Her debut novel The Tree Of Jesse, a paranormal romantic thriller, was released this spring, available worldwide. Mattison next novel is Eye Spy the first in a comedic romantic suspense series available this summer.

Liza and Jack are back to investigate a philandering husband and find a best friend's lost love. Liza is officially divorced but is dealing with her sister who is still in the midst of one.
I would have liked to see Liza and Jack's relationship get more physical, but I'm happy they are still making inroads to their relationship. I enjoyed reading this book but I wish the author would have delved a bit deeper into Becky's infidelity and their relationship as sisters. I also wish the romantic tension between Liza and Jack would have been a bit stronger - long drawn out tension. The ending came a bit quickly without a lot of build-up.
Don't get me wrong, I really, really like this series and this is a solid story. I just didn't feel as submerged in the story as the first one. I look forward to the next in the series as I tremendously enjoy Liza and Jack as characters.
