From the bestselling author of Devil’s Honor and Devil’s Mark, this seductive novel of the Louisiana bayou kicks into high gear as a dangerously sexy biker takes a no-nonsense teacher on the ultimate thrill ride.

Lara Ashburn hates bikers. She watched a motorcycle club destroy her hometown, bringing her brother down with it. That’s a life she put far in her rearview. So the last person she wants to see walking into her classroom is the top enforcer of the Devil’s Keepers. Big, mean, and gorgeous, all tattoos and leather, Chaser is everything Lara should avoid. Yet the insane chemistry sparking between them tempts her to break all the rules.

Ryan “Chaser” Frey has his hands full with a teen daughter in need of tough love, and he doesn’t have time for prissy teachers who want to tell him how to raise his kid. But Chaser never could resist a chick who gives as good as she gets. Lara is sexy as hell, and she’s not afraid of him. Plus, her links to a California club could provide the Devils with leverage against their enemies. But that would mean mixing business with pleasure—and risking the one woman Chaser can’t afford to lose.

"Prim on the outside and a dirty little biker chick inside. A screaming hot wet dream in the flesh."

Devil's Own is the third book in The Devil's Keepers. Dwelling in the bayou of Louisiana, the Devil's Keepers ride hard and live rough. Although this is the third book in the series, it can certainly be read and enjoyed completely as a stand-alone. I am quite fond of the entire Devils crew, so I highly recommend reading the entire series.

"For the first time in his life, he wasn't sure he could control himself."
Lara Ashburn is a new high school teacher who is passionate about her students. She is on a mission to save the youth of her town and keep them safe from the biker lifestyle. When she takes a special interest in one of her students and demands a parent-teacher conference, her mission is instantly put in jeopardy.

description
"You're mine. I feel sorry for you, I really do."
Ryan Frey aka "Chaser" is not afraid of anything or anyone. As a single parent and an enforcer, he has sacrificed everything to keep his club and his daughter safe. When he meets the new hot shot teacher Ms. Ashburn, he decides that it is prime time for her to be schooled in what it means to meddle with a biker. Unbeknownst to Ryan, Lara is quite familiar with the biker culture, and although she is determined to stay away from the connection she feels to Chaser explodes like a firework and once their lips touch it is GAME ON! Lara and Chaser share a passionate connection that keeps them coming back for more. But when the demons of Lara's past collide with Chaser's present, their budding romance is put in the line of fire.

description

Told in dual POV, Devil's Own is an action packed forbidden romance set in the deadly world of an MC! The characters are complex, and their love and loyalty to each other solidify their relationships and make each twist and turn a ride that you will not forget. I especially enjoyed the dynamics between Lara and Chaser. The writing style is decadent due to the author's precision and attention to every detail. With each book in this series, I become more invested in these bad boys and their women.

Overall, I highly recommend Devil's Own and the entire Devil's Keepers Series to all MC Romance Fans! With the tension rising in the club, no doubt some explosive action is in the works. My Kindle and I are ready and waiting for more Devil goodness to come our way.

I'm not your typical MC fan. I prefer a more "safe" read and you don't typically relate a biker book to safe. There are some out there, so I'm always trying out new authors to find them.

I know everyone's version of safe varies but my main requirement is no cheating. I know there are a lot of groupies in MC books and I need a H that isn't going to dabble on the side. What draws me to want to find a safe-ish biker book is that I'm a fan of the dominant alpha's in my reads and you're pretty much guaranteed to find one in a biker.

I'm happy to report there is no cheating in this book. You do see the wilder side of the MC's and the groupies but Chaser, our H, does not touch anyone since meeting Lara. I can't say the same for Lara, however, she already had a date scheduled when she meets Chaser. She still goes on the date since Chaser and her encounter wasn't exactly sunshine and roses but she does not continue to see the other man after the first date.

I actually really enjoyed this book. It was maturely written and I loved the way these two met. Not only do I like a strong alpha in my books but I also like a strong heroine and you get that with Lara. Their first meet had them verbally sparring which made me excited to see where the author was going to take the story.

