Un roman qui évoque la famille, l'amour et les non-dits. Très émouvant.

I found this cheap cheesy novel in a thrift shop in Vancouver and I was like, let me read this book in preparation for my French test in a week, it doesn’t look very difficult to read. And it really wasn’t, I got through it so smoothly which made me feel pretty good about myself. It was very cheesy though……….. also I may have gotten a bit teary-eyed at some point lmao.

I looked the book up on here afterwards to add it to my read-list and saw a review that said « this book is written like it’s meant for infants ». What a way to knock my confidence, Mary.

Anyways I passed for the French test.
Suck on that, miss thing.

On my last day in Toronto, I gave this book to a friend who lives there, he’s learning French and God knows he needs this particular book and its « infantile » writing. No shade.

j'ai du le lire pour les cours, et jsp pk mais j'ai pas spécialement aimé. en fait, je me suis pas attachée aux personnages, et pour moi c'est ultra important ça. j'ai pas du tout compris pourquoi la tromperie de la mère de Nicolas était traitée comme ça, mais c'est peut-être moi. bref, pas désagréable mais pas forcément mon genre.

Un sujet intéressant, à partir de 14/15 ans, mais écrit pour un enfant de 10... Dommage !

Un roman chargé en émotion sur les relations humaines, familiales et amoureuses, original et étonnant lorsque l'on s'attend à une classique romance ado ! A lire !

Au vu des avis que j'avais lus, je m'attendais à autre chose. Donc j'ai été un peu déçue... Mais, la qualité narrative nous emporte dans cette histoire atypique. La fin se lit comme un thriller : le lecteur est capté et veut connaitre le dénouement.
