back to the Stacy he discovered at the hotel, but she keeps hiding deeper inside the Stacy mask. During the time Chad calls to make a nasty comment about the same as what was said at the office. He says that both men probably want to have both of them, or trade back & forth. He tells her to give him a call. She heads to her sister's & comes up to an open door to hear Maverick & Hudson arguing. Maverick wants what Hudson has, it is the same only better. Maverick's says his is broken. With everything that has been weighing on her mind for the last week & what Chad just said to her. It stabs her heart! She runs in to tell him she is not broken! She runs back out again slamming the door in his face as he tries to stop her to understand what just happened. What Stacy doesn't know is that they were arguing over drills. For three days at home, ice cream & vodka, she looks at different cities to move to. Macy tells the Maverick if he doesn't talk to her, she will. He thinks she should be the one to call since she left. Stacy turns her phone on, & finds texts from Macy & Chloe telling her what they were talking about & asking if she is ok? She text an answer to Chad. She calls Macy to talk to her & hears Maverick is on his way there. She goes to answer the knock on her door & it's Chad, she tells him to go away. Maverick arrives just in time to see Stacy open the door to Chad, feeling like his world is about to collapse he hears her tell him to go away. She gives him a shove, Chad says she doesn't mean it. Maverick walks up gives him another shove & tells him she does, walks in & closes the door. They get to talking & she apologizes, they agree she will be his mate. I love how sci-fi things come out. I know there are only 3, I hope someday there will be some more. I had fun reading them.

This book was just as fun as the other two in the series. I listened to the audiobook for this one, and it was such a fun one to listen to. The narrator helped to draw me right back into the storyline from book two and all of the characters we have met so far. The author did a great job in making the FMC in this book have a tragic backstory that she has overcome. But it has left marks on her both physically and emotionally. It was a good read for seeing how she allowed her past to make her question her present and future.

Isn’t it something when you start a book with annoying characters you do not think you will ever care about and somehow the author wins you over? I could not stand Stacy in book 2 (Hudson). I would yell at the main character telling her to ignore Stacy, to shut Stacy down. I could not imagine carrying about this chick.
But here we are. Me and Stacy. I get her. I understand her. I am rooting for her.
Maverick… I knew I would like him. I love big grumpy hero’s.

At the end of Hudson’s story, I wasn’t too happy with Miss Stacy, but I tried to clear the negative clutter from my mind so I could enjoy this read, and watch the last two of the group get their HEA.

Both Maverick and Stacy harbor inner pain they’re afraid to let anyone see. He, because of the loss of his world and everything he knew. She, because of the loss of control of her own life caused by the devastation of illness and subsequent recovery. Grumpiness, sarcasm and caustic remarks are their shields. Sometimes, it’s understandable. Sometimes, it’s just entirely too mean-spirited.

When Stacy sets out to fix the mess she’s created before even actually “meeting” Maverick, she pushed my buttons. It was more like some reality show challenge quest she had to win. Meh. All she had to do was find the man and talk it out, but she instead found fault with him misunderstanding her remark and storming out. In Maverick’s defense, how was he to know her careless offhand remark was a covering lie? He didn’t even KNOW her. She bounded into the apartment talking a mile a minute, not giving anyone else a chance to complete a sentence. Double Meh.

Still trying to see Stacy in a positive light though. Just when I thought she’d won me over with the easy acceptance of Maverick’s origins, and admitting her own fears, Stacy lets me down by allowing the insipid remarks of a gossipy co-worker, and a cheating, lying ex-boyfriend to mess with her self-esteem. How? WHY? This opens a whole new can of ready-made drama and Stacy gets to sabotage the relationship while swan diving into a big old vat of self-pity (and perhaps a bit of self-loathing?) Had she always felt second best to the sister who put her first and would do anything for her? Misunderstanding a conversation between Hudson and Maverick leads Stacy to create a scene, then storm off. (Um, wait a sec. What did she accuse Maverick of doing?) Ten seconds of allowing anyone else to complete a sentence would have resolved the “problem.”

Much like with Cutlass and Chloe, I’m glad Maverick got the ending he wanted. For me, Stacy is an afterthought. She acted more like a twin to Chloe than to Macy, more consumed with Maverick’s appearance and sex with him than anything else. (Romance waves from the bench. “Put me in, coach!”)

I have never had a problem reading anything by this author, but this one brought me far too close to the DNF zone. Stacy turned off my sympathy from the beginning, and was wearing my empathy down fast. I needed her to pick a personality and stay with it. Hopefully, one I could tolerate. Contrary to popular trends, “sassy” and “feisty” are not always positive things, but Maverick was happy, and that was enough for me.

Two Peas In A Pod!!!

