The Good Boss is the third book in Scott Hildreth’s Mafia Made Series. I have read the other two (The Gun Runner and The Game Changer) and can say without a doubt that this is one of the best series that I have read. It’s told with great detail in first person, alternating between the hero Michael Tripp and the heroine Terra Agrioli. In order to get the full experience, the books have to be read in succession. Otherwise, you won’t really understand the depth of all of the relationships.

The Good Boss wraps up the world wind romance between Gun Runner Michael Tripp and Mafia Princess Terra Agrioli. It starts off with Michael trying to get Terra’s Mob Boss father out of jail based on charges stemming from what happened in the previous book and then proceeds to lower the curtain with a Mafia Fairytale Happy Ending. There is a great supporting cast that I wish would also get their own books but I’m sure that Scott Hildreth poured so much into these books that it would be hard to top what’s already been done. The Good Boss was packed with a lot of bravado, love, and was a true homage to family. Michael did everything possible to protect his new mafia family and Terra had to learn what it meant to truly support the family. Which was interesting since she grew up in the family while Michael initially wanted nothing to do with any of them. Over the course of three books, it was truly amazing to see how bonds were formed and roles were reversed.

I can’t stress enough how well written and complexed the characters were. It was a compelling take on the mafia and I had to admire how they ran their business separate from their families. Michael was a true hero and he absolutely earned his happily ever after. I just may have to read other books by Scott Hildreth.

This was the best of all three. The ending was absolutely amazing. I actually had tears streaming down my face I was laughing so hard. The car race, the new truck...
Definitely another favourite by a wonderful author!!

The Good Boss is book #3 in the Mafia Made series. The series should be read in order for the most enjoyment.

Michael Tripp has never wanted to be the leader. He was content being the gun runner, but when Anthony Agrioli finds himself in prison, someone that can be trusted needs to fill in for Anthony. Michael jumps all in. Anthony is the closest thing he has ever had to a father and he will do whatever it takes to prove his innocence.

Being the boss while trying to up revenue and looking through all the evidence the ATF has against Anthony has but the wedding on hold. Terra is not in the right mind to plan the wedding no matter how much she loves Michael.

This series is still on the lighter side of what Mr. Hildreth usually writes but no less exciting. I really like the humor that was placed into this one, it made it more realistic. If you are looking for mafia series with a sexy MC this is the one for you!

5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!

Book Whore Problem #8982402 (because this Book Whore has millions of book related problems)
When your favorite author releases a book that escaped your stalking ways. Then, you forgot that you one-clicked it and you just got around to reading or, in my case, listening to it after searching your audible library for something to listen to while getting some chores and errands done.

Imagine how bad I feel. I have not missed a Scott Hildreth in the past couple of years (three years in Feb 2018). It's a real SMH moment!

Onto my review...
Stop before you continue any further. Have you read the previous books in this series? It is very necessary to read those before you go any deeper.

Okay, now that that's out of the way. I loved how this series played out. It was intense at time, funny throughout, scorching hot, and just like the way I like it.

Tripp shows his absolute loyalty and made me fall for him even more. The beginning of this book was a bit rocky with the uncertainty of Anthony's future. My heart was hurting for Tripp and Terra. At one point I questioned if they were even going to pull through.

I do have to say that I love how Scott writes his characters. He makes it so easy to connect and fall in love with them and not just the mains either. I loved Cap and Michelle. They cracked me up constantly.

The narrators did a great job with the characters in the book. They really fit the characters and brought them to life for me.

This Book Whore is going to be extra vigilant and up my stalking ways. Maybe I will have to see if there is a way for texting/google alerts for Scott's new releases. Hmmm....

I really wanted this series to end with a bang. It didn't. This third book had some great moments, but a lot of it had things that resolved themselves too cleanly, and several of the characters were saying the same things over and over to each other.
I don't understand why Terra's father needed to go through the whole incarceration thing again. It was almost like the author was running out of ideas.
The wedding scenes were nice. I felt like there was too much of a change in Terra's father after his "prison epiphany". He was a mob boss acting like Suzy Sunshine. It didn't work for me.
The ending scene is almost cringe-worthy. It was so saccharine, it gave me a toothache. I wanted this book to be as gritty as the others, but it wasn't. It didn't end with a bang at all. It ended with a big pink bow. Disappointing. This series would have been much better if it had been written to end after the second book. The third book had too much filler, and I think the author let the characters soften up too much.