I do wish Lara held out more with Chaser and made him work for her more, especially after that explosive sparring they did. I enjoy the chase the man has to do with a stronger heroine so I expected it more in this one. Even though she caved too soon for my tastes, I still felt she was a strong character. I will definitely read more from this author. ARC provided by Netgalley.

Very predictable and nothing interesting happening. Just look and are already having sex anywhere. History confused and without depth.
Pussy is a blur. There’s just so much of it, who can keep track?”

"a group of seemingly unemployed adult men who like to hang around aimlessly in a secret clubhouse when they’re not prancing about in public wearing their little sew-on patches like Boy Scout merit badges.”

Like this woman beneath him was something a little better than an everyday fuck.

But he wasn’t a possessive man. He liked all kinds of pussy, he wasn’t picky, and he didn’t care if the bitch in question had been passed around the entire club before he got inside her.

he usually drop-kicked pussy straight out the door when he was done.

Lara Ashburn left her MC family and hometown behind after her brother lost his freedom, determined to have a better life than what she had. She got a college degree and settled into a teaching job at the high school in Lagrange, Louisiana, home of the Devil’s Keepers MC, with the lofty ambition of making sure that the female students at the high school got a chance to achieve the kind of success she had. But all it takes is one encounter with the enforcer for the Devil's Keepers MC and the side of her that she thought she had overcome rose to the surface.

Ryan “Chaser” Frey has no time for some uptight teacher is pearls and heels to lecture him on how to raise his teenage daughter, but he can't resist a woman who can give as good as she gets and when he discovers that underneath that schoolmarm garb is a firecracker, oh well, all bets are off. Plus her connections in the MC world are exactly what the Devil’s Keepers need to expand their influence against a rival MC. But is he willing to sacrifice Lara for the good of the brotherhood? Especially after he's had a taste of her and wants her for himself?

Holy cow! This is the best of the series so far. I wouldn't mind it if Ms. Crane just kept this series going because I really haven't enjoyed an MC romance as much as I did this one! I have lots of highlights and book marks that I keep going back to and I can't get enough. The passion between Chaser and Lara was hot enough to melt steel and there were a lot of scorching hot scenes, but the one thing that made the biggest impression on me was the fact that for all his scary bad guy vibe, Chaser respected strong women who could go toe to toe with him, and his interactions with his crazy sister, his hell-raiser daughter and Lara were three solid examples.

Chaser's scary reputation is well-earned, he's an outlaw who enjoys his renegade lifestyle, but the two things he values the most are family and loyalty. He loves his daughter and would move heaven and earth for her and he would go to any lengths for his brothers. With Lara in the picture, he now has one more person to add to that list. From their very first explosive encounter in her classroom and every time after that, Lara is invading his life in every way and he finds himself confiding his deepest secrets in her, binding her to him both physically and emotionally.

Lara may have wanted an upscale lifestyle, but the biker life is all she knows and yearns for, even with its drawbacks and she knows deep down that the lifestyle wasn't her problem, her family was. With Chase in her life and watching her back, she's confident enough to explore every part of herself, even the parts she hid away and find a way to merge both sides into the life she wants, so pearls and heels 0n the outside and biker babe on the inside.

Within the club, the bonds of the brotherhood are about to be tested and brothers will have to choose sides in the fight for the soul of the club. I really enjoyed seeing that mystery come together over the three books and I can't wait for the next book in the series to find out what happens next. Besides, between the good boy sheriff and the stripper, Ms. Crane has dropped a few crumbs to make me hope that the next book in this series would be theirs.

Devil's Own is the third book in the Devil's Keepers MC series by Megan Crane. I continue to enjoy the series more and more as each book progressed.

Ryan "Chaser" Frey. The tatted, sexy, and scary enforcer of the Devil's Keeper MC. He was ruthless and not one to insult. Yet with Lara he was protective, territorial and even sweet, for an alpha Biker.

Lara Ashburn. Smart, sassy, feisty, confident, beautiful, and independent. She was born and raised in an MC club that she hated with every fiber of her being. She left them at her first opportunity. She hated the Biker life and wanted nothing to do with bikers again.