Stacy signed up for the dating service at the IG Dating Agency after seeing how successful her sister, Macy ( HUDSON ) had been in finding a life partner through the agency. Despite kind of having someone in her life, Stacy was looking for a more fulfilling relationship.

The woman was a storm but she was also very sensitive, funny and oh so fierce. Stacy and Macy had the twin bond that you hear people talk about. They were that close even when Macy found Hudson.

Stacy's match through the agency was none other than Maverick, Cutlass and Hudson's companion/brother from Xouthhgros. Stacy made a mistake, one that she had to fix on her own.

Maverick had been waiting for his potential mate for a long time so when he found out that it was Macy's twin, he was shocked and furious especially after he overheard Stacy's conversation with Macy. He was livid when he heard she was seeing someone.

He was about to cancel the whole dating service thing but after a call from Ampetheia, a plan formed in Maverick's mind. He was about to give Stacy a date she would never forget.

Stacy and Maverick were butting heads like crazy...they liked to push each other's buttons to see how far they were willing to take things. Those two were very stubborn.

There was more to Stacy than beneath the eyes, same could be said about Maverick despite the initial hurt he felt when he thought she was with someone else. Maverick couldn't help but fall in love with Stacy and vice versa.

No matter how in love with they were, Stacy was still insecure, she thought things between were falling apart. And she unconsciously pulled away from Maverick.

MAVERICK is the final book in Ellis Leigh's MOTOR CITY ALIEN MAIL ORDER BRIDES series. The book was magnificent. To see how Stacy was able to win Maverick's heart was done beautifully.

Ellis Leigh once again did a fascinating job. So sad to say goodbye to this series but it has been an interesting ride.

So now that Stacy knows the man she spoke so poorly of her choices in front of none other than her matched mate, she needs to figure out how to get him to give her a chance. Smart cookie that she is, she figures out the match was made by intuition and not the dating profile and letter, so threatening Ampetheia (the dating agency lady) is her go to choice in getting Maverick to show up for their weekend date.

Once she’s there, she does all she can to set up the perfect seduction scenario, but there’s one thing missing. Maverick. Just when she’s about to fold, the door opens.

Maverick is reluctant to pursue this match with Stacy, but is willing to go along with Ampetheia’s request that he shows up to his date. He did feel a pull to Stacy when she showed up at Hudson’s place that night. Until she opened her mouth, that is. He can’t turn off his yearning for her, though. Especially when she’s around him. That’s when she’s his Stacy. No mask, no pretend and so much joy and warmth – he’s basking in her.

I have to say, Stacy didn’t really have a lasting impression on me, but somewhere along the way reading this story, I figured her out. She’s not really sure what she wants from herself, or from life. She realizes something’s missing, but pinpointing exactly what it is – not so easy. She does realize Maverick is the missing piece very quickly, though.

Their whirlwind weekend date goes very well, and Stacy is walking on clouds. Right up until Chad, her on again/off again booty-call gets to her and fills her head with nastiness. That’s when she starts changing back to the old Stacy and Maverick notices.

However, being an alien, he doesn’t really understands what the problem is. He doesn’t get she needs reassurances in words, not just in actions. In our life, normally that would be reverse, right? Not always, as it turns out.

While there are aliens and humans in this story, and it’s set in this futuristic parallel world to ours, it’s very real in its emotions, actions and conflicts. Also, there’s a hamburger loving Maverick – which I adore.

There are heated arguments and drama, very heated sexy times, sweet moments and basically everything a romance needs.

I loved it.

I really did wonder how Ms Leigh was going to salvage Stacy.
Stacy did little to impress me in the last book, I thought even less of her in this one.
She is immature, absolutely selfish and neurotic in her behaviour. Is Stacy jealous of her smart, clever twin sister Macy, absolutely. But there has been nothing to stop Stacy from pursuing her own dreams except Stacy.
Whilst my heart was sorry for her having had cancer when she was young, cancer does not give her rights of impunity in being mean and the fact she allowed a douche like Chad to bring her down was a weakness in herself. Chad was definitely not a friend, not a support, he was a user and abused Stacy emotionally.
Stacy was not an easy character to like but she really was just full of self-doubt that had been fed by Chad due to her cancer scars. I feel she had never gotten strong emotionally after her year in hospital, due to the parents keeping Macy away and not taking the twin bond into account.
I am hoping that some honest real attention and love will help Stacy find her balance in life. We did not have enough time in the book to see this occur.
Poor Maverick, he was so lonely and he had studied about human life so hard so as to be a good mate. He had no idea how to deal with an unstable human female who is her own worst enemy.
I felt so sorry for him with his lack of knowledge about crazy females, he just wanted his mate to be like Chloe and Macy and be there for him. He raced to Stacy’s side when she stopped acting like a toddler having a tantrum.
I just wish Stacy had really apologised to Maverick, he deserved a bit of grovelling from her.
It all came good in the end but it really was the end of the book before we had some semblance of adult behaviour. I think Ms Ellis did well.
This is my honest review of this book.

