Rate this book
The Nestorian Empire is losing the centuries-old war against a genocidal species. The Empire's last hope is to guide a newly-minted physicist, searching for purpose, to prove Einstein was almost right. What the physicist craves will confront him with a crushing loss that will reveal the true worth of the man inside. But, worse, even the Nestorians don’t know that others want the secret he finds. They’re willing to do anything to get it.

Written by a mechanical engineer turned novelist, this is truly a fascinating blend of science and fantasy, that posits an idea untouched for decades! The strong female main character is unlike any I've ever read before, and she'll keep you guessing until the end of the entire series.