Devil's Own was told in a dual POV. I loved hearing Chaser's voice first to set the stage of what we could expect. Lara was Chaser's sixteen year old daughter Kaylee's high school teacher. Kaylee was acting out and on the verge of suspension. In an attempt to help Kaylee, Lara summoned Chaser to a parent teacher conference. A fireworks show ensued between the two snarky adults and the drama began.

I loved Chaser and Lara. Together they just clicked. They each had their baggage, but they were two halves of a puzzle that only fit each other. I felt their connection strengthen as the story progressed.

The underlying MC plot that started in book one continued in the Devil's Own to provide suspense, action, intrigue and additional depth to the overall storyline. Each book built into the big picture continuing to add a piece of the puzzle as the series progressed. The MC drama is about about to explode. I can't wait to see which brother is now on the horizon and what direction Crane will take us next.

2.82 stars for lack of uniqueness

While I thoroughly enjoyed the start of this series, this one just didn't work as well for me. I liked once again being part of the world the author built, but the overall story wasn't unique. I felt that I read this book before which was very disappointing. While every story cannot be completely unique, I seriously kept thinking, "I've read this before.. I know I have". Of course there were some aspects that were new, but none of it worked enough for me.

Disappointing... but on to the next!

My Thoughts:
This is the first time I have read this author and although I liked the story, I didn’t love it and I will explain why. I just want to say that we all read the same book differently and we all have our own interpretation. This is the third book in this series and although I got through the book just fine, there are inner workings of the club that I may have missed out on not reading the two previous books.

I love a good MC novel, but this one just didn’t do it for me. There was just too much inner dialog in both POV and it just seemed too wordy, for a lack of a better word. There was a lot of sex and don’t get me wrong, I love my sexy times as much as the next person, but this just seemed a little OTT since they met at a parent teacher conference to discuss his 16-year-old daughter and after some banter, they are having sex against the chalk board. The next item is there are characters that are introduced, i.e. the sheriff that Lara has a date with just after she meets Chaser and then he’s just out of the picture. No scene to have Lara explain she can’t see him anymore. Also, a stripper laying claim to the sheriff and then not mentioned again. Just some unconnected islands for me.

By all means, if you have been reading the series or what to give it a try, this is just my opinion and like I mentioned earlier, we all read the same book differently and have our own interpretation.

Of course there are spoilers 😂

Chaser meets Lara as she calls him in to discuss his teenage daughter's drunkenness and rebellious behavior in school.Chaser as the badass biker he is is rude and crude to his daughter's teacher and with sexual tension humming in the background the two have a rip roaring argument that leads to hot sex in the classroom. Lara having grown up in an mc and hating the lifestyle regrets it and in her bid to get out from the drug of liking bad boys (this is mentioned but details of her previous lifestyle are not really explained)goes on a date with the town sheriff. Chaser sees her at the end of the date kissing the Sheriff, loses his cool and they again have hot sex.
What follows is Chaser selling out Lara's past affiliation with her old mc to his president,as she's called in he claims her to keep her safe from Digger.
She meets his daughter, helps him and her by finding the cause of her teenage angst is her mother's reappearance in her life and helps Chaser to get closure with his junkie ex and not kill her.(side note here -Chaser's ex was a woman he shared with many mc brothers yet she came up pregnant for him and he said it's because she lied about going on birth control. I'm taking that to mean his condom failed rather than let my mind go to the idea that he had unprotected sex with a woman that was passed around multiple times because ewwwwwwww)
I liked Lara( mostly, I could've done without her acting like a voyeur though) as she stood up for herself and didn't back down from Chaser. We get a bit more closure on the underlying drama in the mc and Lara and Chaser get together as biker and old lady.
We've seen the other guys in the mc throughout these books indulging in typical mc behavior by being all up in pu**y but when these guys find their h they're loyal(thank you sweet baby Jesus) Unfortunately there are no more books in the series at this time but I sincerely hope this author plans to continue this series with the guys who are siding with Roscoe to clean up their mc.All in all I'm taking this one as a win and will eagerly await more of this series. *fingers crossed*

If you like MC books you should like this one. It heavy on the sex, light on the violence, has some humor, and of course loyalty.