The Great Boss

Once again, Scott Hildreth brings everything to this book: strong, gorgeous alpha, who's soft when necessary for his girl; strong, but girly and beautiful female, lots of hot sex, some violence. All are necessary and welcome in all of Scott's books. Too bad there are only 5 stars.

***ARC provided by the author for an honest review ***

Author Scott Hildreth is a name you want to know in the romance world! As a fan of his Biker MC Romances I knew his Mafia Made series would be epic! If you are just now joining, I would tell you to stop and start reading The Gun Runner, which is book one. The Good Boss is the third and final in the series and the conclusion to Tripp and Terra's story.

I love a good angst-drama romance with the nitty gritty parts, but then the love that unfolds in between... that's what I love about Scott's writing! He gives you the love story and so much more. He offers you a glimpse into the parts unseen within the operations. His style of writing breathes new life into the mafia world. You cannot go wrong with any of his books, in my opinion!

This novel is the conclusion in Terra and Michael's love story as Terra is having to deal with her father's arrest and her fiancé stepping in to fill his shoes. She never thought she would end up with a man like her father. She loves Michael with all her heart, so she tries to find a way to be the supportive wife-to-be that Michael deserves.

Michael's love for Terra knows no bounds, he would do anything for her. Even stepping up to the plate and filling some pretty big shoes. Michael will do anything to protect the family he never knew he needed. He will do everything in his power to give Terra the life she deserves. But will this come with a price?

The Good Boss is a story of family, love, and loyalty. The depths you will go to protect and keep those you call family safe. I adored Michael. The way he cared for and loved Terra was epic. Terra was an independent woman who knew she could lean on Michael. Watching their relationship evolve, seeing them grow throughout the other books, it all leads up to who they are meant to be. Scott did an amazing job with this conclusion of the series.

I highly recommend The Good Boss, You cannot go wrong with this series. Five stars across the charts.

This is book 3 and the conclusion to Michael and Terra's story.
Everything is changing for them in a huge way,as Michael finds himself having to step in when Terra's father finds himself in jail.
So Michael had to take over the buisness while they try to get him out of jail, the pressure of being the head of the family puts a strain on their relationship.
Terra always hated what her father represents and now her future husband the man she loves is now doing what her father did. This is a wake up call for Terra and she starts to except her family and that they are the Mafia.
She supports Michael and tries to organise a wedding but feeling heartbroken about her father's incarceration.
Michael although not comfortable being The boss goes above and beyond to find a way to bring Terra's father back home.In doing so he realises he has gained a family being with Terra, her father loves him and he finally has the father he always wanted. He had been taken into the trust of the family and he would never betray that trust.
I really love how this book turned out and how Terra and Michaels story ended it was so romantic and perfect.
I was also happy Cap got his HEA to, I love Cap he mad me laugh so much.
This was a very enjoyble read for me and I was so relieved that Michael got what he always wanted,he was such a softie at heart. He had longed to be a part of something for years and finally he got all he need with Terra and the love she gave him.
A very satisfying conclusion to an excellent trilogy.
Loved it

I loved the first book in this series. The second...was okay. This one didn't need to exist. The second and third books should have been rolled into one. I disliked Terra more and more as the books progressed. She became so weak, and I had no interest in listening to her plan her wedding for two books. She doesn't develop much after the first book--she's still a trust fund girl who doesn't have much purpose in her life. All of the action is clearly in Tripp's perspective the second two books, and there's pretty much no need to read about Terra bumbling around doing a lot of nothing, now that Tripp has been made. I almost DNF'd this one. It was repetitive, and really lacked content. I agree with another reviewer that this series started out gritty and got too sweet (and also tried to be a rom com??) at the end, there's a difference between a HEA and sugary overload. It was sort of like reading 200 pages of an epilogue.

And don't even get me started on finding out you're pregnant at three and a half weeks--and the fact that the wedding was two weeks ago. That's barely enough time for a first response test to give you two lines.

I wanted to just love this book, but I felt it left little to the imagination. It was very predictable and ran on a little. There were things I did really enjoy about this series and that is Cap. He is an underlying character but he made me crack up and he was a straight shooter.
I am an avid reader of Mafia stories and I feel like book 1 The Gun Runner was the closest to a true Mafia story. I love how going to prison had changed Anthony. I loved that he was accepting of his son, revealing his truth. I love the relationship that Anthony and Terra shared.
What didn't work for me was Michael's lack of balls! He was sorta soft and a push over. I know he was longing for a family, but literally that was all he would talk about. I need my Mafia capo, to be a badass, and in the last two book in this series, I feel that was lacking.
Even Terra and Michael's relationship was lack luster.
The Epilogue I did enjoy because it brought you finality to the series wrapping up everyone and their relationships.