Woohoo this lady locks you in and doesn't let you loose till the end, even than you still feel as if your still there in the world of the Motor City Alien Mail Order Brides. Ms. Ellis really hit on the emotions of twins. All I can say is I want one Alien just like these hunks.
Stacy and Macy are identical twins, but completely opposite of each other. Stacy is the type of person who never thinks before she acts. Her year stay in the hospital has made her insecure, even worse was her long lasting on again, off again with Chad who has poisoned her mind of what men want when twins are concerned. These all added up to her stiff relationship with Macy who she loves dearly always needing to hear her voice, plus other men. Even when the Intergalactic Dating Agency sets her up with the perfect match.
Maverick finally had a match, he just couldn't wait until she opened her bossy mouth not knowing who he was and spouted things she was doing with him plus other men. Oh yeah he was going to show her or was she showing him?
A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

Maverick starts out where Hudson left off. Maverick had been matched up with Macy's twin sister Stacy. Stacy announced to her sister in front of the group that she has been matched but she is going to keep Chad on the side just in case it does not work with her match, Maverick. After Stacy's little announcement, Maverick storms out of the room, slamming the door behind him. Macy not happy with Stacy informs her that her match, Maverick, just stormed off.

Can Maverick and Stacy overcome the miscommunication and insecurities?

This is the third book of Ms. Leigh on the intergalactic dating agency. She does an amazing job of drawing you into the story line, making you fall for the characters and not wanting to put the book down. I loved these story lines as much as her feral breed series!

I'm speechless with Stacy and Maverick. They really brought their A game on their dates. Stacy has baggage that has baggage. But at the heart of it, she's wounded and just doesn't want anyone to hurt her. Maverick was a very proud man that didn't know he was even supposed to voice his feelings. My heart clenched at parts of the story for these two.

While it is a stand alone, reading the previous does help give a totally different aspect on the face that Stacy presents to everyone and the dynamic with her sister.

Meet Ms bossy and HOT hunky alien.

Stacy and Maverick. I wasn't even sure this was going to work. Stacy acted like the biggest brat I've ever seen. She was bossy, had to have it her way at all times. Even with the bossiness I had to laugh at how Maverick interpreted the words coming from her mouth. I can't wait to read the next book in the intergalactic dating agency. If you enjoy reading paranormal romance, you'll definitely want to read these books. Just imagine 7 authors and 20 some odd books. I can't wait.

I wasn't in love with Stacy, but Maverick is a total sweetie! Stacy's doubts and insecurities get old. I can understand them, but come on. Live in the now. Maverick was so in over his head with Stacy from the get-go, but he held strong like a good warrior would. I believe the result was worth it. This was salvaged by Stacy coming to realize what she had in front of her, with both her twin and her mate. I do love the language confusion. It is so entertaining.

I love this series it's so cute!
Stacy joined IG Dating Service after she saw the good luck her sister had and was matched with Maverick a friend of her sister's match. Stacy and Maverick's first time meeting didn't end well but they still decided to meet official anyway.
After a crazy misunderstanding they patch things up and get back together only to have more problems!
Is there a happily ever after for these two?

Maverick

Well they're at it again. All the fun stuff Aliens have to learn about human women. But that also means that the women have to learn about the Aliens too. Being bossy, stubborn and obnoxious can lose you a good man. There's a little give and take in all relationships and each of these individuals are learning the funny hard way. Just got to love this author and the way she works them through finding each other.

This book was the conclusion of Motor City Alien Mail Order Brides and I have really enjoyed reading about all three of them and how they met their mates. This book picks up after book 2 ends is about Maverick and Stacy. Their relationship was interesting to watch unfold and I enjoyed the peeks into how the couples from the previous two books were doing. I look forward to reading more books from the Intergalactic Dating Agency Series.

Maverick: Motor City Alien Mail Order Brides #3 (Intergalactic Dating Agency)
by Ellis Leigh

Just goes to show you that you have to be careful of what you say in front of others.

Misunderstandings can be hard to straighten out sometimes, but sometimes soooo worth it.

Stacy and Maverick start off on the wrong foot. She was clumsy with her words which confused him to no end. Their attraction to each other was immediate but they were both stubborn. They grew on each other, and me, as the story continued. Very well written. Another great story from Ellis Leigh.

Oh, man... that didn't go so well, Stacy - saying another guy's name in front of your match. Well you didn't know he's standing right behind you. Oh well.
But seriously, what happended to communication these days. Is no one talking to each other any more? Not everyone is a mind-reader ;)