When Chaser has to deal with calls from the school about his daughter he never envisioned what was about to happen or what he would be told. But Ms. Asburn has all but burned his ears off with her reaction to his presence and the first few seconds of that encounter..

Lara Asburn is working as a teacher with the hopes of helping club kids stay out of the club life and when she meets Kaylee's dad, Chaser, his attitude makes her blood boil and he is everything she is trying to save the girls from. But he's one parent that gives as good as he gets

Will this pair tear each other apart before they help Kaylee or will they work together?

I absolutely love Megan Crane's novels. Whether I'm reading one of her Dystopian/Viking romances or an MC series, I can't help but get lost in the sexy times and connection between her hero and heroines. Gahh! I thought Devil's Own was fantastic. Lara was sexy and sassy and the perfect match to the dark and brooding alpha growly biker. I honestly loved them together!

Devil's Own is a standalone novel but is best enjoyed in conjunction with the other Devil's Keepers books. What happens when the big and bad Chaser finally meets his match in a prim and proper school teacher who knows her way around a bike and the club life. Can they make it work or will their respective pasts come back and kill any chances they have of being together?

I REALLY liked this book. I loved the storyline and their chemistry and their connection. My only drawback from this book was the tremendous amount of inner monologue. I wanted to see MORE snappy banter and sass and interaction. At times I almost wanted to skim the pages and pages of inner monologue and thoughts just to see them interact out loud. It was frustrating at times. All in all, this was a great book and I hope we get more from this author in this series.

I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. Bravo! 4 stars! ~Ratula

**I received a copy of Devil's Own from Random House and Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review**

Devil's Own by Megan Crane is the third book in Devil's Keepers MC series by the author. Having read the previous two books I'd highly recommend reading the previous book in order as the plot is a continuation of Devil's Mark. I'd rate the book at 4.7 stars out of 5 stars.

Ryan "Chaser" Frey has returned back to Lagrange, LA after spending most of the summer up with the mother charter. But after seven messages left on his phone from his daughter's teacher, Lara, he needs to go to the school and find out what is wrong. But when he walks into her room he finds that Kaylee has been coming to school drunk. While he knows that kids do this regularly, Chaser vows to find out why. However, Lara is not only attractive but they have sex in the classroom. Even though I'm open minded this one scene was a bit too soon into the story. This is my opinion only not anyone else, but other than that I really liked the book. The DKMC is heading into a showdown with Black Dog MC, a missing president and now Chaser knows that Lara is well aware of the workings of a MC because of her Uncle.

Lara Ashburn loves her job as a teacher but most of all Lagrange is close to where her brother is in prison. What she doesn't expect is how much Chaser loves his daughter and how loyal he is as the enforcer of the Devil's Keeper MC. But with her ties to her uncle's MC there could be problems when the chapters president rolls back in town, there is also something that Kaylee isn't telling her dad plus she knows that even though she wanted away from the drama of a MC there is no way she can fight the attraction and sparks that she and Ryan have together. But when things get very heated can she stand by Ryan and the DKMC when they find out that there is a fight looming on the horizon that could get very ugly. I can't wait for the next book and hope that its Roscoe's story but I know its going to be big because all three books are leading up to the explosive conclusion.

This was my third trip back to south Louisiana, Cajun country, for another story about the hot, alpha men who make up The Devil's Keepers MC. This story took a different approach to the good girl school teacher and the bad boy biker. Lara is the new school teacher for Chaser's teenage daughter who is slowly going off the track and acting out in dangerous ways. Lara is dedicated to saving young girls raised in an MC who might not have the support they should. After all, Lara has secrets from her own past even though Chaser thinks she's a snotty, upper class, opinionated bitch. That is at first. But then the sparks fly and even though Chaser and Lara try to fight the mutual attraction between them, fate intervenes. Chaser is one of the most dominant alpha males and he's bound and determined that he needs no help raising his only child. That child is the only person he has ever really loved and she's his heart even though he comes across as hard and unfeeling.