3.75. Review for the entire trilogy. I loved this trilogy!! In the beginning it was a bit annoying how she lied, but once that was over I enjoyed the rest of the books. I am a bit confused about the 2nd charge on Anthony. I thought they couldn’t charge him again? Little things like that were not enough to ruin my enjoyment. I really liked Michael, Terra and Cap. Not a big fan of Michelle, I would only read her story to get more Cap. He was hilarious. The book was basically a light mafia type read, though there was some gruesome stuff, overall it was light. The epilogue made me happy too. I enjoyed how this author wrote, he really drew me into the story. I’ll definitely check out more of his books.

Michael Tripp has stepped in his future father-in-law position while he was incarcerated. He felt out of place but wanted to help Anthony and his fiancé, Terra to prove that Anthony was innocent. I loved how he was determined to find a loophole in the information provided by the prosecuting attorney. The story is complex and captivating with interesting characters especially Caps. It would be awesome to read more about Caps. A great addition to the Man Made series.

What a fantastic series! In book 1, I was a little disappointed in Terra’s character because I felt she was not fully fleshed out, she was rather simplistic. She was fully developed in Book 2. All characters are well rounded, well written. There’s a true sense of family, honor, and loyalty in this book. Ironic since the start of the series Michael Tripp wanted little to … nothing to do with the Agrioli family…and Terra didn’t want to be with someone in the “business.”

This series was so great that I could see a spin off, but it’s pretty perfect as is. Go read this series.

What a wild ride, I think the first 25% of the book was just as exciting as the others in the series, but after that I find it dragged a lot, I loved hearing how this all turned out for Tripp and Terra, but i just felt the book lacked the excitement of the rest of the series, but still a must read.

This book is the conclusion to the Mafia Made trilogy. The Good Boss brings Tripp everything he has ever wanted with a family and Terra learns what it's like to be a mafia wife. This book tied everything together and it has been an enjoyable series to read, although lighter on the Mafia side of things.

An emotional end to the Mafia Made series. The Good Boss brings to close the saga that evolved from Tripp and Terra first meeting. Fans of the series will have many of their questions answered, but for me the ending was a little too neat. Still a great read, but ...

The Good Boss is the third and final book in the Mafia Made series.

With Terra's dad being arrested, Michael is now in charge and will do whatever is necessary to clear Anthony's name and make him proud. All her life, Terra turned a blind eye to her father's business. Being engaged to Michael, it's time to face reality and become the strong, supportive woman she needs to be.

This story is about loyalty and family and the extreme lengths you'll go to in order to keep those you love safe. I adored Michael. He had a hard, sad childhood and for the first time he belonged. Terra is great too. She's funny and strong and loves her hot sexy man. The love these two share was truly something special. The secondary characters added to the story and I enjoyed them also. I'd love to see more of Cap and Michelle and see how their happy ending turns out.

Scott Hildreth is one of my favorite authors. His books have a way of sucking me in and making me feel as though I'm right there with the characters. He always throws in a little humor and you can count on his characters being relatable and believable. I enjoyed this series and am looking forward to more from this amazing author.

This last book of the series was a joy to read. If I were a mafia boss, I would want to be just like Michael. In Scott Hildreth's book world, men have honor codes that they live by, they treat women, especially the woman they love, with the utmost respect while also being the best lover imaginable. They also treat co-workers and those that work for them the same way. I want to live in this world because it sounds just about perfect to me. Kudos to the author for another terrific book set in that world. I can't say enough about how wonderful it is to dwell here for just a couple days while I read each book. I'm sounding too sappy for even my idealistic ears, so I'll go now. Thanks, Scott, for all these kinds of books you write. I'm just the kind of girl who wants to live in this world.

The Good Boss

First let me complain a bit about the dog they took it as no big deal I'd be devastated if my dog was taken. Now the church scene before the wedding my god I laughed so hard it was just hilarious. I do wish there was more substance in the book about the mafia a backstory something but in the end it was a good end to the series with a HEA.

Love

The emotional roller coaster of this book is nerve racking. The love between the characters through it all is amazing. Sometimes a trying event in your life can change your whole outlook of life.