This one is packed with suspense, a feisty heroine, one hot as sin alpha male who is possessive, angst with trying to keep a daughter on the right track and of course action in the MC world. The story moves at a fast pace but it flows well and kept me glued to the pages. The characters were three dimensional and I connected with all of them. I would have liked an epilogue but the book ended in the right spot. It's definitely a standalone and one of my favorites of the series. I can't wait for T. Roscoe's story and hope it's out soon. I highly recommend this book and this whole series.

Lara Ashburn knows more than she cares to reveal about bikers. She has built herself a new life as a teacher in the town of Lagrange in Louisiana. She is relentless in trying to keep her students safe and thriving but one of her students is on the verge of being expelled. She seeks out Ryan "Chaser" Frey about his daughter.

Chaser is the enforcer for the Devil's Keepers MC, he doesn't have time for some uptight teacher who seems to have his phone on speed dial. When Chaser meets Lara though, he is attracted to the mouthy woman who has no problem going toe to toe with him. Attraction is instant and Chaser can't get enough of Lara. He never wanted a woman by his side but the more time he spends with Lara, the more he doesn't want to let her go. There is more to Lara then she wants to reveal and with his club in the middle of looming chaos, Chaser has to decide if he should let Lara go.

I liked this one, the MC is a bit darker then I am used to but really enjoyed the chemistry between Chaser and Lara. I need to go back and read the other books in the series to figure out the other characters. Very entertaining.

I loved this one and I thinks it's the best of the series so far. Megan Crane has built a fantastic world deep in the Louisiana Bayou where the Devil's Keepers rule yet strong women can bring these men to their knees. This is the third book in the series but each of these can be read standalone although there is a thread of the story that goes through each book. The author does of good job of catching you up on that plot line in each book.

Chaser Frey has his hands full with the MC. Something isn't right but he can't quite figure it out. Add to that a teenage daughter that is giving him fits and a teacher who is blowing up his phone wanting to talk about his daughter. Lara Ashburn knows all about bikers and the life. After all she spent the first 18 years of her life with bikers all around her. She got away from that life so being sucked back into by Chaser Frey isn't going to happen. Until it does....

I highly recommend this one.

The third book in Crane’s The Devil’s Keeper series is another opposites attract romance with a splash of sexually fueled antagonism. Not everyone dreams of being someone’s old lady, especially one woman whose own experiences with MCs have made them enemy #1 in her world. But when the only man to rev her engine is the enforcer for the local MC, well, it’s always better with the devil you know. Lightly erotic with a nice balance between the romance and the main storyline, this is probably my favorite of the series so far. The heroine is the star of the story.

Received an ARC for my fair review for netgalley. T his story was not for me, I get that others loved it, but I didn't, and I do love some biker stories, now one of the things dad I did appreciate was that there wasn't cheating. Ok So we have Lara, a teacher, who hated bikers, due to her history with them, she grew up surrounded by them. She meets Chaser, who is one of her students father, and they go head to head. Chaser does not want to deal with an up tight teacher, boy was he wrong. So 15 minutes in, and they are having sex- way to hold out Lara, what happened to your views that bikers woman were either "old lady" or whores" And then Chaser, I get he is supposed to love his daughter, but then he constantly leaves her to his nut case sister, to go have sex, or club business, what is up with that. Any who.. that will be all

Personally, this book wasn't for me. I gave it a three, because it was ok, but it wasn't my typical type of read.

Regardless, here are some thoughts that I hope you can use to help make a decision.

1.) If you're going to read this, don't consider it a standalone. There is more going on than this book can account for. I felt unprepared, because I hadn't read the previous books and those obviously set up the on-going plot of this series.
2.) The characters are interesting and I enjoy the alternative points of view. The amount of characters in this series is amazing and will allow for a long run.
3.) Lots of language and graphic scenes.
4.) Definitely not a slow burn romance. They dive right in....literally.
5.) Not bad for a down and dirty read, but substance...not so much.

I'm hit or miss with MC books but I'm a fan of Megan Crane and her characters plus I enjoyed the earlier books in this series. Although I did enjoy this one there were some issues that I think if addressed better would have made this a 4 or 5 star read.

My biggest issue was with Lara. She grew up in a biker club and had some very legitimate issues with the biker lifestyle. She had some bad experiences with the club she was born into and abandoned by. She felt that the Club/brothers always came first above any women or family and that women can only be old ladies or club whores and very few end up as old ladies. She spends a lot of the book referring to her lust/need for Chaser as an addiction and yet she never really tries to fight the attraction. In fact she ends up having sex with Chaser within 15 minutes of a parent/teacher conference. Even if we assume that she just got carried away it basically continues to happen again and yet she never really comes to a resolution with her issues. In fact, she really doesn't act like an Old Lady but more like a club whore (although she isn't with anyone other than Chaser) they really don't have a relationship outside of lots of hot sex. I really loved the opening scenes where she didn't back down from Chaser and the verbal sparring was excellent. So I REALLY wish she would have held out longer and developed more of a relationship with Chaser before it became all about sex.

While I liked Chaser I can't help but think that the whole question of can you be an outlaw biker and still a good father wasn't answered in a really positive way. It was obvious that Chaser loved his daughter and would protect her with all he had but he certainly wasn't paying enough attention to her. The fact that he left her with his psycho sister for weeks at a time and then spent more time having sex with Lara when he knew his daughter was having issues didn't highlight great parenting skills.

This book had a lot of potential and if there was more relationship building to go along with the sex I would have liked it a lot more. Instead, we got a ton of sex and instant love which just wasn't believable. I'm still not sure what it was about Lara that Chaser fell so hard for other than the first scene where she really stood up to him for his daughter's well being. I would have loved if Chaser and Lara worked together to help his daughter and figure out what was going on to enhance all the sex.

I was also curious as to the overall plot with what Digger was up to within the club and towards the very end we did get some movement/answers on that issue but it didn't seem to be a very complex plot point. I hope there is more to it in the next book. So while there were some disappointing aspects of this book I still enjoyed it and if you want some hot sex scenes Megan Crane always delivers.

A copy of this book was provided to me by NetGalley and the publisher with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

Lara had enough of the wild biker days. She is pushing on with her new life in Lagrange. She didn’t expect her old desires to resurface once she meets one of her student’s fathers. Chaser is not pleased to have to go meet with Lara but after their one on one session, he is sure she is not the poised teacher she pretends to be.

This might be the best in the series so far. There is something about Lara and Chaser that just got to me. I liked that there is this crazy, unexplainable attraction to them that neither of them wants. They are both no-nonsense kind of people and their initial meeting with them is intense.

Lara is this prissy, wannabe proper woman who comes from a badass biker family. She wants to escape her past so bad but she is so drawn to Chaser and he represents her past in flashing neon letters. What I really liked about her is that once she gave into the relationship, she didn’t hold back. She lets go and stands by Chaser in a tough situation and trust him completely.

There are two reasons why I couldn’t bring myself to give this review 5 stars. One, the insta-love throws me in this story. The author is so amazingly descriptive in her writing. I feel as though I am in the hot swamp with the characters but she doesn’t devote as much time to the romance. The characters have literally known each other for a week and they are riding off into the sunset. They don’t have any real time to know each other. It makes it so hard to buy into the romance because I don’t know if they even know each other outside of the bedroom. The chemistry is so explosive that you now it makes for a great start.

The second reason is that I need to know what the President of the Club is doing. We finally get Digger back at the club (you have to read the other books to know what I mean) and there is still some potential threat and deceptive behavior but nothing revealed or resolved. It is driving me crazy. I need more of the biker elements in this story. There is a bit of biker drama towards the end but it is resolved quickly. I also wondered what was going to happen with Lara’s family.

When Chaser is called by his daughter's school several times in one day he had to react, but he never thought about what the out come would be or learn what he did.
Lara Ashburn is working to help kids stay out of club life, and when she meets Kaylee's dad, Chaser, he rubs her up the wrong way, he's just the type she wants to keep her kids away from.....but he's also smoking hot. The Devil's Keepers enforcer is not going to be a push over, he's mean, and a brute, but neither is Lara, she has her agenda and she's going to see it through.

Will they ever be able to work together to help Kaylee or will they end up tearing each other a part.
An exciting, fast faced story with plenty of steamy action between Chaser and Lara. A great addition to the Devil's Keepers series, I hope there'll be more.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

Lara Ashburn left the biker life long ago, after having been betrayed by a prospect to the club run by her uncle. It was the last straw in a long line of hurt and disappointment. As a child, her father had been killed while a member of an outlaw club, her mother abandoned her and her brother to the club life to live in the civilian world and her uncle had no use for her unless she was useful to the club. Her only remaining tie to that part of her life is her brother who is currently serving time in a federal clubhouse only hours away from her new home in Lagrange, La.

Starting over in this humidity laden landscape, she's done her best to blend in, lay low and stay out of trouble. Unfortunately for her, her current class misfit is also the daughter of the DKMC enforcer, Chaser.

Chaser has enough problems without being called on the carpet because of his daughter's behavior at school. When the prissy school teacher called him seven times in the past 24 hours, he knew a little visit was in order to set the woman straight. What he didn't realize that the uptight and tight-laced woman was going to turn his world upside down. Or that she was very familiar with the biker world.

Lara's inner turmoil at being thrust back into the MC word is palpable. She has to come to terms that her world is turning upside down again and she doesn't know where to go. The words of her brother come back to haunt her "You see what you want to see" and Lara must do a lot of soul searching to find her happily ever after.

Lots of drama and we find out a lot more about Digger and what's in store for the DKMC and all its brethren.

MC romances have always been my favorite but I have to say that adding in a teacher heroine really boost them in my book. This is a book you won’t want to put down once you’ve started – I loved every page.

Ryan aka Chaser has just returned from a long trip to a phone full of voicemails from his teenage daughters teacher requesting a meet. Chaser heads to the school and meets Lara, his daughters teacher. It doesn’t take much from the conversation between Chaser and Lara for Chaser to discern that Lara knows more about club life then she’s willing to admit, then a little bit longer and he has her bent over the desk… This is the start to one crazy roller coaster ride of a relationship. Lara thinks she doesn’t want anything to do with the MC life after all she witnessed having grown up around her uncles MC but Chaser is showing her what it really means to be apart of a Motorcyle Club and it’s nothing like Lara believed. Add in a war against a rival MC, a president who obviously isn’t trust worthy and a threat against Lara and this makes for a angst filled book you’ll not be able to quit.

I love the fast pace of Devil’s Own and that while you can read it as a stand-alone it also manages to pick right up where book 2 left off. The author’s done a brilliant job with this series and I can’t wait for more.

This was near perfect. The tension and the hot banter between H/h was so good until Chaser (H) threw Lara (h) under the bus by telling his mc prez about her connection to another mc so that he could diffuse a tense church meeting. My enjoyment of the book never really recovered after that because it was swept under the rug.

I’m still giving this 3 stars as I enjoyed the book as H/h had chemistry barring that scene and the consequences for Lara who was supposedly hiding from her mc family in Cali.

The cover model was so HOT I didn't wan to return the book to the library. To begin with the first sex scene was so unbelievable . Who does that without a couple of drinks in them and in that setting. I was a little disappointed with the club sex scene as Lara didn't even have to talk herself into it. Would like to read more about what Digger is doing with the with the Club. Love the scenes with Chaser and his daughter and the way he handled it.

***ARC received from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Not my favorite of the series - #2 was. The hero was ok. The heroine was ok. Her adamant hate of MCs then quick switch made my head spin. The chemistry/attraction didn't really work for me as a reader and I was ehhh about the whole thing.

I'd like to slap Chaser for the stuff that came out of his mouth and in his thoughts, and I did think the relationship between Lara and him is just 89% lust, but I still enjoyed the whole drama between them and also in the club.

NO BOOK 4???? HELLO WE NEED A BOOK FOR GRADY AND LAINIE????
